Consensus: the First Refuge of Scoundrels

"I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks.

Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled.”

The Earth's Pulse

Richard Cronin

The Permian extinction is dated to some 252+ million years ago and scientists trace such great extinctions with extensive volcanism, darkening the skies with ash and acidifying the oceans via SO2 and H2S emitted from submarine volcanoes and hydrothermal vents. Thus the extinction included marine life.

Now we have identified terrestrial pulses which occur on a frequency also coincident with the extinctions.

The Earth has a Pulse: 27.5 Million Year Cycle of Geological Activity Discovered

To the Finland Station

Timothy Birdnow

The persecution of the Church is beginning in the West.

The Federalist has the story:

Rasanen and Pohjola are being charged with "hate speech” for respectively writing and publishing a 24-page 2004 booklet that explains basic Christian theology about sex and marriage, which reserves sex exclusively for within marriage, which can only consist of one man and one woman, for life. The Finnish prosecutor claims centuries-old Christian teachings about sex "incite hatred” and violate legal preferences for government-privileged identity groups.

Writer Rod Dreher pointed outthe witch hunt nature of this prosecution: "Räsänen wrote that pamphlet seven years before LGBT was added to the national hate-speech law as a protected class. She was investigated once before for the pamphlet, and cleared — but now she’s going to undergo another interrogation.”

Rasanen and Pohjola both have adamantly affirmed"the divinely given dignity, value, and human rights of all, including all who identify with the LGBTQ community.” Christian theology teaches that all human beings are precious, as all are made in God’s image and offered eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In advance of the trial, Rasanen and Pohjola have been interrogated by police for hours about their theology. Pohjola told me in the interrogation police treated Christian beliefs as thought crimes. In a statement, Rasanen noted that the police publicly admitted their interpretation of Finland’s law would make publishing the Bible a hate crime.

"It is impossible for me to think that the classical Christian views and the doctrine of the majority of denominations would become illegal. The question here is about the core of Christian faith; how a person gets saved into unity with God and into everlasting life though the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus. Therefore, it is crucial to also talk about the nature of sin,” Rasanen told Dreher. "As we are living in a democratic country, we must be able to disagree and express our disagreement. We have to be able to cope with speech that we feel insults our feelings. Many questions are so debatable and contradictory that we have to have the possibility of discussing. Otherwise the development is towards a totalitarian system, with only one correct view.”

Anyone who doubts Leftism is a religion need only look at this. It is impossible to criticize their faith without facing attacks great and small.

They are coming for all of us.

(The title of this - to the Finland Station - was the name of a book I read in college about the Bolshevik Revolution. The Germans sent Lenin back to Moscow to foment revolution and he passed through Finland to do it. I thought the title was fitting.

Whose Land Did Native Americans Steal Before Europeans Stole It From Them?

Dana Mathewson

The Left has been making a non-stop howl about how "Native Americans" got the shaft from Columbus and just about everybody else who came here. Apart from the fact that the very term "Native American" is misleading -- site proprietor Timothy Birdnow and I were both born here, so we qualify as "Native Americans" even though we have little if any "Indian" blood -- anthropologists have wondered for a long time who the real first inhabitants of the North American continent were, and it's pretty doubtful that the people now called "Native Americans" in the States, and "indigenous peoples" up in Canada, weren't them.

Rick Moran writes this article in PJMedia:

We all know that history is not the left’s favorite subject. Many times, it’s just too inconvenient for their political narratives. Often, history has to be erased or submerged in order to achieve the "greater good” of creating a just and moral society.

In truth, it’s not much better on the right, although generally, the conservative take on American history is more nuanced. Christopher Columbus was an ass — a greedy, cruel, ambitious man who didn’t let anyone stand in his way to achieving riches and power, especially native people. But he was courageous enough to cross an unknown ocean in a rickety ship and with a mutinous crew.

