Just thought I'd share a Christmas memory.
I remember the year of the Christmas squirrel.
My parents always had a real Christmas tree. My mother was particular about that; no fake, phony plastic monstrosity would do; she always insisted on a real tree.
So my dad and usually me would dutifully trot out every year to a tree lot and purchase the best tree that could be had for the very paltry sum my father was willing to pay. Often they would be acceptable if you kept the huge bald spot turned toward the wall and added a LOT of garland and ornaments.
And tree trimming time was always a nightmare. My dad hated it. He'd get out the tangled lights and ornaments and whatnot and grumble through the whole process. I remember one year he got the whole tree up and then the lights wouldn't light. He exploded and tossed some strand of twinkling strangler's cord, using language wholly inappropriate for so blessed and holy a season.
I noticed our cat batting at something on the bottom of the tree; a pull chain. I calmly said "well dad, you first have to turn the tree on" and pulled the chain. Voila! The cat had turned off Christmas.
(That cat was a menace. I was home alone once when in my early teens and the movie The Exorcist was on. I went to bed and awoke to my bed shaking and an unearthly moaning. I was out the door in less then a second, let me tell you! Turns out the cat had torn a hole in my box spring and climbed in - and gotten stuck. The shaking was her thrashing about, and the moan was her cries of pain muffled by the thickness of the mattress. Almost gave me a heart attack.)
At any rate, the year of the squirrel saw the Christmas tree sit outside for several days before being put up. Dad left it in the back yard because the house wasn't yet ready when he bought it.
So in came the tree and up it went. We decorated it and had it all ready.
My nephew Max was just a little squirt at the time and he was over. He noticed the tree was shaking and a noise coming from it. Out popped a squirrel! I suppose it had nested there; but it had been quiet as can be while we were putting the tree up.
What followed was a mad scramble as we tried to evict the squatter tenant from our Christmas tree and our home.
No luck. The squirrel, after leading us a merry chase, bolted out of the family room and into the sole bathroom. We locked it in.
And called animal control. They sent out a man who prepared to capture the poor frightened creature.
I was reminded of a Medieval knight preparing for battle; the animal control guy donned big thick gloves, vest, and goggles. He then told us solemnly "no matter what you hear do not open that door". It was reminiscent of Young Frankenstein, where Gene Wilder tells his staff to keep him locked up with the monster.
What followed was 20 minutes of thumping and crashing and angry sounds. I didn't know squirrels could be so ferocious! I think that little beast was half badger.
Eventually the man, now looking quite weary as though he had fought in a major military engagement, emerged with the squirrel in a trap.
The next year we gave my mother a special ornament for the tree - a squirrel.
My little nephew never forgot that Christmas. He's a man now but he still brings it up when we get together.
Anyway, a very Merry and Blessed Christmas to everyone! Don't let the squirrels eat your figgy pudding!
Postscript:
I once had a squirrel at the Ozark Hilton give me fits. For a couple of years I didn't have a roof on the cabin - just some tarps. One winters eve I was there in the pouring rain and the roof started leaking something terrible. A squirrel had torn a hole in the roof to get in and another to get into the cabin, and had nested between the two tarps. The rain was filling up the gap between the two and the whole thing was draining out into the cabin and onto my pointy littlle noggin. And even the squirrel's nest of leaves and twigs was soaking up water. I pushed a broom handle up to try to get the water to drain, and did what I could to buttress the spot. The squirrel came out into the cabin and was really cheesed. I remember it looking right at me and shaking it's fist with an angry growl, then going off into the night. If it had been a human it would have called me an M-F or whatnot. I spent a miserable night trying to stem the flood into the cabin. You can bet I made roofing that thing top priority after that! I imagine the squirrel didn't enjoy the night any more than I did, though.

