About that Sea Level Rise

Chester McAteer

There is an isle off the coast of Essex, England called Osea, over 2000 years ago the Romans built a tidal road from the mainland of England to the isle of Osea. Today, that same Roman road is used to walk to Osea as it has been for the last 2000 years, but wait, shouldn't it be submerged even at low tide from all the sea level rise, right? The fact is that the sea levels have been rising at a very steady rate since the end of the last ice age, but apparently not as claimed by alarmist types. All around the world there are ancient buildings at Sea level that have the marks of sea levels etched upon them, I guess they didn't get the message that the sea was rising.

At Thermopylae, the famous Hot Gates where the 300 Spartans fought the Persians abutted against the Gulf of Malia, today that battleground is located 5 miles from the Gulf.

Byblos Port is an ancient port in Byblos, Lebanon and is believed by the Lebanese to be oldest port in the world. Around 3000 BC, Byblos Port was the most important timber shipping center in the eastern Mediterranean. It was used by the Phoenicians to ship their local wine, Cedars of Lebanon and other wood to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt to be used in tomb construction and shipbuilding. Today, that Port is still in use. I could go on an on with man-made structures that have been built in or in close proximity to the seas that show no demonstrative rise in sea levels.

BTW Nils-Alex Möner, the former head of paleogeophysics

and geodynamics at Stockholm University, the world's foremost scientific authority on sea level, debunks the idea that the sea is rising at the levels claimed by the CAGW alarmists. He's been at his research for the last 60 years or so.

Tim adds:

Why isn't Venice under water by now? Why isn't half of the Netherlands reclaimed by the sea? I did a search and could find nothing claiming the Dutch had to increase the height of any of their dikes. They would have if sea level were really rising so fast.

I remember when Michael Mann came out with a paper claiming sea level rise in North Carolina. He completely failed to take into account the fact the area he was checking had seen the local river improved with levees, thus causing more erosion in the tidal pools. This is par for the course with these people. We have not seen a single building having to be moved off the beach due to rising water. But that's fake news according to these fact checkers.

Many islands are actually growing in area.

Also, the low-lying Maldives are building no fewer than FIVE new airports to accomodate tourists If the sea is rising so fast why make this investment? That's a lot of money to sink into a sinking land, isn't it? This is political and not physical. BTW; we are now building in flood plains and are blaming global warming when the flood plains, uh, flood.

Covidiotic

Steven Chase

I have not posted a single item about Covid during the last year,
because I was certain that ALL the data was flawed, incorrect or misleading.
Today we learn that Ireland, with 5 million people had more Covid deaths than China with 2 BILLION people. (see 1st comment)

I rest my case.... Two options: The world is insane or I am.

The Impossible Green Dream

This from Roy Spencer

Roger Pielke, Jr. explains that to reach Biden's goal of zero greenhouse gas emissions from the power sector by 2035, at least 10 coal- or natural gas-fired generating stations will have to be shut down *every month* and replaced with... what? Not gonna happen.

Are We at Antebellum Yet?

From Lou Koncsol

American Citizens...Are We at Antebellum?

What do you think about the elitism which has come into existence regarding powerful politicians forming an oligarchy in which their vested power no longer has any real and practical accountability so that Washington, D.C. has become the neo-rule of King George III, and Capitol Hill with its control center of the White House being the new plantation system owning all common folks in America in which our unalienable rights have been woefully violated?

1. It is undeniable that given their political power the vast majority of politicians in federal offices employ their privilege to garner lavish material wealth for their own persons, family members, and corporate donors. This is truth.

2. The power they possess has created an oligarchy of professional politicians uniting with corporate moguls to rule the common people such as we as if we are chattel.

3. These politicians circumvent the very laws they enact while these laws remain wholly binding on us as the general citizenry.

4. These politicians, family members, and staffers do not have to pay back student loans. And, they are given lifetime pensions via the taxes paid by lawful working citizens.

