The Third Jihad

Jack Kemp (not the politician) forwards this townhall piece:

Why Obama is losing The Third Jihad
by Kevin McCullough

As I pen these words not more than sixty miles north of where I sit, a radical Islamist breeding ground is churning out hate, weapons training, and radical Wahabi indoctrination. To date President Barack Obama's administration has done zero about it.

In fact as you spend today doing whatever pleases you, it is imperative for you to understand that that there are thirty additional compounds to this one that are spread throughout the nation in blue states like New York and red states like Virginia. And in each place the residents have been observed or overheard testing explosives, firing weapons, and engaged in the same type of activities as what those who have abandoned Islamberg have confessed to.

Cutting to the chase let it be plainly said, there are thirty-one bases of operation in which strongly questionable use of weapons and militant jihad are being taught and trained, here on U.S. soil. They are actively supplying clerics to serve in the prison chaplain systems across several states, and in many instances those who do are also actively recruiting new members for the future Islamic State of North America. Their stated goal on one of the chaplain's websites is for that state to be in existence by 2050.

Since the compound, known as Islamberg, has more than 200 residents, and since it took less than ten percent of that to kill over 3000 Americans on 9.11.2001, we would assume our nation's authorities would shut it down.

Of course the whole "shutting entire compounds down" thing is a bit tricky for this President. On the campaign trail he pledged to do as much for Gitmo, a base he now supposedly controls. Yet increasingly he appears to be leaning towards leaving it open for some time to come.

I guess it would also be of comfort for the administration to square with the American people that Islamberg is owned and operated by Sheikh Mubarik Ali Hasmi Shah Gilani a known terrorist who currently funds and owns all 31 of the camps known as "Al Fuqra." The Pakistani terror leader remains out of the nation, but regularly provides instructions for those who operate these bases as to how to combat the attempt by mere local law enforcement, to turn our laws on their ears, and to insure that they never gain legal access to the compounds.

Federal authorities have yet to address these compounds with any serious attention.

It is not surprising then that the makers of a new film "The Third Jihad" are so obsessed with letting Americans know what is happening, behind our backs, down the streets, and in the open rural areas we love. Enemies of America are seeking our destruction.

The compounds however present only part of the challenge. A much larger one has been unearthed by the FBI but little has yet been done to combat it.

Through a series of violent protests in Western Europe over things like the Allah cartoons, journalists, media outlets, and eventually whole government systems began to make compromises to the protestors. In each case free speech was allowed to have limitations placed upon it, and in some cases such as Great Britain justice in muslim neighborhoods is being wholesale exported to Sharia law systems.

In America while hundreds of thousands of muslims would argue they have no desire to see Sharia law become the way of American society, nearly 25% of those same muslims say they do believe that taking the life of the innocent is allowable to perform the will of Allah--their bastardized substitution for the God of the Bible. And honor killings are on a sharp increase amongst American muslim families.

"The Third Jihad" is an important film because the host of the documentary is an American muslim, and one of the extremely few who has had the courage to speak out against the violent radical elements in his faith community in America.

Every American needs to understand the patient persistence with which the Islamic State of North America is being built with. Every American needs to understand that the U.S. government is at this moment asleep to the concern of the problem that is festering here.

And with President Obama's plan to cut intelligence, defense, and national security spending we've a very real reason to be concerned.

This is especially true given the boldness with which others such as the tyrannical terrorists in Iran, and the crazed and extremely dangerous nuclear power of North Korea have dusted any concern with America aside while Obama is at the helm.

In my city just two weeks ago four men who had been recruited by elements of Sheikh Gilani's crew were caught attempting to place what they believed was a dangerous amount of C4 and a missile they wished to use to bring down an airliner, and blow up a prominent Jewish landmark.

The threat is real friends, "The Third Jihad" documents it all, and every American should view it and pass on their copy to their neighbor. (

Perhaps one could even make its way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, who just this week at a burger joint learned about a whole wing of intelligence operations that he had never heard of before.

Trust me, our enemies knew who they were, why didn't President Obama?

Bringing Matters to a Head; a Rousing Tale of Carbon Dioxide

Timothy Birdnow

We have all heard of the many harmful things that increasing levels of CO2 can bring-from acne to xenophobia and everything in between. (It`s making female spiders bigger, too!) What we never hear is the good that rising levels of CO2 may arouse.

This essay discusses matters that have come up.

Carbon Dioxide: a Cure for Male Impotence.

By Robert Chouinard

Two of the most profitable pharmaceutical drugs sold today are Sildenafil Citrate (Viagra) and Tadalafil (Cialis). Both drugs belong to a class of medications known as PDE-5 inhibitors, which are used to treat cases of male impotence (also known as erectile dysfunction). These drugs, which block the regulatory enzyme PDE-5, are both expensive and dangerous with many scary side effects and interactions with other drugs. There are better alternatives.