Opening Statements in the Claus Trial:
Ladies and gentleman of the jury
a moment of your time
regards the case of old Kris Kringle
The kingpin of Christmas crime
The accused he goes by many names
Santa Claus or old St. Nick
But rest assured these are no games
This Kringle is quite sick
And now we'll have the charges read
a litany of crime
no worse a man was ever bred
This Santa is a slime
He lives outside our jurisdiction
on international land
he completely ignores our border restriction
and sneers at our commands
He doesn't have a green card or register his sleigh
we charge him with these crimes, oh jurors,
for starters on this day
But this is not the only evil of the rotten Mr. Claus
We have only just begun to give the litany of his flaws
On 25 December Mr. Kringle did and then
fly an unregistered vehicle into our airspace sans flight plan
Luck was with the Kringle as he should have been shot down
By F-15 Tomcat fighters as he slithered into town
And now we come to another charge
against the crooked Kris
and this one is just much too large
for anyone to miss
I submit to you and swear it's true
for your careful consideration
the charge of number four
there's more than meets enumeration
Kringle did upon this night, for everyone to see
let the record show for all to know
he trespassed on private property
And he stole Christmas cookies and he drank up their tea
he left a pile of refuse
then the criminal did flee
It's true, it's true
I say to you
we have the affidavits
testimony sworn
without reservation
by those who freely gave it
And how did he acquire all of the stuff the Claus he gave?
Word on the street is it was made by folks he had enslaved
He calls them elves and makes them work in his lair up at the pole
for endless hours of every day
no pay, not even coal!
And furthermore this Claus is known
to leer at children in the night
He likes 'em young, not grown, quite slight
I say this isn't right!
Yes good people of the jury
the charges we did file
we ask your rage and righteous fury
and convict this pedophile
And he smoke tobacco from a pipe
which is against the law
in public places he puffs away
it billows from his maw
But the charges are not yet done
against this foul and evil crook
a man so bad we all should shun
At this photo take a look
That photo is of Kringle
hard at work at Satan's task
You can see to your great horror
He does not wear a Covid mask
Yes the man is such a misanthrope
He goes from scene to scene
He never touches any soap
he spreads Covid Nineteen
He doesn't social distance; kids sit upon his knee
he never wears a mask when out
though they're cheap and often free
And as he is quite chubby
in fact morbidly obese
he flies around the country
despite our orders to decease
Never there was such a man
so villainous and vile
so crooked and insidious
so very out of style
This crime lord is quite evil
a man to make one shiver
that's why dear members of the jury
you should send him up the river
That concludes my opening statement.

It has been a long dark night
a seemingly endless frozen black blight
Nary a candle to break the dark gloom
all sight has been gone, as if buried in the tomb
Tomorrow the Son shall rise
the ice will melt to our delight and surprise
a star will guide us from out of the east
to fill our bellies at the glorious feast
make glad your feet and now arise!
For far too long we've not arisen
trapped were we in our cold dark prison
nowhere to run, nowhere to flee
but soon He comes to set us free
Not the warrior that we believed
would our hard sentence grant us reprieve
but instead a child, be not deceived
the terrible king will be very aggrieved!
In a cold smelly stable amid the creatures lain there
He will come to His kingdom and our bitterness share
the King of King wrapped in swaddling hair
as the angels herald in their joyous prayer
King of Kings! Lord of Lords! He brings to you salvation's swords!
The rich and the strong do not bother along
but the shepherds and vagrants join with the angels in song
The night is Fallen, it is now nearly gone
as the trumpeters cry at the kiss of the dawn
It has been a long dark night
full of pain and of fright
but the Son He has risen
in His glory and might
Rejoice all you children and dance you old men
pour out the wine and feast on your hen
For this is the end of the reign of the Dead
Now to salvation we are gloriously wed.
The veil is parted, the black curtain torn
the power of Death and of Hell have been shorn
the light of the world comes to us Christmas morn.
it's not about presents or the giving of things
but of the murder of Death that our glad hearts must sing
We were lost and He found us
and came as a child
to save this old world that we had sorely defiled
we did not deserve it, for we're all just ingrates
But he lived among us so as to open the Gates
Remember this well on this fine Christmas Eve
put away all your sadness and no more should you grieve
For God is among us and closes the gap
the route to His Heaven he has provided a map
Merry Christmas my friends, to the one and the all
and remember He came to us tiny and small
but that babe in the manger has ended our fall.

