No, CO2 Did Not Remain Constant for Millions of Years Before Industrialism

Timothy Birdnow

In a Facebook group I belong to a man named John Levett asked this question:

How do we counter the argument that the extra 120ppm since the industrial revolution is man made?

A man named Robert Rosicka replied:

By using carbon dating ! , they can tell exactly what is and isn’t from humans but the info seems to be hard to find and varies between some . Not that the figure changes by that much though , 96% - 97% of all CO2 that is in the atmosphere is from nature . So 3% or 4% of 0.04% is from man the rest is natural which is provable by using carbon dating and analysing what the exact composition of the CO2 , and that basically means that even if CO2 somehow changed the temperature the amount humans were responsible for is a statistically meaningless and insignificant fraction . There is no proof that CO2 does anything more than feed plants and green deserts , there are theories and models which only prove that if you change the numbers to suit a theory you can get any answer you want .

Mr. Levett responds:

Carbon dating? Can you supply me with the research for this please? Also, what has caused the large increase in CO2 from 280ppm, which apparently has stayed constant for a million years. I'm fairly certain this is one of the main arguments the AGW mob use to 'prove' that the increase in CO2 is man made.

I reply:

John Levitt your assertion that atmospheric carbon dioxide was the same for "millions of years" is incorrect. During the Pleistocene it hovered around 250 ppm (very low, as the Earth went through an ice age) See https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-019-12357-5 and https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-019-12357-5 Also, Atmospheric CO2 dipped as low as 180 ppm https://www.osti.gov/biblio/95878-photosynthetic-adaptations-low-atmospheric-co2-evels-late-pleistocene and then with the warm up of the early Holocene it increased to 300 ppm. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/46595362_Early_Holocene_atmospheric_CO2_concentrations#:~:text=In%20contrast%20to%20conventional%20ice%20core%20estimates%20of,carbon%20dioxide%20concentrations%20were%20well%20above%20300%20ppmv.

\Note that was without any real human emissions. If anyone believes campfires caused that I have a nice bridge on the market cheap.

It was clearly a function of a warming planet. And that largely explains our current increase in atmospheric CO2 - especially since we are coming out of the Little Ice Age. Warming is inevitable, and so too is more outgassing of carbon dioxide.

I would add that carbon dioxide is known to follow a warmup by about 800 years and eight hundred years ago we were in the peak of the Medieval Warming Period.

At any rate, we are living in an era of low carbon dioxide. CO2 rise has been greening the planet, to our great good fortune.

I would also add that despite the pandemic shutdown and a reduction of industrial emissions the rate of growth of CO2 in the atmosphere continued rising at the same rate. https://research.noaa.gov/article/ArtMID/587/ArticleID/2742/Despite-pandemic-shutdowns-carbon-dioxide-and-methane-surged-in-2020

How does one square that with claims that industry is cranking out CO2? Well, solar activity has increased over the last century https://www.space.com/2942-sun-activity-increased-century-study-confirms.html, something likely to cause more outgassing. Also, there has been an uptick in volcanic activity, and it will likely continue to increase. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/get-ready-for-more-volcanic-eruptions-as-the-planet-warms/

CO2 driven climate change is rather like the old Medieval argument over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. The pie keeps getting thinner and thinner as we learn of alternate explanations of carbon dioxide levels and heating.

Oh, one must also ask if the data we are obtaining is accurate. It is taken at a station on the lip of an active volcano, after all.

Nature Controls CO2 - Not Man

Dr. Tomer Tamarkin

"The net amount of equilibrated carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere is the same as if human beings never existed. Climate change is a natural phenomenon and not man-made.”

Net amount of CO2 means the residual amount of CO2 in the atmospheric CO2 reservoir after all sinks, sources, and temperature dependent equilibrium as a function of Henry’s Law.

Mr. Bud Bromley and I recently completed a science and math based data experiment demonstrating that this is fundamentally true predicated on the analysis of long term NOAA Mauna Lao CO2 data and using the July 1991 eruption of the Pinatubo volcano as a reference marker event.

I have written an introduction to the background, method, and findings of our experimental project with links to our full report, various addendums, an extensive glossary of terms and bios of our team and a comprehensive video lecture by Mr. Bromley as introduced by me.