Do his sins outweigh the good he’s done? Not our call. And certainly not the call of biased, cretinous leftists who don’t want to understand Columbus and only use his sins as illustrations in their little morality plays to condemn the entire "Age of Exploration.”

American history did not begin in 1492. There have been human beings residing in North America for at least 20,000 years and probably longer. But the people who crossed the Bering Sea land bridge from Asia to North America during the last Ice Age may not have been the first humans to arrive here. Recent DNA evidence shows that there have been several different migrations to North America with Native American tribes only being the most recent.

And that leads to the inescapable conclusion: the Native Americans who were present on the North American continent when Europeans arrived were not the same Native Americans who arrived 20,000 years ago. DNA evidence tracks the migration of one early American civilization — the Clovis people, so-called because the first tools and weapons were found in Clovis, New Mexico — and reveals that they thrived in both North and South America until about 8500 years ago.

This has been a big debate for some time, that people some 13,500 years ago were making distinct tools that you can find all over the Americas, so-called Clovis Weapons. This is a new style of weaponry: finely crafted, relatively flat spear points no thicker than an envelope, which required unique skills, and therefore stand out in the record.

Something happened, a cultural change or an arrival. For a long time they were seen as the first people. Now, we’re seeing it more as the middle-age arrival in the Ice Age. Where these weapons came from has also been a huge question for archaeologists. Many have been trying to trace them back to the Bering Land Bridge, but the evidence just doesn’t stack up. Others have tried to trace them to an Atlantic arrival by Palaeolithic Europeans around 20,000 years ago.

Any hint that ancient Europeans settled in North America at about the same time as modern Native Americans cannot be countenanced either by Native American tribes or white liberals. For Native Americans, it is a deep insult to their culture to claim that their origins were anywhere else but North America. They reject any migration theories for religious reasons.

The controversy over Kennewick Man shows the lengths that some Native Americans will go to "protect” their culture. A skeleton found in Washington bore some markers of being caucasian. A huge controversy erupted as some Native Americans fought to keep science from unlocking the secrets of the skeleton. After more than a decade of legal wrangling, scientists were allowed to examine the priceless find and the skeleton gave up its secrets. The remains are more closely related to modern Native Americans than to any other living population.

There is also a modern-day political reason for rejecting any hint that Native Americans came from somewhere else.

The idea of coming from somewhere else might threaten the notion that they have primacy on the lands. But, they obviously do because they are coming from these much older stories than anybody else. I look at these stories of arrival and think, "Yeah, they come out of the ground because that is how deep their history goes.” It’s a non-scientific view of the world, but it gives us a window into what it means to be in a place for that long.

So what happened to these older, primitive societies — the Clovis people and others who were clearly present in North and Central America before modern Native Americans? They no doubt had what they considered "their land” to hunt and forage. Who stole it from them and wiped them out?

It’s not a simple question because there are so many holes in our knowledge of early North Americans. There may have been tribal conflicts, and there may have been tribal marriages. The DNA record is silent about land claims, but is that really the point?

It's a good article, and it's found here: https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/rick-moran/2021/11/26/whose-land-did-native-americans-steal-before-europeans-stole-it-from-them-n1536645 I urge you to read the rest of it. It should give you some ammunition the next time you're forced to argue with a leftist about who was here first. BTW, the people who wax eloquently about the "nobility" of the American Indians still don't seem in any hurry to turn their property back over to them.

Skippin Xi

Timothy Birdnow

The World Health Organization skipped over the Greek letter Xi (pronounced Kai) because of it's similarity in spelling to the fearless leader of China.

From Not the Bee:

Numerous reports yesterday appeared to put that "speculation" to rest: the World Health Organization really did forego "Xi" out of deference to Communist China:

Ahhh yes, we wouldn't want to "stigmatize a region." Good thing they take that into consideration with every single variant name, right?

China owns American media and academia. No wonder we look increasingly like Mao's China after the Cultural Revolution.

