To balance the budget, they're proposing to cut $500 million to school facilities.
The State is facing an almost $73 billion deficit.

Sure glad my wife and I don't live there. Wish my brother-in-law didn't either, but there are family reasons he needs to, otherwise he'd be headed east at a very fast clip.
