Play Mocking Betsy Devos

Timothy Biirdnow

One of Saul Alinsky's polemics is "ridicule is Man's most potent weapon" and that was why the Left did not allow any ridicule of Barack Obama during his Presidency - and the Republicans fell for it, refusing to insult the first black President . But as soon as liberals are out of power they employ mockery to the best of their ability.

Take this as a prime example; some two-bit teacher in Michigan wrote a play mocking Education Secretary Betsy Devos, .
From the article:

"Betsy DeVos! The Musical!” is a comedy written and directed by Quinn Strassel, an Ann Arbor Community High School teacher.

It hit the stage this past weekend in Ann Arbor, using satire and song to dish criticisms of DeVos, the wealthy Michigan Republican and advocate of charter schools and school choice policies.

While the show touches on serious issues, it’s "completely ridiculous,” Strassel acknowledges, with songs like "Jesus Wants Me to be Rich" and "The Best Kind of Teacher is a Teacher with a Gun.”

Dozens poured into Theatre Nova Saturday night, Aug. 31, for a staged reading. It was an hour-and-a-half of singing, dancing and wacky humor, drawing laughter and applause.

This is vintage liberalism; the Left will never ackowledge that the other side has a point, or even is sincerely mistaken. Well, actually, the author does grudgingly admit the latter, but only to save his liberal vision that Man is inherently good. and so is he.:

As for whether some might think it’s too hard on DeVos, Strassel said he tried to make sure the points made line up with "the negative impact she’s had on schools."

"I don’t have anything personally against Betsy DeVos and, if anything, writing this show has given me some empathy for her,” he said.

Sure. He's so wonderfully big-hearted, isn't he!

The hypocrisy of the Left never ceases to amaze me.

"I think her views are the product of a worldview that was bestowed upon her at a young age that I don’t think lines up with what most people believe in terms of public education.”

Strassel has launched a GoFundMe pagein hopes of raising money to turn it into a full production by next summer leading into the 2020 election, possibly traveling to different cities.

"I would love the show to find a bigger audience and I would love the show to have influence on the national conversation about public schools,” said Strassel, who started writing it in June.

DeVos and her family are mocked in the nine-song show, which delves into topics such as education policy, public school funding, charter schools, guns in schools, immigration and religion.

The education secretary is depicted as a clownish villain whose policies hurt public schools. In the opening song, she’s dubbed "the most controversial woman in the world.”

Chicago Mayor can't stand the heat, says "Stay out of my kitchen"

Dana Mathewson

Chicago's new mayor hasn't apparently learned all the ropes yet, but she has learned how to deflect criticism. "Oh, look, a squirrel." She's blaming Republicans for the gun violence in Chicago. (Yes, I had set my drink down before typing that, and I hope you'd set yours down before reading it.)

She took on a formidable foe here -- Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Not a smart move.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot clashed with Sen. Ted Cruz over the latest burst of gun violence in the city, claiming Monday that Chicago’s decades-long crime problem is actually the fault of Republican-run states like Indiana – because they don’t have "commonsense gun legislation” in place.

The retort came after Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted that "gun control doesn’t work” and pointed to the Democrat-run city as evidence that "disarming law-abiding citizens isn’t the answer.” His tweet referenced an article reporting that at least 25 people were shot in Chicago during Labor Day weekend amid a continuing crime wave in the city.

"Stopping violent criminals—prosecuting & getting them off the street—BEFORE they commit more violent crimes is the most effective way to reduce murder rates," Cruz tweeted. "Let’s protect our citizens.”

Oh, but that would never occur to a Chicago official, especially one as weaned on the standard Democrat policies as Lightfoot (and isn't that a wonderful name for her?).

Of all the people in the Senate with whom I would not want to get into a, well, urinating contest with, Ted Cruz tops the list. Lightfoot is WAY out of her league here. Go and have fun reading the rest of this: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/chicago-mayor-clashes-with-cruz

Ontario Parents File Complaint over Claim by School that 'boys and Girls are not Real"

Timothy Birdnow

Parents in Canada sue their little girl's school over transgender theory.

From the article:

In an exclusive story, The Post Millenial, reports that two-and-a-half months into the semester, Jason and Pamela Buffone could see the teacher's lessons on gender theory were having a severely negative impact on their daughter. She would ask them repeatedly her [identity] as a girl was "not real."

The young girl had never had a problem at school and her mother told the newspaper she "adores school."

According to Mrs. Buffone, the teacher told the children that "there is no such thing as girls and boys," and "girls are not real and boys are not real."

