Biden: If you like your gas station, you can keep your gas station

It can't be overstated: Trump getting Biden to admit that he will end the oil industry was a seminal moment. It was the perfect confirmation of just how radical, out-of-touch and destructive Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have become.

Let's put this in perspective today. What Biden said, looking at the changes the Electric Vehicles are are bringing IN STAGES, is that Biden thinks the government has no interest in protecting or supporting those currently in the gas driven vehicle industry. That means not only abandoning oilfield workers but also gas station owners and their mechanics who don't know how to fix a Tesla. It also means - as the state of Insanity...errr....California has "ordained," the elimination of all gas powered vehicles by Government Fiat. During the debate Biden also talked about his wanting to have the government build a large nationwide chain of electric vehicle charging stations. Why would we need so many charging stations IF WE WEREN'T GOING TO HAVE THE GOVERNMENT CLOSE ALL THE GAS STATIONS?

So Biden said he wants to force Americans to buy an electric vehicle starting with his first day in office.  I sound ridiculous, you say? Well, Biden has said he wants to eliminate fracking and gas powered cars and oil companies. So where would your neighborhood gas station get its new deliveries of gasoline? Will unicorns deliver them as they pull the Budweiser Clydesdale wagon? The EPA and the Federal Highway agencies could declare tanker trucks of gasoline headed to gas stations to be a safety hazzard on our roads.

You think Biden and the Bigger Government advocates wouldn't do that? Ask your buddies at your local bar or favorite restaurant. Oh wait. Most of them are closed by government decree. So if you are thinking of voting for Biden, just look between the cushions of your couch. I'm sure you'll can find an extra $35,000 or more for a new Tesla.

If you don't have an extra $35,000 or more between the cushions of your couch, you'd probably be better off voting for President Trump.

1 Couldn't agree more Jack! Biden tipped his hand and everyone should now fear him.

IF "Green Energy" was so great why does it need massive subsidies? Biden promised them, but why if they are so wonderful? Despite what the Mr. Big says, oil and gas do not receive subsidies; they have certain tax breaks for exploration and development - but they do not actually have money handed to them like the "green" industries. Wind and solar are just a lot of hot air.

2 Two small problems with California’s mandate for 100% electric vehicles.

It isn’t really a law, in that it was not passed by the legislature. It is an executive order, signed by the dictator governor, Gav Newsome. He has gone so nuts with power over issuing orders and color charts on the Covid deal that he thinks he has become the dictator he dreamed of becoming as a child.

It also does not say where we are going to get the electric power to charge the batteries in those 15 million cars and 10 million trucks, since we cannot keep up with current electric demand.

3 Remember the color chart for the terrorism status a few years back? Well California has one now for the Chinese virus status. The terror chart had one stage that was green. The Chinese virus status chart does not have a green status. Not only that, but the worst status is not red. There is a purple status that is even worse than red. So we can't go green, but we can go worse than red. These California Democrat weenies never fail to astonish me.

4 Bill, doesn't it sometimes seem as if Biden and the others think that electricity just "happens?" Maybe they think that way because (usually) you flip a light switch and the light(s) come on. But I've read (from a trusted source -- just don't ask me what it was) that if you have a street with three Tesla owners on it, and they all try to charge those cars at the same time, there will be problems.

I keep harping on the idea that it takes longer to charge a Tesla than it does to pump a full tank of gas into my Dodge Grand Caravan -- or Tim's Ford F-150. Most of the folks pushing electric cars don't drive, or at least aren't the ones who have to refuel their own cars. So their thinking is skewed.

5 There was a television series a couple of years ago, can't remember the name now, but it was a hook-up between an alcoholic confidence woman and a French chef who was actually a hit man. They kept running for their lives in a Tesla, often with a dead guy in the trunk, and getting in dire straights because they could not find a charging station or because it was taking too long to recharge the car. Cracked me up. I never did figure out why they didn't simply steal a different car.

6 I don't remember that show Bill, but it sounds really funny. Yeah; a Tesla will take hours to charge, I suspect. And in California if the wind isn't blowing there is no juice to charge up.

Newsome is a numbskull, no question.
