Police Ambush in Tampa

Hundreds of thugs ambushed the Tampa police.

Two Tampa police officers were injured early Saturday after a crowd of hundredssurrounded a group of officersin an "ambush,"the Tampa police chief said.

Officers were responding to a report of shots fired and a possible gunshot victimat an intersection near the Ybor City neighborhood around 1 a.m.,Chief Brian Duggan told reporters Monday. Acrowd of hundreds was at the scene when police arrived.

I fear this isn't going to end until someone dies.

1 I lived in Tampa once, for a year. It was a long time ago -- during the war, in fact. THE War -- WW II. As I said, a long time ago. I'm sure just about everything has changed in that city.

But years later I heard that even then, Ybor City was a place to stay out of.
