Devil's Advocate

Timothy Birdnow

A man is being charged with multiple crimes after beheading a statue to Satan in the Iowa State Capitol.

The man- Michael Cassidy- decided he could not stand idol-ly by (pun intended) while this mockery of a "holiday display" was honored via our tax dollars.

Now Satanism worships a demon, something that celebrates hatred and betrayal and evil. So the First Amendment forces us to celebrate hatred?

In fact, isn't this fellow simply following the tenants of the Church of Satan in letting his hatred free?

As Anton Zandor LaVey stated in The Satanic Bible:

"By learning to release your hatred towards those who deserve it, you cleanse yourself of these malignant emotions"

So it is fine for Devil worshipers to release their hatred but not someone who thinks they are bad cannot?

In point of fact we have never forbidden free speech or free religious associations but have always limited them - especially where that speech encourages evil behavior. "Fighting words" for instance, are recognized by the Supreme Court as a justification for acts exactly like what this gentleman did. If mocking Christians and Chrismas with a statute of Satan is not fighting words I don't know  what is.

LaVey also admonished:

"Why should I not hate mine enemies―if I "love" them does that not place me at their mercy?”

"Blessed are the destroyers of false hope, for they are the true Messiahs - Cursed are the god-adorers, for they shall be shorn sheep!”

"There is a beast in man that should be exercised, not exorcised.”

"If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.”

This one is especially pertinent to this discussion:

"There is nothing inherently sacred about moral codes. Like the wooden idols of long ago, they are the work of human hands, and what man has made, man can destroy!”

So how can Satanists claim they were wronged here? They PREACH wronging others.

I would further ask would this man be prosecuted if this were a Nazi swastika or a burning cross he cut down? Strange how those are matters of hatred and fair game but not the Devil.

If we are unable to differentiate between true religions and something evil that must be rejected then we are truly lost.

Stefanik Files Ethics Complaint Against Obama Judge

Timothy  Birdnow

FINALLY the GOP is starting to get it!

Rep. Elise Stefanik filed an ethics complaint against Obama judge Beryll Howell, who has overseen a number of the charges against Donald Trump over J6.
She also oversaw the Mueller probe, and the prosecution of Trump by Jack Smith as well as others.

Stefanik points to a speech where the ditzy partisan hack said electing Trump is the equivalent of electing Fascism. Highly inappropriate for someone overseeing legal matters involving Mr. Trump.

We need to stop pussyfooting around with these people. They are not judges but political operatives in robes. We must start treating them like that.

Four Years for FBI Framer, 700 for Frameee

Timothy Birdnow

Only four years?

Ex-FBI Agent Who Played Role in Trump Russia Hoax Jailed for 4 Years

Now Stewart Rhodes, head of Oathkeepers, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in the J6 self-guided Capitol tour. Enrique' Tarrio of the Proud Boys got 22 years. Joe Biggs of the Proud Boys got 17. 16 years for Zach Rehl of the Proud Boys. 14 years for Peter Schwarz. And yet what they did was not nearly as bad as trying to frame the duly elected President of the United States. All they did was at worst encourage unruly behavior and trespassing.

Charles McGonigal, on the other hand, was in a position of great trust and he used that position to attempt to frame the duly elected Presidnt. That is the REAL insurrection.

For that matter Mr. Trump is facing

For that matter Donald Trump, the victim of the Big Mc attack, is facing something along the lines of 700 years in prison. It can be credibly argued that this whole thing was put in motion by the FBI and McConigal's frame job. Trump was pushed to it, even if we assume (incorrectly) he was wrong.

So it's o.k. to attempt to steal the Presidency if you are an FBI thug and Democrat but not to try to find enough votes to win an election after being framed by said FBI thug.

We live in a nation with it's priorities seriously skewed.

The Lie of the Hockey Stick

This from Edward John Healey

The Mann-made hockey stick:
-- Used trees in 2 locations
--each in unusual environments
-- not worldwide data

But we are told, because of this total bs, that the mediaeval warming period Roman warming period, and the little ice age weren't "Global" therefore, didn't exist.

All this, despite the simple fact, there are thousands and thousands of studies that say clearly that the LIA MP in the RWP occurred all over the world.