The article is titled "Nature Controls CO2 – Not Man” and may be found at:

Timothy Birdnow

The feds are going after Elon Musk now over his attempt to purchase Twitter.

From the Reuters article:

WILMINGTON (Reuters) – Elon Musk is being investigated by federal authorities over his conduct in his $44 billion takeover deal for Twitter, the social media company said in a court filing released on Thursday. While the filing said he was under investigations, it did not say what the exact focus of the probes were and which federal authorities are conducting them.

So now a guy trying to buy a platform, one that tried to swindle him with fake, pumped up numbers, is going to be investigated because he's not sufficiently politically correct.

We live in a despotism.

Investigation is Futile

Margaret Holwill

So the GOP is making noise about impeaching Majorkas over the lie about the border agents "whipping" the poor invading migrants.

Congressional investigations are futile. The Democrats will participate and attempt to strangle any investigation in its crib just as they did with the Benghazi hearings and Senate SCOTUS hearings.

The Democrats have a group of Dark Money influence operations that do their dirty work for them.
There are many of these groups that specialize in specific areas. There is one specifically dedicated to judicial appointments.

An example is The Moscow Project, a Dark Money initiative of the Center for American Progress, itself a Dark Money project aimed at discrediting all things Trump.
The Moscow Project was and still is solely dedicated to establishing Trump’s ties to Russia and providing the material to the Media, Democrats in Congress, investigations like the Mueller probe, and any other outlets.
They are not limited by rules of any sort, nor money.

The Great Chauvin/Floyd Lie

James Doogue

I've just watched this documentary by Candace Owens titled 'The Greatest Lie Ever Sold'. Some key points:

- George Floyd was a criminal with many drug and violence convictions.

- In an earlier arrest he cried and asked for his Mama. Testimony was given that this was his pet name for his girlfriend. The media claimed at the time of his fatal arrest, he was calling out for his mother.

- Various members of George Floyd's family went on TV claiming how much they loved Floyd. I believe they have been given a settlement from the City of Minneapolis. It turns out in two years, nobody from his family has turned up at his place of residence to collect his personal possessions.

- George Floyd was placed on the ground at his request as shown on the body cam footage.

- Floyd claimed he was claustrophobic when placed in the police car. When he was approached for questioning he was sitting in a car with his drug dealer!

- Floyd had tried to tender a counterfeit $20 note which was the reason the police were called.

- Floyd had swallowed pills containing a fatal dose of fentanyl many times more than the amount required to kill him. He likely did that in the hope of avoiding arrest for possession.

- There was no physiological evidence from Floyd's autopsy indicating he died of asphyxiation. All the evidence pointed to heart failure due to a toxic drug overdose.

- Before the case against officer Derek Chauvin was completed many politicians including President Biden had indicated they believed Officer Chauvin murdered George Floyd.

- The jurors in the trial of Derek Chauvin were either frightened into giving a guilty verdict fearing riots if they didn't. Or they were tricked by the media into believing Derek Chauvin had intentionally killed Floyd.

- People who knew officer Chauvin at work and privately claim he was a quiet guy who had not exhibited any racist attitudes.

- Video of the scene appeared to show Chauvin had his knee on Floyd's neck. That is a picture created by the angle and two dimensional nature of the video. Body cam footage from the officer next to Chauvin shows his knee was on Floyd's left shoulder. Time stamps of both videos are from the same moment.

- Over $80 million was collected by the BLM charity. Millions of dollars found its way to friends and family of the head of BLM. More millions went to personal property purchases.

- BLM also claim they gave many millions to various activist groups including transgender activist groups. None of the charities listed have current IRS filings to confirm receipts of those donations.

- Some people were coerced into donating to BLM under threat of their businesses being targeted.

The obvious conclusions are that Derek Chauvin did not deserve to be convicted of premeditated murder. George Floyd was not the person canonised by the media. The Black Lives Matters charity has defrauded many millions of dollars. The BLM movement, protests, and the billions of dollars in damage were all based on a lie.

Note: Unfortunately the movie is currently behind a paywall at The Daily Wire unless you can find a pirated copy.

Is Missile Defense a Good Idea

Lance Sjogren asks:

Any military buffs who could comment on this?

