Check out Those Jugs!

Timothy Birdnow

Hormones in the "Impossible Whopper" leads to whoppers, all right - big ones - on MEN.

Yes, doctors are saying that high levels of estrogen in the faux burgers are grow breasts on male patrons.

I guess we can take that name "Impossible Whopper" literally.

1 Yikes! Any more reasons to go to Wendy's or Micky D's instead? I haven't set foot in a BK in umpteen years, even before they went solidly into the tank for Hussein Obama. Yes, my pastor keeps telling me there's unhealthy stuff in the burger buns at Micky D's, so I usually go to Wendy's if I need that kind of stuff. BTW, the Butterburger at Carver's is great-tasting, though a mess to eat.

2 Yeah. They are ALL bad for you, of course. If you want to eat healthy you shouldn't go fast food to begin with, I would say.

3 Tim, are ya sayin' do slower food, cook it at home? Good idea! I should have a few recipes at had for our Provender and Potables (or is it the other way around) section, but I admit I've been lazy -- or busy. Actually cooking at home is by far the best. And since this comment is going in on New Year's Eve, and since my bride and I are trying some new stuff tomorrow, I just might have some good stuff to report tomorrow on the cusp of the New Year, for everyone's pleasure.

Stay tuned!

4 Looking forward to it, Dana!

Hope you guys had a nice New Year's Eve! I made margaritas and chili cheese dip. I had a bottle of Moet and Chandon champagne, but when I opened it it was flat as a board and oxydized to boot. Major bummer; it had been a gift and it was a NICE bottle.

I did allow myself my yearly fine cigar on the porch, but by the end of it I was nigh unto a popsicle.

5 Oh, MAN! Bummer on the spoiled champagne! That stuff ain't cheap! It's our bank accounts that are flat, so we normally go for Korbel; Natural if we can get it, otherwise Brut, and that's what we'll have today. Within the past year I've had a couple of problem corks, so I bought a tool that really grabs the cork in a death grip.

I found a recipe for garlic shrimp that uses Thai chilis -- that'll be lunch when Martha gets home from playing morning Mass. If the recipe's a keeper I'll post it.

6 Well, the Moet and Chandon was a gift, so I didn't actually lose anything, but I was REALLY looking forward to popping the cork. Oh well.

Let me know how it comes out, Dana!
