U.S. Steel Shuts Plant, Lays Off 1000 Workers

U.S. Steel is shutting down a major foundry in Granite City Illinois. A thousand employees are expected to be laid off.
Granite City is a suburb of St. Louis. I grew up just across the river from there.
That is another manufacturing plant now gone from America and a thousand workers now going on the dole.
This is a sign of the times. Joe Biden is deindustrializing America and doing a fine job of it too.

He will no doubt Dana. And real people will suffer because of it.
Granite City is already a struggling blue collar community, with the people there only doing well because of those jobs. It's going to cream that city. So a thousand people are going to be broke this Christmas and probably for the rest of their lives (as most don't have Harvard degrees). What is happening due to this phoney issue is evil.
