GMO Foods

This from Jim Church:

A genetic tweak that targets RNA can grow crops that yield significantly more food and show increased drought tolerance, announced scientists from the University of Chicago, Peking University and Guizhou University.

Tim adds:

It's funny; I wonder how many of those people so jacked up about GMO foods were first in line to GMO their own genome with the vaccine?

I'm rather opposed to GMO crops, not because I fear some sort of Zombie Apocalypse from eating it but because I don't like the fact these seeds are sterile, meaning you have to go to a factory for more. We need to be able to produce crops in an emergency. GMO crops won't allow that (because it means less money for Monsanto and the rest.)

It also could have side effects on the plants we are not aware of at the moment - like making them susceptible to other diseases.

But an increased yield is quite beneficial and so there is certainly room for these crops.

I would be reluctant to take them from the Chinese, though; who knows what they will engineer them to do? Give us all wheat rust, maybe...

Greenland Meteor Crater

This from Scott Snell

In 2018, researchers discovered a large meteor crater (±31. km diameter) beneath the ice of northwest Greenland. The very low amount of erosion indicates that it is relatively new, but because the rate of erosion in the arctic is so low, pinning the (semi-)exact age down is problematic. Best guess is between 11.700 years ago, or the beginning of the Holocene interglacial period, which we currently enjoy, and 2.6 million years ago, at the beginning of the Pleistocene, that period of intensified glaciation that continues to this day. That's a pretty big range

It's also a pretty big crater, about 25 times farther across than the famous Barringer Crater, AKA Meteor Crater, in Arizona, which some of you have probably seen.

The meteorite that caused the Greenland crater was probably in the range of 2 km across. On average such an impact occurs somewhere on the planet ever couple of million years. Something to look forward to!

The large range in estimated age is just another example of the uncertainty in science, which is plentiful and ongoing.

Masking Doesn't Work

This from Willis Eschenbach:

Dr. Anthony Fauci says mandating masks for fully vaccinated Americans is "quite understandable. ” He's full of bovine excrement.

Early on, Japan was feted for not getting COVID because of their mask-wearing culture. They had 96% mask compliance ... then they got the first peak of cases, just like countries that didn't wear masks.

After that, their mask compliance went up to 98% ... and they got the second peak, again just like countries that didn't wear masks.

And Fauci still believes in masks? I certainly hope that the people who are my friends aren't that cataclysmically stupid ... you don't need to follow the science if you just follow your own eyeballs below.

TL;DR version?

MASKS DON'T PREVENT COVID PANDEMICS!

Kerry: 100 Days Left to Stop Climate Change

This from Jim Church:

Kerry at it again, only not 10 years any more, "only 100 days to save the planet" for the next 100 years.. (He sounds like Prince Charles and others about 4 years ago...you know just prior to a previous gathering of hand-wringers and grifters.)

Covid Restrictions like Communism

This from Murray Stewart:

These lockdowns remind of the arguments made by communists. Communism is good they claim. It’s just that it hasn’t been implemented correctly yet. 😂

It’s the same with these lockdowns. Lockdowns work, it’s just that we aren’t implementing them correctly.

Look at the US. There is no difference between the 25 most strict lockdown states and the 25 most anti lockdown.

All this pain, suffering for nothing. And it’s clear they are going to keep the lockdowns until end of August

Frost in Brazil

This from Jim Church

Frost in Brazil. It's been unseasonably cold in South America this winter. In fact Antarctica is colder than the 30 year average and sea ice is building beyond the long term average.

Tempo Brasil is in Maria da Fé.

New dawn literally frozen in Maria da Fe MG ❄️

Masking Makes No Difference

This from Willis Eschenbach:

If you still think that masks and lockdowns help reduce COVID virus deaths, you've been played for a sucker by "Doctor" Fauci and his ilk.

Here's Sweden and the UK. The UK has had draconian masking and lockdown regulations from the beginning right up until today. Sweden has had almost none of either at any time.

But despite that huge difference, the timing of the peaks and the size of the death rates are almost identical.

And please, don't claim it is because Sweden is more rural. The overwhelming majority of Swedes live along the southern coast (because it's warmer, duh, which is why "global warming" is generally a good thing), where population densities are similar to those of the UK.

And if you STILL support masking and lockdowns after seeing these undisputed facts, you're dumber than "Doctor" Fauci and the UK Government combined.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I've had it up to here with this vast governmental over-reach, and with being lectured by fools who have been suckered by false claims of what "the science shows". OPEN YOUR EYES!

The Dangers of the Covid Vaccine

Timothy Birdnow

More people have died over the last month from the vaccine than from Covid. According to the CDC's VAERS website there were 2,043 vaccine deaths in the week prior to July 7 compared to 1,505 COVID-19 deaths.

The VAERS website - a division of the CDC - reports over 6000 deaths from the Covid vaccine. Granted this is self-reported, and the cause of death has not been formally determined to be the vaccine, but 6000 people dying after getting the jab?

Here is an article discussing what the vaccine does to your body.

