I only just found out that the Lancet is now hosting a revised disclosure of interests from the author of their earlier "consensus" statement that Covid could not be man-made.
In which the author is revealed to have been directly involved in the manufacture of man-made "recombinant" versions of bat coronaviruses.
At least we now have absolute clarity on this point:
"[EcoHealth Alliance's work in China involves].. the production of a small number of recombinant bat coronaviruses to analyse cell entry and other characteristics
Only a small number. How reassuring. Unfortunately, we only needed one
to turn out to be highly contagious and escape containment.
I don't care that they only made a "small number". One was enough.
Apparently it did not dawn on him that this might be a teeny weeny
conflict of interest, when the initial article was published and
promoted.

It needs to be shown plainly that there are limits.