The climate of hysterics desperately need to hide the LIA the RWP etc to justify the hysteria that somehow the temperatures we are experiencing now are unusual . A classic case of science. Happy to take the money.

These people couldn't lie straight, even in a bed

Tim adds:

The MWP and LIA certainly did exist. The Incans flourished during the MWP and declined under the LIA. Ditto the Mayans. In Illinois the great Mound Builder culture, the city of Cahokia, flourished during the MWP and grew to be larger than London in the year 900. It was abandoned right around the time of Columbus and that because the climate had changed and there were a series of crop failures that made it too hard to feed so large a city.

So we had it in Europe and in both Americas. It also clearly had a hand in Asia. We know the Mongols exploded out of Mongolia around 1200, the peak of the MWP, and that they pretty much collapsed by the 14th century - the beginnin of the Little Ice Age. it was no coincidence; an expansion of their food supply made them capable of bursting out of the Gobi, and the subsequent loss of that same food supply caused their empire to shrink back.

So, except for Australia, we have ample evidence the MWP and LIA were worldwide. Even Africa showed signs with the Sahara being an agricultural belt and then becoming pure desert.

Anyone who denies the Medieval Warming Period or the Little Ice Age is a liar or a fool.

Hispanic Caucus Opposes Biden's Border Plan

Timothy Birdnow

Hereis an interesting article on AOL about the border crisis and how Biden is going to compromise with Republicans.

FTA:

"The administration's increased engagement in talks in the Senate, and its openness to sweeping border changes, have been welcomed by Republican negotiators, who have described significant progress in the negotiations in the past two days. Senators are trying to find agreement on a roughly $100 billion emergency funding package that includes billions of dollars in foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

But the talks have also created rifts among Democrats, with progressives expressing concerns that Mr. Biden is prepared to give Republicans major concessions without getting any of the long-standing Democratic legislative priorities on immigration — such as granting legal status to so-called "Dreamers" and other undocumented immigrants.

"They have rejected their own party's solutions on border security and are now adopting Trump's," Andrea Flores, a former immigration official in the Biden White House, told CBS News. "The Administration should resist those pushing this bad policy and politics."'

No,Biden has done nothing of the sort. What he has done and is doing is offering the PROMISE of greater enforcement for a tangible benefit now - money for Ukraine.

If anyone believes for a moment Joe Biden will keep these promises I have some wonderful bridges for sale - cheap!

Biden REALLY wants this war in Ukraine, for reasons that are murky. But he also wants to be re-elected and the anger of the American People at this invasion requires a band-aid.

So the Senate will approve the aid in return for Biden issuing orders to restore Trump policies - only Biden will issue a stand-down order as part of "prosecutorial discretion". And no doubt he'll simply find ways around his own orders.

Nothing will change except the optics.

The article continues:

"The Senate negotiations have appeared to blindside Latino Democrats on Capitol Hill, a group that has grown in numbers in recent years, but still lacks lawmakers senior enough to oversee negotiations over appropriations, budget or homeland security matters. Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey has served in Congress the longest, but is persona non grata at the White House given the federal bribery charges he's facing.

He didn't hold back this week. "Not a single member, not one of the House or Senate Congressional Hispanic Caucus is at the table for these talks," he said Wednesday, adding later: "That is a hard slap in the face to all the Latino communities we represent.'

Sen. Alex Padilla, a Democrat of California, said returning to Trump-era immigration policy "isn't the fix. It'll make the problem worse. Mass detention. Gutting asylum system. Title 42 on steroids. It's unconscionable. That's not the way to fix the immigration system. We know it won't work."'

End excerpt.

So, the Hispanic Caucus doesn't like border security? Well, their constituents do.

Legal immigrants are angry about these line jumpers, as angry as are mainline Americans.

A CBS poll found 63% of Hispanics want greater border security.

Yet the Democrats' Hispanic Caucus, which claims to speak for Hispanic voters, wants to keep the border open. Why?

For the same reason they want to kill voter I.D. It's about power and nothing else.

So how will a return to Trump's policies "make things worse"? Things were fine when we employed them.

What makes things worse is encouraging these people to show up at our doorstep after a dangerous trek across thousands of miles, then shipping them all over the country where they are not wanted. That is how you make things worse.

Things can't GET any worse right now.