There are two factors that contribute to the inability to maintain an erection: the first is a reduced ability, due to poor nutrition and/or digestive problems, to produce the nitric oxide needed, for among other things, to dilate blood vessels supplying blood to the penis. This is accomplished in a fast, but risky, way by blocking the PDE-5 regulatory enzyme. However, a much cheaper and safer way to enhance nitric oxide production is to improve your diet and/or supplement with L-Arginine, a safe and inexpensive amino acid sold in health food stores and used by athletes for its many benefits. Note: this is a food supplement and, as such, should be used daily for best results and not just before performing, as directed for drugs. (Also, a note of interest: until the mid 90’s, nitric oxide was simply considered one of the pollutants in automobile exhaust fumes; since then it has been labeled marvel of the decade with many uses. Discovery of its functions and applications won the Nobel Prize for 3 scientists in 1998 for Advances in Physiology or Medicine. Maybe we should be more careful what we label as a pollutant.)

The second factor contributing to male impotence is a low arterial blood carbon dioxide level (another "pollutant"). Carbon dioxide is needed in the formation of nitric oxide from L-Arginine and, with a half life of only a few seconds, the nitric oxide level will quickly respond to changes in the carbon dioxide level. Carbon dioxide has long been credited with the ability to relax muscles but it is only recently understood that it does this through facilitating the formation of nitric oxide. Age and stress can be contributing factors to a low level of carbon dioxide. Both cause us to breathe faster than we should (hyperventilate) thus lowering our carbon dioxide level, which then results in a lower nitric oxide level.

Various methods have been used to restore proper carbon dioxide levels and, hopefully, reset unconscious breathing habits: a conscious slowing of our breathing as taught by various breathing methods (e.g. Buteyko method) as well as supplementing with medical gas for a few minutes can help. Other methods include breathing into a paper bag for a few minutes or using a breathing device such as the Samozdrav, a Russian prize winning device used to increase arterial blood carbon dioxide levels and to train people to breathe properly. People who use this device and learn to breathe properly, as a result, often report the improvement of many and varied symptoms.

Increasing nitric oxide levels with L-Arginine (5 grams daily) and, at the same time, raising arterial carbon dioxide levels, theoretically, should produce superior results to Viagra or Cialis alone. However, no drug company is ever going to do a double blind study based on this idea so don’t wait for one. Go ahead, give it a try. You have nothing to lose and the only side effects are beneficial ones. Who knows, you might improve your health AND your sex life, not to mention save a LOT of money if you presently use Viagra or Cialis.

For a better understanding, listen to this 20 minute lecture by a medical professional on the many benefits of maintaining proper carbon dioxide levels through proper breathing. While listening, just keep in mind that this lecturer hasn’t yet caught on to the indirect role of carbon dioxide in muscle relaxation rather than the implied direct role.

National Service Corps and Stormtrooper Service

Dana Mathewson

The top part of this had been sent to him by an e-correspondent of his, and he added the part that starts "I sent this out last fall-noting the above" and sent it back to her, with a copy to me. The "this week" is from what she sent -- none of us is sure of the actual time of passage of this disaster, frankly. I'm sure you've received e-mails that say "last week such-and-such happened" and it turns out the e-mail is three years old. I'm sure that someone who is adept at trolling government sites could determine the actual timeline.

Obama`s National Service Corps:

Perhaps you missed it, because it barely received a "blip" in the mainstream media, but this week Congress passed a massive expansion of government.

The National Service Corp, a pet of Obama from his "extensive" Community Organizer days, has now been adopted (with the support of John McCain, I might add) creating 250,000 government jobs and a $5.7B pricetag.

During his campaign, Obama says "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."

Imagine; a civilian agency "national security force" as strong and well funded as the Defense Dept.

"In Germany in 1926 Adolph Hitler created the "Hitler Youth" (Hitlerjugend). One of its sub-organizations was called the "Patrol Service" (Hitlerjugend-Streifendienst). It was the Hitler Youth's counterpart of the Gestapo. It was designed to be a type of internal police service that worked in the shadows to enforce the strict laws of the Third Reich. It ruled by fear, terror, and violence. Its members sought out any dissident or suspected traitor to the cause. Like the Gestapo, its members were everywhere and were the eyes and ears of top party members. Any suspected disloyalty or even anti-Nazi (or Hitler) jokes were reported."

"Patrol Service" members were capable of denouncing their own family and parents on occasion. Obama's "Civilian National Security Force", with their compulsory training of young people, strongly enforced by withholding educational services, was ominously foreshadowed by the Hitler Youth's "Patrol Service." Just as there was virtually no mention of compulsory youth program back in 1926, there is virtually no mention of Obama's compulsory youth training corps by the mainstream media. In fact, the speeches were not even available on YouTube, US LAW message board.

The sheer AUDACITY and breadth of Obama’s march towards Socialism/Marxism is simply breathtaking and beyond any scope imaginable just months ago.

I sent this out last fall-noting the above, you've got to admit Obie's sticking to his pre-election rhetoric whenever he can.

(Sure seems odd our President-elect would want to do this, what with our miliatry and national guard we have already in place.

This article comes from a Senator from
Georgia and he is very afraid of the same thing I was thinking when I heard Obama say this very thing last summer. People in the audience clapped but there must not have been too many because some just clapped half heartedly.)

End piece

I wrote about this a while back in "American Oprichnina"

It would be worth reviewing.

Obama Ambassador to the Holy See is an Liberation Theologist

Obama Ambassador to the Holy See is an Liberation Theologist

Jack Kemp (not the late politician)

This came to me from Yvonne Conde, a Cuban-American conservative journalist and author. We both agree that The Pope would best not accept the credentials of this Obama "ambassador" and send him packing.
For those that do not remember, Liberation Theology is the "mothership" of the left group Sendero Luminoso in Peru.

