Bite 'em Back in the Lead

Timothy Birdnow

Joe Biden pulls back into the lead, according to Quinnipiac.

There must be panic in the smoke-filled back rooms of the DNC, where they had probably hoped the scandal-plagued gaffe machine would quietly fade away.

I doubt this will last; it's probably a sympathetic reaction to the impeachment hearings, since the Democrats perceive Biden as somehow a victim of Donald Trump. This is likely to go away as the tide of impeachment wanes.

(I'm not saying they won't impeach Trump but that the shock value will wear thin over time, and with it any sympathy for Crazy Joe.)

If Biden wins the nomination he'll be the worst candidate anyone put up since Hillary Clinton, or before that Mitt Romney, or John McCain, or John Kerry...

I really don't think the Democrats can win with a guy like Biden, unless somehow Trump jumps the shark, not an impossibility.

1 I think Biden went back into the lead because Warren told the voters how she is planning to pay for "Medicare for All" and then, when it was obvious that the plan was phony and that in part it used money that was already pledged for other causes, she decided that she isn't going to do "Medicare for All" until her second term.

I personally, am enchanted about the Democratic mantra to demonize, men, anyone over age 30, and white people, and then have two elderly white males as their leading nominees in the primary election.

2 Excellent observations Bill!  I do believe you are right in this in no small part.

3 Just s'posin' Sleepy, Creepy Joe ends up as the nominee, who do you think the Party'll hang around his neck, albatross-style, as his running mate? Remember that for the Leftists to be placated, the gods of Diversity MUST be satisfied.

4 I 'spect it'll be either Cameltoe or Big Hairy Sqwah. Maaayyybeee Buttycall, but they really don't need to cater to the homosexual community. It will probably be a woman, though, and more than likely a minority women, methinks.

5 Well, Kamala's campaign is probably gonna go bust before the convention, so she's a long shot. Big Squaw Spreading Bull may still be alive but do you really see her accepting any Number Two slot, especially behind a guy who would spend half his time on the campaign trail smelling her hair? She'd have to wear a war bonnet to keep him from doing that. Plus the fact that she'd hog too much of the attention from him.

Kammie, maybe -- she'd be grateful for the attention, but would probably scare the heck out of Joe. Might keep him awake, though.

Interesting choices, though.
