The Madness of PC Journalism

Fay Voshell

A good article by Rod Dreher.

That Is Not A Woman

From the article:

"When language itself becomes corrupted, it becomes impossible to describe reality. Journalists are required now by their employers to write official lies, such as Kadin E. Moore is a woman, simply because Moore, a troubled, violent 19 year old, says he is.

I find it hard to encourage young people to consider professional journalism as a career. It used to be because jobs were scarce, but now, added to that, is the clear trend of having to use one’s words to lie. To flat-out lie about what is real, and to lie in a way that journalists working for Pravda and Izvestia had to do back in the day.

If one takes Solzhenitsyn’s counsel — "Live not by lies” — seriously, how could one work in mainstream American journalism in this era of gender ideology and political correctness? I’m not asking rhetorically. How could a person of integrity put his or her name on a story that requires having to refer to the Kadin E. Moores of the world as "women”? To be clear, I have no trouble with inserting a clause in stories like this saying Moore identifies as a woman. That is true. What I strongly object to is saying that Moore is a woman."

1 Thanks Fay; good article.

I consider this to be akin to the sin of witchcraft. It's clearly an attempt to alter reality through some sort of magic - in this case by simply redefining words and refusing to accept that which is real. Is it much different from love spells or magic potions designed to allow witches to fly? Not by much. In both cases the participant wants to redefine reality to their liking.

The Bible says witchcraft is a serious sin.

You cannot create your own reality for any length of time; in the end, natural laws - like gravity - will destroy your illusions.

2 Oh, and the author gets this too. He quotes a WSJ essay about "transgenderism" in the update:

"For those with a religious conviction that sex is both biological and binary, God’s purposeful creation, denial of this involves sacrilege no less than bowing to idols in the town square."

Indeed that is absolutely correct. We are essentially flipping God the bird with this stuff.

"Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

Revelation 9:21

Abortion, transgenderism and gay marriage, the sexual revolution, confiscatory taxation anyone?