Washington D.C., May 28, 2009 / 01:35 am (CNA).- In a surprising move, President Barack Obama announced on Wednesday evening that Miguel H. Diaz, Ph.D., a 45 year old lay Liberation theologian born in Havana (Cuba) is his pick to become the United States Ambassador to the Holy See.

An associate professor of theology at St. John's University and the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota, Diaz, a strong Obama supporter and father of four, earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas University in Miami, Fla., and his master’s and doctorate in theology from the University of Notre Dame at Notre Dame, Ind.

Diaz is author of the book "On Being Human: U.S. Hispanic and Rahnerian Perspectives" (Orbis Books, 2001); Co-Editor of "From the Heart of Our People: Explorations in Catholic Systematic Theology" (Orbis Books, 1999 and author of numerous articles and book chapters inspired in the Latino and Black liberation theology, such as the forthcoming "The Life-Giving Reality of God from Black, Latin-American, and U.S. Hispanic Theological Perspectives, Otherness in Black Catholic and Latino/a Catholic Theologies and the Otherness of God," and "Outside the Survival of Community there is no Salvation, in Building Bridges, Doing Justice: Constructing a Latino/a Ecumenical Theology" (Orbis Press, 2009.)

Liberation theology is a school of theology within Christianity, particularly in the Roman Catholic Church. It emphasizes the Christian mission to bring justice to the poor and oppressed, particularly through political activism. Its theologians consider sin the root source of poverty, believing sin as exploitative capitalism and class war by the rich against the poor.

Liberation Theologians use political theory, primarily democratic socialism, to help understand how to combat poverty. Some elements of certain liberation theologies have been rejected by leaders of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church over the last 30 years.[1] At its inception, liberation theology was predominantly found in the Catholic Church after the Second Vatican Council. It is often cited as a form of Christian socialism, and it has enjoyed widespread influence in Latin America and among the Jesuits, although its influence diminished within Catholicism after liberation theologians were harshly admonished by Pope John Paul II (leading to the curtailing of its growth).

The current Pope, Benedict XVI, has long been known as an opponent of certain standards of liberation theology, and issued several condemnations of tendencies within it while head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

Bam-Bam`s Popo was Mau-Mau

Jack Kemp (not the politician)

That explains his anti-British sentiment. And it was Obama who disinvited the Queen of England to the Normandy annivarsary commemoration.

Here is some of the article, stating that "Again substantiating that Barack Obama has never known a normal person, his grandfather’s support for the Mau Mau was manifest enough to get Hussein arrested." (JACK's NOTE: This Hussein was Barack Obama's grandfather.)

by Joy Tiz

There is also no dispute that if Hussein was arrested for subversive activities, he was up to something more than just community organizing. He certainly would have been subject to some Enhanced Interrogation Techniques using more than a caterpillar or Neti pot.

The left wants to paint the Mau Mau as yet another misunderstood group of oppressed victims. The truth is; the Mau Maus were vicious guerilla fighters. Contrary to popular folklore, the Mau Mau slaughtered far more Kikuyu citizens than the whites they were supposedly rebelling against.

Mau Mau membership required taking an oath which was not exactly frat boy material. The colonial secretary, Oliver Lyttleton wrote:

"The Mau Mau oath is the most bestial, filthy and nauseating incantation which perverted minds can ever have brewed. I have never felt the forces of evil to be so near and as strong as in Mau Mau. As I wrote memoranda or instruction, I would suddenly see a shadow fall across the page-the horned shadow of the Devil himself."

Little information is available as to the specific language of individual oaths, but we know that the process was taken seriously and had more elements of magic than politics. Kikuyu were under tremendous pressure to take the oath and join the movement.

Counter insurgency expert, Major Frank Kitson describes a Mau Mau body snatching raid:

"The gang, frenzied by the thought of blood, slashed around with their simis (a Kikuyu sword) and fired their guns. One old man, slower than the rest, was caught and hamstrung. He fell at the feet of his pursuers, covering his face with his arms to protect it from the slicing swords, but a mouse in a mechanical mincing machine would have had a better chance of survival. One terrorist hacked off a foot, and another sliced off his testicles to use later in an Oathing ceremony. A third gouged out his eyes with a staple and put them in his pocket for the same purpose. When they had finished, most of the gang came by to cut and stab the twitching corpse. They then licked the blood off their simis and moved off into the night; having first set fire to all the huts they could see."

Other writers claim the oath was far more innocuous. However, a 322 page report by Career Colonial Administrator, Frank D. Cornfield supports the seamier version:

"By compelling Mau Mau members to violate not only Christian ethics but every tribal one as well, Mau Mau leaders deliberately reduced their victims to a state where a man who took the Mau Mau oath was cut off ‘from all hope, outside Mau Mau, in this world or the next. Cornfield found that to achieve this absolute loyalty to the movement, ‘ . . . leadership forced its recruits, voluntary or involuntary, to seal their oaths by digging up corpses and eating their putrefied flesh, copulating with sheep, dogs or adolescent girls, and by drinking the famed ‘Kaberichia cocktail’-a mixture of semen and menstrual blood."