And here's an article about the death rate from the vaccine compared to other vaccination deaths. It's eye opening.

From the Undercurrents article:

* Each year, more than 165 million Americans get the flu shot. There were 85 reported deaths following influenza vaccination in 2017; 119 deaths in 2018; and 203 deaths in 2019
* Between mid-December 2020 and April 23, 2021, at which point between 95 million and 100 million Americans had received their COVID-19 shots, there were 3,544 reported deaths following COVID vaccination, or about 30 per day
* In just four months, the COVID-19 vaccines have killed more people than all available vaccines combined from mid-1997 until the end of 2013 — a period of 15.5 years
* As of April 23, 2021, VAERS had also received 12,618 reports of serious adverse events. In total, 118,902 adverse event reports had been filed
* In the European Union, the EudraVigilance system had as of April 17, 2021, received 330,218 injury reports after vaccination with one of the four available COVID vaccines, including 7,766 deaths

Dems Block Release of Intel on Wuhan Lab and Covid

This from Steven Chase:

Happening now: DEMS BLOCK RELEASE OF COVID INTEL

Can ANY Democrat explain why they voted unanimously against releasing Intel on the Wuhan Lab's connection to Covid-19?

It passed the Senate in May with unanimous consent — not one senator objected. Not Senators Ted Cruz or Rand Paul, not Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. If those four members can get on board with this bill.....??

Pelosi Rejects GOP Picks for Jan. 6 Commission

Timothy Birdnow

Nancy Pelosi shows she is nothing but a partisan and her "insurrection" investigation committee is a farce.

She rejected two of Kevin McCarthy's picks - Jim Jordan and Jim Banks - because they wouldn't rubber stamp her star chamber's "findings".

From the U.K. Daily Mail:

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy on Wednesday pulled all five of his nominees to the special committee investigating the January 6th MAGA riot after Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected two of them.

Each side accused the other of playing politics with the panel tasked to study the origins and effects of the riot, which resulted in five deaths (editor's note; only one death was from violence, and that was a protester) and damage to historic artifacts in the Capitol.

[...]

Pelosi said in a statement she made her decision based on the 'integrity' of the investigation. As speaker,Pelosi has final say on who sits on the panel.

'With respect for the integrity of the investigation, with an insistence on the truth and with concern about statements made and actions taken by these Members, I must reject the recommendations of Representatives Banks and Jordan to the Select Committee,' Pelosi said in a statement.

'The unprecedented nature of January 6th demands this unprecedented decision,' she added.

Since when has Pelosi or anything the Democrats have done had any integrity?

This is all fake news, another tool to get Trump and stop the rise of the American middle against the fringe that the Democrats have embraced.

No "Superstrain" of Covid

Timothy Birdnow

A world renown virologist says there are no coming "super strains" of Covid.

Who is Racaniello to say? He wrote the book on viruses. Literally. A coauthor of the text, "Principles of Virology,” Racaniello has been researching viruses like polio since the 1970s, and started his own lab in the early 1980s...

"The narrative is screwed up in a way,” says Vincent Racaniello, a professor of microbiology and immunology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. For one, he says, there is only one known strain of the novel coronavirus -- the original one, SARS-CoV-2, first discovered in Wuhan. And, two, there's no evidence so far of a variant that can meaningfully evade vaccines, though there are several variants out there...

While Racaniello appreciates the threat of COVID-19, he believes people have been too narrowly focused on how antibodies respond against the coronavirus’ spike protein – and how some variants have appeared to limit the effectiveness of these antibodies in blocking infection. But that’s not the whole story, he says...

I am not worried at all that this virus is going to out-evolve vaccines. People have been looking at it the wrong way. People have been looking at antibodies. People say, "ah, the variants are less susceptible to antibodies. But, you know what? They are ignoring T cells. It turns out, none of the variants have changes that would impact the ability of the T cells to kill an infected cell...

I just saw an article today that showed that the U.K. variant ... made no difference in the outbreak in the U.K. It made no difference. The people who know, they are not worrying that the vaccines are going to be compromised by a variant. That’s what I can say with certainty.

TheStreet: And for there to be an actual new strain, as opposed to just these variants, it would have to be significantly different, right?

Racaniello: That’s right. It would have to have some substantial biological difference. Just think, there is still just one strain of H.I.V., despite infecting tens of millions of people for 40 years. So, this has been a really bad dialogue."

Harris Says vaxxing is a Christian Duty

Timothy Birdnow

Eenie Meanie Chili Beanie, the Spirits are about to speak!

Kamala Harris tells a church it is our Christian duty to get vaccinated.

Strange; she wasn't so gung- ho when Donald Trump was  driving the Trump vaccine.

In fact Heavenwards Heels Harris flat out said she would have nothing to do with a vaccine if Trump had anything to do with it. So why is she now touting the medicine Mr. Trump made possible?

And I can't find anything in the Bible about taking vaccinations. Nothing, Nada, the null set. But if the Kamel says it's there, it must be!

