Actually, Hollywood was guaranteed to ring itself dry. They make movies aimed at pleasing the Chinese communists as well as catering to every pervert and deviant around. They have a tin ear about what Americans want because they live in a bubble full of like-minded degenerates and fruitcakes.
And with Canada competing with them (although they promote the same thing there) it's little wonder they are losing money.
Most of the creativity is now in independent films too, which can be done anywhere by anyone. The studios no longer have that much power.
So I'm not surprised. But will they learn from this?

The fact is Hollywood USED to know how to make movies that drew people. And George Lucas and Steven Spielberg revived the tradition, bucking the then conventional wisdom. But everyone - even Spielberg and Lucas - seem to have forgotten and bought the woke culture hook, line, and sinker.
