The pollsters who accurately predicted '20 and '24 say all the attacks on Trump are failing and that Trump's approval numbers remain strong. Naturally the media is going to political hack polls to "prove" Trump is wildly unpopular.
BTW Ronald Reagan never polled very well when he was President either. At this same time in his Presidency (during his first term) Reagan was at 55 approval - just a little ahead of Trump. And by February of '87 Reagan dipped down into the forties. He was also down to 49% in '82, at the height of the recession.
Trump is certainly running on a par with Reagan. Not as well but on a par.
And of course polls are no longer about what the public thinks but about manipulating public opinion, and they have turned the name Trump into an invective, a curse word, something accompanied by spitting on the floor for many.
But the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and Trump's best days are ahead as the economy ramps up and people feel free and proud again.

Chuck Todd, former NBC News Director, actually claimed there was no cover up in Biden's mental decline!
From the Daily Caller:
"And a combination of that and Trump’s behavior made them not see how damaging Biden might be to the public. Because they were comparing it — well, hey, yeah, we’ve got the forgetful guy, but Trump, right?” he continued. "There was always this ‘but Trump.’ And the way Whipple seems to characterize it is that it was discounted because of the Trump discount, right? Essentially, right?”
Todd also speculated that Biden’s decline might have been more apparent to his staff if he had faced off against former Republican South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley rather than Trump.
"If you’re 80 years old and you’re standing next to an 80-year-old, you think you look pretty good in the mirror,” he said. "You’re 80 years old and you’re standing next to a 50-year-old and you suddenly go, ‘Who’s the old guy standing next to the 50-year-old,’ right? And that, I think, contributed to the benign ignorance on this story.”
"Yes, everybody could see that Biden was slowing down, but it didn’t seem like a threat because the candidate on the other side was Donald Trump,” he continued. "And this is where a version of Trump Derangement Syndrome may have impacted the clear thinking of Biden’s behavior and potential performance.”
(Note from Tim: please do not read this next with any liquid in your mouth.)
Todd also asserted on "Piers Morgan Uncensored” Wednesday that legacy media outlets deliberately softened coverage of Biden’s decline to avoid appearing pro-Trump.
"The only thing I can chalk it up to is this, whatever you want to call it, this fear that some members of the media had sometimes — that they would be perceived as helping Trump if they somehow diminished Biden,” he said. "Right? That it was some sort of zero-sum game. And I think this has been the fundamental mistake that many members of the traditional press have done.
So reporting an objective truth isn't permissible because of "fear of looking like you're supporting Trump"? I think the media made their disapproval of Trump crystal clear over the last eight years, yet they felt it necessary to spike an obvious story. What does that tell us about the media? It makes it clear they chose sides. Todd is admitting the media is completely biased and that it's "news" is not news at all but propaganda.
Biden's decline was apparent to all of America when he debated Trump so there is no question at all that it was apparent to those who dealt with him on a regular basis. Todd is completely full of it. He is showing the utter contempt most media folk have for the average person here; he thinks we can swallow this whopper.
Also, if Biden's staff couldn't see the decline because they were comparing him to Donald Trump rather than Nikki Haley then what does that say about these folks? Trump is the same age but is hale and hearty and indefatigeable. There were plenty of warning signs with Biden - like his being knocked down by gusts of wind, or his crapping his pants while with the British royals, or his innumerable senior moments. If they couldn't see it they were dangerously stupid people who should never have had access to the President or to classified information.
Occam's razor applies here; the simplest answer is they knew full well but covered it up for political reasons. Toded knows this too; he's been around and he knows there are no coincidences in politics. He's gaslighting us even now.
No doubt this will be the narrative that will be quietly but persistantly advanced and in twenty, thirty years it will become the accepted wisdom, with kids thinking Biden was a good President, much like the Left did with Jimmy Carter.
Chuck Todd is a liar.

Yes, the good ship America is grinding against an iceberg as we speak. All that ice for cocktails may be nice to the upper class but in the end they will have to don life jackets and most of them will freeze in the frigid waters (no, that's not a reference to Hillary Clinton).
From Just the Facts:
This staggering figure equals 85% of all the wealth Americans have accumulated since the nation’s founding. It also equates to an average burden of $1.1 million on every household in the nation.
Unlike other measures of federal finances that cover an arbitrary period, extend into the infinite future, or ignore government assets, the figure of $143 trillion applies strictly to Americans who are alive right now and accounts for the value of the government’s commercial assets. Thus, it quantifies the full federal financial burden on today’s Americans.
In other words they own us lock, stock, and barrel (which we will soon be using as trousers.) We have taxpayer slavery to pay for all this, even if the IRS claims taxes are "voluntary".
The Democrats love the word sustainable; this is as unsustainable as it gets. But then that was the plan all along, to bankrupt the Western World and the U.S. in particular to empower a truly global government in the form of the U.N.

Joe Kent - Trump's nominee for director of the National Counterterrorism Center - told Congress in his confirmation hearings that National Intelligence is investigating the FBI for the dirty deeds done to President Trump and their election interference. And the January 6 self-guided Capitol tour.