Eye-Opening Insight: Reduced Testosterone Linked to Left-Wing Political Views.
In a fascinating study, when weakly affiliated Democrats received additional testosterone, the strength of their party fell by 12% and they reported a whopping 45% warmer feelings towards Republican candidates for president.
Before the testosterone treatment, they found that weakly affiliated Democrats had 19% higher basal testosterone than those who identified strongly with the party.
Now you know why they’re doing everything they can to lower it.

Famous atheist astronomer, Fred Hoyle who never converted to Christianity, yet still rejected Darwinism and abiogenesis (which is the first logical step necessary for "evolution") because of the impossible astronomical odds against such hypothetical notions.
Quote: "If one proceeds directly and straightforwardly in this matter, without being deflected by a fear of incurring the wrath of scientific opinion, one arrives at the conclusion that biomaterials with their amazing measure of order must be the outcome of intelligent design. No other possibility I have been able to think of..."
~ Fred Hoyle
'"The likelihood of the formation of life from inanimate matter is 1 to a number with 40,000 noughts after it (1040,000).... It is big enough to bury Darwin and the whole theory of evolution. There was no primeval soup, neither on this planet nor any other, and if the beginnings of life were not random, they must therefore have been the product of purposeful intelligence." ~FRED HOYLE'
Tim adds:
Yep. Hoyle created the Steady State theory to get around the problem of a lack of time for life to evolve. But that just kicked the can down the road, so he then postulated life evolving elsewhere and winding up here.
At some point the "elephants all the way down" view just falls apart. Hoyle never could get his theories to match reality. If the universe were eternal then it should long ago have died of heat death.

The most intelligent and reasonable way to think about the meaning of AI. It doesn't mean that specially designed evil programs using AI techniques are not a problem to be concerned about.
Quote: "Despite hopes and fears to the contrary, there is no reason to think that true artificial intelligence is possible, let alone actual."
H/T: Jonathan Mod Cauthorn
Is artificial intelligence (AI) biblically possible? | GotQuestions.org
gotquestions.org
Tim adds:
I agree. AI in a real sense would make man a god, something we cannot be. We will NOT ever create a truly self-aware computer system, in my opinion. We can create a filing system that might mimic intelligence and is much faster than our brains but in the end it will still be a filing system. That we are trying to create such a thing goes back to ancient beliefs; it's much like the Israelites building the golden calf. In the end it may bring down judgment upon us.

As dean, Harvard’s disgraceful president had a hand in sinking star economist Professor Roland Fryer’s career for the crime of statistically proving that police around the country do not target black men disproportionately.
Himself black, tenured Professor Fryer was coincidentally and suspiciously accused of sexual harassment by a grad student. Other female grad students came to his defense and others did not for fear of repercussions.
I saw a documentary on Fryer and then did my own research. He has a very compelling story, reaching the pinnacle of academia from incredibly modest upbringing to him being sidelined due to his counter-narrative conclusion.
Claudine Gay is a second or third rate academic and should be fired for violating Harvard’s code of conduct: plagiarism and racism. She’s an intellectual lightweight lacking integrity.

Tim adds:
His being black gave them a problem. They could have easily taken down a white prof but this required a more blunt and indirect approach. The people running academia are neo-Nazis even if they don't hold to Nazi race theory.
BTW Harvard has long had a plagiarism problem. I wrote about it in 2012.

#ChinaJoe administration has launched eight current investigations into Elon Musk and his businesses. If you think this is all coincidental, you're probably smoking something illegal.
Quote: "The viciousness of the investigations being conducted by the Department of Justice, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service against a successful American business leader is unprecedented. It says much more about the vindictive nature of Joe Biden than it does about the founder of Tesla, SpaceX and the Boring Company."

