Suicide rates have been rising in the U.S. - by as much as 25% in the last couple of decades. The cause is a mystery, According to Live Science"

" Though the reasons for that increase are not completely clear, in past research, experts have pointed to an increased sense of isolation among Americans, as well economic factors and a rise in mental illness.

Other pointed to the rise of technology, which has replaced important face-to-face interactions (though some argue technology actually decreases loneliness.

But in the end, all of these explanations are speculative. It's very hard to make broad statements about suicide, said Dr. Katalin Szanto, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, who has published widely on suicide prevention. For instance, it is now the second leading cause of death for people ages 15 to 24 in the U.S., and yet many researchers think aging Baby Boomers will be especially vulnerable to suicide in the coming years, Szanto said."

The article goes on to say that men are the at-risk group (and studiously avoids saying that the rise in male suicide is primarily among white males) but seems incapable of connecting the dots.

This is what white male privilege gets you. The Left has systematically discriminated against white males and younger white men realize they have no future because they are not going to be given any opportunities in favor of women, minorities, immigrants, homosexuals and anyone who can claim some sort of minority status. Meanwhile they are discriminated against in schools, told by teachers they are scum who should be in eternal repentance for being born. Huge amounts of guilt are piled on, for "murdering the planet" through global warming, for mistreatment of blacks and Indians by their forbearers (who acted no differently than did the people they mistreated at the time), for sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, transgenderphobia, triskadecaphobia, and any other phobia" that the liberal can invent. And they are taught that reality can be changed by wishing real hard, and when that fails they are shocked. They aren't able to deal with rejection, with hard knocks because they have been sheltered with "safe spaces" and the like. The question shouldn't be why more young Americans are committing suicide, but why so few of them are.

Meanwhile, the media and entertainment complex have hypersexualized everything, at a time when fewer and fewer women are into men. The women who don't become lesbians outright become fellow travelers thanks to feminism. They are not complementary partners but RIVALS. Dating has become a blood sport, especially on college campuses where any overture by a man can be called sexual assault and get the poor student tossed out of school and branded with a huge scarlet letter.

Meanwhile politics has become a pointless exercise; you get the same policies no matter who you vote for. That was what led to the election of Trump, a desperate desire to break the cycle. But as far as the average person can see Trump isn't getting a whole lot of what the voters wanted done, and the corrupt system survives, another turn of the great wheel.

In short, men have been totally emasculated, forced into a feminine role that Nature and Nature's God never intended. A boy in school will be put on Ritalin or some such drug if he acts like a boy. While the Left is always preaching diversity, they mean accepting the abnormal and the sick. In point of fact, there is no less tolerance for real diversity among any people anywhere than among the Progressive Left. They really believe they can change human nature, and "toxic masculinity" is code for not channeling behavior but issuing a revocation order.

Don't forget, too, that a majority of young people come from either broken homes or from fatherless families. They lack a good support system, the kind that keeps you around.

And the elephant in the room is the war on Christianity. Where once people would turn to Jesus for help when they begin to despair, now we are told we are too cool for Christ, and we are just animals, incapable of reining in our animal lusts. The young in particular are unchurched, and without God to support them they are unmoored, easy prey to the despair that stalks them. The church was the cornerstone of American culture, and the principle support group. Now we don't have much church anymore, nor other support systems (like the Boy, er, Unisex Scouts) and so these younger people have nowhere to turn. I hold a dim view of suicide crisis centers and whatnot; they are cookie cutter operations, using canned speech and pop psychology to help with what is ultimately a spiritual problem.Drugs and self-esteem training can't fix a broken soul.

Of course we have rising suicide rates.

Of course, the article fails to mention any of this, largely because they cannot understand it or are unwilling to admit it. Liberalism is killing people. This is exactly what conservatives warned against when the Left was busy pulling morality and faith out by the roots. Those chickens are now coming home to roost.