With the renewed risk of nuclear war, should the US be developing new antimissile systems? After all, it is the only possible direct defense against the Russian nuclear arsenal The only defense that exists right now is mutual assured destruction- if they blow us up, we blow them up.

For all I know maybe there are new missile defense systems being worked on already. It seems to me with the advances in semiconductors and other technology that missile defense today could be far superior to the systems developed several decades ago.

But also I wonder how much it matters. If some nukes are launched and they get intercepted and exploded en route, will it just mean they will blow up in the air and spew radiation all over and kill off everyone anyway?

Tim replies:

Tricky question. On the one hand leaving ourselves open with MAD is not a sustainable policy; it means any conflict can lead to all out nuclear war. On the other hand offensive technology is always ahead of defensive, and stopping incoming missiles is quite difficult. Stealth technology and a host of other things make it nearly impossible to stop all or even most missiles, however losing ten, fifteen cities is better than losing all of them.

Also, if missile defense works it would mean a whole new approach to mass destruction - like using biological weapons instead of nukes.

Personally, I favor missile defense. I think that we should try everything we can to stop a nuclear attack. And if there is an accidental launch we can stop it. Now if someone accidentally launches the birds it's doomsday.

We almost had a nuclear war over a flock of birds in East Germany back in the Cold War days.

As for you last worry about radiation from destroyed missiles, there would be some but not that much. It would be a "radiological bomb" essentially and the winds would disperse the radiation so it wouldn't really be much, if anything. The dangerous radioactivity stems from the detonation of the bomb, not the material in the bomb itself. The release of gamma rays and the powerful explosive force destabilizes dirt and debris and makes it radioactive fallout. You don't get that with the bomb itself air-bursting.

But you do get a powerful Compton effect. That is where a gamma ray burst strips electrons off the air molecules and it proceeds as a shock wave of highly energetic electromagnetic
energy. An EMP. It moves too fast for surge protectors, I might add, so it would knock out the electronics in line of sight.

BUT none of that happens when you simply destroy a nuclear weapon in the air (unless you nuke it.) Missile defense is generally safe in that regard.

Which is why I favor it; it destroys the missiles before they can explode. Anything that does that is worth while, in my view. But it also means those with the weapons may feel more comfortable launching - and those who don't launch may become complacent with their perceived defensive system in place.

One final word; the Russians were furious that we planned to deploy a missile defense system, largely because they couldn't do it themselves and felt it necessary to keep up with us. It was a big part of what brought the Soviet Union down. NOT the deployment but the threat of it.

This was just one of the many mistakes the U.S. made in the post-Soviet era. We promised to build a nuclear umbrella, and at the same time expanded NATO to Russia's doorstep. We also took steps to build a pipeline to bring Asian gas and oil to Europe while circumventing Russia, and began pushing the "green" tech to hurt their economy. We also manipulated the petrodollar at Russia's expense.

They have reason for grievance.

The Devil and Alex Jones

Lance Sjogren

Alex Jones was never allowed to present a defense in his trial. Connecticut has adopted the North Korean standard of justice.

Fortunately they haven't been able to imprison him, so he has been able to present his defense on the Steven Crowder show.

I never listened to Alex Jones before except one time he was on Tim Pool's show. But after watching him on the Crowder show I find him to be an impressive person, far different than the conspiracy theory whack job image that the media has perpetrated. Thanks to the leftist psychos, there is now one person who respects Alex Jones who didn't before. There will probably be many more.

One thing I didn't realize before: I thought he was declared guilty by default and ineligible for a trial because of not showing up to the court proceedings. But it was in fact because the judge ran him through a Kafkaesque labyrinth of demands in discovery and declared him in noncompliance after he made a good faith effort to comply. It comes across to me as an absolutely fascistic legal proceeding.

Tim adds:

You know, Erdogen in Turkey just pushed a law through making "fake news" a jailable offense.  Look for this to spread like a plague to the West - and here. Biden has already made it clear he wants a government bureau to impose such things.

This was and is a political attack on free speech. The plaintiffs were not materially damaged. This kind of suit never goes anywhere - except it did here because the judge made sure it did. This is an assault on the First Amendment.

The lawyers would have tried to settle this if they had their client's best interests in mind. But they went for the big, big kill, an amount guaranteed to NOT be paid. It did not serve their clients' interests. But it wasn't intended to do so. It was intended to shut Jones' mouth, and the mouths of others who may oppose the ruling class.

