1 All true and I cannot refute it. That being said, however, we cannot vote our way out of where we are now. It has gone beyond that. The only possible way to create real change is to throw the ruling class out by violence. So the point is we cannot afford insufficient violence, we have to engage in sufficient force to get the job done. "If you try to kill the king, you had better succeed."

2 Frankly, I think all of you are right. But it may end up being a bit messy.

3 Correct Bill. The Left used violence  judiciously to keep the pressure on but also they were careful to keep it minimal so as to avoid provoking a reaction. They used a Fabian socialism - incremental, patient, plodding but they never let up. Now we are where we are.

I agree; the last election showed we aren't voting these SOB's out. This is a strategy of the moment; they want us to do something that will allow them to crack down and we would be wise to avoid it. But we have to keep violence on the table. If Nelson Mandela refused to renounce violence in South Africa (and that's all he had to do to get out of prison) who are we to do so when we have such high stakes?