They sound like earnest freedom fighters, right? Again substantiating that Barack Obama has never known a normal person, his grandfather’s support for the Mau Mau was manifest enough to get Hussein arrested. The struggle for independence from the Brits may have been a noble one, but not justification for the kind of depravity indulged by the Mau Mau. Longtime nationalist leader and Mau Mau manager Jomo Kenyatta studied economics in Moscow in 1932. We are not supposed to make too much of that.

Obama has a grudge against the Brits for their abuse of his grandfather, a subversive who supported a bunch of ferocious guerillas.

Queen Elizabeth is reported to be "fuming" at Obama’s most recent snub: the Queen was not invited to the commemorations of the 65th D-Day landings in Normandy. The 83 year old queen is the only living head of state who actually served in uniform during WWII. The event will be attended by Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

n Dreams, Barack Obama writes: "I talked to Jews who’d lost parents in the Holocaust and brothers in suicide bombings. I heard Palestinians talk of the indignity of checkpoints and reminisce about the land they had lost" (Pg 322). This is an astounding passage. Is Barack Obama suggesting that losing land you consider yours or being stopped at a checkpoint is akin to the slaughter of one’s family members by Nazis or suicide bombers?

And as always with Obama, rather than deal with his own inner demons, he uses his position of power to act out. Another campaign promise kept: Obama is most assuredly changing the world’s view of America. Perhaps Obama is saving up all the really cool gifts for Ahmedinejad.

(a quick note from Tim; Obama is also cousin to Raila Odinga, the man who attempted a coup against the legitimate Kenyan government and so it seems that Mr. Obama`s family is rife with terrorists and revolutionaries.)

Politically Motivated Chrysler Dealership Closings

Mary Grabar forwards this for our consideration:

From the Washington Examiner:

Furor grows over partisan car dealer closings
By: Mark Tapscott<>
Editorial Page Editor
05/27/09 3:37 PM EDT
Evidence appears to be mounting that the Obama administration has systematically targeted for closing Chrysler dealers who contributed to Repubicans. What started earlier this week as mainly a rumbling on the Right side of the Blogosphere has gathered some steam today with revelations that among the dealers being shut down are a GOP congressman and closing of competitors to a dealership chain partly owned by former Clinton White House chief of staff Mack McLarty.
The basic issue raised here is this: How do we account for the fact millions of dollars were contributed to GOP candidates by Chrysler who are being closed by the government, but only one has been found so far <> that is being closed that contributed to the Obama campaign in 2008?
Florida Rep. Vern Buchanan learned from a House colleague that his Venice, Florida, dealership is on the hit list<>. Buchanan also has a Nissan franchise paired with the Chrysler facility in Venice.
"It's an outrage. It's not about me. I'm going to be fine," said Buchanan, the dealership's majority owner. "You're talking over 100,000 jobs. We're supposed to be in the business of creating jobs, not killing jobs," Buchanan told News 10<>, a local Florida television station.
Buchanan, who succeeded former Rep. Katharine Harris in 2006, reportedly learned of his dealership's termination from Rep.Candace Miller, R-MI. Buchanan owns a total of 23 dealerships in Florida and North Carolina.
Also fueling the controversy is the fact the RLJ-McCarty-Landers <> chain of Arkansas and Missouri dealerships aren't being closed, but many of their local competitors are being eliminated. Go here <> for a detailed look at this situation. McClarty is the former Clinton senior aide. The "J" is Robert Johnson, founder of the Black Entertainment Television, a heavy Democratic contributor.
A lawyer representing a group of Chrysler dealers who are on the hit list deposed senior Chrysler executives and later told Reuters <> that he believes the closings have been forced on the company by the White House.
"It became clear to us that Chrysler does not see the wisdom of terminating 25 percent of its dealers. It really wasn't Chrysler's decision. They are under enormous pressure from the President's automotive task force," said attorney Leonard Bellavia.'s Josh Painter <> has a useful roundup of what has been found so far by a growing number of bloggers digging into what could be a very big story indeed. Also, see my column <> on this issue and how it fits into the larger context dubbed by the Examiner's Michael Barone as "gangster government."
As part of Chrysler's bankruptcy agreement with the White House, the company plans to close roughly a quarter of its 3,200 dealerships. Lists of the dealerships being cut and those retaining their Chrysler franchises can be found here<> in PDF format. Many dealers contend the criteria being used to determine which dealerships survive is not clear and that many of those that are being closed in fact are profitable businesses, despite the current recession.
UPDATE: Auto Prophet says wait just a minute
The Auto Prophet - an anonymous engineer working for one of the Detroit automakers - is skeptical<> of the suggestion that political considerations are playing a role in White House car czar decisions on which Chrysler dealers are to be shuttered.
A more likely explanation is simply the fact that more Chrysler dealers in general are likely to be Republican contributors, which would mean more of the closed dealers would be seen to be GOP supporters than Democrat supporters: "My hypothesis is that Chrysler dealers, being small businessmen, are more likely to donate to Republicans than Democrats, for predictable reasons. Like any small businessmen, car dealers want lower taxes, a lower minimum wage, fewer regulations, etc."
I have been reading The Auto Prophet for years and consider him to be among the most credible of bloggers on automotive issues. On this issue, I agree with him to the extent that a definitive, statistical analysis-driven conclusion is not possible until all contributions by all Chrysler dealers is completed.
But two points should be noted here. First, even if we accept the proposition that most car dealers are more likely to be Republican than Democratic donors, there would still be a "disparate impact" from closings on one class of dealers, compared to the other. When the federal courts see a disparate impact on racial groups, the policy or action in question is typically held to be inappropriate.
Race and car dealer closings, of course, aren't analogous. But the lesson remains that when government makes economic decisions that ought to be left to the private market, it is impossible to avoid disparate impacts. And there is always the question of would the Obama White House be so quick to close hundreds of dealerships if the owners of those dealerships were predominantly Democratic donors?
Second, since neither Chrysler, nor the White House have made public the criteria used to select dealers for elimination - and because a significant number of those being closed were profitable - the only way to resolve the inevitable controversy about political considerations in political decisions is to make the criteria public and allow independent outside observers to assess how those criteria were applied.
I'm not holding my breath on the likelihood of that happening any time soon.