5. These politicians serving on the federal level as well as high positions in state administrations belonging to the Democrat National Party as well as those who are Republican in name only (RINO) are conspiring through the abuse of political power, pseudo-science, control of public education, collusion with big tech companies and particularly mainstream media through anti-Christian, Cultural Marxist tactics to redefine America from a Constitutional Republic into a Statist regime in an unholy tandem of power-crazed politicians and the corporate techno-media conglomerate. It is akin to the beast of the sea and the beast of the land in Revelation 13.

Post Office Spying on Americans

From Willis Eschenbach:

For all you folks who spent four years claiming that President Trump was "actually Hitler", the current Administration of "President" Biden is using the US Post Office to spy on your social media postings ... and I haven't heard even one of you say one damn word about the Biden Police State.

The Postal Service is Running a "Covert Operations Program" that Monitors American's Social Media Posts

Tim adds:

The NSA ran a "chop shop" where they intercepted computers and gadgetry and inserted spy devices into them so they could see what Americans are doing.

Push to Rename Mt. Rainier

Timothy Birdnow

They are trying to erase America one name at a time.

For a while now they have been systematically erasing the Founding Fathers as slave-owning bigots, taking their names off of schools and civic buildings. Now they are going after geographical features.

Having changed Mt. McKinley to Denali, native tribes are now leading a move to change the name of Mt. Rainier.

This is not random and it is not simply people wanting to somehow honor of their own history. This is about erasing the white, Christian America from existence. Make no mistake.

Hiding What They are Teaching

Timothy Birdnow

The Rockwood School District is a rather well-to-do district in the far reaches of St. Louis County. The area's Congressman is a Republican and this is the Republican part of the county. This shouldn't be happening here.

https://defendinged.org/incidents/rockwood-school-district-teachers-receive-email-telling-them-to-hide-lesson-materials-assignments-from-parents/

Seems this school district sent teachers a memo telling them to hide what they have been teaching from parents.

Funny; I rather thought parents were the people funding the school district and as such were the bosses. Now we know these Progressive educrats believe the kids belong to them.

Divide and Conquer

This from Bev Ehlen

The House debated, an amendment offered to restrict schools from teaching the Marxist inspired Critical Race Theory and the America-hating 1619 Project to our youth. Rep. Bailey stood out amongst her peers in standing up for Missouri students.

Rep. Dottie Bailey (R-District 110) said this about the 1619 Project curriculum:

The Marxists knew America would never accept Marxism due to our Capitalist society where anyone can rise from nothing and make an abundant life in America. Their ‘have and have not’ class warfare would not work. Most Americans believe they can have the American dream- the idea that they can transcend their origins through education, hard work, and good citizenship. So instead of class warfare, they chose to separate us in different ways but mainly by race. They have been placing Marxism in our culture since the 1930’s. Cultural Marxism tries to separate Americans on anything; race, gender, political persuasion, creed, religion and now masks….. you name it. They seek to divide us, as it’s the only way to tear down America from within. To control, you have to have everyone fighting so society goes into chaos and then socialism can be adopted as the last resort. We are buying in to this planned separation without even having the knowledge of the past and what the plan has always been.

Listen to Rep. Bailey’s exceptional Floor speech here.

Scaremongering

Richard Cronin

In my lifetime the predictions of world-ending catastrophes have just accumulated. There’s a lot of money and centralized governance in scary stories.

Civil Defense placards on elementary schools to provide shelter for nuclear war. Rachel Carson published "Silent Spring” in 1962. The observations about bird eggs were all cooked up. Paul Ehrlich’s 1968 book "The Population Bomb”. In 1970, Senator Gaylord Nelson moved the first Earth Day confab to April 22 to coincide with Lenin’s birthday. Then there was specter of a coming Ice Age in the 1970s. The 1974 paper on "ozone depletion” won a Nobel Prize for Molina and Rowland (Quick ! Gather up all the old hair spray cans using CFCs !). Killer Bees ! Then we had Y2K.

