The Dirty House Speaker

Timothy Birdnow

Why has Nancy Pelosi come around on impeaching President Trump, and why is she now fighting so desperately to force the GOP into allowing a freak show trial?

Here's why.

Judi McLeod has blown the Speaker's cover with this must read article.

I won't try to excerpt it, but rest assured it exposes the immense corruption of the Speaker and her son Paul (and Gavin Newsom, California Governor.)  Read it all!

Remember when Pelosi said "it takes a woman to clean the House"?  Under her maidship the House has become rancid.

1 I read that article twice and find a truckload of inneuedo, but not one single concrete actual accusation of wrongdoing. She was next door to the bank when it was robbed. Sorry, can't be put in jail for that. I have no problem believing that she is entirely corrupt, everyone in our government is, but that article doesn't do it for me.

2 Bill, my point is she is corrupt to the core and if investigated would likely wind up in serious trouble. No, there is nothing concrete to the point of prosecutability, (that's why the title is "alleged scandals") but that she can not afford to be investigated, and the best way to innoculate herself is by going after the President.

The point is there is more there than was used to investigate the President.

3 Defamation by innuendo is what Democrats do. We do not win hearts and minds by descending to their level. When fighting terrorists, you do not win by becoming terrorists.

4 Bill, you have to fight fire with fire. That is precisely why Trump has such a success record. And it's a bit more than innuendo, just not solid evidence of malfeasance as of yet.

The point is, they are always doing it to us without our striking back. That is dreadful military policy - or  political policy. We should be investigating ALL of their top brass at this point. You know full well they are hiding a lot of dirt.

This soft power strategy of "being the bigger man" is why we are in the current situation we find ourselves. It's what every kid who has ever lost his lunch money has employed.

Again, I point out that where there is smoke - most especially with these people - there is fire. All anyone is asking is to look into it.

If we had simply withdrawn our naval forces from the Pacific to defend our coastland during WWII we would have lost the war. We've been doing that thing politically for years.

5 You cannot insist that your opponent is unable to use insinuation and innuendo to defame President Trump and then turn around and use insinuation and innuendo to defame Nancy Pelosi. If you want to insist that they use facts to attack Trump, then you have to use facts to attack Pelosi.

I read your posts because you make reasoned and reasonable arguments. If you're going to "fight fire with fire" and write the same kind of garbage that the left does, you are not going to be worth reading. Don't go there.

6 If "we should be investigating ALL of their top brass," then investigate away. Find facts and publish the facts. Don't engage in the same lying by insinuation that the other side does.

Posted by: Bill H at December 30, 2019 04:36 PM (vMiSr)

7 Oh, come now, Bill; nobody is arguing for using mere innuendo and insinuation, but I AM saying that there is probably some there there and we should look into it. Given that Hillary is up to her eyeballs with the Ukrainians, and so is the Biden family, do you really think that Pelosi is not?  The Ukrainians clearly made a tactical decision to support Democrats, believing that they were the future in America (a not unfounded assertion.)  They opposed Donald Trump precisely because he suggested scaling back on NATO - something they were making the centerpiece of their national defense strategy.

Pelosi was House Speaker and Minority Leader. Don't you think they tried to get her on their side?

Bill, again, no one is calling for making anything up. But we are just asking for trouble if we ignore things in the interest of comity.

Paul Pelosi Jr. was on the board of directors for Viscoil as well as NRG Labs and has visited Ukraine on at least one  occasion - in 2017. You don't think this is something the public ought to know? It's not illegal to do any of this, but then we had no reason to suspect illegality with Hunter Biden either at first. But it is absolutely obvious that Paul Pelosi sits on these boards for the exact same reason Bunter Biden sat on the Barisma board; his association with a powerful American politican.

He was supposedly there to talk about youth soccer. I find it interesting, as Ukraine is at the epicenter of the Steele dossier, where the Ukrainians recruited Russian intelligence to dig up dirt on then candidate Donald Trump for the Clinton campaign.

Proof of anything? No, but the connection should disturb the hell out of us.

The now suspended Viscoil had as one of it's two managers Sergey Sorokin, a resident of Moscow. Proof of anything? No, but it sure smells.

Even Red State, notoriously anti-Trump and slow to believe something like this, admits this thing stinks.

As to the rest of the CFP article, I still don't see your objection. It is delineating a number of dubious ethical issues with Pelosi. It discusses conflict-of-interests for Pelosi with the Hunter'sPoint redevelopment and Paul Pelosi Jr. sitting on the board of the Commission of the Environment which helped clear the way for redevelopment - a redevelopment which profited the Pelosi family's Isolep Enterprises. That is clearly a conflict of interest.

Lennar was granted exclusive redevelopment rights - and Laurence Pelosi is a board member. Not pertinent, Bill?

I would say this is more than heresay. Maybe not exactly smoking gun evidence, but surely the public ought to know, don't you think?

I'm not about planting evidence or lying or anything else; logic is indeed what this website is about. But I stand by what I have said; we have got to stop letting these people choose the times and places of attack. We have plenty of adverse information on them if we choose to pursue it. But the GOP made the decision not to do that a quarter of a century ago, when they lost the government shutdown with Bill Clinton. The media was too strong, or appeared so at any rate. So we had the Karl Rove "duck and cover" strategy all through the Bush years, and, despite Bush being one of the Deep State insiders, he left office with one of the lowest approval ratings in history. That's because he would not fight back.

Trump fights back, which is part of why he is still holding strong with his approval ratings. And it is Trump's tweet which set this whole discussion into motion.

Again, Bill, we're not talking about simple smear. We are just asking questions that they should be answering, as surely as they ask these questions of our side. Only we always answer and nobody holds them to account. Well, it's time we start.

I really do appreciate your viewpoint here. Don't get me wrong; I understand you don't want to become what they have, and I share your concern. I just think we need to look into them with much the same fervor as they are looking into us. At this point, we are no longer engaged in civil politics - that ended during the Obama era when the CIA and FBI were weaponized. The stakes are way too high. This is a war of political extermination, and we're going to wind up like Alexander Kerensky after he let the Bolsheviks off the hook.

11 Going to graduate school was a positive decision for me. I enjoyed the coursework, the presentations, the fellow students, and the professors. And since my company reimbursed 100% of the tuition, the only cost that I had to pay on my own was for books and supplies. Otherwise, I received a free master’s degree. All that I had to invest was my time. мебели София