Biden's Travel Ban Double Standard

Timothy Birdnow

"A wall will not stop the coronavirus.

Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it.

This disease could impact every nation and any person on the planet — and we need a plan to combat it.
— Joe Biden (@Joe Biden)

That was when Donald Trump implemented a travel ban to stop the Wuhan virus.

Now he's issued a travel ban to stop the new strain.

Strange; I guess it was not needed when Trump was in office.

And, despite the fact the vaccine has no impact on this particular strain, Biden says:

For the world community: this news is a reminder that this pandemic will not end until we have global vaccinations. The U.S. has already donated more vaccines to other countries than every other country combined. It is time for other countries to match our speed and generosity.
— President Biden (@President Biden)

So we donated a vaccine that is proving ineffective in preventing the spread of new variants and yet we must get the whole world vaccinated with the vaccine for the previous version, the one that is not fixing the problem.

Fully Vaccinated Carrying New Variant With Many Mutations - It's Time To Stop Repeating The Same Actions Hoping For A Different Outcome

James Doogue

It remains to be seen just how infectious or deadly this latest Covid-19 variant is. (See attached letter). But it's interesting it is being detected in fully vaccinated people.

Wasn't this supposed to be a pandemic of the unvaccinated?

From the UK we learned that fully vaccinated people account for 82% of recent COVID-19 deaths and 66% of hospitalizations in the UK? Yes, that's true. The figures are found in the COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report - Week 43 by the UK Health Security Agency published on October 28, 2021.

The UK population was 68.1% fully vaccinated as of October 30, 2021, according to the UK's coronavirus website. So why are the majority of Covid-19 deaths and hospitalisations still coming from the fully vaccinated?

This isn't novel to the UK either.

Perhaps the vaccines aren't as effective as we were told they are in reducing infections, hospitalisations and deaths? Big surprise there.

What if vaccinations reduce some people's natural ability to fight Covid-19?

What if being vaccinated triggers a worse Covid-19 response after just a slight exposure, where unvaccinated people's natural ability to fight infections work better than the vaccine?

We already know that mRNA vaccines may provide lower immunity to new SARS-CoV-2 variants. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/mrna-vaccines-may-provide-lower-immunity-to-new-sars-cov-2-variants

We also know that RNA viruses, like coronaviruses, are known for their ability to mutate.

With continued widespread infection, the opportunity for the virus to mutate remains high. more...

Arguing with Idiots: Covidiocy Edition II

Timothy Birdnow

I recently had a big fight with a liberal on Facebook. I posted it here.

Well, this dimwit is a glutton for punishment.

Michael Carl says:

Hey, so I can see you continued to obsess over me while I was away enjoying the holiday based on the number of times you mentioned my name. 😂 That really warms my heart.

Okay, so I obviously don’t have as much time on my hands as you do, so I’ll be as brief as possible. This is a reply to your comment that begins with "yawn,” FYI, since it’s getting nearly impossible to keep track of your endless yammering.

Let me start out by saying that no less than four of the links you provided are viewpoints from the same person—former prosecutor Andrew McCarthy. You used the first link to buttress your opinion that the Steele "dossier” was the origin of the FBI’s investigation back in 2016, but even McCarthy does’t go that far in the article. All he does is try to concoct a theory based solely on innuendo and then tries to discredit certain individuals because it wasn’t explicitly stated what Russia planned to do with the emails from Clinton that they allegedly had in their possession, even though that’s blatantly obvious to anyone who has even a passing understand of kompromat. It also casts aspersions based on a bizarre distinction between use of the term "damaging email” vs "damaging information.” Okay. That’s all? Whew. So while the rest of us marvel at all the many ways in which Trump bent his party and country to the will of Putin/Russia for his own benefit, you’re still over there complaining about dotted i’s and crossed t’s. This, during a time when Trump, after his party nomination was official, removed the Republican policy platform that had been staunchly opposed to Russia, to the astonishment of Republicans and Democrats alike (then later tried to tie the congressionally approved aid to Ukraine to a political favor in an extortion scheme that led to his impeachment). He also echoed bizarre Russian talking points periodically, like slamming Montenegro as they were trying to join the EU and NATO (why would any American not want that??? And I’d wager a lot of money that even now Trump couldn’t point to Montenegro on a world map)

https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-ap-top-news-international-news-europe-montenegro-da02d7a9e4964bf3a0e73bb708eacbc6