Until the early 2000s I actually thought that there might be something to Anthropogenic Climate Change. Then I came to the awareness that AGW was the greatest scientific hoax ever, but It didn’t stop there. Covid 19 is the hoax of all hoaxes.

Hermann Goerring is (falsely) attributed with the following statement, although it does ring true:

Re: Control. "It was very easy, it has nothing to do with Nazism, it has something to do with human nature. You can do it in a Nazi, socialist, communist regime, in a monarchy and even in a democracy. The only thing that needs to be done to enslave people is to scare them. If you manage to find a way to scare people, you can make them do what you want.”

Tim adds:

Michael Crichton theorized about this in his novel State of Fear. He rightly saw the modern Progressives as waging an endless fear campaign to keep people in line and to promote their agenda. The universities generate some scary scenario, the media promotes it, and the politicians then implement policies based on it. But it's all phony-balogna plastic banana stuff.

Remember dioxin? Alar? Nuclear winter? The list goes on and on. There is always a new scare coming up. Now it's Covid.

Some of these things perish of their own accord, but others are just too good to let go. Global Warming and now the Covid business are too good to let go. Global Warming has been a generation-long War of the Worlds scare. Covid is looking to be going for a long time too. And both were completely ginned up, fake panic.

Ice Doesn't Lie

James Doogue

Tony Heller shows how US climate records have been adjusted since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris came to office. If you want to see manipulation of data for political purposes, go no further. The disappointing aspect of this, is that activist administrators and researchers are clearly involved, and scientists are not speaking out. To speak out, is to end your career. But don't believe me or Tony Heller. Watch this then check his sources.

The Only Person Killed In Jan 6th Riot Was An Unarmed White Woman By A Capitol Police Officer Who Has Not Been Charged

James Doogue

As I predicted two men who pepper sprayed officer Sicklick will not be charged with murder. The Police officer anointed a martyr for Democracy by House Leader Nancy Pelosi, actually died of a stroke. The medical examiner has ruled out any physiological connection between Sicklick's death and the riots.

Of the other three pro Trump supporters who died at the rally, but didn't enter the Capitol building, and therefore weren't part of any alleged insurrection, two died of heart attack and one related to amphetamine use.

This means the only deadly part of the riot was really caused by the officer who panicked and shot an unarmed female airforce veteran as she jumped through a broken window.

Not exactly the story the mainstream media have been pushing. They pushed the claim that Officer Sicklick's death proved the need to have at a cost of billions, thousands of troops, and fences and gates which may become a permanent structure.

It also kept out any scrutiny by the public of the judiciary. Pland

Biden to Cause Tripling of Electric Costs

This from Frank Lasee:

Electricity prices are going up. Biden’s "clean plan” will at least triple electric rates.

Electricity: it's Wonderfully Affordable but it's no Longer Getting any Cheaper

Tim adds:

One measure of wealth is energy usage. A poor society uses little, a rich society uses a lot. Our standard of living is based on energy usage. Triple the cost of electricity and we'll have to use less, meaning we'll all be poorer. We need to make that plain to the voting public if we are to ever make any headway in this war between luddite socialist utopians and those who want a wealthy and prosperous society.

Malinformed on Climate

Thanks to Jim Church:

Perceptions of Climate Impacts at Odds with Scientific Data

The Global Warming Policy Foundation commissioned Savanta ComRes to survey 2,285 adults. Seventy per cent said they were either ‘very’ or ‘fairly’ concerned about climate change.

They were then asked, ‘To the closest degree, how much has the average global temperature on Earth risen in the last 150 years?’ The choice was 10°C, 5°C or 1°C. Just 21 per cent of respondents gave the correct answer of 1°C, with 35 per cent saying 5°C, and 16 per cent saying 10°C. A quarter said ‘don’t know’.

Asked about mortality from extreme weather events since the 1920s, only nine per cent replied correctly that their number had fallen by 95 per cent (according to data from the Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance, and the international disaster database of the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters). Twelve per cent thought deaths had increased 95 per cent. Forty-two per cent thought they had risen 25 per cent. Nine per cent thought they had not changed and 32 per cent said ‘don’t know’.