Actually, she's using liberals favorite passage about loving thy neighbor, the elastic clause of the Bible. Of course she ignores so very many other Biblical admonitions, like "thou shalt not kill" or "thou shalt not commit adultery" or "thou shalt not bear false witness".

Hiding the Truth about the Covid Vaccine

Timothy Birdnow

This was a comment left on a Facebook post about the Covid vaccine:

I've had two AZ shots in order to be able to visit my mother in her seniors' residence. I am covered in rashes, now #13, and here in Canada, the College of Physicians and Surgeons has sent a letter to every doctor forbidding them from questioning or debating any or all of the official measures imposed in response to COVID-19 at the risk of punishment: investigations and disciplinary action. I have seen three different doctors, none of whom will admit that these rashes have ANYTHING at all to do with the vaccine, even though they began to appear two days after my first one AND my second one. The rashes were much less prevalent after my first one but it's clear that my body is having a major reaction to the second one. I can handle the rash and the itching but I want to know WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE MY BODY. None of the doctors I've consulted will touch this with a ten-foot pole. They have shown zero curiosity or interest in the obvious connection between the shots I've had and these rashes. Essentially, our health care system is being weaponized. Ethical doctors who regard the recent statement of the CPSO "to be unethical, anti-science and deeply disturbing" have issued a statement. https://canadianphysicians.org/?fbclid=IwAR3KmvaFxUZbPra-TWiu2sbTr-dNS1y7al1pnObrV3WMGcQZZnrI0XCoO9s#signatures

Governor Pander

This is a statement put out by Missouri State Rep. Brian Seitz:

I’m extremely disappointed in the statement that came out of Governor Mike Parson’s office last night. To say that Critical Race Theory (CRT) isn’t being taught in most Missouri schools, and then in the next sentence use CRT buzzwords like "diversity, equity and inclusion” shows that the Governor’s office hasn’t done enough research into the issue and doesn’t understand how the Left is sneaking the tenets of CRT into our schools.

His last sentence also shows that the voices of thousands of parents begging for action regarding CRT have fallen on deaf ears within his office. These parents have been fighting and imploring their school boards to take action and stop CRT. The response of many school boards across Missouri? Bringing in Dr. LaGarrett King to advise on curriculum. He’s a MIZZOU professor and a CRT disciple.

I also believe in local control, but Governor Parson is hiding behind that slogan as a way to kick the can down the road on an issue that threatens to steamroll our state and our nation. He needs to stop playing politics with our children’s education.

Many local school boards across the state (primarily in the bigger cities, but spreading quickly) are starting to embrace the tenets of CRT. Do they call it that? Of course not, because if you want to insert something like this into curriculum and training, you use nice words like "diversity, equity and inclusion.” The Left has been targeting local school boards for decades in an attempt to control the minds of our youth, and guess what? They are succeeding. This is a fact that Governor Parson is either unaware of, or is purposefully choosing to ignore. Either way, it’s time to cut the crap.

Since he doesn’t seem to understand the urgency, I will put it in terms that might hit home. As a farmer, you don’t wait to secure your farm until the storm is right on top of you. You batten down the hatches and prepare before it gets there. Well, the CRT storm is here, and we are already feeling the first drops of rain.

If the Governor won’t take action now, we in the Legislature must force his hand during the next session. We must pass an airtight bill that has teeth in it and send it to the Governor’s desk. And then, he must act on it. This is the will of the people and this is what’s necessary to protect the future of our state, our country and most importantly our children.

No more political games. No more empty platitudes. No more weakness. It’s time to act now before it is too late.

Proud Boys Sentenced for Burning BLM "Flag"

Timothy Birdnow

Looks like some are more equal than others in this country. BLM has been burning the American flag for a few years now.

Proud Boys leader pleads guilty to burning D.C. church’s Black Lives Matter banner

Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the far-right Proud Boys, pleaded guilty Monday to burning a Black Lives Matter banner that had been stolen from a downtown Washington, D.C., church during a pro-Trump rally.

The 37-year-old Florida man pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court to one count of destruction of property and one count of attempted possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device, according to the Acting U.S. Attorney Channing D. Phillips and Robert J. Contee III, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department.

On Dec. 12, Tarrio and a group of Proud Boys marched through the streets of D.C. in support of the then-president in a precursor to the Jan. 6 insurrection, according to prosecutors. At some point in the evening, some of the group stole the Black Lives Matter banner from the church.

At a nearby intersection, the group burned the banner in the middle of the street, using lighter fluid.

Interesting. They show a photo of him; he doesn't look exactly like your standard Klansmen-style racist to me!

Tarrio was arrested on Jan. 4, two days before the insurrection, when he returned to D.C. from Florida. During his arrest, officers found two high-capacity firearm magazines with the Proud Boys insignia inside his book bag, according to the prosecutors.

He claimed he planned to give the magazines to a "customer” who was also in the District at the same time.

Tarrio faces up to 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine for each charge. He returns for sentencing on Aug. 23.

180 days in jail for burning a banner and having some ammunition without the guns?

We are clearly living in a repressive regime.
