The Hungry Chinese

Timothy Birdnow

This shows China has major vulnerabilities

. And that China is the world's main exploiter.

"According to the report, Six Chinese supertrawlers have arrived in the country, capable of taking over 12,000 tonnes of fish a year - nearly twice the nation's sustainable catch”....
"The shrimp fishery in Liberia, based mainly on P. notialis, P. Atlantica, P. longirostris, P. kerathurus, and P. monodon was one of the first successfully established in West Africa. An economic analysis of the fishery undertaken by the International Finance Corporation in 2015 suggests optimal catch rates per vessel is 70 tons of shrimp per season, for vessels of 350 hp.”

The ability to produce enough food is critical to maintaining an industrial economy. Japan concentrated on food production first when they industrialized, and it worked. Other nations aimed for industry first and failed. As long as China can stay ahead of starvation they will pose a threat, but how long will that be? If we don't prop them up they will eventually implode, in my humble opinion.

How Marxism Infiltrated our Universities

Timothy Birdnow

Here is a good article about how Marxism infiltrated American universities even while the Evil Empire was collapsing.

This is good; I won't excerpt it. Suffice it to say the Marxists adapted, switching to the liberal arts from economics and seduced a generation with "intersectionality" and "social justice" and other crackpoint Bolshevik ideas.

Wexit and the War on British Independence

Timothy Birdnow

Rumblings of secession - in Wales!

Wales POLL: As independence campaign surges, can Wales REALLY go it alone?

The Welch already have undue influence in the United Kingdom.

And why wouldn't they want out of Britain? It is being overrun by aliens, particularly from the Middle East and subsaharan Africa. And the Ruling Class in Britain is desperate to maintain the E.U. ties that gives them power.

Here is another U.K. Express article explaining the current blow up in Britain over Brexit. The powers that be are determined to keep Britain under the thumb of the Eurocrats.

From the article:

The Bill (The Internal Markets Bill), introduced on September 9, seeks to transfer powers from the European Union to the UK at the end of the transition period.

The legislation will allow the UK Government to "provide financial assistance to Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland with new powers to spend taxpayers’ money previously administered by the EU”.

One of the main aims of the legislation is to empower UK ministers to pass regulations, specifically regarding trade and state aid.

The bill aims to create common rules that apply across the whole of the UK which essentially replaces the EU's role as the ultimate arbiter of most trade policies.

The legislation outlines how ministers could breach international law when passing regulations, such as what has been already outlined in the Withdrawal Agreement under what is known as the Northern Ireland protocol.

The 58-page document makes clear the UK would be empowered to override parts of the EU’s legal divorce bill which came into effect on January 31, 2020.

The ability to regulate and tax are the very definition of an independent nation. If Brussels continues to have that power Britain is not in any way independent; there is no Brexit. It is merely a semi-autonomous province of the E.U., like Hong Kong was to China. We know what just happened to Hong Kong.

So what do they mean by "breaking international law"? They mean altering the treaty with Brussels. In other words, a hard Brexit.

The fact is, Boris Johnson knows the soft Brexit is no independence at all and in a few years they will wind up back in the swamp of Europe.

I would point out that this irrational fear of Europe boycotting the British is poppycock (to borrow a phrase from the Limeys); the E.U. needs Britain at least as much as Britain needs the E.U. The E.U. has been playing hard-ball in the negotiations because they know there are a lot of Quizzlings in the British government who will back them up.

Napoleon tried boycotting Britain, and so did the Germans. It has never worked, because you can't strangle a maritime power that way; they can just go and find new markets. Britain has the whole of it's commonwealth; Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Guyana, Belize, Jamaica, etc. And the U.S. is a strong trading partner. The E.U. has more to fear from a bad divorce.

The whole Brexit deal reminds me of the movie "War of the Roses". As was asked "how do you make someone stay when you want them to leave and how do you make them go when they refuse?" In that movie Michael Douglass and Kathleen Turner kill each-other in the end. I doubt it will come to that.

But it is obviously a marriage made in Hell and the sooner it is severed cleanly the better it will be.