So last night I was watching the Three Stooges on Me TV and then this morning the topic of the Three Stooges cartoons came up. I said "women hate the Three Stooges" and my wife disagreed. She knew quite a few women who loved them.
I didn't know any. And I suspect there are reasons for that that go back to fundamental biological differences.
I looked for a poll that gave me numbers; how many men compared to women love the Stooges? But none could be found.
There is a lot of opinion out there but in the end it's just what people think.
At any rate, there was a study at Stanford years ago about male v. Female humor. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4413790.stm In particular they had men and women watch cartoons and give their views afterwards.
Women are far more particular and less likely to find them funny, and they go into the viewing not expecting to be tickled. The men always go into it expecting to laugh.
From the study:
They found areas of the brain involved in language processing, memory and generating reward feelings were more likely to be activated in women.
[...]
The latest study used sophisticated scans to monitor the brains of 10 men and 10 women as they watched 70 black-and-white cartoons.
The researchers found similarities between the way that male and female brains respond to humor.
But some brain regions were activated more in women, including both the left prefrontal cortex and the mesolimbic reward center.
The researchers say their findings suggest women place a greater emphasis on the language of humor, possibly employing a more analytical approach.
They also believe that the women in the study were less likely to expect the cartoons to be funny - so when they were, their pleasure center lit up with greater intensity than their male counterparts.
End excerpts. (excerpts edited for American spelling)
So the response to the Stooges is likely biological in nature.
I propose a test; make a trans person watch the Stooges and then see if he/she/xi laughs. If so it's a man. If not a woman.
Anyway, I knew a fellow from Eritrea and he loved the Stooges. Just loved them. He took videos of the Stooges back to Eritrea with him and he said the whole village was in an uproar with delight. well, the men were anyway.
(I so wish I could see them for the first time again; they were the funniest thing ever. Sadly we are just bored with them now.)
I suspect women don't care for eye poking or other acts of violence by the Stooges. Women are evolved to take care of people, especially children, and what men find funny - someone getting hurt - is probably less so to most women. Not all, surely, but most.
I know women are less likely to enjoy violent sports. Not that many female boxing fans until recently. Women are getting into such sports now, but then one wonders about hormone levels in women these days. Men have much less testosterone than did the older generations, and it is unclear why, but one must suspect it's part of the rising socialism and homosexuality and transgenderism we see today. I would suspect women have more testosterone at this point. So perhaps the Stooges will wind up pleasing everyone.
I could find nothing on changing hormone levels in women over the last hundred years, but then it's probably hard to evaluate as women go through menopause and this probably makes it much harder to study.
At any rate, changing reactions to the Three Stooges would probably be a good barometer on the hormonal health of our society.
So why are the Three Stooges funny? We always laugh at stupidity, and the Stooges are most assuredly that. If we can laugh at the folly and pain of caricatures we can salve our own wounds. Men are far more likely to believe they must endure pains, women want to nurse and heal. Therein lies the great divide, methinks.
And you'd better not disagree or I'll tear your tonsils out!

