Extinction Rebellion, that moonbat Global Warming protest group that was making fools of themselves along with Scoldilocks Thunberg, is now bemoaning their enforced idleness thanks to COVID 19.
While vowing to keep bitching protesting the group complains that they cannot get together to throw their usual temper tantrum.
A couple of points:
First, this illustrates the urban nature of the membership of Extinction Rebellion. They are in the most heavily infected urban areas, meaning in the most liberal, Democratic cities. As ye sew, so shall ye reap!
Second, why aren't they talking about how much the industrial emissions have declined and how that has shown clear, positive benefits in terms of greenhouse gas emissions? This is exactly what they have been demanding.
The reason is simple; despite a huge reduction in industrial output the rate of carbon dioxide increase in the Earth's atmosphere has remained constant. In other words, there has been no decline in the rate of growth. NOT in overall carbon dioxide levels, but in the amount of carbon dioxide increasing in the Earth's atmosphere. That pretty much demolishes the whole anthropogenic global warming theory, because it suggests that the increased carbon dioxide we have seen in the last forty years or so is a natural event and not being caused by Humanity.
Whic utterly destroys their message; these people cannot blame Man for increased carbon dioxide, and as a result cannot demand we reduce industrial output. I think they know this, which is why they are not trumpeting the virus as a champion for human survival.
Finally, this virus has not only shut down Extinction Rebellion, but also the Hong Kong protests, and the Yellow Vest protests in France. Seem the authorities were given a Godsend with this, which has pretty much stifled all dissent.
Political Godsends don't just happen by accident. Especially not this kind of thing at so critical a juncture in human history.
Frankly the more we see of this the more it appears to be perhaps the greatest crime in human history, or at least the greatest con act. Yes, there is a pandemic, but it is hardly worse than the pandemics of 1957 or 1968, much less the Spanish Flu. It's nowhere comparable to the Black Death. The only thing different is how the entire world responded. What has been done is unprecedented, and increasingly appears to have been a power grab of monumental proportion.
