St. Louis Mayor wants Gun Control
This from our old friend Tim McNabb:
Missouri has "constitutional
carry" so carrying a firearm does not require a permit. That said, the
only people who will seek a permit, and run the risk of going on a list
of people who will then be targeted to be denied their right to
self-protection
, are those who are NOT the problem.
The "Liberal" Fascists running the city are, if not just a mendacious
lot of crooks, are like drunks who dropped their car keys in the alley,
but are looking for them under the streetlight because the light is
better.

If I'm not mistaken, there's a federal law that stipulates that a federal or state law cannot be overridden at any lower level. And I'm sticking my neck out here, but I will bet the state legislature had to jump through a number of hoops getting that law passed in the first place, so I think it's highly improbably that they are going to go back and gut it just to please a mayor -- and a Black Caucus -- both of whom really ought to know better.

Yeah; Krewson is opening a legal can of worms with this. I really doe think she's that stupid, that she doesn't understand the trouble she could cause the city, which is already broke and bleeding citizens at a ridiculous rate. St. Louis is now smaller than Des Moines or Louisville. The only reason we are still considered a major city is that we have a high suburban population; everyone moves to the 'burbs to get away from the crime and bad schools.
