A looming technology-security minerals crisis?

Paul Driessen

Impacts from the 1973 OPEC oil embargo could pale by comparison to an embargo or other disrupted access to the exotic, critical and strategic metals and minerals that are essential for energy, computer, defense and other technologies that are the foundation for virtually every facet of US economy and security. Right now, the United States imports up to 100% of those materials – and two dozen of them come 60% to 100% from China, Russia or mines controlled by those two countries.

Ironically, we likely have all of them right under our feet. But the United States is the only nation in the world that locks them up, makes them inaccessible under almost any conditions. My article lays out some of the steps that must be taken to address this untenable, unsustainable situation … and cites a new book that provides fascinating and disturbing details about it.

Left Wing Recruiting the Insane

Timothy Birdnow

James O'Keefe bails another imbedded Leftist.

From the Hill:

""O’Keefe claims another scalp…”

"A national field director for the left-leaning Americans United for Change was fired on Monday after the release of an undercover video that showed him saying he hired mentally ill people to protest at Donald Trump events.

Scott Foval, the now former national field director for Americans United for Change, describes in one video how he convinces people to do "conflict engagement” at rallies for the GOP presidential nominee.

"We have mentally ill people who we pay to do shit, make no mistake,” he says.

Fovall also said he wanted his hires to be attacked at Trump events.

"If you’re there and you’re protesting and you do these actions, you will be attacked at Trump rallies. That’s what we want,” Foval says on the undercover video released by conservative activist James O’Keefe. "The whole point of it is that we know that Trump’s people will freak the f— out, his security team will freak out, and his supporters will lose their shit.”

End excerpt.

So the boss hog of Ameridcans United for (Chump) Change exploits the insane to promote radicla Leftism. You cannot stoop as low as these people.

Is that the Reichstag Burning? More Bluenabomber Info

Timothy Birdnow

Does anybody else wonder if we aren't being played for patsies with the Bluenabomber? I mean, considering everything we know, I have a hard time swallowing the whole story. If I were a foreign agent and wanted to tamper with the American elections this is exactly how I would do it. Now, I'm not saying this is a foreign power, but something much worse; I suspect the FBI of doing the tampering here. After all, they tried to do it in the last election.

First, a word about the man accused of the crime. more...

Energy drink consumption linked to PTSD

Jack Kemp forwards this:

Study: Energy drink consumption linked to PTSD in soldiers

A new study found that the consumption of energy drinks could be contributing to post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health problems among U.S. soldiers.
What are the details?

The analysis published by Military Medicine was conducted after surveying 627 male Army personnel seven months after returning from a year-long combat deployment to Afghanistan.

Soldiers were asked how frequently they had consumed energy drinks such as Red Bull, Rockstar, or Monster over the past month, and were quizzed on mental health variables such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and alcohol abuse.

The authors found that more than 75 percent of respondents consumed energy drinks, and 16 percent reported "high use" defined as two or more cans per day.

Rosenstein refusing to obey Declassification Order

Timothy Birdnow

Lee Smith, writing at Real Clear Investigations delineates a plot by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to disobey Trump's declassification order and withold information pertaining to the FISA warrant application to spy on then candidate Trump.

Smith makes the case:

In the 178-page court document, DOJ officials said they had "determined that disclosure of redacted information in the Carter Page FISA documents could reasonably be expected to interfere with the pending investigation into Russian election interference.”

End excerpt.

Got that? He's simply going to refuse to release this to Congress on the theory that it would obstruct the Mueller probe. Huh? The Mueller probe is a direct result of that FISA application in the first place. What wonderful circular reasoning; you can't see it because it might impede an investigation that you prompted with this document in the first place. Cute trick.

It's well past time for Congress to subpeona Rosenstein and - if necessary - cite him with Contempt of Congress.

Synagogue Shooting in Pittsburg

Timothy Birdnow

A neo-nazi has opened fire on a progressive Jewish synagogue in Pittsburg, killing 11 people.

