So now we have a number of prominent Democrats/leftists receiving pipe bombs in the mail (or, in the case of George Soros, being hand-delivered) and the immediate reaction is to blame Donald Trump. (Well, Trump is blamed for everything, including psoriasis, acne, and athlete's foot.) But, despite someones apparent best efforts, not one single bomb exploded or did any real damage - and of course these bombs never would have successfully hit their targets anyway, as at worst a stafffer would have opened them. One has to wonder at the absolute incompetence of the bomber or bombers; was this a good-faith effort to actually murder somebody, or is something else happening here?

First, a number of bomb experts have doubted the efficacy of these devices. According to DC Whispers:

"DUMB.” That’s the assessment of a Navy veteran and professional bomb disposal officer regarding the toy-like ‘bombs’ that the media has gone gaga over today. In fact, Tom Sauer likens these non-functional pipe bombs to a few road flares taped to an ‘old-timey alarm clock ticking away’ like you would see in cartoons. End excerpt.

And Dana Loesche had a bomb expert on her show yesterday who said the device looked fake, although he couldn't say that for certain without physically examining it.

Granted, the FBI claims the devices had "the potential to explode" but that does not mean they are functional in any way. A gas water heater has the potential to explode, too. So does a lawn mower. There is a huge difference between potential and functional. One must ask why none of these gadgets didn't go off, if they had such great potential. And one must further expect nothing else from the FBI, who is tasked with investigating this; they can ill-afford to say this was a hoax until they have an idea who sent it.

Ace of Spades takes it even further:

But a source briefed on [the Soros] device and the one sent to CNN told The Post on Wednesday that they couldn't actually have blown up because neither was equipped with a blasting cap or other means of detonating explosive material.

"There was nothing to ignite it," the source said. "There was nothing there."

A box of black powder you buy to blow up tree stumps is not a bomb, because it is not capable of self-detonation.

All this "device" is is some black powder in a PVC (!!!) pipe (dat light plastic shrapnel doh) and some ornamental wires and an Ahmed the Clock Boy type clock.

It's a fugazi.

Please ignore the fact these bombs were obviously non-functioning fakes, never went through the mail and fit the Democrat narrative exactly just 2 weeks before the midterms they are LOSING. No, I'm sorry, I can't ignore that.


So, we likely have a non-functioning SERIES of bombs, sent to a bunch of Democrats, with no chance of success. Why, pray tell, would Conservatives or Republicans send nonfunctioning gadgets if they wanted to do something like this?

This does nothing but help the Democrats.

How, you ask? Well, first off, it dovetails with a series of blood-libels by Democratic operatives like Mark Potock of the Southern Poverty Law Center claiming there is a wave of "right wing terrorism" across the country. Anyone remember the Missouri Information Analysis Center. the Missouri Fusion Center report "The Modern Militia Movement”? I back in 2009. Missouri tried to give police cover for harassing conservatives based on conservative bumper stickers or Gadsden flags or Christian symbols. This was followed by the Obama Administration Federalizing it with a very similar report by the Department of Homeland Security. The claim is that Christians, third party types, returning military, and people with Gadsden flags or confederate flags or any other thing the Left doesn't like is a potential terrorist. It has never been born out, and public outcry led to both of these reports being withdrawn, but you see the point; this was where they have been trying to go. Read the PDF of the report here.

Meanwhile, Mr. Obama had encouraged violence on any number of occasions:

"if they bring a knife to the fight we'll bring a gun" for instance, and he never condemned the violence in Ferguson or Baltimore (why should he; it was Organizing for America that was promoting much of it).

The result? Antifa thugs assassinated police officers across the country, innocent diners were verbally assaulted, etc. And during the Presidential campaign people attending Donald Trump rallies were beaten and assaulted by thugs while the Obama Administration lifted nary a finger.

The Democrats and their media allies have refused to call out left wing violence. There have been numerous assaults on conservatives across the country. We had the attack on the Patriot Prayer Rally in Portland, Oregon. Antifa attacked a peaceful protest in Berkeley. A leftist radical tried to murder the Republicans in Congress practicing for a baseball game, shooting Republican Whip Steve Scalise and a couple of staffers. Then Republican Rand Paul got beaten up by a Democrat neighbor. And while the media (and the perp) try to claim this was not political, Paul was later chased the Senator down in an airport.

Scalise tells us about numerous assaults on Republicans. From Fox News:

In Minnesota, two Republican candidates for state office were punched.