Email from Harvard Jewish Alumni group: "We have heard from multiple sources at the University that it is the official, undisclosed policy of the school to drive down Jewish admissions to 1-2% of the student body, proportionately
Tim adds:
I guess Harvard hasn't changed much. They
had their ties to the Nazis back in the '30's and seem to be eager to renew them.
FTA:
The Harvard University administration during the 1930s, led by President James Conant, ignored numerous opportunities to take a principled stand against the Hitler regime and the antisemitic outrages it perpetrated, and contributed to Nazi Germany’s efforts to improve its image in the West. The administration’s lack of concern about Nazi antisemitism was shared by many influential Harvard alumni and students. A faculty panel that supervised a mock trial of Hitler in 1934 ruled that Hitler’s anti-Jewish actions were "irrelevant” to the debate. Nazi leaders were warmly welcomed to the Harvard campus and invited to prestigious social events, as the Harvard administration strove to build friendly relations with thoroughly Nazified universities in Germany. By doing so, Harvard’s administration and many of its student leaders offered important encouragement to the Hitler regime as it intensified its persecution of the Jews and strengthened its armed forces.
President Conant’s insistence on treating Nazi academics as part of the "learned world,” and his reluctance to offer faculty positions to prominent Jewish refugee scholars, was shaped in part by his own antisemitic prejudices. When the DuPont corporation sought his advice about hiring a German Jewish scientist who had fled the Nazis, Conant urged it not to employ him, noting that he was "very definitely of the Jewish type–very heavy.” The scientist they rejected, Max Bergmann, was described by the New York Times as "one of the leading organic chemists in the world.”
Prominent Harvard alumni, student leaders, and some faculty assumed a major role in the friendly welcome accorded the Nazi warship Karlsruhe when it visited Boston in 1934, flying the swastika flag. Boston’s Jewish community protested vociferously. President Conant remained silent. Officers and crewmen from the warship were entertained at Harvard, and professors attended a gala reception in Boston where the warship’s captain enthusiastically praised Hitler.
So is Harvard's new antisemitism really a surprise? Theyare just reverting to type.I wonder what prominent Jewish graduates think of this?
As of 2018 the student population at Harvard was roughly 25% Jewish and nearly 24% Asian. Why is that a bad thing? It shows that the Jews are doing something right (the Asians as well but many of them no doubt are exchange students from China.)
Instead of saying they will be a good influence on the others who come, Harvard is saying they need more other students because Jews are overrepresented. But how is any sort of multiculturalism to work if there is no base to enculturate?
The reality is they are bowing to the pressure of the radical, Jew-hating, Muslim-loving students they have indoctrinated.
All of the worst, most horrible movements in the last couple hundred years began in universities just like Harvard. They are the citadels of Satan.

Failure in ignoring history in the home and the education system.
"Given the widespread misconception that equates Jews with "oppressors,” a whopping 51% of the young respondents reportedly believe that the long-term solution to the Middle East conflict is "Israel to be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians."
Poll: Majority of young Americans believe Jews are 'oppressors,' half of respondents question Israel’s existence amid Hamas war
allisrael.com
2p from Tim:
Jews were always there; they never completely left the region. And most "Palestinians" came after the Turks handed the region over to Britain. The "Palestinians" are at least as much colonizers as are the Jews who came form Europe.
Also, many of the Christians who lived in the region have been driven out by....drumroll please...the Palestinians. Ramallah was primarily a Christian city before the middle of the 20th century, for instance.
So if these dimwitted people think the Jews are "colonialists" then so too are the Palestinians.