A suspect - Robert Bowers - is in custody. Bowers is apparently a Jew-hating neo-nazi who believes Donald Trump is part of an internationalist Jewish conspiracy.

As of the time this local article posted six people were injured at the Tree of Life synagogue. That number has, I am given to understand, risen to 11.

Sadly the attack took place at a baby-naming ceremony, a time of great joy. Donald Trump has called for the death penalty for Bowers. I concur.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sends his condolences.

Bowers thought Donald Trump an internationalist. According to Philly.com:

"In recent days, Robert Bowers vigorously posted anti-Jewish posts and wrote several of his own. He did not favor Donald Trump, endorsing posts suggesting that the president was controlled by Jews and writing that he "is a globalist, not a nationalist. There is no #MAGA as long as there is a kike infestation." He also wrote that he was "glad the overwhelming jew [sic] problem has been solved so we can now fight with each other.""

End excerpt.

I would like to ask all Aviary readers for prayers for the deceased, their families, the synagogue, and the American Jewish community in general.

Chinese may join Iranian boycott

Timothy Birdnow

It looks as if Trump may have the Chinese on board with his plans to boycott Iranian oil. According to the Washington Times:

"Beijing has long vowed to defy the revived U.S. sanctions, but this week a key Chinese export-finance bank and the country’s largest state oil refineries indicated that they were pulling back from their business with Tehran. China is Iran’s single biggest oil customer, and a drawback by Beijing would be a major victory for the U.S. pressure campaign.

Countries that opposed Mr. Trump’s decision on the nuclear deal vowed to defy U.S. secondary sanctions targeting their companies that continue to trade with Iran. But as in Europe, the prospect of losing access to the much-bigger U.S. economy and financial system has apparently forced Chinese officials to recalculate.

"China’s major firms are not just invested in Iran but other countries as well,” said Riley Walters, a policy analysts at The Heritage Foundation’s Asian Studies Center. "They have much more to lose if they are subject to sanctions, which is why you see the majors starting to pull out.”

End excerpt.

If Trump can reimpose sanctions the psychological blow to Iran will be devastating; they finally got them relieved under Obama, and now to face them again will likely lead to terrible discontent in the terror kingdom. There is nothing more devastating than unmet rising expectations. Hopelessness can be endured, but aborted hope is crushing. Should Trump pull this off he may well trigger a revolution in Iran.

McCaskill's Vile Campaign

Timothy Birdnow

"Air Claire" McCaskill is running a vile campaign ad - or her surrogates are doing it for her, anyway - accusing Josh Hawley of blaming women for being raped.

The despicable accusation stems from comments Hawley made back at the beginning of the year where he chastised the Sexual Revolution, blaming it for the rise in human sex trafficking.

Sinead O'Connor converts to Islam

NetZero Message Center

Jack Kemp

Sinead O'Conner, the woman who tore up a picture of Pope John Paul II on Saturday Night Live in 1992, has converted to Islam.

Gee, and she would have been a great guest for the just cancelled Megyn Kelly show on NBC. They are both birds of a feather.

Sinead O'Connor has announced she has converted to Islam and changed her name to the Arabic word for martyr.

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer, 51, tweeted a picture of herself wearing a hijab.

Mom-of-four O'Connor was ordained a priest by a Catholic sect during the 1990s.

But the Irish singer has changed faiths and her name to Shuhada Davitt.

Sinead, who has struggled with mental health issues, told fans: "This is to announce that I am proud to have become a Muslim."

End

A quick note from Tim:

She was NOT ordained a priest by a Catholic sect. She was ordained by the Irish Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church, which is in no way associated with the Catholic Church. It's a sect with roots in eastern Orthodox Christianity, not Catholicism.  This is not an "Eastern Rite" faith in communion with the Catholic Church, but a schismatic entity fully outside of the Catholic faith.