Not for nothing, Montenegro is a country where Russia tried to stage a failed coup attempt in 2016. Coincidence? Trump also aggressively pushed the president of Montenegro while on stage with other world leaders at a summit.

https://youtu.be/vIdrTSjzGKY

Trump also echoed a bizarre bit of Russian propaganda about the reason why Russia invaded Afghanistan in 1979 was because they were sending terrorists into Russia, which was utter bullsh*t. You’ll probably say it’s not that big a deal, but ask yourself, why would he say that?

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/423840-wsj-blasts-trump-for-pushing-utterly-false-narrative-defending-russian

We also now know that Trump lied throughout the summer of 2016 when he said he had nothing to do with Russia, but he had a Trump Tower Moscow deal in the works the entire time. Yeah, no conflict of interest there. Maybe that’s some information the public could’ve used in deciding how to vote in November. He slow-walked sanctions against Russia for their election interference until congress finally had to tap him on the shoulder to remind him of that obligation.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-russia-sanctions-idUSKBN1FI2V7

Another McCarthy article you linked discussed the FISA situation. And while you and I can agree that it was the reauthorization of the Carter Paige FISA that was problematic, the initial applications were just. And I’ll share just one of the rebuttals to McCarthy here by Daniel Goldman who acquitted himself very well as one of the impeachment lawyers for Trump’s first impeachment:

https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/fbi-wouldve-been-derelict-not-use-steele-dossier-carter-page-fisa-warrant

As for Manafort, holy hell. You offer a defense of him that comes from his own lawyer?? I mean my god. How morally bankrupt must a person be to actually try to defend someone who shared sensitive polling data from the biggest battleground states to a Russian agent (confirmed by Senate investigation) in an attempt to be "made whole” from a debt to a Russian oligarch. That’s what you’re doing, saying nothing of the other charges brought up against him. Our founding fathers worried immensely about foreign influence in our elections, lest we end up with leaders who hold other interests higher than what’s best for our country.

Here’s another resource of how Trump instituted numerous Russia-friendly strategies early on (article is from 2018):

https://www.justsecurity.org/58108/timeline-trumps-acts-accommodation-engagement-russia/

But wait, there’s more! The money laundering done by Russian oligarchs via the purchase of Trump properties should’ve disqualified him as a reasonable candidate from the start. Is this what Eric was talking about when he said that they get all the money they need from Russia? Many other articles available about this topic if you happen to not like this particular source. 😂

https://newrepublic.com/article/143586/trumps-russian-laundromat-trump-tower-luxury-high-rises-dirty-money-international-crime-syndicate

And I can’t believe you actually brought up Uranium One—a deal that needed t to be signed off on by something like 13 different department heads—not just Hillary—and has been thoroughly debunked as being anything nefarious. This exposes you as much as anything.

And yes, Biden absolutely did brag about demanding that Ukrainian prosecutor be fired. He did so specifically because that prosecutor was NOT doing his job and was instead turning a blind eye to obvious corruption. Again, widely reported. Try to keep up. For some reason you and your ilk can’t grasp the most basic details. Actually, let me rephrase that. You’re perfectly capable of grasping the most basic details, but you choose to amplify the incorrect conclusions because you’re a hopelessly partisan hack. And so now people like me have to spend time going around and correcting you as much as we can so that other readers won’t be swayed by your falsehoods and misrepresentations.