Famous atheists’ last words:
1. CAESAR BORGIA—Italian nobleman, politician, and cardinal: "While I lived, I provided for everything but death; now I must die and am unprepared to die."
2. THOMAS HOBBS—Political
3. THOMAS PAYNE—The leading atheistic writer in American colonies:
"Stay with me, for God's sake; I cannot bear to be left alone, O Lord,
help me! O God, what have I done to suffer so much? What will become of
me hereafter? I would give worlds if I had them, that The Age of Reason
had never been published.
O Lord, help me! Christ, help me! No,
don't leave; stay with me! Send even a child to stay with me; for I am
on the edge of hell here alone. If ever the Devil had an agent, I have
been that one."
4. SIR THOMAS SCOTT—Chancello
5. VOLTAIRE—famous
6. ROBERT INGERSOLL—Ameri
7. DAVID HUME—Atheist philosopher famous for his philosophy of empiricism and skepticism of religion: He cried loudly on his death bed "I am in flames!" It is said his desperation was a horrible scene.
8. NAPOLEON BONAPARTE—Frenc
9. SIR FRANCIS NEWPORT—Head of an English Atheist club, to those gathered around his deathbed: "You need not tell me there is no God, for I know there is one, and that I am in his presence! You need not tell me there is no hell. I feel myself already slipping. Wretches, cease your idle talk about there being hope for me! I know I am lost forever! Oh, that fire! Oh, the insufferable pangs of hell! Oh, that I could lie for a thousand years upon the fire that is never quenched, to purchase the favor of God and be united to Him again. But it is a fruitless wish. Millions and millions of years will bring me no nearer the end of my torments than one poor hour. Oh, eternity, eternity forever and forever! Oh, the insufferable pangs of Hell!”
10. CHARLES IX—The French king. Urged on by his mother, he gave the order for the massacre of the French Huguenots, in which 15,000 souls were slaughtered in Paris alone and 100,000 in other sections of France, for no other reason than that they loved Christ. The guilty king suffered miserably for years after that event. He finally died, bathed in blood bursting from his veins. To his physicians, he said in his last hours: "Asleep or awake, I see the mangled forms of the Huguenots passing before me. They drop with blood. They point at their open wounds. Oh! That I had spared at least the little infants at the bosom! What blood! I know not where I am. How will all this end? What shall I do? I am lost forever! I know it. Oh, I have done wrong."
11. DAVID STRAUSS—Leading
12. JOSEF STALIN—Soviet Georgian revolutionary and politician. In a Newsweek interview with Svetlana Stalin, the daughter of Josef Stalin, she told of her father's death: "My father died a difficult and terrible death. . .God grants an easy death only to the just. At what seemed the very last moment, he suddenly opened his eyes and cast a glance over everyone in the room. It was a terrible glance, insane or perhaps angry. His left hand was raised, as though he were pointing to something above and bringing down a curse on us all. The gesture was full of menace. . .the next moment he was dead."
13. ANTON LAVEY—Author of the Satanic Bible and high priest of the religion dedicated to the worship of Satan. One of his famous quotes was: "There is a beast in man that needs to be exercised, not exorcised”. His dying words were: "Oh my, oh my, what have I done, there is something very wrong. . . there is something very wrong.”
14. GANDHI—At his death, he said, "For the first time in 50 years, I find myself in the slough of despond. All about me is darkness...I am praying for light.”
BELOVED, compare these last words from atheists, with these last words, from these saints of God:
THE APOSTLE PAUL: "O death, where is thy sting?”
KING DAVID: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no Evil.”
AUGUSTUS MONTAGUE TOPLADY (1710-1778): Toplady will ever be famous as the author of one of the most evangelical hymns of the eighteenth century, "Rock of Ages," which was first published in 1776.
During the final illness, Toplady was greatly supported by the consolations of the gospel: "The consolations of God, to so unworthy a wretch, are so abundant that he leaves me nothing to pray for but their continuance."
Near his last, awaking from a sleep, he said: "Oh, what delights! Who can fathom the joy of the third heaven? The sky is clear, there is no cloud; come, Lord Jesus, come quickly!" He died saying: "No mortal man can live after the glories which God has manifested to my soul."
Lastly, JESUS CHRIST said: "I am the
resurrection and the life. He that believeth on Me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live.”
Only fools never learn from history, and
it's amazing that even in our days, with all these facts at our
fingertips, someone with a mind can devote his entire life to a
delusion, and want everyone to know that there is no God. No wonder the
Bible says, "Only fools say in their hearts, there is no God." (Psalm
14:1)
As a nurse the vast majority of deaths i witnessed were peaceful,
either nothing happened (just a calm silent passing) or patients
recounted seeing relatives.
However two patient deaths were bone chilling.
I hate to sound like a Bible Thumper but I feel the need to share this
with my friends. I want the best for you and you can trust me.

People don't understand that CO2 is one of the reasons why the asserted radiative equilibrium temperature of Earth is claimed to be ~ 255K , about 23K below the ~ 278.6K graybody temp in our orbit . CO2's absorptivity=emissivity bands cool , not warn the planet .
The hypothesis is that more CO2 raises the altitude at which it is finally sparse enough to radiate to space w/o jut bumping in to another CO2 molecule . Due to the gravitational >< kinetic adiabatic temperature gradient , it's cooler higher so radiates less , cooling the planet less . more...

