People ARE Getting Stupid

People are getting stupider, and the cause appears to be environmental rather than genetic, according to recent research.

"Norwegian researchers analyzed the IQ scores of Norwegian men born between 1962 and 1991 and found that scores increased by almost 3 percentage points each decade for those born between 1962 to 1975 — but then saw a steady decline among those born after 1975.
Similar studies in Denmark, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Finland and Estonia have demonstrated a similar downward trend in IQ scores, said Ole Rogeberg, a senior research fellow at the Ragnar Frisch Center for Economic Research in Norway and co-author of the new study.
"The causes in IQ increases over time and now the decline is due to environmental factors,†said Rogeburg, who believes the change is not due to genetics.
"It’s not that dumb people are having more kids than smart people, to put it crudely. It’s something to do with the environment, because we’re seeing the same differences within families,†he said."

This should surprise no-one. I.Q. testing measures certain specific aspects of intellect, and those are the aspects that are amenable to social and educational factors. Mathematical capabilities, for instance, or language are dependent on early learning. The Progressives have systematically sought to dumb down people in American, Europe, and around the world and we should not be surprised if their campaign has been successful.
Younger people have been dealing with continual social upheaval at a time when educators have stopped teaching facts and critical thinking in favor of emotions and feelings, and at the same time the rise of electronic media has accelerated the scattering of thinking and critical thought. Increasingly people are incapable of concentrating and when they do they are incapable of carrying out any long term chains of logic. First television, then video games, then cable, then computers and now smart phones and social media have deconstructed the minds of so many of our youths. Meanwhile in the schools the teaching of skills that promoted clarity of thought have been dismissed as archaic. Writing, for instance, is rarely taught. Penmanship is another thing dismissed as unnecessary, yet the act of physically writing something out by hand develops not just motor skills but thinking ability as the tactile act provides neural feedbacks. Grammar isn't taught anymore; instead kids are taught to express themselves in their own way. All of this is horribly destructive to the ability to think, hence poor performance on I.Q. tests is evident.
Don't kid yourself; it was planned by the liberals.
Couple that with the way they drug kids for hyperactivity all the time, and how they have reduced the outdoor play, and you are assuring a class of children who are inattentive. That doesn't end when the child finishes school; he or she has now molded their brains and their I.Q. is less than it should be as a result.
Try explaining that to a liberal, though.