Russian Astonished at America`s Slide in Communism

Seven Pound Dave forwards this piece from Pravda. Astonishing that it comes from what was a Bolshevik newspaper:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Leftist Ted Rall; Obama Should Resign!

Jack Kemp (not the late politician)

I will have to check for low flying pigs when I leave my home today.

Ted Rall has called on Obama to resign because of his advocacy of "pronged detention" whch any civil libertarian can easily spot as something that could extend beyond Guantanamo Bay prisoners to American citizens who don't agree with the regime by potentially being an Enemy of the State. Even Rachel Madow criticized Obama for this in this YouTube clip:
This is the same Ted Rall, the bitter leftist cartoonist who insulted Pres. Bush for 8 years and mocked the former NFL player Pat Tillman who joined the Army Rangers and died in Afghanistan. Of course, Rall did all he could to undermine a somewhat traditional values presidency and produce a social climate ripe for Obama to win in, but that is another story which Mr. Rall and myself will not dwell on today. You know Obama is in trouble when MIT grad uberliberal Ted Rall thinks he should go. Writing for the AP, here is his article below.

MIAMI — We expected broken promises. But the gap between the soaring expectations that accompanied Barack Obama’s inauguration and his wretched performance is the broadest such chasm in recent historical memory. This guy makes Bill Clinton look like a paragon of integrity and follow-through.

From health care to torture to the economy to war, Obama has reneged on pledges real and implied. So timid and so owned is he that he trembles in fear of offending, of all things, the government of Turkey. Obama has officially reneged on his campaign promise to acknowledge the Armenian genocide. When a president doesn’t have the nerve to annoy the Turks, why does he bother to show up for work in the morning?

Obama is useless. Worse than that, he’s dangerous. Which is why, if he has any patriotism left after the thousands of meetings he has sat through with corporate contributors, blood-sucking lobbyists and corrupt politicians, he ought to step down now — before he drags us further into the abyss.

I refer here to Obama’s plan for “preventive detentions.” If a cop or other government official thinks you might want to commit a crime someday, you could be held in “prolonged detention.” Reports in U.S. state-controlled media imply that Obama’s shocking new policy would only apply to Islamic terrorists (or, in this case, wannabe Islamic terrorists, and also kinda-sorta-maybe-thinking-about-terrorism dudes). As if that made it OK.

In practice, Obama wants to let government goons snatch you, me and anyone else they deem annoying off the street.

Preventive detention is the classic defining characteristic of a military dictatorship. Because dictatorial regimes rely on fear rather than consensus, their priority is self-preservation rather than improving their people’s lives. They worry obsessively over the one thing they can’t control, what George Orwell called “thoughtcrime” — contempt for rulers that might someday translate to direct action.

Locking up people who haven’t done anything wrong is worse than un-American and a violent attack on the most basic principles of Western jurisprudence. It is contrary to the most essential notion of human decency. That anyone has ever been subjected to “preventive detention” is an outrage. That the president of the United States, a man who won an election because he promised to elevate our moral and political discourse, would even entertain such a revolting idea offends the idea of civilization itself.

Obama is cute. He is charming. But there is something rotten inside him. Unlike the Republicans who backed George W. Bush, I won’t follow a terrible leader just because I voted for him. Obama has revealed himself. He is a monster, and he should remove himself from power.

“Prolonged detention,” reported The New York Times, would be inflicted upon “terrorism suspects who cannot be tried.”

“Cannot be tried.” Interesting choice of words.

Any “terrorism suspect” (can you be a suspect if you haven’t been charged with a crime?) can be tried. Anyone can be tried for anything. At this writing, a Somali child is sitting in a prison in New York, charged with piracy in the Indian Ocean, where the U.S. has no jurisdiction. Anyone can be tried.

What they mean, of course, is that the hundreds of men and boys languishing at Guantánamo and the thousands of “detainees” the Obama administration anticipates kidnapping in the future cannot be convicted. As in the old Soviet Union, putting enemies of the state on trial isn’t enough. The game has to be fixed. Conviction has to be a foregone conclusion.

Why is it, exactly, that some prisoners “cannot be tried”?

The Old Grey Lady explains why Obama wants this “entirely new chapter in American law” in a boring little sentence buried a couple of paragraphs past the jump and a couple of hundred words down page A16: “Yet another question is what to do with the most problematic group of Guantánamo detainees: those who pose a national security threat but cannot be prosecuted, either for lack of evidence or because evidence is tainted.”