And we did not hire Joe Biden, nor Alex Padilla, nor Robert Menendez to represent aliens. They are American SENATORS, and their fealty is supposed to be to the Constitution of the United States and the American People. They are in violation of their oaths of office.

In the end this is about replacing the American Peole with a new America, one less stiff-knecked and independent, one that will let these people rule them. If Americans don't like it they can go somewhere else!

There has to come a reconning.

Empowering the Cartel

Lennis Waggoner

Now lets see if I understand this. Biden wants a wide open border. He is pushing an assault rifle ban for Americans at the same time.
These criminals are bringing in fully automatic weapons and explosives. Our rifles are all semiautomatic not even fully automatic. We have no grenades, home made or manufactured.
What is the next thing? All Americans must wear blind folds and handcuffs? Impeach this cartel tool and vote everything that even looks like a Democrat out of office!
Start a criminal investigation of Biden and Mayorkas.

Trump Prosecution Falling Apart

Timothy Birdnow

It's all coming apart for Jack Smith and his crusade to tamper with the 2024 elections.

https://dailycaller.com/2023/12/13/the-supreme-court-just-threw-a-wrench-into-jack-smiths-2024-plans/

If SCOTUS rules the law Smith is using to prosecute Trump is too broad it spells the end of not just Trump prosecution but also of the prosecutions of many of the J6 protesters.

But they aren't going to let this go. We need to do some serious digging into Mr. Smith and force him into his own trap. Ditto Fannie Willis. Ditto Letitia James.

San Francisco invites Illegals from Texas

Timothy Birdnow

Now that New York City is bursting at the seams with gate crashers, I think it's time to give them a break and send the illegals someplace else. I have the perfect candidate in mind.

San Francisco Puts out the Welcome Mat in El Paso

Yes, the Golden Gate has bought a billboard in El Paso inviting the invaders to come to their city.

I think Gov. Abbott should take them up on it.

New York ran their collective mouths about this until Abbott and DeSantis shipped the lot of them to the Big Apple. How long will Frisco be so welcoming when they are invaded by a million aliens?

If that's what they really want....

I suspect their tune will change. In fact I suspect Gavin Newsom will probably promote some action to retaliate against Texas for it.

Of  course that will put the lie to Newsom's  professed "tolerance" and will hurt him politically, something I would delight in seeing.

Christmas in Connecticut

Another one from the archives:

Christmas in Connecticut

Timothy Birdnow

I gazed to the east on a sad December morn a murderous blaze, a beast mad and torn
a nation abides the grim rod of torments
Where hides our God in this crypt of innocents?

Why hide Your face from our pain and distress? Where's Your embrace as they're lain now to rest? Are You just empty verse in an ancient dead book? why did you curse the names read at Sandy Hook?

I demanded an answer and silence it brought
despair like a cancer invaded my thought
agonized souls for those many all innocent dead young bodies in holes, lives lost as the bled

from where came so twisted and evil a beast
who earns the blame for his murderous feast?
and why did not You raise a finger to fell
the monster of Newtown, emmisary from Hell?

Awaiting an answer the silence it grew
debating my horror and questions anew
silence in Heaven and deafness of heart
lives now unleaven, souls torn horribly apart

But Christmas came once and it comes 'round again
a Savior was born to destroy all of Sin
and the answer lay there in a Bethlehem stable
I now was aware it was more than a fable

And His answer to me was as quiet as thunder
my eyes now could see, the dark clouds torn asunder for it is not He who had planted this crop
He begged and he pleaded for Man to just stop

But we all turned away in our sin and our pride
It was we who did slay, it was we who had died
Long ago we rejected His love for this cage
we had turned to our lusts and our murderous rage

He had tried so to warn us, to tell us the way
He had sent forth His prophets with the words He would say
But we put all those words on a high dusty shelf
so He decided to come here and say them Himself

He came not as a king or exalted of state
only shepherds to sing on this most wonderous date and the kings of the Earth looked to sharpen the knife
at the place of his birth they would seek out his life

Where the star hovered high over the town that made bread
Herod made mothers cry, many children were dead
oh the king he was sly, and the streets they ran red as he desperately tried to remove Jesus' head

