Our old friend Jed Babbin has an outstanding article at the American Spectator about the Inspector General's report and the astonishing actions of the Deep State.

According to Babbin:

"That brings us to Peter Strzok. Among the many FBI people who evidently abused their power to protect Hillary and investigate the Trump campaign, Strzok stands out. His pro-Clinton and virulent anti-Trump political beliefs are so well-documented elsewhere that I need not even mention them here. From about Dec. 16, 2016 through May 23, 2017 he and his mistress — FBI lawyer Lisa Page — exchanged approximately fifty thousand text messages. (Both are married to other people.) Originally, the FBI claimed that it couldn’t find most of them. Some were later turned over to congressional investigators and more were revealed in the IG report.

Strzok was, during the Clinton investigation and at the beginning of the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign, the FBI’s deputy assistant director for counterintelligence. We – and Congress – don’t know the role he played in the creation of the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign."

And Strzok is STILL employed by the FBI! A man who openly told his mistress he was "not going to allow" Donald Trump to be President.

Here is the kicker:

"We don’t know if Strzok himself ordered the investigation. Did he? One of his texts to Lisa Page says that POTUS — President Obama — wanted to know everything the FBI did on the investigation. One of the Strzok-Page texts reportedly said the White House — Obama’s White House — was "running this,” evidently meaning the Trump-Russia investigation. Did Obama himself order the investigation? What went on between Strzok, his FBI superiors, then-attorney general Loretta Lynch, and Obama?

We — and Congress — don’t know because the FBI has been stonewalling for many months over the HPSCI’s request that Peter Strzok testify before it."

So, President Obama may well be the one who ordered this whole dirty deal - and may well still be leading the "resistance" today.

No wonder the FBI and CIA won't hand documents over; this could go back to the first Black President in American history. No doubt even those who want justice in the DOJ and CIA are afraid to open THAT can of worms.

And the response from the Deep State? When threatened with Contempt of Congress Rod Rosenstein threatened the Committee members with subpeonas and legal charges.

"According to a report by the indispensable Catherine Herridge, quoting a memo sent by the committee’s then-senior counsel for terrorism, Kash Patel, to the House Office of General Counsel, "The DAG [Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein] criticized the Committee for sending our requests in writing and was further critical of the Committee’s request to have DOJ/FBI do the same when responding.” Patel’s memo, as reported by Herridge, went further, saying that Rosenstein went "…so far as to say that if the Committee likes being litigators, then ‘we [DOJ] too [are] litigators, and we will subpoena your records and your emails,’ referring to HPSCI [House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence] and Congress overall.”"

Despite what the media and their Democrat allies try to claim, there is no doubt that the Obama Administration weaponized both the DOJ and the Intelligence Community, and we are now essentially living in a police state.

We are in a Constitutional crisis. The fate of our Republic hinges on what happens with this issue.
