Cold water? Or deliberate misdirection?

Dana Mathewson

Could be either. It could also be that the author doesn't have all the information because the military won't give it out.

I report, you decide.

1 That's about what I figured. Reagan wanted to develop lasers or something similar (microwave beamers or particle beams) to knock down missiles at the speed of light, which is a lot faster than the speed of a missile. Bill Clinton killed that with his policy of hitting a bullet with a bullet (no doubt Clinton wanted to kill SDI to make his nuclear freeze buddies happy). It was a far more ambitious project than simply hitting a missile with a beam weapon. All funding went to missiles for defense and away from "star wars" technology. It's too bad.
