Galileo is famous in the rise of modern science, as the revolutionary who defied the Catholic Church and used his telescope to show Copernicus was right: the sun is at the center of our solar system and Earth goes around it. What few people realize, however, is that the infamous Medici family made it all possible – by financing Galileo’s research and protecting him against the Inquisition, which (as Dr. Jeffrey Foss puts it) "aimed to silence him and burn his books – along with his body, perhaps, just for good measure.â€
Jeff brings that story alive in this article – and relates the equally important saga of how a modern-day Copernican revolutionary is defying today’s manmade climate change Inquisitors, to demonstrate that the sun also controls Earth’s climate. Dr. Willie Soon continues to be demonized by alarmist climatologists for daring to challenge their Earth-centric claims. It’s a sorry reflection of today’s politicized scientific establishment – a situation that needs to be corrected if real science and modern civilization are to survive.

tMinneapolis Cop Convicted of Murdering Unarmed Woman, Which Is Racist Because He's Black and she was white.
From PJ Media:
In any dispute between a Muslim and a non-Muslim, the Muslim is the victim. Even if -- especially if -- he's just been convicted of murder.
Or, as the Somali-American Police Association put it:
Officer Noor joined the police force to make a difference and reflect the community he serves. And while historically it has not been uncommon for minority officers to receive differential treatment, it is discouraging to see this treatment persist in 2019. SAPA fears the outcome of this case will have a devastating effect on police morale and make the recruitment of minority officers all the more difficult.
Yes, murdering an unarmed woman does tend to have a negative effect on morale.
So, how are the rest of us supposed to react to this? A cop is going to jail for murdering an immigrant (Damond was Australian). That's good because, as we're reminded again and again, cops are bad. But the victim was white, and the cop is a black Muslim. That means it's racist to put him in jail when all the white cops who did the same thing have gotten away with it, except for the ones who didn't get away with it.
It means that the race of the killer and the victim aren't mentioned in the news coverage, as they would be if Noor was white and Damond was black:

The walls keep crumbling for Kim Gardner, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney (aka DA) funded by George Soros. Gardner, the woman who made it her personal crusade to bring down Missouri Governor Eric Greitens by using trumped up charges against the (rather pervy) ex-Democrat Governor (he ran as a Republican after having spent years as a Dem) has been under investigation for perjury, witness tampering, obstruction of justice, and a host of other crimes.
KPLR News has the story:
Soon after that, the computers were confiscated by agents.
This is all a part of the grand jury investigation of William Tisaby.
He’s the former FBI agent that Gardner hired to investigate now former Governor Eric Greitens.
Gardner belongs in jail for wanton abuse of power. She hired Tisby to keep the matter out of official hands, to avoid disclosure and the Sunshine law. She tampered with witnesses. In fact, she met with the primary witness (the woman who Greitens had an affair with( in a motel in Illinois, in violation of nearly every ethical standard, and she pressured her into filing charges against the Governor. She refused to answer questions, disobeyed Discovery laws, hid evidence, and ran the trial like a Soviet proceeding under Stalin.
It looks like the chickens are coming home to roost for the Black Lives Matter activist turned Circuit Attorney.