And the Great King of Kings reminded me of all this and He told me of things, how he died from a kiss and he asked me if He who would give up His Son could be blamed for an evil that was done with a gun
He had come into life just to die so we live
and he suffered much strife for the gift he would give
He promised salvation to those who would choose
His Christmas incarnation, His wonderful news

But He cannot force Men to love or accept in the course of events

He joined in as we wept and He mourned as the priests read the names and the stanza His heart breaks there are beasts of the likes of Adam Lanza
But He came and He conquered that greatest of stings Death is no longer this world's king of kings
while all of the parents are lost in their sorrow Christmas means seeing their loved ones in Heaven tomorrow

And while there is pain and a horrible toll
grief no longer chains, we are freed in our soul
on Christmas He came and on Easter He rose
Now we do the same! There'll be an end to our woes
So be merry, rejoice in what Christmas does afford For the Sandy Hook children are now with the Lord and one day we'll all meet Him when He shall appear and that day we'll know sweetness and no longer have fear and that's all thanks to Christmas so be of good cheer!

Chrismas and the Cross

This is from the archives:

Christmas and the Cross

by Timothy Birdnow

A prisoner of his own fault
ensnared in vain and doomed default
Man walks this world in pain and loss
His only hope is Christmas and the Cross

I looked about in sore despair
A world so worn and full of care
winds unfurled; the sea is tossed
Yet all still flee from Chrismas and the Cross

How can it be if there be God
that Man should suffer from this iron rod?
I pray my plea to Heaven's gloss
A way must be to Chrismas and the Cross

my brain so full of this assault
my train of thought in much tumult
My bed disquiet, I pitch and toss
I can find no rest, no Christmas nor the Cross

But He endured though much to bear
and took the chore of judgement's chair
His birth the sages did emboss
the pages spoke of Chrismas and the Cross

for Christ did come and without halt
to save the sum with no exalt
and Man is freed from that dreadful cost
Yes, there truly is a Chrismas, and a Cross

Now free from my iniquity I soar with no real care
I now can see the Christmas tree, so beautiful and fair
A Savior born on this bright day, the veil torn across
salvation come on Christmas day, and finished with the Cross!
And finished with the Cross...

Green Bait and Switch

Beverly McCaul Goff

I don’t recall the voters being asked if they wanted to fund this "global green energy project” or congress allocating all of this money! I don’t think anyone in this supposed "democracy” agreeing to cut our energy "emissions” by 50% in the next 7-12 years! No one wants to "super charge” the dementia patients executive authority for anything! He’s increased the number of government employees by nearly a million people in the last 3 years! He’s added who knows how many new agencies and committing us to billions in spending on this green fascism! People need to wake up & speak up! China is still a "developing nation” (with the 2nd largest economy in the world” so they’re laughing at us while they pollute their air & water! Our standard of living is supposed to degrade by 50% so we aren’t so far ahead of developing countries & we’re supposed to fund their solar & wind development enriching China even more! We need these Marxists out of government now!

House Approves Impeachment Inquiry

I love that "lackof evidence". It's like saying there is a lack of evidence to support Newton's theory of gravity. They have smoking gun evidence that ties Biden directly to the payolla.

Also, I guess Reuters doesn't understand what an inquiry actually is; they seem to think there has to be proof before you can inquire about it.

Preparing the Public

Tara Taylor

The elites believe in a cult superstition that if they tell you what they’re going to do to you, the harm is on you for not taking heed. But if they don’t tell you then the harm is on them. That’s why there always seems to be a song or a Simpsons episode or a quarantine movie or a virus movie or a cyberattack movie (obamas new movie) or something that seems to have "predicted” an event. They ARE actually telling us what they plan to do so that no karma is on them.

Believe them.

Tim adds:

They call that "preparing the public".

Funny; I don't recall anything in the Constitution that says  elites have a right to try to manipulate the public one way or another. Not sure where they got the idea that they can browbeat us into accepting their august will.

The "Death Spiral"

Arctic Death Spiral Update. (Climate Change Bullshit)

Posted on December 14, 2023 by Tony Heller realclimatescie nce.com.

"Experts say" (and are almost always wrong, prognostication is not science). Notice how the focus has been off the Arctic meltdown for some time, and shifted on to some unremarkable short lived Antarctic melt?

Anyway.. the experts said:

"you are probably looking at ice-fee summers by 2030. I’d call that a death sprital.”