I know a political hit job when I see one.

It’s Time To Tell Biden We Say ‘NO!’ To Nuclear War!

By Ron Paul, MD

donate Share

Last week the New York Times ran a shocking article claiming that the US intelligence community believes the Ukrainian government to be responsible for the August attack that killed Darya Dugina, the daughter of a prominent Russian philosopher.

Surely the established narrative that Ukraine is a model western democracy standing strong for our shared values against an aggressive Russian invader is damaged with reporting that Kiev conducted an al-Qaeda style attack on an innocent civilian inside Russia. The murder of Dugina was a textbook definition of terrorism, which is, "the use of violence or the threat of violence, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political goals.”

Just over a month later, the Nordstream pipelines were blown up, seemingly ending at least in the near term the possibility that Germany may find a way to save its economy by mending fences with its main energy supplier. A leading Polish politician thanked the US for doing the job.

Then over the weekend, the bridge connecting mainland Russia to Crimea was bombed, killing at least six civilians and leaving part of the bridge under water. Traffic was restored hours after the attack, but Russian President Vladimir Putin placed the blame on Ukraine’s intelligence service. We all know that Ukraine relies on its US masters, so we can assume the US provided the intelligence allowing the targeting of the bridge.

There is a pattern here. More and more brazen attacks are being launched against Russia and Washington is doing little to hide US fingerprints. Why?

The Biden Administration seems to be moving us closer to nuclear war over Ukraine and Biden himself seems to know it. Last week he said, Putin "is not joking when he talks about potential use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons…” For the "first time since the Cuban missile crisis, we have a direct threat of the use [of nuclear weapons] if in fact things continue down the path they are going.”

So the question is if he knows that his proxy war against Russia is moving us closer to the unthinkable – nuclear annihilation – why does his Administration persist in crossing red line after red line? Apparently, Biden’s "experts” believe that Putin is bluffing and will do nothing about the Dugina assassination, the Nordstream pipeline sabotage, and the Kerch Bridge attack.

But what if they’re wrong?

Normally foreign policy action should be weighed on a cost/benefit basis. Will adopting one particular policy benefit the United States more than the risks involved? In this case there is absolutely nothing on the positive side of the ledger. Will the security and prosperity of the United States benefit more from regime change in Russia than it would suffer should nuclear war break out?

It doesn’t seem all that hard. No.

So what’s going on here? Why does the US Administration – with the support of most Republicans in Congress – continue to send tens of billions of dollars in military aid and move us toward nuclear war over a conflict that has nothing at all to do with the United States?

The time to end US participation in this war is yesterday. And if it takes millions of Americans in the streets peacefully protesting while demanding that their representatives stop this madness, then bring it on. Tomorrow may be too late

Biden Renews Emergency Powers

Timothy Birdnow

Despite the pandemic being well over, Joe "mail in" Biden has renewed the state of emergency over Covid for another three months, taking it past the Nov. elections.

Joe Biden is on record as saying the pandemic is over. He told journalist Scott Pelley that very thing at the Detroit auto show. So how can he extend a state of emergency for a pandemic that is, by his own admission, over?

Shouldn't this be grounds for impeaching Biden? He declared the emergency over then kept the emergency powers.

Biden IS the emergency. He's killing America.

And if the state of emergency is still in place, will that justify blue state governors to once again overturn their election laws and implement "emergency" voting protocols, the kind that stole the last election?

In Georgia Stacey Abrams ran an ad today calling all white people white supremist who refuse to give black folks a drink of water. I about fell out of my chair. We are turning our backs and letting too much of this black racism get out of hand.

She is a vile racist and moron. https://gbpi.org/georgia-human-services-budget-primer-for-state-fiscal-year-2022/

" Georgia's 2022 Human Services Budget The $817 million FY 2022 budget for the Department of Human Services (DHS) increases spending from FY 2021 levels by $20 million to protect the safety of Georgia's most vulnerable children and families. "

I suppose none of that went to black people?

Stacey Abrams is an affirmative action candidate who would be dispensing Cokes at the local McDonalds were she not black.

No, she is a black supremacist who wants not to share America but to take over and oppress white people and other minorities who do not share her race.
