The things they insist you should do:

1. Rely totally on the government.
2. Give up cash.
3. Use electric vehicles.
4. Give up guns.
5. Have no basic skills yourself.
6. Have no independent energy source.
7. Have no real community.
8. Be obese.
9. Be lazy.
10. Be emotionally hysterical and lack all traditional male qualities.

The things you need in any actual serious emergency:

1. Self reliance.
2. Cash.
3. A non electric vehicle.
4. Guns.
5. Basic survival skills.
6. An independent energy source.
7. A real community that helps each other.
8. To be fit.
9. Energy and determination.
10. Calmness and all the traditional male qualities.

1 It's beyond obvious that our current administration is working against Americans. Time to throw it out on its collective ear, maybe? It's certainly not doing any of us any darn good.

2 Agreed. In fact it's probably time to acctually dissolve the entire government and start over. The Founders actually expected we'd do that from time to time. I see nothing good in anything in the government at this point. It's purpose is entirely self-serving. And the millions employed by the government will drag the country down to keep the gravy train running.