Megyn Kelly fired at NBC - she still collects $69 million

Democrat's Reichstag Firebomb

Timothy Birdnow

So now we have a number of prominent Democrats/leftists receiving pipe bombs in the mail (or, in the case of George Soros, being hand-delivered) and the immediate reaction is to blame Donald Trump. (Well, Trump is blamed for everything, including psoriasis, acne, and athlete's foot.) But, despite someones apparent best efforts, not one single bomb exploded or did any real damage - and of course these bombs never would have successfully hit their targets anyway, as at worst a stafffer would have opened them. One has to wonder at the absolute incompetence of the bomber or bombers; was this a good-faith effort to actually murder somebody, or is something else happening here?

First, a number of bomb experts have doubted the efficacy of these devices. According to DC Whispers:

"DUMB.” That’s the assessment of a Navy veteran and professional bomb disposal officer regarding the toy-like ‘bombs’ that the media has gone gaga over today. In fact, Tom Sauer likens these non-functional pipe bombs to a few road flares taped to an ‘old-timey alarm clock ticking away’ like you would see in cartoons. more...

Trump Appoints gay rights advocate to Ninth Circuit

Timothy Birdnow

Donald Trump has appointed a radical homosexual activist to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

According to the Christian Post:

"Patrick Bumatay is an assistant United States attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California, where he is a member of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Forces Section,” the announcement noted in part. "He is currently detailed to the Office of the Attorney General, where he serves as counselor to the attorney general on various criminal issues, including the national opioid strategy and transnational organized crime.”

Bumatay also worked in the U.S. Department of Justice and obtained his law degrees from Yale and Harvard Law School.

"He is a member of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA), the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association, and the Federal Bar Association,” the White House noted.

According to the Homann website, "The Tom Homann LGBT Law Association is dedicated to the advancement of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues throughout California and the nation. We are also the place for San Diego’s LGBTQ lawyers to network, build friendships and develop their careers.”

End excerpt.

While sex should not have a major impact on the selection of a judge, someone who is a.trained in the Ivy League and b. a member of an organization dedicated to advancing a political agenda that is in line with the Left is not someone we want in a position of authority, especially at an appelate court where most of the legal challenges in this country are decided.

Why couldn't Mr. Trump appoint a solid conservative? The courts are, after all, a large part of why he was elected. What value is there in appointing a guy affiliated with a liberal organization?

America deserves better.

Drag Queen at Middle School Career Day

Timothy Birdnow

A Colorado Middle School is in hot water after hosting a drag queen as part of "Career Day".

From CBS:

"Students at Rocky Top in Thornton range from 6th to 8th grade. The drag queen, identified as a woman who goes by "Jessica L’Whor,” is a relative of one student. The district confirmed she was invited to attend career day.

"I knew it was going to be controversial because that was nothing that would be allowed when I was in middle school,” L’Whor said. "At the same time, it opened up a door for conversation.”

End excerpt.

Career day is intended to teach children about different possible careers, to help them find some sense of direction in their later lives. It is NOT to "open a door for conversation as the transvestite seems to believe. .

And to allay any doubts, the school administrators put it even more plainly:

"District spokesperson Joe Ferdani said staff believed the visit by L’Whor would demonstrate their inclusiveness of all, no matter how they prefer to dress.

"The school’s focus is to have an event that is representative of the diverese backgrounds and careers in the community,” Ferdani said."

End excerpt.

No, the school's focus is to promote and promulgate a radical leftist cultural belief. They are not trying to teach the students but rather propagandize them. The number of transvestites (and I use that word over transgender because a. gender is a function of language and not of sex and bl.it is more accurate as it covers all those who wear clothing of the opposite sex) is a fraction of one percent. It is hardly a "career choice". Oh, and if they are going to feature drag queens, why not strippers? Hookers? Porn stars?

The article states that:

"L’Whor did not perform for the students, rather electing to read a book which addressed bullying."