But it is the lack of decisiveness that is making parts of the U.K. skittish. Scotland has always been independent-minded and while they voted against their national version of Brexit, they do oppose leaving the modern Holy Roman Empire and are not happy about Brexit. The Irish weren't pleased either. Why? It empowers the English; the E.U. offered a sense of decentralization of power to the minority countries of the United Kingdom. That the centralized Europe was itself a worse tyrant than the English didn't matter to people traditionally oppressed by their English neighbors. Britain is not a single nation any more than is the U.S. WE had the good sense to create individual states which were supposed to be semi-autonomous. Of course now we are an imperium. Britain is likewise, one ruled by people with more in common with the wealthy aristocrats of Europe than with the shopkeepers and factory workers and coal miners.

And those wealthy elites have systematically dismantled the traditional life of the proletariate. Through massive immigration Britain is now a polyglot multicultural empire and the sense of nationhood is going the way of the Dodo. Many outside of London want to put a stop to it while they still can.

This is the dream of the Establishment around the globe; an anschluss between peoples and nations and tongues and religions, a multicultural paradise ruled by theirs truly. Like Nimrod of the Book of Genesis, they seek to "bake bricks" and make everyone part of their world empire. We know what happened at Babel.

Brexit cannot be allowed to happen. Nor can the U.S. be allowed to restore itself. We are about to witness a horrible spasm by these would-be demigods.

Ex-Royals to Make BLM Movie

Timothy Birdnow

The Royal Pain Princess and her feckless Royal Twit of the Year are planning to make a Black Lives Matter movie as part of a Netflix deal to keep them rich and living in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

From the article:

Whilst the exact figure hasn’t been released Meghan and Harry’s Netflix deal has been estimated to be worth $150million (£120million).

According to the Daily Mirror Meghan is keen to produce a film about Patrisse Cullors, one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter.

The prominent activist has reportedly "hugely inspired” the Duchess.

I will say this; the British Monarchy dodged a bullet when they kicked the reverse Lady Macbeth out of the Royal Family. And that beta male she is walking all over couldn't rule an ant farm.

Support Black Lives Matter - a revolutionary group - and how long before it comes for Harry's family? They are, after all, the ultimate in white privilege.

"Let 'Em Die!"

This from Joseph Bast:

Protesters at the hospital shouting "let them die”? This is beyond the pale... way, way beyond.

Compton ambush: $100G reward offered for information on gunman as manhunt for suspect continues

Shortly after the shooting, police were faced with protests at the entrance to the hospital where the injured deputies were being treated. A series of tweets from the LA County Sheriffs describes how demonstrators were "blocking the entrance & exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM” and yelling, "We hope they die."

A word from Tim:

The article shows why they are blocking the hospital entrance and shouting "we hope they die!":

"There is no rhyme or reason to it; it is an act of a coward,” (Sheriff Alex) Villanueva reportedly said. "Obviously tensions were running high in the neighborhood with the deputy-involved shooting. But there is no nexus to it at this time.
We are chasing all leads.”

In my best Gomer Pyle voice "Well Gooolllllleeee!"

This boob of a sheriff is qualifying and making subtle excuses. No wonder the thugs feel they can try to murder cops with impunity. The Chief doesn't have their backs, or at least isn't strong.

Strength matters. This sort of thing doesn't happen when the police act like police and don't allow criminals to run roughshod. But the Sheriff here seems to have a certain amount of sympathy for BLM. He should never have qualified his statement. Instead he should have said "we're coming for you!"

Anybody who remembers their youth should remember the schoolyard bully picked on the kids who didn't want to fight back.

Pelosi Ditches Science, Blames 'Angry' 'Mother Earth' For California's Wildfires

Dana Mathewson

Hey, waitaminute! I thought the Donkeys were the Party of Science! Oh, wait, that was only when they could say they were more "science-y" than the President. But apparently they can't find a way to blame the wildfires in the West on him.

So who do they blame it on? Or what?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) claims to love science when it’s convenient. She routinely scolds President Trump over coronavirus science despite the fact that Dr. Fauci and others on the president’s COVID team say he has always followed the science on it.

Pelosi also claims the science is on her side when it comes to climate. So why, then, did she toss out the science and go full Gaia during a recent interview on the California wildfires?

We have these fires in California, and in the West, 16 people have died in Washington, Oregon, and California, including a firefighter and a 1-year-old baby. We — our firefighters have been so, very, very courageous.