In democracies with functioning legal systems, it is assumed that people against whom there is a “lack of evidence” are innocent. They walk free. In countries where the rule of law prevails, in places blessedly free of fearful leaders whose only concern is staying in power, “tainted evidence” is no evidence at all. If you can’t prove that a defendant committed a crime — an actual crime, not a thoughtcrime — in a fair trial, you release him and apologize to the judge and jury for wasting their time.

It is amazing and incredible, after eight years of Bush’s lawless behavior, to have to still have to explain these things. For that reason alone, Obama should resign.

Fraudulent Science

Physorg has a piece about deliberate fraud in scientific data. Below is an excerpt:

Physorg News, 29 May 2009

"It's a long-standing and crucial question that, as yet, remains unanswered: just how common is scientific misconduct? In the online, open-access journal PLoS ONE, Daniele Fanelli of the University of Edinburgh reports the first meta-analysis of surveys questioning scientists about their misbehaviours. The results suggest that altering or making up data is more frequent than previously estimated and might be particularly high in medical research.

Recent scandals like Hwang Woo-Suk's fake stem-cell lines or Jon Sudbø's made-up cancer trials have dramatically demonstrated that fraudulent research is very easy to publish, even in the most prestigious journals. The media and many scientists tend to explain away these cases as pathological deviations of a few "bad apples." Common sense and increasing evidence, however, suggest that these could be just the tip of the iceberg, because fraud and other more subtle forms of misconduct might be relatively frequent. The actual numbers, however, are a matter of great controversy."

End Excerpt

The dirty little secret is that science has always had this sort of behavior, and sometimes it is caught (Piltdown Man, Cold Fusion, Michael Mann`s "hockey stick"), and sometimes it isn`t. There is immense pressure on scientists to produce results, to publish, to seek glory, or just to get tenure. Scientists are human beings, after all, and sometimes they approach their field with preconceptions or biases. Politics certainly comes into play; consider eugenics in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century, or eugenics in Nazi Germany. Consider Hitler`s refusal to allow Einsteinian relativity to be used in the Nazi heavy water experiments. This whole thing accelerates when government becomes the primary funder of all things science, and the latter 20th and early 21st centuries have seen the enslavement of science by government funds. It should come as no surprise to find that many researchers cheat to get a leg up on the competition-and to get more from the public trough.

That is why we have witnessed such a politicization of science in recent years, and why a good deal of "science" is fraudulent. Michael Mann`s "hockey stick" climate graph is a classic example, but hardly the only one. Science seems to be becomming an arm of the political establishment-especially the Leftist establishment which, after all, controls academia and the press. What happened to Guillermo Gonzalez, say, for bucking the establishment viewpoint? Gonzalez was a well-regarded astronomer who was denied tenure at Iowa State University for appearing in a documentary arguing against Darwinism and the materialistic/atheistic viewpoint. A radical atheist at ISU launched a crusade against Gonzalez, and a frightened University buckled, denying the astronomer tenure; essentially firing him. Or Richard Sternberg who was forced out of the Smithsonian for allowing a paper on Intelligent Design to be published (if this is about science, then allow the paper to be seen, reviewed, and fall of it`s own weight rather than blacklist it). We have seen scientists call for revocations of meteorological certifications for not believing in Global Warming, for instance. We have watched James Hansen bluster and cry while the data coming from his Goddard Institute has been on a number of occasions erroneous in favor of his pet theory. We have seen the publication of books claiming that George Bush and "the Right" have been conducting "a war on science" which apparently entails challenging the pronunciations of "mainstream" scientists like Al Gore.

Strange. Science is whatever the party line says it is. Those who challenge junk science are often accused of being radical Christians, George Bush robots, or anti-rationalists. Those who accept ever word out of every "approved" scientists mouth is accepting the truth.

But science is about testing "accepted truth", about verifying and double-checking. The modern scientific community seems less than willing to challenge when a politically favored theory is being questioned-or where money is involved. Science has become a whoredom, filled with money seekers and scoundrels.

We should careful about what we accept these days.

Good News and Bad News for GM Retirees

Jack Kemp (the undead non politician)

GM retirees own around 25 percent of GM bonds and they are only gonna get 10 cents on the dollar. That leads to this sad joke below.
Union Official, talking to UAW member and GM retiree: I've got good news and bad news.
Retiree: Okay, what is it?
Union Official: The bad news is that your retirement GM bonds are worth almost nothing. The good news is that if you get caught stealing in order to buy groceries, your jail uniform will definitely have a union label.

Government Education-Just Plain Dysfunctional

Jack Kemp (not the late politician)

I could think of some universities as well.
Stop Bailing Out Government Schools
by Mary Theroux | May 26th, 2009

If the government can't teach reading and writing and 'rithmetic for $10,000 per year per student, why would anyone want them to have more?
Across the country, politicians are responding to the inability of a population devastated by government-induced recession to support governments' spending at levels they have grown accustomed to by threatening the closure of schools, firehouses, and other high-profile, highly-valued government "services." I have opined elsewhere on the reasons that such high-profile programs — rather than the thousands of highly-paid bureaucrats whose functions are absolutely inessential — are identified first for cutting as the means to cut spending. Suffice it to repeat that such extortion has worked before and politicians can only hope it will continue to allow them to line their pockets at the expense of people who actually earn their money.