The next time you’re temped to engage in a political debate on FB, just copy and paste that super-long comment you made from earlier in this thread where you retread all the right-wing conspiracy minded talking points in one fell swoop. Lead with that one and then everyone can just laugh you off from the start and not have to waste time actually engaging with someone who is so willingly divorced from reality. The rest of humanity will thank you.

The Circle of the Earth

Timothy Birdnow

"It is he that sits on the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers"

Isaiah 40:22

The Book of Isaiah was written between 700 and 740 B.C. The Greeks came up with this idea of a round Earth around 500 B.C. so the ancient Hebrews knew of it for two hundred years prior. The Greeks quite possibly got the idea from the Hebrews (with whom they had some contact. The Philistines were probably cousins of the Greeks.)

The Greeks determined this by first observing that the mast of a ship remained visible on the horizon after the ship itself couldn't be seen. That suggested the ship was moving over a curve. But the real clincher was the "stick-shadow" experiment by Eratosthenes. Pythagoras had first proposed the theory based on the Earth's shadow during lunar eclipses. Eratosthenes took a stick and stuck it in the ground. and stuck sticks of the same size in other locations. He noted that at high noon the stick he stuck in the ground did not cast a shadow - but one put in the ground 500 miles north did. He then used the differences in the shadow angles to calculate the circumference of the Earth. But, as I pointed out, the Hebrews understood this before any of the Greeks. .

There has been a persistent belief that people thought the world was flat until Columbus. That is not true. If you look at the Medieval Globus Cruciger it is a cross on top of a globe - and dates back to the Middle Ages, and that was borrowed from a pagan symbol in the old Roman Empire dating back to the fourth century.

As for Columbus, the argument wasn't that the world was flat and Columbus said it was round, but rather the size of the world, which Columbus mistakenly estimated at about half the size it actually is, in contradiction to the scholars of the time. Nobody thought you could make so long a sea voyage as would be necessary.

The idea that Columbus argued the world was round was a lie invented by an atheist named Jean Antoine Letronne who put it into a school textbook during the 19th century to make the old Christian world appear superstitious and dim-witted. It worked. He was using a rather vague statement made by the writer Washington Irving to justify the claim. Irving said in one of his stories that Columbus proved the world was round in contradiction to what people thought. Latronne took this and ran with it.

It has become one of the most enduring myths of the last few centuries. .

Where are All the Other Covid Variants?

John Lees asks:

So, the latest Covid variant is called Omicron. What happened to Epsilon, Theta, Zeta etc?
Didn't we just skip half the Greek alphabet?

Tim replies:

I was wondering that myself. This must mean they have examples of the others. How? That makes it fairly obvious they have LAB samples, which means they know this thing is artificial. Which means....

This appears increasingly to be a great crime.

Why Studies on Covid Vaccine Efficacy are Wrong

Bill H.

Well, the big fail in studies on the efficacy of the Covid vaccine is that it was unknown how many of the test subjects were exposed to the virus. You cannot possibly calculate efficacy when you do not know the degree of exposure. How many of those who were not infected were protected by the vaccine, and how many simply never came in contact with the virus? Idiots.

The only valid test for efficacy is to vaccinate one group and not the other, and then deliberately infect, positively and actively infect, both groups. Then compare the groups as to the number of subjects who were affected by the infection – that is, those who were made sick versus those who shrugged it off.

Obviously, this test is done on animals with immune systems similar to that of humans, and it has never been done for the coronavirus vaccine. They have no idea what the efficacy rate is, and are coming up with numbers my methods similar to voodoo doctors throwing bones.

Rebellion Against Alien ideology - then aned now

Great observations from a man named Roger Froikin

A VERY HAPPY HANUKAH

חג חנוכה שמח

We are taught these days that Hanukah is about freedom. We picture the Maccabees as freedom fighters fighting against the power of an empire that has been subjugating them. We picture them to be like the partisans in the forests of Europe resisting the Nazis, or the liberation movements of the third world throwing off the burden of imperialism.