Now, we’re, again, breaking records. Mother Earth is angry. She’s telling us — whether – she’s telling us with hurricanes on the Gulf Coast, fires in the West, whatever it is, that climate crisis is real and has an impact.

Video at the link over at RealClearPolitics.

Unlike Pelosi and most in politics who comment on science, I actually worked in science for eight years and wrote a book about science (astronomy – link below). Here’s some science: California liberals abandoned basic forestry management decades ago. This has allowed dead wood which becomes fire fuel to pile up year after year, and when one of the state’s aging powerlines gets knocked or blown over it only takes a spark to get the fire going.

The powerlines are aging at least in part because California, a rich state with a massive economy, has decided not to maintain them properly. Liberals, in short, have abandonded basic government, most conspicuously public safety nationwide this year, for the sake of politics.

If you’re goading others to "follow the science” while you also appeal to the authority of "Mother Earth,” you’re doing both science and mysticism wrong.

Even far-left Mother Jones goads California to allow more controlled burns to prevent wildfires and even feed the mighty sequoia trees. Here’s some science on that:

"They are a fire-dependent species that are well adapted to survive burns,” says Nichols. "In fact, fire helps them get the next generation of sequoias started.” That’s because fire encourages the trees to drop their cones en masse. The blaze knocks out competition from other plants and provides a great shot of fertilizer in the form of ash.

Trees…need fire.

More on the Possibility of Civil War

Timothy Birdnow

Here is another article on the possibility of a coup on the heels of a Trump victory.

From the article:

These items are, to repeat, merely a short but representative list of what Byron York recently labeled"coup porn.” York seems to think this is just harmless fantasizing on the part of the ruling class and its Democratic servants. For some of them, no doubt that’s true. But for all of them? I’m not so sure.

In his famously exhaustive discussion of conspiracies, Machiavelli goes out of his way to emphasize the indispensability of "operational security”—i.e., silence—to success. The first rule of conspiracy is, you do not talk about the conspiracy. The second rule of conspiracy is, you do not talk about the conspiracy.

So why are the Democrats—publicly—talking about the conspiracy?

Because they know that, for it to succeed, it must not look like a conspiracy. They need to plant the idea in the public mind, now, that their unlawful and illegitimate removal of President Trump from office will somehow be his fault.

Never mind the pesky detail that the president would refuse to leave only if he were convinced he legitimately won. Remember: Biden should not concede under any circumstances.

The second part of the plan is either to produce enough harvested ballots—lawfully or not—to tip close states, or else dispute the results in close states and insist, no matter what the tally says, that Biden won them. The worst-case scenario (for the country, but not for the ruling class) would be results in a handful of states that are so ambiguous and hotly disputed that no one can rightly say who won. Of course, that will not stop the Democrats from insisting that they won.

The public preparation for that has also already begun: streams of stories and social media posts "explaining” how, while on election night it might look as if Trump won, close states will tip to Biden as all the mail-in ballots are "counted.”

The third piece is to get the vast and loud Dem-Left propaganda machine ready for war. That leaked report exhorted Democrats to identify "key influencers in the media and among local activists who can affect political perceptions and mobilize political action…[who could] establish pre-commitments to playing a constructive role in event of a contested election.” I.e., in blaring from every rooftop that "Trump lost.”

Bear in mind the Ruling Class has already tried a soft coup that failed. And bear in mind they are the movers and shakers of this world, not given to waiting for what they want. And bear in mind they are in control of most of this country's institutions.

In criminal justice  "means, motive, and opportunity” are required to prove a case against a defendant. Using this logic the Ruling Class has the means via the media and an army of "social justice warriors", certainly has the motive, and will have the opportunity.

Most Americans cannot believe this could happen because it never has - here. But it's happened in foreign countries many times. And the end result is rarely good.

The Progressives believe America is theirs by birthright, that we are interlopers who need to learn our place.

Unfortunately they are coming at us from all sides; top down, bottom up, inside out. And they are indefatigable. We wear out.

Like Muslims, the Left refuses to concede any ground once their flag is planted, and they are always pushing. They see a possible loss of ground, and they are not going to stand for it.

Even if it takes a bloody civil war they will not yield. I am not so sure about our side.

