The DOJ is now walking back claims the goal of the rioters was to capture politicians and murder them.
From the CNN article:
[...]
Ya think?!
IF that was the goal, why weren't these people packing? I mean, who tries to kidnap politicians guarded by security without weapons? How were they going to kill them? Tickle them to death?
The stupidity of this is astounding, but the media dutifully reports it and will not promote a retraction as vociferously as they did the original allegation. So many Americans will believe it.
We live in gaslight square...

Well they finally admit it!
From El Zoro:
"One of the other purposes of impeachment, in this case, is to make sure that President Trump is not able to run for federal office again, that he’s not able to seek the presidency," Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, told ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., told CNN's "State of the Union" that the Constitution "talks about conviction, removal, and disqualification from holding further public office." Both Raskin and Castro are House impeachment managers.
Even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who claimed that Trump needed to be removed immediately, acknowledged that there is another motive behind impeaching him.
That's not all; it would strip Trump of his security clearance, meaning he would not be able to see what the Democrats are doing. It would effectively stop him from pursuing his tormentors after he leaves office. And it is necessary to punish Trump openly, publicly, so as to discourage others from doing what he did and to demoralize his base. Don't underestimate that last; they want us to surrender and love Big Brother. Trump acted as a focal point for the rebellious. They need to publicly cut off the serpent's head. And the Demoleft is willing to destroy the fabric of American politics do get their way. This is a Pandora's box; impeach Trump and every President is ripe for impeachment. Do it post Presidency and where does it stop?
The Democrats don't care; they care for nothing but their own power.

America imposed the Real I.D. Act some time ago, and my home state of Missouri refused to go along, holding a referendum that said no part of the act could be imposed in Missouri. Wrong; the State legislature overruled the People under duress from the Feds and now we will have to have one to fly or go into any federal building. But we can still vote with no documentation of any kind!
Steven Schueler observes:
Checkpoints with ID required too, don't'chaknow, how are all the poor, disadvantaged minorities who don't have the ability to get ID going to be able to get to the grocery store?
Aren't required ID's unAmerican and an assault on our democracy, a means to keep the rabble in their place according to Liberal Democrats?
I guess ID's are only a bad thing when required for voting, not when required for going to the grocery, or pharmacy, or out for a stroll around the nation's capitol.
Tim adds:
We can't have a wall on our southern border but can have a wall of razor wire around the nation's capitol for Joe Biden's inauguration? So walls DO work! It's just whose ox is being gored.

And now we know that the claims that the state capitals were all going to be swamped by violent protests over this last weekend was a LIE. It didn't happen. No capital had more than small groups. And no violence of threat of same. Once again, American was gaslighted with the "violent conservatives" myth.

If you believe "right-wingers"
Absolutely right. Case in point; if this "insurgency" in D.C. had been even remotely organized there would have been firearms and explosives present in numbers. Also, there would have been more than just a few people breaking into the Capitol; they would have gone after other buildings in D.C. as well. This was the exception that proves the rule; no organized right wing radicalism is present. It is, in fact, why the Tea Party fizzled out; no internal organization and no major funding. The same cannot in any way be said of the Left. Just visit David Horowitz's Discover the Networks if you want to know who is funding the Left and how they are organized. http://

National Guard Troops Deployed for Biden Inauguration is More than Triple the Amount Deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan Combined
Liberal babies always try to say Conservatives are afraid and aggressive because of that. But who is the coward here? I've always argued liberals are projecting when they claim we are the fraidycats; they are the ones who need Mommy and Daddy to protect them and keep them safe in their playpens. We've never had that kind of security, not even when Trump was inaugurated.
The Left had to promote an army to protect the senile fool they stole an election for.

This is for the Inauguration of the party whose members have argued strenuously for the last four years that walls don't work ... I guess it depends on who builds them.
I've run out of descriptive terms for this level of hypocrisy.

You might be a liberal if the last ten years of violent, destructive, fatal riots in America did not phase you, but a few broken windows in the Capitol from one incursion seems like "insurrection."

This, and your claim of over 50 fraud claims losing in court, piqued my interest. I thought the number seemed high.
In response, I asked you to find one of them that found no fraud, rather than it being dismissed on other grounds.
First, you were right. There were 55 cases.
Of these, 40 were either dropped by the plaintiffs (generally for lack of time and money) or dismissed on procedural grounds.
In 6 of them, there is an ongoing appeal. I did love it that in one case the judge said "Come back on Jan 22nd, we'll take up the appeal then."
In 3 of them, there is an ongoing trial ... yeah, like that helps.
That leaves us with exactly six cases where judges actually ruled on them.
Four were dismissed for lack of standing.
One, hilariously, was denied because it was filed too late ... the court said there was plenty of time to file it before the election.
And in the other, the court ruled that yes, despite Democrat claims to the contrary, observers actually had to be allowed observe. Makes a man wonder what they didn't want the observers to see ...
In short ... I find none where the court actually took the trouble to allow the plaintiffs to present evidence of fraud. Yes, in a certain number of cases I'm sure that the plaintiffs' claims might not have been up to normal court standards ... but they had to be prepared and presented in a huge hurry if they were to make a difference.
If you find one where the judges ruled on whether or not there actually was fraud ... please let us know.