But there are two parts of the story that are generally ignored, two parts that we do not teach our children and maybe do not want to think about at all.

You see, the rebellion of the Maccabees was not just against an occupying army or an imperialistic power.

It was also, more importantly, a rebellion against an alien ideology that was being imposed, and it was also a rebellion against the so-called Jewish leadership of the day that aided and abetted the imperialist effort to culturally assimilate the Jewish Nation.

The alien Greek-Syrian rulers imposed their will through their Jewish puppets to whom they gave positions and power and money, including even a puppet priesthood in the Temple in Jerusalem. The story makes it clear that victory to the rebels meant the opportunity to cleanse the Temple of corruption that was imposed by these so-called Jewish leaders who identified their interests more with the foreign rulers than with their own people, the JINO’s (the Jews in name only), of the time, who were more than willing to dilute and even ignore Jewish ethnic, political and religious interests to conform to the demands and interests of the powerful, whether for personal gain, or for what they saw as the safety provided by "fitting in” with the powerful.

You see, little in human nature is different from era to era. Just as today, people saw two extremes. They saw one class of Jews who gained favor with the rulers by conforming to their ways and in exchange being called "leaders”, given prestigious positions, and assumed to be the spokesmen for all Jews, and who insisted they defined Judaism (though it was a matter of conforming to Hellenistic values)

and at the other end of the spectrum, some Jewish groups that isolated themselves and became religious cults, claiming to define Judaism by their cult standards, rejecting the world, leaving the masses of the Jewish nation with no real direction to go.

The Maccabees came from that mass in the middle, wanting direction, objecting to the leaders that represented the rulers and not the people They fought and won.

All Jews today exist as Jews because of what they did, not because of what the assimilated leaders did, and not because of what the isolation oriented sects did, but because the Maccabees prevailed at least for a while.

So, when we celebrate Hanukah today, lighting the candles, singing the songs, are we Maccabees or not? Are those of us in the Diaspora willing to stop allowing so-called Jewish leaders, people who are JINOs, to represent us and claim to speak for us? Are those of us in Medinat Yisrael going to allow those that look to Europe for their standards and values, determine our culture? Are we going to allow isolationist cults to define Judaism? Or are we going to be Maccabees and fight for a free Jewish nation committed to its history and Torah, to its own values and standards, to its uniqueness?

So celebrate the event of 2200 years ago with food and games and fun, and when you light those candles and sing the songs, remember to be a Maccabee and remember what they really fought for, not only against a foreign enemy but for Jewish cultural integrity, for the values taught by Torah.

You know, our sages warned against us adopting Hellenistic thought, which had less to do with the common belief that it was an emphasis on sports rather than learning. They were worried that Judaism would be infected by the Hellenistic view of man just being a subject of fate and in need of a hero, (the basis of Christian thought) rather than the Jewish emphasis on responsible behavior.

Because sadly, when you look around and even hear sermons of many Rabbis, and when you see who the world looks at as "Jewish leaders”, and when you see Judaism reduced to clothing and ritual by some, have the Maccabees really won yet?

Or we can be reminded that Torah and Judaism are Revolution toward civilized standards and values. The real revolution. Make lighting the candles start something and really mean something.

The Rule of Lie

"And therein we find, neglected by us, the simplest, the most accessible key to our liberation: a personal nonparticipatio n in lies! Even if all is covered by lies, even if all is under their rule, let us resist in the smallest way: Let their rule hold not through me!

And this is the way to break out of the imaginary encirclement of our inertness, the easiest way for us and the most devastating for the lies. For when people renounce lies, lies simply cease to exist. Like parasites, they can only survive when attached to a person.

We are not called upon to step out onto the square and shout out the truth, to say out loud what we think—this is scary, we are not ready. But let us at least refuse to say what we do not think!"