NPR Hit Job on David Legates

Timothy Birdnow

And nary a word about Mann's "Nature Trick" or his refusal to give over his codes, or his getting pasted in lawsuits he initiated. Man, talk about dishonest reporting!

Longtime Climate Science Denier Hired At NOAA

Here is a taste of this biased crap:

David Legates, a University of Delaware professor of climatology who has spent much of his career questioning basic tenets of climate science, has been hired for a top position at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Legates is a professor in the Department of Geography and Spatial Sciences at the University of Delaware. He is also affiliated with the Heartland Institute, a think tankthat has poured money into convincing Americans that climate change is not happening and that the scientific evidence — including evidence published by the agency that now employs Legates — is uncertain or untrustworthy.

Advocates who reject mainstream climate science, such as those at Heartland, have had a leading role in shaping the Trump administration's response to global warming, including the decision to exit the Paris climate accord.

Steve Milloy, a Heartland board member and part of Trump's Environmental Protection Agency transition team, says he welcomes the Legates appointment. "David Legates is a true climate scientist and will bring a great deal of much-needed science to NOAA," Milloy writes in an email to NPR.

But climate researchers slammed the NOAA decision to appoint Legates to a key scientific position.

"He's not just in left field, he's not even near the ballpark," says Jane Lubchenco, professor of marine biology at Oregon State University and head of NOAA under President Obama.

Contrarians in science are welcome, Lubchenco says, but their claims have to be scientifically defensible. That's why official groups like the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change review the entire range of scientific research before reaching a conclusion.

Over the last 20 years, in his work and public statements, Legates has rejected the overwhelming peer-reviewed research that shows human activity is the main driver of a dangerously changing climate.

Stephen Heins adds:

I live in Del-a-Where, home of Hidin’ Biden.

The Univ of DE has all of Biden’s letters and correspondence from his exalted 4+ decades in Washington.

Here is what the Univ of DE did to David Legates:

In December, 2009, David Legates, a University of Delaware professor who was the Delaware State Climatologist from 2005 to 2011, received a FOIA request from Greenpeace. It sought Legates’ "e-mail correspondence and financial and conflict of interest disclosures” "in the possession of or generated by the Office of the Delaware State Climatologist” from January 1, 2000, concerning "global climate change.” Legates is an outspoken critic of the evidence used to show the human effect on climate.

Under Delaware state law, FOIA requests to the University for a faculty member’s academic materials are limited to activities supported by state funding. During Legates’ tenure, the State Climate Office received no state (or University) funding. Nor did Legates receive any state funds for his work as State Climatologist, and the State Climate Office never undertook activities concerning "global climate change.” In short, none of Legates’ work fell within the scope of the FOIA request.

Nevertheless, UD Vice President and General Counsel. Lawrence White, decided that Legates must provide morethan Greenpeace had requested, not only all State Climate Office documents, but all documents he had on global climate change, whether or not Greenpeace had requested them. White’s expansive list, covering all of Legates’ teaching, research and service materials going back to 2000, included work unrelated to the State Climate Office, whether conducted on Legates’ own time or on University time, through his personal e-mail or his University e-mail, on his personal computer or a University computer, both in hard files and on computer disks. According to White, Legates had no choice. As a faculty member, White instructed him, Legates had to comply with the request of "a senior University official.” It seemed not to matter to White that the Delaware FOIA law limits requests to state-funded activity and UD’s own policy limits it further to research that is state-funded.

American Demsherme; How to Truly Defeat America

Timothy Birdnow

On Facebook a friend named Kevin Smith asked how you actually defeat an enemy - not win battles but actually defeat a People.

He stated:

The reason why it's so hard for people to nail this question is because it forces us to look inside ourselves and it makes us vulnerable.

You would have to ask yourself....what would defeat me?

Also, death doesn't work...killing Jesus, Ted Bundy, and Obi Won Kenobi only made them stronger.

Colin Kaepernick is another example and, frankly, more to the point of where I'm going with this ...Colin Kaepernick will NEVER die...for all intents and purposes, he is immortal.