This story is interesting in a number of ways.
First, it claims the F.B.I. said the mostly peaceful protest in Washington was about seizing control of the government and assassinating lawmakers.
HUH??!!
What kind of coup is conducted without firearms or weapons of any kind? How can the F.B.I. say that with a straight face?
The Blaze claims they have since pulled back that statement.
Here's another interesting piece:
A lawyer for Chansley is reportedly seeking a pardon from President Donald Trump for his client's role in the U.S. Capitol raid.
Chansley has allegedly stated that he "accepted the president's invitation" to march on the U.S. Capitol "with good intentions."
Chansley's attorney, Albert Watkins, issued a statement Thursday on his client, saying that he should be pardoned.
"My client had heard the oft-repeated words of President Trump," Watkins said about the incident. "The words and invitation of a president are supposed to mean something. Given the peaceful and compliant fashion in which Mr. Chansley comported himself, it would be appropriate and honorable for the president to pardon Mr. Chansley and other like-minded, peaceful individuals who accepted the president's invitation with honorable intentions."
Watkins concluded, "Mr. Chansley is an American; he served honorably in the US military. He has zero criminal history. He is a lover of nature, routinely practices meditation, is an active practicer of yoga, and eats only organic food. He took seriously the countless messages of President Trump. He believed in President Trump. Like tens of millions of other Americans, Chansley felt — for the first time in his life — as though his voice was being heard."
See what they are trying to do here? They are trying to set Trump up. They are blaming the President for the violence that Mr. Chamsley committed in penetrating the Capitol. But he couldn't have gotten there that quickly; he clearly had to have moved BEFORE Mr. Trump addressed the crowd. And even if he did, so what? Somebody can read anything into anything if they want. Nowhere in Trump's speech did he call for violence or vandalism.
But they are trying to lay the blame on Trump. The lawyer knows Trump isn't going to pardon his client; he wants to give the media another tool to bash the President.
More and more this is looking like a false flag.

The Democrats say they were briefed on a plot to surround the Capitol on inauguration day.
What does that tell us class? There are moles or the government is itself in on it. So why did it reach the point of violence in D.C.? Increasingly this looks like a Reichstag fire.
Democrats say police briefed them on plot by armed extremists to surround the US Capitol on Inauguration Day
From the Blaze article:
According to Democratic lawmakers who have spoken to the media, at least one plot involves a plan to take members of Congress hostage or even assassinate them as part of an insurrection against the U.S. government.
Reports by HuffPost and others indicate Democratic lawmakers were told of three planned demonstrationsthat could possibly lead to violence. One demonstration was billed as the "largest armed protest ever to take place on American soil," according to members of Congress who spoke to HuffPost anonymously.
A second protest will reportedly be held to honor Ashli Babbitt, the woman killed by Capitol Police during the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters.
The third reported plot is a planned insurrection against Congress to remove Democrats from power.
Rep. Conor Lamb (D-Penn.) on Tuesday told CNNhe was briefed on this plan, which involves thousands of armed "patriots" who intend to surround the Capitol building and prevent Democratic lawmakers from entering the building.
Odd no Republican lawmakers are verifying this.Democrat Connor Lamb says:
"They were talking about 4,000 armed 'patriots' to surround the Capitol and prevent any Democrat from going in," Lamb said. "They have published rules of engagement, meaning when you shoot and when you don't. So this is an organized group that has a plan. They are committed to doing what they're doing because I think in their minds, you know, they are patriots and they're talking about 1776 and so this is now a contest of wills."
"We are not negotiating with or reasoning with these people. They have to be prosecuted. They have to be stopped. And unfortunately, that includes the president, which is why he needs to be impeached and removed from office," he added.
Wouldn't that be the exact wrong approach, to slap the bear on the muzzle? Wouldn't the impeachment of Trump, the man being portrayed as Der Fuehrer, simply enrage these people? Wouldn't reconciliation be the logical approach at this time? This shows a purge is in the offing.

I just looked up the stats.
The BLM riots were far and away the most costly in US history. They caused over $2 BILLION in damages with over 14,000 people arrested, caused 23 deaths including a 77-year-old retired St. Louis police captain and a 22-year-old woman, burned churches, defaced and beheaded religious statures, injured over 700 Police Officers, beat praying parishioners, and lasted for over seven months.
These riots were both encouraged and supported by Democrats. Democrat mayors encouraged the violence by keeping the police from stopping the riots. See Portland and Seattle for the most egregious examples.
Democrats including Kamala Harris supported the riots by providing funds for bail so people could riot again. Democrat DAs let people walk with no bail, and often they were rioting the next day.
And the Democrats managed to have their entire Democratic Convention without a single speaker mentioning the BLM riots.
So while I oppose and condemn all violence from the right or the left, comparing that to one afternoon when Duck Dynasty and Bullwinkle invaded the "sacred" home containing some of the slimiest politicians on the planet is a sick joke.
