The Mask of the Red Menace

From Dr. Roy Spencer:

A COVID-19 story & the dangers of politicizing a virus:

I just asked a friend in a major U.S. city who owns a successful medical testing business his opinion about masks. He is on the advisory board to one of the top hospitals in the country (you'd recognize the name), and is an expert in immunology, epidemiology, and a couple other medical-ologies . His wife is an ER nurse. They both believe that the public wearing masks is probably doing more harm than good, because cloth masks are being reused, laid down on unsanitary surfaces, and recycling bacteria from the wearer.

But that wasn't the main point he wanted to make.

He told the story of a friend whose wife recently got very sick with COVID-like symptoms and was admitted to a very good hospital in the city. She was told she had COVID by three top medical professionals.

The husband called my friend to say her health was failing and was not expected to live. My friend told him to INSIST she be tested for other illnesses. They did, and discovered she had Legionnaires disease, which is bacterial, not viral. She was treated and released a day or so later.

(He also related that he has personally known more people to commit suicide in recent months than have had COVID.)

COVID-mania is causing harm. "Following the science" means making rational decisions, but when the government pays hospitals extra $$ for having COVID patients, you can bet that every illness will suddenly look more like COVID than before the financial incentive existed.

A word from Tim:

Very interesting...I wonder if Legionella isn't exascerbated by wearing the mask. If you were exposed to it, and wear a mask, does that make you develop legionaire's?

Certainly being shut inside the house with doors and windows closed can increase your chances of developing the disease.

It should be pointed out that when a test is done for the disease they only check for Legionella Pneumophilia and not the other kinds of Legionella (such as Longbeachae.

How many cases of legionaire's have been misdiagnosed as Wuflu?

Oh, and here is a paper that has this interesting tidbit

"The mechanisms by which compost use increases the risk for disease appear to include the activities that increase the likelihood of its aerosolization and activities that could lead to compost being transferred to the face or mouth, presumably leading to inhalation of particles contaminated with Legionella bacteria. Our findings suggest that the biggest reduction in L. longbeachae disease could be made by eliminating activities that aerosolize compost (population attributable fraction 65%). We also found that hand hygiene might be a useful measure for preventing L. longbeachae disease, with the potential to reduce disease by 35%. However, we did not demonstrate a benefit from wearing gloves or masks while gardening"

So, they found no value to wearing a mask while gardening.

And that is a bacterium, not a virus.

Cultural Appropriations

This from Dr. Roy Spencer:

Somebody at the Smithsonian really didn't think this through. Did you know that "white culture" is to blame for such racially-motiva

ted and harmful concepts as the scientific method, politeness, punctuality, self reliance, hard work, property rights, English common law, and Christianity? Are these really racial issues? Or is someone trying to stoke racial division to promote Marxist ideologies?

African American History Museum Releases "Whiteness" Chart

...and following this logic, would it be considered cultural appropriation for a non-white race to partake in the benefits of these characteristics
by using cell phones, cars, microwave ovens, and TVs, owning a home, or being a Christian? This is insanity.

Tim chimes in:

Cultural appropriation for sure, Roy W. Spencer! Hey, if it's wrong for white girls to wear hoop earrings, it clearly is wrong for black people to drive cars, or use air conditioners, etc.

Abstracting America to Death

This from E. Calvin Beisner:

Americans---all

Americans, conservative and liberal, Left and Right, "white" and "black" and "yellow" and "red" and "brown," rich and middle class and poor, well educated and poorly educated, all of us---are rapidly losing our country. I say this despite the fact that some people think they have been excluded from the historically exceptional privileges many other Americans enjoy. The truth is that our Constitutional order has enabled more and more of us through generations to enjoy those privileges. Now, however, we are on the verge of casting all those privileges aside in the pursuit of abstractions. If we---lots of us, of every stripe---don't gain better understanding than is now common of the roots from which America grew, we shall lose the whole thing. I commend this book review to launch, or boost, your thinking in that direction.

Masks Serve No Good Purpose

Timothy Birdnow

This from Dr. Marilyn M. Singleton M.D. JD. at the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons.