I replied:

In war you must break their will, and that only happens by repeated and painful defeats. What we did in Iraq was an example of how NOT to defeat an enemy; we flanked the Republican Guard and seized Baghdad. We needed to fight their best guys and win. With an enemy in war you have to kill the zealous and cow the rest. If we are talking about political battling or religious it is much harder, and only ends when one side sees their cause is lost forever. How many Zoarastrians are around in Iran, their traditional homeland? The Muslims invaded, forced conversion, and oppressed the Zoarastrians into extinction. It's a hard, hard thing to do though. Shoot; we are still fighting the Civil War to some degree in America.

The only other way is to convert the populace to your way of thinking. That's what the Left is doing here now; brainwashing the young. Sadly, they are winning and when we die out the younger generation will have a socialist America. I've had liberals say "when are you old people going to die"; they know traditional Americans are dying out. We let the Left steal our young people's minds. They may well truly win and defeat US.

Kevin observed:

So, yeah, Timothy Birdnow is basically spot on....he used more words, but the only answer to how to destroy an enemy is
you need to destroy their religion

But, let's extend that out..."religion
" is not strictly defined to the, so-called God religions, but really to the centralized belief system that holds them all together and gives the emotional strength to fight and keep fighting.

on Timothy Birdnow second point...absolut
ely and THAT, my friend IS my central point...we are getting our asses kicked right now and I'm tired of it plain and simple

So...what are they, the enemy doing? ...they are going after our religion(s)

What are, exclusively here as Americans, they are absolutely going after our American game of football, they are going after our property rights and literally our Capital, and our businesses.

Their weapon is propaganda and spin and their soldiers are literally OUR children!

When you think about, if you are an American, whether a football fan or not, football IS the centralized religion of America right now. It's not Christianity (it used to be)...football brings all people together to share in something real on our weekends

It's family, community, it's spirit.

So..let's be clear....they are brainwashing our children to become insurgents within our borders to attack us

Tim makes the following points:

The Ottoman Turks had the Demsherme; they would take Christian children from their Balkan enemies and put them in military and government service. It was a kind of "elite corps" bound together like a cult. So Christians would often face their own children on the battlefield when they were trying to rescue them! That is what the Left has done to us, I fear.

Partition May be the Only Answer

This from Judson Phillips:

A few weeks ago, the media breathlessly reported the story of how a bunch of liberal Democrats and Never Trumpers had "war-gamed" out possible outcomes of the election.

In one of their scenarios, CA, OR and WA, threatened to secede and form the new country of Cascadia, if Trump did not concede.

The more I think about it, the more I think that could be the best case scenario for America. Let the left coast go and become Venezuela and let real Americans live in peace and prosperity.

Tim adds:

I've believed for a long time that the ultimate survival of this country depends on partition. We are at a stage where we no longer even tolerate each-other. The Left, ravenous and hate-filled, wants it all. How do you remain in union with people who want to punish you for the horrible sin of being an American? Partition and save a remnant. In the process we can perhaps offload some of our national debt onto the new blue states. But we keep the military and all the military hardware.

The Peace Train

Timothy Birdnow

Trump has brokered a peace deal between Bahrain and Israel.

From the Trump-hating BBC:

For decades, most Arab states have boycotted Israel, insisting they would only establish ties after the Palestinian dispute was settled.
But last month the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed to normalise its relationship with Israel.
There had been much speculation that Bahrain might follow suit.
Mr Trump, who presented his Middle East peace plan in January aimed at resolving the Israel-Palestinian conflict, helped broker both accords.

Bahrain is only the fourth Arab country in the Middle East - after the UAE, Egypt and Jordan - to recognise Israel since its founding in 1948.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was "excited" that "another peace agreement" had been reached with another Arab country on Friday.

This would never have happened had we kept the "professional" international negotiators in charge. It took an outside force, someone who was results-oriented and not a worshipper of "process".

We've had the "peace process" going since before I was born.

While these are minor states, they do speak of great things to come - hopefully.

Look for Russia or China (or both) and especially Iran to try to stop this bandwagon in months to come.

Health Admin in L.A. Admits Lockdown is Political

Timothy Birdnow

The canaries are starting to sing.

From American Thinker:

Los Angeles County is America’s most populous county, the largest government entity in America that is not a state or the federal government, and the third-largest metropolitan economy in the world. It’s also entirely Democrat-run, as evidenced bypoverty, drugs, andhomelessness, as well as itsvast wealth inequality.