Congress should have done this. The supposedly "free and independant" news media should have done this. But none chose to do it.
High time.

This is important enough for me to post the entire article from Tony Heller at Real Climate Science:
Desperate State Of The Cryosphere
Over the last nine days, the surface of the Greenland ice sheet has gained 42 billion tons of new ice and snow. The increase in mass since September 1, 2024 is 530 billion tons, which 43 billion tons above the 1981-2010 average.
Surface Conditions: Polar Portal
Arctic sea ice is about the same as it was when George Bush Jr. was president.

There is more sea ice around Antarctica now than there was when Jimmy Carter was president.

S_20250410_extn_v3.0.png
Experts say Antarctic sea ice is both decreasing and increasing, both due to global warming.
"While Arctic ice is melting at a record pace, a team of NASA-led researchers say they can explain why Antarctic sea ice has been edging in the opposite direction. That paradox has puzzled scientists for years and given climate-change deniers fodder to dispute global warming.”

SCOTUS has unanimously upheld a lower court ruling that made the Trump Administration bring back an El Salvador gangbanger to the U.S.
FTA:
"The order properly requires the Government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador," read the Supreme Court ruling.
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis had previously rejected the evidence the administration had presented that Garcia was a member of the criminal gang and ordered him returned.
Xinis was an Obama appointee.
The fact is Garcia had previously faced deportation for gang activity, and had a lengthy criminal record. He is not the snow-white angel he's being portrayed as (good father, Maryland boy who has a job, etc.) Anybody can father a child, and anybody can hold a job.
That the entire Supreme Court, including the conservative justices, voteed for this is horribly disappointing. Garcia is not a citizen and thus has no right to be here and the Administrtion has every right to remove him.
The reality is this is a separation of powers issue and a lower court has no right to intervene in this instance.
I don't know what happened to Clarence Thomas here; he must be getting senile.
The sad fact is we cannot rely on the Court to EVER do the right thing. SCOTUS needs to be circumvented as surely as any other partisan judicial court. I suspect the conservatives on the Court went along with this because they have some big cases coming and don't want to be accused of bias. They handed a minor win to the Left.
But right is right and this guy should never have been here in the first place. American law isn't for aliens to milk the country.

The House is cracking down on rogue judges and their unlawful rulings.
No More Rogue Rulings: Housse Cracks Down on Anti-Trump Judges
The bill, introduced by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), passed largely along party lines. Just one Republican joined all 212 Democrats in opposing the measure.
President Trump has endorsed my No Rogue Rulings bill – activist judges have been put on notice! pic.twitter.com/jOgcydRz5D
— Rep. Darrell Issa (@repdarrellissa) April 9, 2025
If signed into law, the legislation would prohibit federal district judges from issuing nationwide injunctions, instead requiring that their rulings be limited to the specific plaintiffs involved in the case.
The move is intended to prevent individual judges from singlehandedly stopping the administration’s policies from taking effect across the entire country.
Issa pointed to a growing trend of lower court rulings that have interfered with the administration’s actions over the past two months. These include injunctions that have blocked Trump’s policies from proceeding while legal challenges move forward.
Somehow I suspect the Senate will be a tougher sell. Bet Mitch McConnell votes against it.

Well, what do you know. Facebook committed treason.
Facebook Whistleblower Drops Nuke: Meta Gave CCP U.S. Tech Secrets
I hope Congress forces the vile corporation to break up.
Now you know why Zuckerberg suddenly sounds like Rupert Murdoch.
FTA:
Wynn-Williams, who has since become a whistleblower against the big tech giant, made a series of shocking allegations against her former employer.
The former META director claimed that her company briefed the Chinese Communist Party on advanced U.S. technologies—including AI—just to get a seat at Beijing’s lucrative tech table, while putting America at risk.
"These briefings focused on critical emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence – explicit goal being to help China outcompete American companies,” said Wynn-Williams, according to the New York Post.
"There’s a straight line you can draw from these briefings to the recent revelations that China is developing AI models for military use, relying on Meta’s Llama model,” she added.
On the surface, Project Aldrin was presented as Meta’s covert initiative to enter the Chinese market, but Wynn-Williams claimed there was much more to it.
Meta’s briefings helped the CCP by giving them insight into emerging technologies in the U.S., Wynn-Williams said.
She also revealed that Meta built a censorship engine for the CCP and took down accounts belonging to Chinese dissident Guo Wengui."
Facebook needs to be punished for what it has done over the years.

Bud Lite reclaims it's throne as America's favorite beer.
Bud Lite was in danger of being discontinued after AB Inbev made the fatal mistake of hiring tranny pretend-little girl Dylan Mulvaney to be it's spokesxi or spokesthey or whatever it wants to be called. But A-B seems to have learned their lesson, and have even stopped sponsoring gay pride parades and all the rest of the woke nonsense. So they water masquerading as beer has regained it's spot on top. (I don't see why; it's a terrible beer.)
Apparently Corona Extra was on top prior, and before that Modela - both Mexican brands. Now we are back to liking good old American pisswater instead of Mexican toilet fodder (Corona had a scandal years ago where the workers were urinating into vats of beer that were destined for export to the U.S.)
There is no accounting for taste. At least Americans are "buying American" again under MAGA. I remember when union folks pushed hard for that - now their unions want to be "citizens of the world".
Give me a Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada or one of our local products (like the Stubborn German in Waterloo Illinois) any day!

