Lies About White Supremacists and Mass Shootings

Folks are continually harping on the idea of "white supremacists", although few people have actually met one in real life. One of the memes is that "white supremacists" are doing most of the mass murders in the US.

Not true. See the link below. There have been 78 mass murders in the US since 1998. White people are slightly under-represent ed among mass murderers, black people are somewhat over-represente d, and Middle Eastern people are way over-represente d.

In addition, in the 78 shootings, most had no political or racial motives. Only TWO were right-wing extremists/ racially motivated. Six were Islamic extremists. Six were Democrats/ liberals.

About three times as many were killed by pistols as by rifles ... so much for the "assault weapon" meme.

Another interesting fact: of the 696 people killed in the 78 shootings, 677 of them were killed in a "gun free zone", places where guns were forbidden.

So ... why all the hysteria about "right-wing extremists"?

Simple. It gives liberals someone to pin their hatred on.

The False Narrative of White Supremacists Doing Mass Shootings

I wrote about this a while back at American Thinker and later at Canada Free Press. In fact, as a percentage of the population Asians kill more people in rampages than anyone. Whites kill more in terms of numbers solely because whites make up the lion's share of the population. But there is plenty of death to go around. Blacks are usually lumped in with the general crimes as opposed to mass shootings even when they are mass shooting up the joint. And we don't really have good stats for Hispanics who are often listed as white or some variant or the crime is listed as "drug related" or whatnot.