The child even asked her parents if she could go "to the doctor" about the fact that she was a girl. The girl was also "not sure if she wanted to be a mommy." Her mother told her that when she grew up, she could make that choice, but was concerned sexual reproduction was coming up as a part of Grade One gender lessons.

The parents became alarmed by their daughter's confusion. She had never shown any signs of being confused about her gender before.

The Buffones met with the teacher who told them the teaching of gender fluidity was a school board policy, and she was committed to teaching it due to "a change in society."

They brought their concerns to the principal of the Devonshire Community Public School who told them the lessons were to accommodate a child in the Grade One class who had expressed interest in self-expression as the opposite sex, according to The Post Millenial.

However, the Buffones later found out the parents of the child did not want the issue to be addressed by lessons on gender; they merely wanted the other children to be taught to act respectfully and not to bully their child.

So instead the teacher is bullying all of the children with this disinformation.

She should consult a geneticist; there are clear genetic markers that differentiate male and female. There are clear physical properties, too. Transgenderism is child abuse.

The family had to take their daughter out of the school. They have filed a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

Another example of the Left totally losing it

Dana Mathewson

Tim has provided some great examples below of how the Left is proving that it is losing its grasp on reality. Here's another one, wherein one of the current candidates for President -- albeit one whose sanity has always been questionable -- proves yet again that he has really never graduated from the sandbox.

Beto blames U.S. for drought in Guatemala, says God and nature had nothing to do with it

Frankly, if this is really true, I'm left wondering why he wants to head up such an evil country.

2020 presidential hopeful Beto O'Rourke blamed the United States for the drought in Guatemala and claimed America's harmful environmental emissions are spreading destruction throughout the world.

O'Rourke was speaking with South Carolina voters Monday at a small rally and said the drought in Guatemala was not caused by "God, nor by mother nature," but climate deniers and citizens who generate large carbon emissions. He also blamed America for helping cause civil war in Central America.

"The people of Honduras, and Guatemala, and El Salvador – reduce violence in their home communities, violence which we are somewhat to blame for – the civil wars we’ve been involved in, the drug trade that we've facilitated, the war on drugs that has militarized and hollowed out their civic institutions in their home countries," the failed 2018 Senate candidate began.

"And Guatemala, suffering one of the greatest droughts in their recorded history, caused not be God nor by mother nature, but by you and me and all of us and our emissions and our excesses and our inaction in the face of the facts, and the science, and the truth." [emphasis added]

Oh, dear. Nurse, Beto's off his meds again! Please do something about it.

Jesse Jackson Judges Donald Trump's Soul

Timothy Birdnow

One of the liberals favorite Bible quotes is "judge not lest ye be judged" and they use it to excuse all sorts of terrible behavior. Funny how quick they are to judge. Jackson is SUPPOSED to be a man of the cloth.

Jesse Jackson: Trump 'Would Not Qualify to Get Into Jesus' Kingdom'

Civil Rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson said this week that the Electoral College "must come down," and warned that President Trump may have trouble making it into Heaven because of his views on immigrants.

Jackson said that Trump demands people "speak English, be qualified and have a job skill," the Daily Wire reported.

"Jesus would not qualify to come in Trump’s country, he would not qualify to get into Jesus’ kingdom," Jackson said, going on to quote the Book of Matthew's passage about helping the underprivileged.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, Jesse!  Beware being lumped in with the hypocrites and Pharisees.

Grope-on

Timothy Birdnow

Joe Biden is famous for his love of riding the train. I'll bet that will change if this

It would keep Clinton off them too, if he ever road them.

From the article:

A Japanese company is out with a portable UV stamp that lets victims of harassment leave an identifying mark on anyone who tries to assail them.

"This is a stamp intended to deter nuisance," reads a translated product page from Shachihata, a maker of pre-inked rubber stamps and stamp pads.

Though the company doesn't mention groping specifically, uninvited touches from chikan (gropers) are a widely known problem for women on packed rush-hour trains in Japan.

The Fictional Transgenderism

Timothy Birdnow

Here is a good article in The Federalist discussing transgenderism. It's a fiction, plain and simle. I'm not going to excerpt it, just leave it for you readers to do the work yourselves.

Nashville Mayor Wants to Investigate Probation Ofice because they Report to ICE

Judson Phillips observes:

If you want to know how crazy the left is getting, look no further than Nashville. The bat guano crazy mayor of Nashville wants the metro probation office investigated because probation officers reported illegal aliens to ICE.

Think about this. The mayor (and a significant number of metro council members) are complaining that convicted criminals are being reported to ICE for deportation. The mayor wants to allow these illegal aliens to remain and commit more crimes. And the majority of elected Democrats in Nashville agree with him.
