If They Take Ours We Have to Take Theirs

Detente only works when the other side fears retaliation. Our "champions" refuse to retaliate. It should be made quite plain that we are going to impeach their next president. In fact, we can impeach others from their party. I think Ruth Bader Ginsburg would be a good choice; she is beloved by them. As Sun Tzu said, you seize that which is the enemy holds dear.

Sadly, the GOP will want to "take the high road" and "get back to normal".
Every bullied child with his pants removed and his lunch money gone wind sup there by "taking the high road". It's a recipe for a beating. Sadly, our side is more interested in going along to get along. They want to be tolerated, to make their lobbying dollars and get invited to cocktail parties.

It'd be fun if they'd start talking about it NOW. About what they'd impeach each candidate for. I must say it'd be a stretch to find something to impeach Tulsi for, though.
They could impeach Bloomberg because he'd be thinking of a Constitutional Amendment to be able to run for a third term. They could impeach The Squaw for talking about overthrowing the Electoral College, notwithstanding the First Amendment. Heck, the Left is trying to prevent the Right from talking about anything.

Yep. And as you say, start talking about it NOW. We've got to stop fighting a rearguard defensive war. Strike at their heart, make them defend themselves.
That's been the trouble all along; Trump has had to defend himself because nobody else will, and he can be attacked from multiple directions. He's a good street fighter, but he's being gang assaulted. There needs to be others with skin in the game.
The Republicans don't want to attack. They don't even want to defend.
I noticed a while ago that Mitch McConnell was quietly advising Republicans to run on local issues this election cycle; it means he has no intention of resisting the Democrats' attacks. And he just showed that by announcing the GOP strategy of a quick trial and acquittal. The GOP has a golden opportunity here, to call all sorts of witnesses (like Schiff himself, or Hunter Biden, or whatnot) but are going to call none at all. It will appear to the American People that they are brushing this under the rug. If they would fight it they could actually win votes when people saw what a filthy operation this was. But Mc Daddy is himself an Establishment guy and he would rather watch Trump twist in the wind, even after he is re-elected.
And, as there is no guarantee the GOP will retake the House or even hold the Senate, this will start all over again. The Donkeys will never stop tryin g to impeach Trump as long as they draw breath. They need that breath strangled out of them politically by the GOP. But the GOP is too cowardly to do itl.

You have to wonder just where Mitch's heart is in this. Because he's been doing a good job of strangling bad legislation in the Senate. He even gave himself the nickname "The Grim Reaper," and he's a hero back home for that.

Good point, Dana; McConnell has the skills to do this but simply refuses. It shows he's playing a dirty game with our side.
