The current phase of the Arctic Oscillation is sucking warm water up around Greenland and high pressure over Alaska and Siberia has been actually cooling those places down. No doubt the Gulf Coast Current is being pulled westward away from the british Isles a bit. It's part of the natural cycle, though, and has nothing to do with carbon dioxide. It has happened before.