Earlier this month California held a special election with various propositions on the ballot promising budget fixes "for the schools." Like every tax and borrowing provision before them, these tax increases won't fix the schools. In fact, despite widely disparate policy recommendations, virtually every non-government education researcher, from Stanford University to the Heritage Foundation, agrees that money is not the problem: in sum, government education is Just Plain Dysfunctional.

So why does the idea of a "public school" education, so clearly oxymoronic, remain such a sacred cow? Every argument used throughout history for the establishment of State-sponsored education has been rooted in ideology: the utopian ideal of creating the good citizen, from Francis Bacon:

And it is without all controversy that learning doth make the minds of men gentle, generous, malleable and pliant to government; whereas, ignorance makes them churlish, thwart, and mutinous.

To Karl Marx:

The communists have not invented the intervention of society in education; they do but seek to alter the characteristic of that intervention and to rescue education from the influence of the ruling class.

None, historically, was based in an actual or perceived lack of educational opportunities in the absence of government-provided schools. Yet today it is widely assumed that if the government didn't provide schools the poor wouldn't have any, and that government schools are bad because they don't have enough money.

In fact, government spending on K-12 public education in America is at an all-time high. The national average current expenditure per student is around $10,418. Real spending per student has increased by 23.5 percent over the past decade and by 49 percent over the past 20 years. Meanwhile, test scores and graduation rates have remained low and flat, and the gap between whites and non-whites has remained wide and essentially unchanged.

If the government can't teach reading and writing and 'rithmetic for $10,000 per year per student, why would anyone want them to have more? Isn't it time to just cut off government funding of education, eliminate the taxes supposedly collected for education altogether, and let the resources freed up be deployed far more effectively and creatively? Teachers and/or parents could privatize their schools (see "Can Teachers Own their Own Schools?"), and the market and private associations could and would otherwise create myriad alternatives just as phone companies freed from the Ma Bell monopoly have put a cell phone with functionality unimaginable 20 years ago into the hands of every 13-year-old in the country.

As Adam Smith knew, freed from a public school monopoly, people "would soon find better teachers for themselves than any the state could find for them."

Where`s the Birth Certificate?

Dana Matthewson

Media Find Eligibility Billboard campaign irresistible.

Well, in some places, anyhow, I guess. Here's the article.

We can only hope it bears fruit eventually.

Here is a brief excerpt:

"As Obama transforms this country from self-governing constitutional republic to one governed by a central ruling elite, the simple fact remains that no controlling legal authority has established that he is indeed a 'natural born citizen' as the Constitution requires," Farah said. "Obama's promises of transparency have become a bad joke as he continues to hide simple, innocuous documents like his birth certificate and his student records."

The idea behind the billboard campaign is to make sure Obama cannot avoid this question any longer. He must be asked to produce it at every turn, Farah says. Billboard space is currently being hunted in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York-New Jersey, DesMoines, Seattle and other metro areas.

Farah said another early target for the campaign would be billboards in Honolulu - allegedly Obama's birthplace. However, that city has very few billboards.

"Is it unusual for a news agency to launch such a campaign?" asks Farah. "Yes it is. But we live in very unusual times. The founding fathers built special protections into the First Amendment for the free press. The reason they did that is because they understood a vibrant 'Fourth Estate' was necessary as an independent watchdog on government. It is in that tradition that WND assumes this role - since nobody else in the press will do it."

Car Czar and Chrysler dealer terminations
Rosslyn Smith
We know that Caesar's wife is supposed to be above suspicion, but what about a Czar's wife, when it comes to terminating Chrysler's dealers?

From Instapundit:

UPDATE: A reader notes something about "car czar" Steven Rattner: "Rattner is married to Maureen White, the former National Finance Chair for the Democratic Party." The comment: "So one of the guys advising SecTreas on this thing is married to someone who used to be one of the people in charge of fundraising for the Democratic Party. This explains so much it’s scary." Well, it bears a close look.

La Raza-the Latin KKK

Jack Kemp (not the late politician)

Tom Tancredo and Rush Limbaugh are the only ones with the balls to tell it like it is.
May 28, 2009
Categories: Judiciary
Tancredo: La Raza is "Latino KKK"

Anti-illegal immigration crusader and former Colorado Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo was on CNN this afternoon whacking Sonia Sotomayor for her association with the National Council of La Raza, which was listed in a 2000 American Bar Association bio of the judge.

"If you belong to an organization called La Raza, in this case... which is from my point of of view any way... nothing more than a ... Latino KKK without the hoods or the nooses. If you belong to something like that in a way that's going to convince me and a lot of other people that it's got nothing to do with race. Even though the logo of La Raza is "All for the race. Nothing for the rest." What does that tell you?

CNN's Rick Sanchez seemed flabbergasted: "Alright. We're not talking about -- we're not talking about La Raza --"

La Raza is not well liked by conservatives for its stances on immigration -- and has been accused of Hispanic separatism over the years.

But it is also one of the nation's oldest mainstream Hispanic advocacy groups, with 300 neighborhood affiliates and corporate sponsorship that includes Citigroup.

And it has not been implicated in a 150-year history of lynchings, night rides, voter registration obstruction or enforcement -- at the barrel of a gun -- of Jim Crow segregation laws.