From the article:

+ Conclusion: Wearing masks will not reduce SARS-CoV-2.
# N95 masks protect health care workers, but are not recommended for source control transmission.
# Surgical masks are better than cloth but not very efficient at preventing emissions from infected patients.
# Cloth masks will be ineffective at preventing SARS-CoV-2 transmission, whether worn as source control or as personal protective equipment (PPE).

"Masks may confuse that message and give people a false sense of security. If masks had been the solution in Asia, shouldn’t they have stopped the pandemic before it spread elsewhere?”

Kemp Says No to Forced Masking

Timothy Birdnow

He shows potential.

Georgia Governor Bars Cities, Counties From Requiring Masks

Brian Kemp did extend bans on large groups, but at least he had the good sense to state masks cannot be forced on the People.

From the article:

Local officials expressed anger over the order.

"It is officially official. Governor Kemp does not give a damn about us,”Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, a Democrat who issued an order requiring masks in public, wrote in a social media statement.

"Every man and woman for himself/herself. Ignore the science and survive the best you can,” Johnson added.

Athens-Clarke County Mayor Pro-Tempore Russell Edwards, a Democrat, called the new order an example of "sociopathic disregard.”

"Quite a time thumbing through the thesaurus to describe this malignant Governor and his abominable actions,” he said in a post on Twitter. Kemp has encouraged state residents to wear masks and regularly dons one while in public.

Some public health officials say wearing masks helps stop the spread oftheCCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes the COVID-19 disease. Critics say there isn’t enough evidence to force people to wear masks.

Un, science shows no such thing; there is nothing to support the assertion masks help prevent the spread of this virus. It would only work if they were form fitting and Hepa masks. Nobody has such protection.

Basically people are wearing condoms made of breathable cloth that are too big. Yeah; real effective. And viruses generally come through the eyes, and you get them from surfaces, not airborn.

Duh.

Explosions, Fires in Iran

Timothy Birdnow

Oh my!

At Least 7 Ships on Fire at Iranian Port

At least seven ships were on fire in the southern Iranian port city of Bushehr, Tasnim reported on Wednesday, adding that the cause of the fires remains unclear.

Efforts are underway to bring the fire under control, IRNA cited Jahangir Dehghani, the head of the crisis management organization for Bushehr province, as saying.

The incident follows a series of explosions which have rocked Iran in recent weeks.

An explosion occurred at an Iranian chemical plant Monday, Iranian media reported.

Lookie thar! At Bushehr, you know, where they are doing nuclear enrichment.

Covert action by the U.S. or Israel? If just one place blew up I would say it was an accident; when multiple places explode that forms a pattern.

BLM Replaces British Statue with their Own

Timothy Birdnow

British BLM thugs tore down a statute to a philanthropist who made money from the slave trade to replace it with...a statue of a Black Lives Matter leader!

From the article:

An unauthorized statue of a Black Lives Matterprotesterhas been erected atop the base where a monument honoring British slave trader Edward Colston once stood.

The life-size resin and steel likeness of Jen Reid, who was photographed on June 7 standing on the empty base after demonstrators pulled down the Colston statue and dumped it in Bristol’s harbor, went up before dawn Wednesdaywithout approval from city officials.

"I think it’s amazing," Reid said. "It looks like it belongs there. It looks like it’s been there forever."

Just like the good Stalinists they are, they topple the statues of the past to replace them with their august selves.

So, my question is, has the BLM statue been removed? It should be publicly smashed.

The Mayor of Bristol says the old statue was fished out of the harbor but will be PUT IN A MUSEUM. The new statue will probably be taken down.

TAKEN DOWN, not destroyed. This will keep happening unless you make a show of destroying the replacement - and prosecuting the culprits.

The Western World has gone mad.

Wokening Science

This from Frank Lasee

The cancel culture bullies are at it again. A published peer reviewed prolific professor paid a price for suggesting that having the best well qualified people work in research fields is a good idea.