The Circle that Sits on Nothing

Timothy Birdnow

In a discussion about the myth that people thought the world was flat before Columbus, it was pointed out that the Book of Isaiah mentions the Earth being a circle that sits on nothing.

I chimed in:

The Book of Isaiah was written between 700 and 740 B.C. The Greeks came up with this idea of a round Earth around 500 B.C. so the ancient Hebrews knew of it for two hundred years prior. The Greeks quite possibly got the idea from the Hebrews (with whom they had some contact. The Phillisstines were probably cousins of the Greeks.) Homosexualizing Santa

Timothy Birdnow

The Left is deviant. There is nothing else to be said about them. They are vile and depraved and destructive, vile and hate anything that is good or wholesome or pure.

That is why they have now targeted Santa (or the Norwegian equivalent) in a commercial for the post office.

They made Santa into a homosexual.

The legend of Santa has no sexuality in it. Yes, he is married, but Mrs. Claus rarely enters into the picture. Santa is a kindly giver and personifies the spirit of Christmas. He's an archetype of Jesus, a person who gives entirely of himself. He is magical, generous, and loves.

He is not supposed to represent the modern carnal spirit.

And he's intended to make little children happy.

Turning him into a sodomite is plain evil.

But it is par for the course for the modern liberals. Liberalism was and is evil.

Vaccines Approved Based On Statistical Analysis Which Would Fail 'Statistics 101'

When the new Covid-19 vaccines were approved by health authorities around the world, (e.g. FDA in the US, TGA in Australia), we were excitedly told the vaccines, mostly with two doses, had an efficacy rate of between 90% and 95%.

They admitted they didn't know how long 'immunity' lasted, but thought it possible there may need to be a booster after say 12 months, and perhaps every 12 months.

It's important to understand the definition of 'efficacy'. It is the rate at which the disease is blocked in the vaccinated group, compared to the unvaccinated group, in a controlled study with randomised selection of subjects, and exclusion of any factors which may adversely influence the results.

In the simplest terms, for laypersons if 100% of unvaccinated subjects caught the disease and only 5% of vaccinated subjects, then the vaccines efficacy rate would be 95%. In their study, Pfizer says it recorded 170 covid-19 cases (in 44,000 volunteers), with a remarkable split: 162 in the placebo group versus just 8 in the vaccine group.

As I and many others pointed out given the studies were done over a period of months, not years, we couldn't rightly draw any sound conclusions from this data. Certainly not like what we were being told. Get vaccinated because it will prevent you from becoming infected and spreading the disease.

Importantly the study told us nothing about the vaccine’s ability to save lives, nor the ability to prevent infection over any decent period, nor the efficacy in important subgroups (e.g. frail elderly).

The results reflected a time point relatively soon after vaccination, and we knew nothing about vaccine performance at 3, 6, or 12 months, nor any medium or long term adverse effects.

Also missing from the group studied were children, pregnant women and a range of other subgroups.

Regardless, our politicians and health authorities were keen to launch mass vaccination programs having deliberately dismissed any other options including prophylaxis and treatments which were being used with reported success around the globe.

Anyone who suggested any combination of treatments such as vitamin D, zinc, hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine, antibiotics, ivermectin etc, were dismissed as quacks, anti-vaxers or worst.

It seemed at least in much of the world, it had been predetermined that mass vaccination was the only way out of the pandemic.

What we know now is that the efficacy of vaccines is significantly lower than 95% in the real world application. We now know that whatever the efficacy, it wanes very quickly, so that within 3 to 6 months immunity is on par with an unvaccinated person and a third shot is needed.

In fact it's worse than that, because in some of the most vaccinated places in the world, infection rates are spiking.

A study published Sept. 30, in the peer-reviewed European Journal of Epidemiology Vaccines found "no discernible relationship” between the percentage of population fully vaccinated and new COVID cases.