Shane Mekeland is a first-time candidate who is unfortunately entering politics at a time when violence seems to be condoned or shrugged off by leading voices on the left.

Mekeland became a victim of this violent hysteria while at a restaurant speaking with local voters. He is now recovering from a concussion that resulted from a completely unprovoked sucker-punch to his head.

Minnesota state Rep. Sarah Anderson was punched by a man for having the courage to confront him as he committed the criminal act of destroying campaign yard signs. As she took action to defend her fellow Americans’ freedom of speech, she was violently assaulted in a gross intimidation attempt.

Late Wednesday, we learned of yet another alleged assault, this time against Nevada Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt’s campaign manager, Kristin Davidson.

And let us not forget the verbal assaults on numerous Trump Administration officials in restaurants, as well as attacks on Republicans like Mitch McConnell.

Democrats Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton, and Eric Holder have all called for their supporters to harass Republicans. And neither to Democratic Party nor the media has bothered to call any of these out.

Daniel Greenfield [lin=https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/271735/only-left-can-stop-political-violence-america-daniel-greenfield] says it best:

The media called this "activism." It denounced Republicans for warning of "angry mobs." And now the very same media has suddenly decided that threatening and assaulting people whose politics you disagree with is wrong. As long as the political figures being assaulted are Democrats.

But it doesn't work that way. Democrats and their media allies have sanctioned violence against Republicans. They've defended harassment and even assaults as activism. They have embraced and celebrated hate groups. The mob culture they have brought forth is fundamentally changing the rules of American politics. The alleged bombs should open a dialogue about the degree to which violence has become the currency of our politics. But instead the media will offer up the same tired talking points that ignore the violence of its side, while pretending that the culture of political violence in the last two years began yesterday.

It did not. Once political terror is unleashed, it can't be controlled or compartmentalized. Leftists, who have written a bloody history of political terror from Europe to South America, from the Middle East and across Asia, and right back to America, ought to know that better than anyone else. The Left has made it its mission to destroy America. This is what destroying a country looks like.

So, the Left isn't happy that they are now reaping what they themselves sowed.

Consider the viciousness of the attacks on the President over the last two years. Consider the vile assault on Brett Kavanaugh, whose only crime was accepting the nomination to the Supreme Court. The dems brought a scurrilous, unverifiable accusation of ATTEMPTED RAPE against a man with an impeccable reputation.

Now, violence is absolutely unacceptable, and I applaud efforts to find the bomber and punish him or her to the fullest extent of the law. But I will say this; if one pours gasoline on a fire one should not be surprised if it explodes.

But we must ask; who benefits from these bomb scares?

Well, the Millenials are notorious for not turning out for elections, and they are all in against Donald Trump. Something had to light a fire under them, as the "blue wave" is appearing more and more like a ripple. How to get them out? Well, saying the opposition is ready to kill people is one way. Scare tactics work. Ask the Germans; Hitler and his ilk staged a false-flag attack, the Reichstag fire, and used it to springboard themselves to complete power.

Isn't the timing on this odd? The GOP has everything to lose by this at this late juncture. The bomber is stupid beyond words if he or she wants to discourage his apparent sworn enemies. He is helping them. Now, there are stupid people out there, but someone capable of sending these bombs would likely not be so stupid, or at least miss hitting anyone. It just does not pass the smell test.

The only assertion I've heard is that this is to suppress the vote. Really? Who is going to be afraid of their polling place being bombed because of this? No, this helps the Dems and hurts the GOP, and that alone. It looks surprisingly like political theater.


Meanwhile, the New York Times published a story about the assassination of Trump one day after these supposed bombs appeared. From the Daily Caller:

The New York Times published a short story about assassinating President Donald Trump Tuesday just one day before "potential explosive devices” showed up at the addresses of multiple political figures including former President Barack Obama.

The New York Times asked novelists "to conjure possible outcomes” to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election for a Tuesday piece.

English thriller novelist Zoë Sharp wrote the short story, titled "How It Ends,” about a Russian assassin on a suicide mission who receives help from a Secret Service agent to kill Trump. A character who is working with the Russians in the story implies that Trump "was handpicked at the highest possible level” and must be silenced.

So it's fine to fantasize about murdering the President. And then everyone is surprised at violence in politics.

The media becomes enraged when Trump calls them the Enemy of the People. Well, what can you call them when they do this sort of thing? I would call it truth in advertising.

This bomb scare stinks to high heaven.
