In an utterly despicable display, the House Appropriations Committee completely overturned the Trump Administration border policy, essentially nullifying America's ability to stop anyone seeking to enter the United States.
According to The Hill: "The amendment, offered by Rep. David Price passed by voice vote with some opposition during the markup of the Homeland Security appropriations bill for 2019, which is expected to advance tonight.
It would prohibit funds from being used to implement the guidance from the Justice Department.
"The precedent was established in 2014 that those fleeing gang violence and domestic violence would under certain circumstances be eligible for a credible fear claim,†Price said, vowing not to let the "draconian measure†stand. "There’s no question that what Attorney General Sessions has done would close the door almost completely,†he added.
Among the amendment’s supporters were Homeland Security Subcommittee chairman Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kansas), who cited his mother’s work as a social worker for instilling in him a concern for the plight of abused women.
"I believe that should be a factor in an asylum claim, and USCIS should at least be able to look at those issues in an asylum claim,†he said, referring to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services."
End excerpt.
AG Jeff Sessions closed this loophole because it was too easily abused.
Anyone, ANYONE can claim domestic abuse or fear of gang violence. It is absolutely impossible for ICE to verify such a claim, and the internationalist "immigrant advocates" know this and will be telling everyone south of the Border exactly what to say to get refugee status. This de-facto eliminates our entire southern border.
If this makes it to Donald Trump's desk he will have no choice but to veto it.
I would ask what the eh e el el these Republicans are thinking letting this get out of committee, but I have long ago learned that a sizable number of Republicans are more interested in feathering their own nests, and they get plenty of feathers from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, silicon valley, and others who want dirt cheap labor, as well as from those who dream of a New World Order, a world without borders. In point of fact, these Republicans are traitors to their country. They are beyond contemptible.
This was a poison pill by the Open Borders people. This same committee had authorized $5 billion for a border wall, but turned around and pulled this filthy stunt to make the wall a fancy decoration. Also according to the Hill:
"On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee approved the Homeland Security spending bill, which included the $5 billion to build 200 miles of a new physical structure along the southern border.
In 2016, Trump campaigned on building a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico. Last week, the president tweeted his support for the bill when it was first released, personally thanking and endorsing Rep. Kevin Yoder House's B border wall bill a non-starter, says top Senate Dem House panel pushes back against Trump asylum rule on domestic, gang violence MORE (R-Kan.), chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security."
End excerpt.
The Senate is not expected to approve this bill and Donald Trump had vowed to veto any "stopgap measures" sent to his desk.
This is an attempt to embarrass Mr. Trump, force him to veto a bill for border security, and thus make it possible to accuse Trump of playing politics. It is vile.
These people are traitors, traitors to their party and homeland and they belong in Antenora where Dante placed such evildoers.