The Activists are now stalking the Hard Sciences

A word from Tim:

Frederick Nietzche believed that Western science and scholarship would eventually collapse because it would begin undermining it's own foundation. He argued that eventually science would question the basic assumptions that underpinned scientific inquiry; that the Universe is knowable, that it is subject to reason and logic, that it works the same way when tested, etc. We are at that stage now, with many people believing science is just a white man's capitalist plot. Relativism and superstition had infected the soft sciences decades ago and are now starting to filter into the hard sciences, the very citadel of rationality. We are replacing the light of reason with magical thinking and the superstitions of identity politics. It's frightening, because it will lead inevitably to a dark age.

The Path of Doom

Timothy Birdnow

We are set for a major depopulation in the coming decades, according to the BBC.

The elites of the world have always been Malthusian and the Club of Rome "Limits to Growth" and Ehrlich's "Population Bomb" were the Progressive Bibles that shaped the Baby Boom generation's thinking. Reducing fertility has been the goal of most international projects ever since. Whether they understand what that means - the serious decline of the West and a huge drop in standards of living - is another question.

Well, actually I think they DO understand it. They want it that way; it helps to keep people from seeking to take on the burden of more children.

From the article:

It has nothing to do with sperm counts or the usual things that come to mind when discussing fertility.

Instead it is being driven by more women in education and work, as well as greater access to contraception, leading to women choosing to have fewer children.

In many ways, falling fertility rates are a success story.

I would argue this is a simplistic answer; the emasculating of men (which is why we are seeing lower sperm counts), feminism (which makes men less willing to procreate with ball-busting broads), and other subtle reasons are at work here. But make no mistake, we are going to see a drop.

And the non-western world will colonize our countries. The next century will see more changes than at any time in human history - if we don't have a major war that destroys us. It could happen as nations like China aren't willing to wait for our demise.

We live in terrible times.

The article continues:

Japan's population is projected to fall from a peak of 128 million in 2017 to less than 53 million by the end of the century.

Italy is expected to see an equally dramatic population crash from 61 million to 28 million over the same timeframe.

They are two of 23 countries - which also include Spain, Portugal, Thailand and South Korea - expected to see their population more than halve.

"That is jaw-dropping," Prof Christopher Murray told me.

China, currently the most populous nation in the world, is expected to peak at 1.4 billion in four years time before nearly halving to 732 million by 2100. India will take its place.

The UK is predicted to peak at 75 million in 2063, and fall to 71 million by 2100.

Image copyright BBC Sport

However, this will be a truly global issue, with 183 out of 195 countries having a fertility rate below the replacement level.

So, who is going to pay the taxes to cover the national debts of these countries? Every modern nation works on a ponzi scheme; young people pay the bills. It was assumed that there would always be  more young people than old, and so they could be taxed to cover the costs. Not just for social security and other such programs, but to cover the debt itself. With fewer people we can't do it. We are going to see the collapse of the entire world order as a result  of this.

We are merrily skipping down the path of doom.

MY CORRECT ASSESSMENT OF COVID-19 – MID-MARCH, 2020 – THE DATA WAS THERE - HOW DID THE "EXPERTS” GET IT SO WRONG?

I examined a large amount of data on Covid-19 starting in late January 2020. Covid-19 had little or no effect on the majority younger healthier population, but was highly dangerous to the old and infirm. That was my confident conclusion by mid-March. I published that the full-lockdown was NOT necessary on 21-22Mar2020 and events have shown that to be correct. Only Sweden and a few others got it right – most blew their brains out.

[excerpt- posted 21Mar2020]

LET’S CONSIDER AN ALTERNATIVE APPROACH, SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION OF THE ABOVE CONCLUSIONS:
Isolate people over sixty-five and those with poor immune systems and return to business-as-usual for people under sixty-five.
This will allow "herd immunity” to develop much sooner and older people will thus be more protected AND THE ECONOMY WON’T CRASH.

[excerpt- posted 22Mar2020]

This full-lockdown scenario is especially hurting service sector businesses and their minimum-wage employees - young people are telling me they are "financially under the bus". The young are being destroyed to protect us over-65's. A far better solution is to get them back to work and let us oldies keep our distance, and get "herd immunity" established ASAP - in months not years. Then we will all be safe again.