(A NOTE FROM TIM-notice the use of the term "whacking", an expression from organized crime meaning to murder an enemy. This is typical of the way mainstream media-and Politico is nothing if not mainstream media-make subtle inferences about those they disagree with while pretending to be objective. They are very good at this, and it is this art that manipulates public opinion. Oh, and La Raza means "the Race" so Tancredo`s point should be well taken. Isn`t the National Association for the Advancement of White People considered racist? Why? Racism is apparently a one way street.

Oh, and that last about La Raza "not been implicated in a 150-year history of lynchings, night rides, voter registration obstruction or enforcement -- at the barrel of a gun -- of Jim Crow segregation laws" ; I don`t know about lynchings, but night rides across the border and voter registration fraud have certainly been alleged, and it should be pointed out that the Klan did not make laws-only legislators-and according to Sotomayor judges-do that.

Oh, and while the Klan may not have had the backing of Citigroup, certainly Hitler and the Nazis had the early backing of powerful bankers and industrialists.)

GM Bondholders

Jack Kemp (not the late politician)
I just heard the hourly news on WABC AM Radio in New York. The liberal newsreader (I love that accurate British term) talked about a clash between GM and their "bondholders." Now what does the image one thinks of when the term "bondholder" is used with no further description? A man or woman at a country club ordering drinks from a black man in a waiter's starched uniform jacket. But many - over 20 percent - of the bondholders at GM are retired autoworkers whose annual income is being bludgeoned by the drop in GM bond value.
So when the liberal radio newsreader talks of bondholders, she is all but saying, in my opinion, that "us liberals don't have to be concerned about those evil bondholders we learned about in sociology class." Unlike the author of the Thursday American Thinker article on "The Labor/Corporate Pendulum," the newsreader has not left the cocoon of the newsroom to go out in the world and see who really is a GM bondholder of age 65 or 70. She already "knows" from the explanation given to her in school. In psychology they would call this not having done any reality testing. In old time journalism, they would have described these news readers as cub reporters who haven't yet been out on assignment to cover a real beat like night court or a car crash where they would see how real people interact, not the idealized version (both good and bad) stereotyped in a college textbook.

This from the Federalist Patriot:

"I think we can change people's behavior. ...We want to really ... [be] creating opportunities for what we call livable communities. ... It is a way to coerce people out of their cars. ... About everything we do around here is government intrusion in people's lives."

--Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood

That`s funny; I was under the impression that government was to reflect the will of the people, not people the will of the government. There is a word for that-tyranny.

Obama Motors: Unsafe at Any Speed

Jack Kemp (not the deceased politician)

The deification of a government that warantees your products, such as cars.
One of the revelations about government ownership happened in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. As workers walked down tens of flights of stairs, they were shocked to find that there were in total darkness, with no battery pack stairwell floodlights as one finds in the most ordinary of buildings in New York. The reason for this scandal was that the World Trade Center was built by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, a regional government entity which feared no tickets from the fire department, another government agency. Until the first World Trade Center bombing turned this lack of lighting into a scandal, this problem remained unsolved. This was a government controlled real estate venture policing itself.
A more recent example of what happens when the government owns an industry and its effect on consumer safety and rights was the loss of Lemon Law protection for Chrysler owners, agreed to by the bankruptcy court.,0,3217006.story
This week's news brings a further example of the parents of two paralyzed children being intimidated by General Motors attorneys.
Why should General Motors, no longer a private firm fearing government action, but now essentially a quasi-part of the government, be worried about legal problems? When the government took control of them because they were "too big to fail," they essentially were able to take this argument - and punishment protection - for granted as the new national policy. The Federal government, in essence, can't criticize General Motors the way it previously could because the bailout has changed the reality: the Federal government now IS General Motors. And it is tough to get the Justice Dept. to sue the Commerce or Treasury Dept.
Imagine a new Ralph Nader - or the original one - finding some safety problem with a GM or Chrysler car today. Any attack on a bailed out auto manufacturer, a central part of President Obama's statist control of industries policy, would be met with intense benign neglect, total disinterest and outright virulent opposition from the mainstream press. One wonders if even Ralph Nader himself could find a publisher for a new version of his 1960s bestseller, now with the modified title of "Unsafe at Any Speed: How Obama Motors (GM & Chrysler) risk your family's safety."
The American people don't exactly trust and love car salespeople, but when the Obama government takes over this or any other industry, they create a situation where a complaint against a government controlled industry and product is a complaint against the New Statist Messiah.
Many years ago, I worked as a temp at Forbes Magazine, helping to prepare their annual rankings issue of US corporations. As we poured over 10-K financial figures from the Disney Corporation, I joked that "Cinderella" and "Jiminy Cricket" wouldn't lie to us. It got a brief laugh from my coworkers, but now we have a situation where such attitudes of blind faith about a company are taken seriously by the press because Obama is perceived to be essentially running the company. A complaint against a state controlled industry is now seen as an attack on the man the mainstream media helped put in office, making a complainer a kind of American secular infidel. This is one consequence of state "partial" ownership that liberals did not foresee. The oceans may recede, as Obama foretold, but so has your Lemon Law protection. And the more industries the government "oversees closely" (nationalizes), the more revocation of Lemon Law protection for consumers - liberal and conservative alike - is the result.