Update: to get around title whatever educational requirements when students get government aid, Musk will offer scholarships.
Elon Musk to found and fund university that will admit students solely on merit.
"I don’t consider going to college evidence of exceptional ability,” he added. Musk has also blamed "Neo-Marxists” in academia for his estrangement from his 18-year-old daughter, Vivian. Tim adds:
"I don’t consider going to college evidence of exceptional ability,” Nail meet hammer head! They began pushing this idea of universal college decades ago and to aid in this they promoted grade inlation and easy acceptance. But it didn't start at college; it started with public schooling which dumbed down the education of kids to a point where a college degree became the equivalent of a high school diploma and everyone thought they needed a degree to avoid being some sort of loser. Of course the Leftists had by then taken control of the chairs of most departments in most colleges and so turned them into factories turning out radicals. Outside of just a few disciplines (like engineering or medicine, I suppose) a college degree is in fact a disqualification for most employment or should be. You are going to get a better quality of employee with a guy who quit school to help finance his family. He doesn't feel entitled.

> An illegal immigrant picks up a hooker.
> "Hey, how much you charge for da hour, sister?" he asks.
> "$100" she replies.
> In broken English, he says, "Do you do immigrant style?"
> "No" she says.
> "I pay you $200 to do immigrant style."
> "No," she says, not knowing what immigrant style is.
> "I pay you $300."
> "No," she says.
> "I pay you $400."
> "No," she says.
> So finally he says, "OK, I pay $1,000 to do immigrant style".
> She thinks, "Well, I've been in the game for over 10 years now. I've had every kind of request from weirdos from every part of the world. How bad could immigrant style be?" So she agrees and has sex with him.
> Finally, after several hours, they finish.
> Exhausted, the hooker turns to him and says, "Hey, I was expecting something perverted and disgusting. But that was ok. So, what exactly is immigrant style?"
> The illegal immigrant replies, "You send bill to Government."

Portugal is one of the poorest country in the European Union. It is so poor that refugees from Syria and other places refuse to go there. I suppose if you have limited energy needs (and wealth is a function of energy) you can get away with it but I hardly think it worth it. Supplying energy to people who can't afford to use it is no great trick.
In April of 2023 Portugal imported 1,406,0000 GWH of electricity from the rest of Europe. So how did these wind turbines suddenly change everything in just eight months?
It has averaged 240,000 GWH per month between Jan. 2010 and October 2023.
Doesn't this sudden success strike anyone else as odd?
Portugal just ran on 100% renewables for six days in a row

I suspect this means they simply ignored how much Portugal imported and are speaking about domestically produced energy. But even if not it still is no major accomplishment to power a country where people still use carts and horses for transportation.

You know, the John Birch Society spoke of all this forty, fifty years ago and we didn't listen (myself included). They don't seem so crazy now, do they?
BTW Anyone familiar with Isaac Asimov's Foundation novels will recognize what is being discussed; the Second Foundation. Hidden puppetmasters pulling the strings. Only Asimov thought the Second Foundation would be a kind of religious cult doing this for the good of Humanity. While in many ways the same is true of the Deep State/Ruling Class as well they are also out for their own power and profit. The Second Foundationers at least hid away on Trantor and lived like simple farmers. Our Second Foundationers live like Emperors at our expense.
This is written by Brandon Smith:
When I first encountered the concept of 4th Generation Warfare around 20 years ago, I was studying the foundations of propaganda and how it works. While the core issue is deeply disturbing on many levels, I also found how governments and elitists have endeavored to control the masses despite the rising demand for "democracy" and personal liberty fascinating.
With the advent of armed and trained civilian populations and the global shock of the American Revolution's defeat of the greatest military apparatus on the planet at that time, elitist groups realized that controlling the public with military might was no longer a sure bet. They had to engage in a new kind of warfare using psychological attacks until they could weaken and disarm the populace and rule by the barrel of a gun once again.
A large part of this strategy involves using economic leverage for social engineering. A hundred years ago it was more about banks creating an endless series of debt mechanisms and controlling the issuance of currencies. Today, corporate elites are expanding. They are trying to influence public behavior by attaching a "social justice" ideology to lending through ESG. In other words, if you want to have access to credit and have the ability to compete in the new "inclusive" marketplace you will have to bow to the woke religion.
A greater factor, though, is the shift of the Overton Window by making cultural foundations into cultural villains.