New York State had 4 TIMES the Covid-19 death rate/population of the total USA, and almost 10 TIMES the death rate of California and Florida. The New York City area was even worse! https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

I published on 21March2020 that there was no justification for the full-Gulag lock-down, but an obvious need to over-protect the elderly and infirm. Covid-19 was dangerous to the elderly, but no more severe than recent seasonal flus to people in the workforce. Sweden did not do the full lockdown, and fared better than many states that did, such as England and New York. www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps

In contrast, New York State Governor Cuomo did the opposite and killed multitudes of New York’s high-risk population. Cuomo ordered a full lockdown of the workforce, but mandated that nursing homes must accept coronavirus patients even though older people are the most at-risk to die from COVID-19!

Cuomo ordered New York State nursing homes to take in 4,500 patients with Covid-19, according to the Associated Press. These patients infected other nursing home residents, resulting in many more deaths. Cuomo issued the order to nursing homes and other assisted living centers on March 25, 2020. He did not reverse that policy until May 11. How could anyone be that stupid for that long?

What really happened in many cities across North America was a disaster - hospitals were emptied of patients, elective surgeries were cancelled, and then the hospitals were near-empty for ~8 weeks awaiting the anticipated "tsunami of Covid-19 cases" that never arrived. Now there is a huge backlog of medical cases that will take many months to clear, and some patients will die awaiting treatment, and the economy is trashed, and low-income people are too, and small businesses are destroyed, and their employees are as well – the full-Gulag lockdown was an extreme over-reaction - a disaster!

I cant believe it, Chicago Mayor is mad only 40% of people are responding to the census and she brought up the bat signal, that I was sarcastically suggesting for NYC. So the Census Cowboy is the batman, but for the census,no hero for their real problems

Its like Babylon Bee satire is coming to fruition.

Yep - the Chinese KNEW!

A virologist who fled China to tell the world her story says the Chicoms knew all along about Wuflu and covered it up.

From the Fox article:

She had her passport and her purseand was about to leave all of her loved ones behind. If she was caught, she knew she could be thrown in jail -- or, worse, rendered one of the "disappeared."

Yan told Fox News in an exclusive interview that she believes theChinese governmentknew about thenovel coronavirus
well before it claimed it did. She says her supervisors, renowned as some of the top experts in the field, also ignored research she was doing at the onset of the pandemic that she believes could have saved lives.

She adds that they likely had an obligation to tell the world, given their status as a World Health Organization reference laboratory specializing in influenza viruses and pandemics, especially as the virus began spreading in the early days of 2020.

Yan, now in hiding, claimsthe government in the country where she was born is trying to shred her reputation and accuses government goons of choreographing a cyber-attack against her in hopes of keeping her quiet.

Yan believes her life is in danger. She fears she can never go back to her homeand lives with the hard truth that she’ll likely never see her friends or family there again.

Lincoln Project Russian Collusion

Warner Todd Huston

Now we find that one of the anti-Trmup "Lincoln Project" scammers is a registered agent for RUSSIA!

Cernovich on Twitter

A Slovo from Tim:

I've argued all along that Russia had every reason to support Hillary over Trump. Trump wanted to make America energy independent (thwarting Russia's plan to control energy flow to Europe), he wanted to rebuild our manufacturing sector, pull us out of the Middle East (where we were wasting time and resources), and make Europe do more to defend itself (a bad thing from Putin's perspective.) We also were fighting the terrorists who would otherwise be pestering Russia. Hillary supported that policy. Trump wanted to "Make America Great Again" which means less involvement in international organizations - exactly what Russia wanted, because it meant they had a say in American behavior. Trump wanted us out of the Paris Accord - something that hamstrung the U.S. And he wanted to end the Iran deal; Iran is a key strategic ally of Russias. The claim the Russians wanted Trump is ludicrous on the face of it.

More and more it looks like the "collusion" was AGAINST Trump.