The study found the most fully vaccinated nations had the highest number of new COVID cases, based on the researchers’ analysis of emerging data during a seven-day period in September. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10654-021-00808-7

The authors said the sole reliance on vaccination as a primary strategy to mitigate COVID-19 and its adverse consequences "needs to be re-examined,” especially considering the Delta (B.1.617.2) variant and the likelihood of future variants.

They wrote:

"Other pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions may need to be put in place alongside increasing vaccination rates. Such course correction, especially with regards to the policy narrative, becomes paramount with emerging scientific evidence on real-world effectiveness of the vaccines.”

The ability for vaccines to keep people out of hospital, or from dying is questionable too. It's generally agreed that the Delta variant is more infectious, but less deadly, which might be the only reason why severe cases and death rates have fallen.

None of this would be a surprise, had we studied the published results of vaccine trials as closely as Peter Doshi as explained in the linked article. 'Pfizer and Moderna’s "95% effective” vaccines—we need more details and the raw data'. https://blogs.bmj.com/bmj/2021/01/04/peter-doshi-pfizer-and-modernas-95-effective-vaccines-we-need-more-details-and-the-raw-data/

We were sent along this mass vaccination path which is at best, not working, and at worse, placing healthy people in unnecessary danger of adverse vaccine reactions. This occured through either incompetence, fraud, or as a pre-determined strategy, or some combination of the three.

Here are some key points raised by Doshi just about the Pfizer trials which should not have allowed them to claim a 95% efficacy rate:

- The reported 170 Covid-19 positive cases numbers in the Pfizer study were dwarfed by a category of disease called "suspected covid-19”—those with symptomatic covid-19 that were not PCR confirmed. According to FDA’s report on Pfizer’s vaccine, there were "3410 total cases of suspected, but unconfirmed covid-19 in the overall study population, 1594 occurred in the vaccine group vs. 1816 in the placebo group.”

With 20 times more suspected than confirmed cases, this category of disease cannot be ignored simply because there was no positive PCR test result. But it was for the purpose of calculating efficacy. Madness!

Had those numbers been included, the official efficacy rate for the Pfizer vaccine would have fallen below 50%.

- The Pfizer report should have done an analysis of severe disease irrespective of etiologic agent—namely, rates of hospitalizations, ICU cases, and deaths amongst trial participants, as it is the only way to assess the vaccines’ real ability to take the edge off the pandemic.

'There is a clear need for data to answer these questions, but Pfizer’s 92-page report didn’t mention the 3410 "suspected covid-19” cases. Nor did its publication in the New England Journal of Medicine. Nor did any of the reports on Moderna’s vaccine. The only source that appears to have reported it is FDA’s review of Pfizer’s vaccine.'

- Another great concern regarding Pfizer's report on efficacy is also found not in their 93 page report, but the FDA's report - 371 individuals excluded from the efficacy analysis for "important protocol deviations on or prior to 7 days after Dose 2.” What is concerning is the imbalance between randomized groups in the number of these excluded individuals: 311 from the vaccine group vs 60 on placebo.

What if the vaccine participants were feeling ill, so took some medication? That would have placed them outside the trials 'controls', so they were dropped from the study. They may have actually had Covid-19.

'What were these protocol deviations in Pfizer’s study, and why were there five times more participants excluded in the vaccine group? The FDA report doesn’t say, and these exclusions are difficult to even spot in Pfizer’s report and journal publication.'

What Peter Doshi points out is that had the vaccine study results been more critically analysed by health authorities and made public by a critical media, the public would not have acquiesced to a mass vaccine mandate the way we have done.

Why were such amateurish vaccine study reports allowed to dictate the global response to the pandemic?

Lincoln's Thanksgiving Proclamation

Abraham Lincoln's Thanksgiving Proclamation:

Washington, D.C.
October 3, 1863

By the President of the United States of America.

A Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequalled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defence, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the United States the Eighty-eighth.

By the President: Abraham Lincoln

William H. Seward,
Secretary of State