It was something that worked so well the first time they simply can't let it go. Like Global Warming, it's just too good a tool to retire.
BTW there were drills in October of 2019 about an ostensible covid pandemic that, surprise, surprise, turned very real within two months. (It was called Event201 and spearheaded by Johns-Hopkings.) Coincidence? With Trump defunding the World Health Organization they are going to do what it takes to cause a catastrophe'.

Wanted: Insane Asylums. Woman Believes She is Half Horse?
Is she hoping to pull a Catherine the Great? (Actually there is no evidence the randy Empress ever copulated with any stallion, but it makes a great story anyway.) At any rate thinking you are a horse, or a dog, or a dude when you are a girl is just plain nuts and we should lock such people away to avoid them hurting themselves.
In the modern West you can't claim to be Napoleon, or say an angel appeared to you, or the Virgin Mary, but you can say you are a seven year old girl when you are a fifty eight year old trucker. It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, world.

Consumer prices fell in March despite liberal prophecies that tariffs would lead to rising inflation for consumer goods and services.
Prices fell because of pro-growth policies by this administration. Tariffs are, after all, taxes on foreign goods and while there can be and will be some localized inflation in the end there are more than one fish in the sea and we can buy from somebody else for most of what we don't make here - and we are increasing the number of factories and workshops making these things in the U.S.
Historically inflation rarely has occurred after raising tariffs.
The Left wants us to think that is the case because they advocate corplorate taxes and income taxes which can be weaponized (and have been) to promote societal change. Tariffs are pretty straight forward and cannot be used to get into the pockets and homes of Americans.
America had ONLY tariffs and excise taxes until the Income Tax was passed as a Constitutional Amendment. Before that there was no direct taxation, and that kept the federal government in check as it was always underfunded. The income tax gave the feds unlimited money and hence unlimited power. And to make sure nobody suggested "going backwards" to the pre-income tax era they demonized tariffs so nobody would dare promote them.
I'm not saying tariffs are actually good - they are taxes, after all. But I am saying we need not fear them. I think the prices dropping last month is just more proof of that assertion. If we do see inflation it will be because of the Federal Reserve ramping up the money supply. The Fed and their control of the money supply is what determines inflation or deflation. Inflation is a monetary problem, not a trade problem or a taxation problem.
The Great Depression was caused not by tariffs (as so often claimed) or "speculation" but by the Federal Reserve contracting the money supply almot thirty percent in two years. They strangled the economy, and probably on purpose to drive social change. America made a great leap leftward during the Depression and Americans got used to the era of big government and intrusive federal powers. I do not think that was just a "happy accident". Fascism was on the rise in Europe then and had already been experimented with in America under Woodrow Wilson. The Fascists were in charge of the Federal Reserve and knew this was the way to turn America Brown. (commies loved it "first Brown then Red".)
So maybe we'll see some inflation down the road, but thus far the numbers look pretty positive for Trumpenomics.

Old King Coal is a merry old monarch these days as he has been restored to his throne!
Trump Launches Decisive Countersrike Against Democratic States Weaponized Courts Against Coal Experts
America is the absolute king of coal and is lousy with the stuff but we've strangled the industry over the last quarter century over this idiotic "climate change" nonsense. My home town of St. Louis was the undisputed capital of coal, hosting the two largest coal companies in the world - Peabody Energy and Arch Coal. Arch coal went bankerupt and then merged with Consol Energy and is now known as Core Natural Resources (and is based in Pennsylvania now). I wish Arch had held out a bit longer but such is life. At least they are still there in spirit. Peabody is still thriving.
There never was a great substitute for coal for certain things.
At any rate Trump signed a number of exucutive orders to boost our coal industry, and with more energy comes lower prices and the entire economy gets a big boost.
For decades we've been fighting with both hands tied behind our backs - using our shoulders and head and nothing more. Those days appear to be ending.

An end to Biden's order restricting the flow of shower heads.
President Donald Trump Makes American Showers Great Again
Make America Clean Again (MACA)!
Low-flow showers and toilets were a munument to human stupidity. Most of America is NOT desert or water-restricted and there never was a logical reason to impose draconian water-saving methods on everyone. It was pure liberalism; one size fits all because "that's fair".
But you had to flush low-flow toilets five times to get your waste down, and the showers wouldn't clean the soap scum off of you. And all of this was because California refused to store enough water, preferring bait fish and snails to human beings. In recent years California has taken down multiple dams and let their water flow to the sea. Then, when it's too dry, they demand all of America restrict water usage because Californians could go buy toilets and shower heads in other states and we can't have THAT!
Now, I wonder how long before we can get our incandescent lightbulbs back? Make America Light Again (MALA)!