Not Saving Souls but Heels

Timothy Birdnow

A Catholic Bishop in Indiana has removed a parish priest from his office for saying Black Lives Matter is the "real racists and purveyors of hate".

From Life Site News:

Catholic priest Father Theodore Rothrock of the Diocese of Lafayette, Indiana, has been suspended as parish priest of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana, following his condemnation of the Black Lives Matter and Antifa movements.

Despite the priest admitting that some of his phrasing was stated "rather poorly,” and "it was not my intention to offend anyone and I am sorry that my words have caused any hurt to anyone,” Bishop Timothy L. Doherty removed Rothrock from his parish and told the faithful, "if anyone asks you, you can tell them that this bishop says that Black lives matter.”

Rothrock had asked in his parish bulletin on June 28, "Who are the real racists and the purveyors of hate?”

"You shall know them by their works,” he proceeded. "The only lives that matter are their own and the only power they seek is their own. They are wolves in wolves clothing, masked thieves and bandits, seeking only to devour the life of the poor and profit from the fear of others. They are maggots and parasites at best, feeding off the isolation of addiction and broken families, and offering to replace any current frustration and anxiety with more misery and greater resentment.”

The priest emphasized that the message of peace is at the heart of the gospel "we carry in common with the Orthodox Churches and other Christians.” He encouraged Catholics to stand "in solidarity with our brethren across the world to oppose this malevolent force.”

He said, "Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and the other nefarious acolytes of their persuasion are not the friends or allies we have been led to believe. They are serpents in the garden, seeking only to uproot and replant a new species of human made in the likeness of men and not in the image of God.”

"Their poison is more toxic than any pandemic we have endured,” he added. "The father of lies has not just been seen in our streets, we have invited him into our home. Now he is prowling like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, strong in your faith.”

Rothrock referred to abolitionist Frederick Douglass and leader of the civil rights movement Martin Luther King, Jr., asking if they would have engaged in what rioters are currently doing across the United States.

"What would the great visionary leaders of the past be contributing to the discussion at this point in time?” he asked. "Would men like Fredrick Douglas [sic] and the Reverend King, both men of deep faith, be throwing bombs or even marching in the streets? Would they be pleased with the murder rates in our cities or the destruction of our families by the welfare system? Would they see a value in the obliteration of our history to re-write a future without the experience and struggles of the past? Would we tear down their monuments?”

So that is ground for suspension in the modern hipster Catholicism.

The Catholic Church used to be a bedrock of small c-conservative values. They defended orthodoxy. Now, even while these same BLM/Antifa thugs are burning Catholic churches and shrines these "woke" priests and bishops coddle and encourage them.

Darkness is falling on the whole world, largely because people like Bishop Doherty are more interesting in befriending the world than saving souls. They prefer the heel to the soul.

Sweden a Cornavirus Success

Timothy Birdnow

Sweden's death rate from Coronavirus has fallen almost to zero to the chagrine of the good media folks.

From Reuters:

Sweden’s daily tally of new COVID-19 cases fell to its lowest since late May on Tuesday, a sharp reversal from June when expanded testing fuelled record numbers in a country that drew global attention for its rejection of a lockdown.

Cases in the Nordic country have declined sharply over the past few days and on Tuesday only 283 new cases were recorded.

Much is made of Sweden's higher rates than other Nordic countries, while ignoring the fact Sweden has a much higher immigrant population AND has considerably more people in the geriatric generation and in nursing homes.

They admit:

Yet coronavirus deaths in Sweden have fallen dramatically in recent days, and are now approaching zero. Between June 30 and July 6, Sweden recorded fewer than five deaths per day on all days but one.

The decline in newly diagnosed cases has been even more dramatic. In late June, Sweden diagnosed more than 1,800 people per day as COVID-19 positive. Today, just two weeks later, only one-sixth of that number are testing positive on a daily basis.

On paper, Sweden suddenly looks like a stunning — albeit late-running — success. But experts are warning that their recent spell of good news does not mean the country's no-lockdown plan was successful, or that other countries should follow its path.

So, what has all this economic destruction and tyrannical medical slavery gotten us? Hmm?
