Marching in Lockstep

Bob Clasen

Should you believe our news media? If you watch cable news, you will see the common phenomena where all of the many anchors across the land have the exact same phrase to describe some current event in the news. Who writes this phrase or sentence? Here is a more subtle issue. Some questions are simply never mentioned. Some issues never discussed. They fall into the black cone of silence. Here are intelligent discussions of both phenomenon.

When people worry about the great reset I wonder, why do they need a reset. They are already in control. It is not Democrats or Republicans who run things. It is the money behind them.

It appears that these mega investors own competing companies, so that if one company fails, (and som big companies do fail) the investors will not fail. The aggregation of most money to a few is an example of the Pareto principle. But I wonder, would we be better if politicians controlled this money instead? I an quite sure we would not. A system where smart investors control a system of competing companies to keep them efficient may be the best system that is possible.

Tim adds:

Does everyone remember Journolist? The Media always denied they had central coordination but Journolist was exposed and it was clear they were all in contact with each-other. Anyone who doesn't get on board quickly will find themselves out.

I watched NBC News yesterday evening and the contradictions contained within a single 30 minute news report boggled my mind. Fauci tells us the vaccine plus booster is working fine and will protect against the new Omicron variant, but everything else in the same news report contradicts every part of his statement.

More people have died of Covid this year, with vaccines available, than did last year before the vaccine was introduced. Hospitals are overloaded and staffs exhausted, just as they were last year. The head of the CDC proclaims her fears that it will "get far worse in the weeks ahead."

Professional sports is becoming more and more crippled by players sidelined due to positive Covid tests, despite a plethora of "protocols," vaccinations and frequent testing. The NFL Cleveland Browns, who are 95% vaccinated, have no fewer than 7 team members on the disabled list because they tested positive for Covid.

No few states, California among them, are again requiring masking in public venues even if vaccinated, which suggests to me that the government believes that the vaccine does not work, or at least does not work very well.

All of the above in one evening's news report. Why would the media urge people to get vaccinated after reporting multiple news items that seem to indicate that the vaccines do not work?

3 It's hard to escape the idea that members of the Leftmedia do not listen either to themselves or to their colleagues. Otherwise they wouldn't say all the idiotic stuff they say.

4 Bill, George Orwell called that doublethink; holding two contradictory ideas in your head at the same time and ignoring the contradiction. We see that in spades now.

I was watching the local news yesterday and they were speaking with the health board honcho who said the key to ending this is vaccination. ?????  We're already vaccinated but they want more and THIS TIME it'll work!  It's been proven decisively that this hasn't worked but this guy was saying it'st the key.

How thick do they think we are?

5 They have a narrative they are promoting and they don't always coordinate for sure Dana.