Mark Serreze June 6, 2009

"This week, after reviewing his own new data, NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally said: "At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions.”

"We see a tipping point occurring right before our eyes,” Hansen told the AP before the luncheon. "The Arctic is the first tipping point and it’s occurring exactly the way we said it would,”

And yet....

"There has been no trend in Arctic sea ice minimum, maximum or mean extent over the last 17 years."

May be an image of text that says 'OSI Arctic Sea Ice Extent Showing Annual Minimum, Maximum And Mean 10/20/2008 8/8/2010 26/2012 Sea VERAGE MAXIMUM Count Average 67099915030 3/15/2023'

The War in Front of Us

Dallas Stephens

Bubba always has to read slowly and take lots of time when he reads the latest messages from Brandon Smith with Personal Liberty. This one is no exception because it plays off of thoughts that Bubba's had for a long time, but with enough twists & nuances to make his brain short out. So, whether you believe any or all of this message, that's up to you, but at least you will have been forewarned in the event Brandon's feelings come to pass.

"When I first encountered the concept of 4th Generation Warfare around 20 years ago, I was studying the foundations of propaganda and how it works. While the core issue is deeply disturbing on many levels, I also found how governments and elitists have endeavored to control the masses despite the rising demand for "democracy" and personal liberty fascinating.

With the advent of armed and trained civilian populations and the global shock of the American Revolution's defeat of the greatest military apparatus on the planet at that time, elitist groups realized that controlling the public with military might was no longer a sure bet. They had to engage in a new kind of warfare using psychological attacks until they could weaken and disarm the populace and rule by the barrel of a gun once again.

A large part of this strategy involves using economic leverage for social engineering. A hundred years ago it was more about banks creating an endless series of debt mechanisms and controlling the issuance of currencies. Today, corporate elites are expanding. They are trying to influence public behavior by attaching a "social justice" ideology to lending through ESG. In other words, if you want to have access to credit and have the ability to compete in the new "inclusive" marketplace you will have to bow to the woke religion.

A greater factor, though, is the shift of the Overton Window by making cultural foundations into cultural villains.

Of Mice and Men

Timothy Birdnow

You know, I observed something very unique the other day. I pulled several glue traps out from under my over with dead mice on them. The mice would get stick and climb for cover and die there.

The interesting thing is these traps were covered with mouse hair. Just covered with it. Now why is that?

Two theories; first the mice knew they were dangerous and covered them to avoid accidentally getting stuck.

Second, and this is even more fascinating, could this have been akin to a burial ritual? They couldn't cart away their fallen comrads but could at least bury them under fur.

Either possibility presents the mice in a significantly sophisticated light. Either they had the brains to understand the dangers of the trap and take steps against them or they felt the need to perform a burial ritual.

It certainly isn't what one would expect from the hairy little love children.

We would assume mice aren't that bright, given their small size and rapid breeding and whatnot. And we certainly wouldn't expect them to actually care about their fellow mice.

But I've seen mice try to help each-other in the past, especially with the glue traps. Sometimes you will catch two on one trap because it's fellow comes to assist.

So mice are much more sophisticated than I used to believe.

I do hate killing them; they are just trying to live their lives. Theycome in out of the cold and hunt for something to eat, usually something I have already rejected. Yes, they will tear into food, and of course they poop everywhere and give off bad smells, but it's all out of necessity for them. They need to eat, and they have tiny digestive systems so they need to poop. And they have to chew on things to saw down their teeth, which will keep growing until they can no longer eat. That and they need a manicure so they chew on wires and other things. But it's not malicious.

Their problem is they don't understand boundaries. If I could communicate to them boundaries they could live, say, in the basement or the attic and I would even feed them. But the messes they make and the risks they pose in terms of diseases make it incumbent on me to whack them like Irish mobsters in the bootlegging business meeting up with Mafiosa.

It does make me sad sometimes. They will struggle to get free of the traps. They will cry. And the worst is when they lay there in despair. I really hate that. But once stuck on those traps I couldn't get them off if I tried, and I'm not going to risk trying and being bitten.

But I see much more to these little pests than meets the eye. Granted, I still hate them around and will do 'em in when I can. But I wish I didn't have to do so.