In other words the MSM, which is the primary source of information for the public is lying to the public and misinforming them. And it has to be a deliberate calculation on their part because the information is readily available.

Tim adds:

It's the Big Lie. They've trumped doomsday over this for decades now and the average person is too lazy to look this up for themselves - and now has trouble doing so as Google almost completely bans "denier" information despite it's accuracy.

U.N. Says Computers are Sexist

Timothy Birdnow

This is crazy, according to UNICEF:

Digital skills and technology have become invaluable during COVID-19. Yet millions of children, especially girls, have no internet connection or devices at home.

We must scale up our efforts to level the playing field for girls by closing the digital divide and ensuring equitable access to technology.

This shows UNICEF has an ax to grind rather than a logical point to make. They are on this "women are oppressed" kick that won't let them write anything without "women and minorities hardest hit". It's ridiculous on the face of it. I guess around the world computers are designed to lock girls out - or the men in their families stand guard and beat them when they try to use the computer.

Coke Boycott

Timothy Birdnow

On Facebook Larry Purdue posts:

I heard Coke is really struggling after its CEO s stupid, racist remark that people should be less white. I'm hearing about intense conservative backlash over it. I imagine its stockholders are pretty upset with him. Maybe it's time he stepped down before they reverse their original position on the issue. What powerful leverage the American people actually have in this way if we will only get in the habit of utilizing it. And theres more work to do so I say we continue to squeeze Coke till they choke

A man named Larry Brimley replies:

All of that over a comment the CEO made? What about all the people employed by the corporation down to local stores affected by the lose of sales? They don't share his ideology.

I retort:

The children of felons suffer too when we incarcerate their parents.Larry Brinley. Does that mean we stop imprisoning criminals who have children? The fact is the CEO showed his contempt for his customers who are punishing him for it. He IS Coca-Cola while at the helm. Yes, it might hurt some employees, but the fact is the customer has a right to choose not to spend their money on a product produced by someone who sneers at them. Frankly, the employees should seek a new line of work. It's not America's job to be insulted to help make sure someone doesn't lose a job. The free market is all about discipline. Otherwise we may as well become the People's Republic of America. Absolute job security is a socialist thing.

This shows how people no longer can think in a logical manner. The Left has everyone thinking in so collectivist a manner that we are supposed to worry about the fallout of a boycott. Well, who is at fault for that? The guy running the show. And if he says this it illustrates quite plainly what Coke's policies will be towards us.

The Left would never worry about something like this.

Who is at fault if some of these Coke employees lose their jobs? The CEO. Not us. This is the same argument used to say you cannot have a just war; there will be collateral damage, so you can't resist aggression at all. It's foolish. It's wrong. And it guarantees far worse down the road.

Death and Covid

Selwyn Duke

https://www.selwynduke.com/2021/04/americans-are-irrationally-fearful-of-covid-partially-because-weve-become-wimps-about-risk.html

World population did not explode "because people started breeding like rabbits,” American Enterprise Institute scholar Nicholas Eberstadt once noted, "but because they stopped dying like flies.” This truth reflects the reality that for most of history, life was generally tough and often brutal and short, fraught with serious risk. Today, though, we have a bubble-wrap mentality, and this is absolutely part of the reason why too many Americans are treating COVID-19 as if it’s an Omega Man situation.

Tim adds:

When I was a kid nobody ever wore helmeets or knee and elbow pads to ride bicycles. We used to go where we pleased and nobody worried about dangers overmuch. I would leave home at eight a.m. on a Saturday and not come home until dark during the summer. No cell phone and my parents didn't know where I was. Risk was part of life and part of the freedom we enjoyed. Now children are locked up like veal, and nothing is ever unsupervised. I feel sorry for these kids; they are prisoners, and will be for the rest of their days. Institutionaliz