So why did he attend Career Day? If this is about drag as a career, then it failed.

That is because it had nothing to do with careers, and everything to do with proselytizing for the heterodoxy of personal sexual selection.

The school apologized - but only for not telling parents in advance. They refuse to apologize for hosting a deviant psychological personality with the intent of presenting said individual as normal, wholesome, and healthy.

I have a question; would this school invite a black-face minstrel to speak?

The parents in this school district need to demand the school Administrator be fired, as well as the principle.

The comments were quite good and most everyone is angry about this. One commenter, Brian Lucas, had this to say:

"Where are all the interviews with angry parents??? Most of the story is about this perverted individual. Let me guess: the reporter "couldn’t find any”. Or maybe she didn’t bother. Once again, media bias at its finest."

Indeed; where were interviews with angry parents. There obviously WERE angry parents or the school wouldn't have issued it's non-apology apology. Why were none of them represented in the story?

This is nothing but an attempt to undermine parental authority, to deceive children, to violate Natural Law, and to assert absolute authority over society.

Children that age are in a very confusing state, with changes to their bodies and minds overtaking their abilities to comprehend. They need guidance at this juncture. Sadly, their teachers and others they are taught to trust are not giving them the kind of guidance they require to become stable and happy people, but rather are being tossed into the sea, adrift without a lifejacket.  "Transgenderism" is not an inborn thing; there is not a shred of evidence to support that claim. By intervening in this fashion at this point the school is telling these kids it is fine to accept whatever perversions or insane notions you may FEEL. The end result is mental illness, psychological anxiety, and a host of other problems. This transcends bad teaching. It is evil, and our society had better wake up to the monstrous nature of this before an entire generation is lost to the torments of a sick mind.

The Devil Made Me Do It

Jack Kemp

From Townhall.com:

"A man was arrested after allegedly groping a woman on a flight from Houston, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The most interesting tidbit? The man told authorities "the president of the United States says it's OK to grab women by their private parts," KTRK-TV reported.

Bruce Michael Alexander, 49, was seated in a window seat on a Southwest Airlines flight. The woman who sat in front of him told authorities she fell asleep and woke up 15 minutes later when she "felt her clothes move and a touching of fingers on her right side" near her breast, the Tampa Bay Times reported"

END OF QUOTE

I think this Bruce Alexander got Trump mixed up with Al Franken. Anyway, the article goes on to state that:

"He's been charged with abusive sexual contact and remains in custody until a preliminary hearing takes place. If convicted, Alexander faces up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine."

END OF QUOTE

If he goes to prison, he will probably hear some guys there tell him that Trump said it was alright for THEM to sexually touch Bruce Alexander.

I once knew a bank officer, the husband of a coworker of mine, who had some trouble getting a customer to pay back a loan. He got the customer to comply when he told him, "If you don't pay this back you will go to prison and be rooming with a six foot eight inch guy who only knows one verbal expression - I love you, Lucile." The customer soon recalled that he had the resources to pay back the bank loan and he paid up.

Anti-fracking chaos in Colorado

Paul Driessen

The "fracking” revolution has enabled the United States to produce more oil than at any time since 1970, and more natural gas than at ever before. But the technology is under constant assault by radical environmentalists who want to keep all our fossil fuels in the ground. They’ve now launched a new strategy, not to ban the process outright, but to create enormous "buffer zones” around homes, schools and intermittent streams. If they are successful in Colorado, they would shut down nearly all oil and gas production in the state … and cost it well over $11 billion per year and 62,000 jobs by 2030.

If this crazy Colorado initiative is successful, it would also set an ominous precedent for the entire nation. At both the state and national level, notes energy analyst David Wojick, the impacts would be catastrophic – for oil and natural gas production, jobs and salaries, state and local revenues, pension plans, unemployment compensation and welfare programs, oil and gas exports, national security, and America’s newfound position as a global energy leader.