Los Angeles students still cannot go to school but must, instead, do online learning. We already know that part of the problem is that the teachers’ union had some pretty stringent demands, few related to the students’ physical and mental well-being.

However, it turns out the continued school closures are also because of politics. We know this because LA County’s Public Health Director, Barbara Ferrer, admitted as much when speaking to a gathering of school nurses and other school administrators:

So we don’t realistically anticipate we will be moving to tier 2 or to reopening K-12 schools at least until after the election, after, you know, in early November. When we just look at the timing of everything it seems to us the more realistic approach to this would be to think that we’re going to be where we are now until we get, until after we are done with the election.

There is no scientific connection between the election and the Wuhan virus. There is, however, a cynical connection between the lockdown and the election. The Democrats know that, and Ferrer finally said it out loud. If you’ve suffered from the lockdown, be sure to remember that the Democrats did it on purpose.

"Billions and Billions Served" or So We Are Led to Believe

Timothy Birdnow

Yesterday I had to take a taxi to my eye doctor. The cabbie started talking about the Coronavirus and he said "millions have died" and "Trump knew about it back at the beginning of the year".

Millions died?  There have been 920,903 fatalities worldwide attributed to Covid 19 (out of a world population of over 7 billion) and in the U.S. we have had 198,000 deaths out of a population of 330 MILLION. And these numbers are likely grossly inflated as the CDC is calling anyone with Covid 2 antibodies infected and anyone with comorbidities is being listed as a Covid death, even if they are hit by a bus. So many of those who have died are elderly and suffering multiple illnesses.

As for Trump knew; of course he did! He issued a travel ban at the beginning of March. He was roundly criticized at the time by the Democrats, who said he was panicking and stopping travel because he was a racist. Any President is expected to try to maintain calm, I might add. Or was he supposed to wander around weeping and panting? That's his job to calm public fears.

And at the time we did not know what to expect and had no reason to panic at that point. The WHO and CDC both downplayed the gravity of this at first. I rather think they were being honest back then.

But this is the impression of a cab driver, and no doubt a lot of people have bought into this. I've heard it said many people think 30% of the populace is infected. It's not just insanity, but a monstrous lie perpetrated by our media. There are an estimated 7.1 million active cases across the globe, and 21 million recovered.

This reminds me of the old McDonalds signs: "Billions and billions served". Only I have more faith in Ronald McDonald than in the CDC or the Media.

The authorities and the media have been shouting "fire!" in a crowded theater. That used to be a crime.

FBI: Believe "Official Reports" and Not Your Own Lying Eyes

Timothy Birdnow

Yet more proof the FBI has turned to the dark side.

From Vox Populi:

Not that anyone with even half a brain trusts the FBI anymore, but the Portland office has now confirmed that the Bureau is loyal to the Color Revolution, not the American people:

Reports that extremists are setting wildfires in Oregon are untrue. Help us stop the spread of misinformation by only sharing information from trusted, official sources.

FBI Portland and local law enforcement agencies have been receiving reports that extremists are responsible for setting wildfires in Oregon. With our state and local partners, the FBI has investigated several such reports and found them to be untrue.

Special Agent In Charge Loren Cannon, Federal Bureau of Investigation

Remember, the children of the Devil always deceive through misdirection and redefinition. The key word here is "extremists".

Yeah; I'm going to trust "official" sources, like the ones who told us the Trump was a "Russian asset" who hired hookers to pee on hotel beds, or who lied about espionage on the President-elect, or who told us Trump praised the Klan at Charlottesville. Or the guys who told us Trayvon Martin was an innocent young boy, or Mike Brown a model "college student" who had his hands up when shot. Or that the "protests" which wind up burning down cities are "mostly peaceful". I could go on but you get the point.

An Historic Trump Landslide?

Timothy Birdnow

Political scientist Helmut Norpoth, whose model has correctly predicted every Presidential election since 1912 except 1960 and 2000, is predicting a Trump landslide. This model predicts a 91% chance of a Trump victory and expects him to win by 362 electoral votes.

Norpoth predicted Trump's victory in 2016.

But that is assuming a fair election. This election is going to make Kennedy's thievery seem like child's play.

Anyway, read the article yourself.
