Environmental Sins; the Spirit of AntiChrist

Timothy Birdnow

Pope Francis, wants to make not separating your garbage or using plastic water bottles a grave sin in the Catholic Church.

Wayne Dupree has the story:

Speaking to a group of lawyers on Friday, Pope Francis said that the Catholic Church is contemplating the introduction of "ecological sin” to the compendium of Church teaching.

"We have to introduce, we are thinking about it, in the catechism of the Catholic Church, the sin against ecology, the sin against our common home, because it’s a duty,” he said.

The pope’s words came just weeks after the conclusion of a bishops’ summit on the Amazon focused on the environmental threat to the region.

Francis was speaking to the 20thworld congress of the International Association of Penal Law, held in Rome Nov. 13-16, under the scope of "Criminal Justice and Corporate Business.”

He also said that the culture of waste, combined with other widespread phenomena in welfare societies, is showing the "serious tendency to degenerate into a culture of hatred.”

"It is no coincidence that in these times, emblems and actions typical of Nazism reappear, which, with its persecutions against Jews, gypsies and people of homosexual orientation, represents the negative model par excellence of a culture of waste and hatred,” Francis said.

He also said that upon hearing some speeches from certain governments, although he didn’t give any examples, he’s "reminded of Hitler’s speeches in 1934, in 1936, [heard] today.”

"We must be vigilant, both in the civil sphere and the ecclesial context, to avoid any possible compromise – which is assumed to be involuntary – with these degenerations,” he said. [Crux Now]

Pope Francis is a pagan and a heretic. That is becoming increasingly clear. I fear the man must be removed from office before he causes irreparable harm to the Faith.

Where in all of this is the salvation of souls? That is the primary job of the Church. Francis has traded the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man . He clearly is more interested in the creature than the Creator.

Life is just the beginning. While the things of this world are necessary for our existence here, this is not the end but the means. We are here to develop so that we may live in Heaven with God. That is the core of Christianity. Pope Francis seems more concerned with our existence on this Earth and seems to care little for our immortal souls.

His is the spirit of AntiChrist.

The Tyranny of Multiculturalism

Timothy Birdnow

A Facebook group I am in recently started a conversation about multiculturalism and plurality. I left the following comment:

Human beings are tribal in nature; it comes from our evolution as a species during the late Pleistocene when we created the tribe as an extended version of the family (which is a biological unit.) Economics forced our ancestors to join with larger tribes to create citeis and eventually nations, but at heart we are still apt to seek those most like ourselves. "Birds of a feather flock together" the old saying goes.

That's why there are cliques in high school. That's why there are private clubs.

The key is to foster loyalty to a larger social group without trying to force people out of their loyalty to their tribe. America HAD been somewhat successful at that - more than most other nations. In America, you could be a Puritan from Boston, entirely blue-blood, and at the same time stand with a black sharecropper from Alabama when he is threatened. Why? Because the other guy is an America too! We aren't brothers exactly, but close cousins. That is, perhaps, the best we can do.

But the move has been towards total unity by erasing loyalties and at the same time promoting our differences - the exact opposite of where we should be going. And internationalis

m; the idea the nation-state is defunct has been promoted endlessly. Citizens of the world and all that. But what exactly is the largest entity where the individual and the tribe can be best supported? I believe the nation-state may be the largest entity that can effectively govern. Anything larger is an empire, held together by force. Anything smaller will be too weak, and likely degenerate into warring factions.

What makes a nation? Common culture, common faith, common beliefs. America had all that; we were pluralistic, but we held the Judeo-Christian beliefs and ethos in common. And that was good, because Christianity teaches we love each-other as ourselves, so we had at least a moral duty to treat the other guy decently. NOT that America always lived up to that, but it was at least the ideal.

Today we demand respect as a right and think we can abuse others if they disagree with us. We think "diversity is our strength" and so sever the bonds of affection while at the same time forcing conformity on the individual. We have rejected our Judeo-Christian roots in favor of a secular religion which emphasized group identity, atomizing multiculturalis m, and agnosticizm or neo-paganism. In other words, the things that used to bind us together as a nation are being systematically dismantled and a new, strange god put in its place.

So, was America perfect before this? No, but do we really want to throw the baby out with the bathwater? Even living badly in America has traditionally been better than living in other places. Why did so many Chinese immigrate during the Nineteenth Century? They were discriminated against here, but they lived better than in China. The reason was ultimatley we had a system that had freedom of association and a sense of moral duty, even while it suffered bigotry.

There were good reasons the black community never embraced the Liberian experiment; they could have immigrated back to Africa but chose to stay here. Why is that?

Today America's central government is too powerful; we've become an empire. Force is now the thing that holds this country together. That is not a long-term stable situation.

Multiculturalis m is the least tolerant of ideologies. In the past we could be any religion, race, creed, but were always Americans. Now we are in a tyranny of race, religions, creeds, anything BUT Americans.

Roger Stone found guilty on all counts in trial stemming from Mueller probe

Dana Mathewson

Color me skeptical. For months I've believed this man has been a scapegoat for the "Get Trump At All Costs" crowd. Remember when they went to pick him up, with a SWAT team large enough to attack a Mexican drug cartel -- and took CNN along for the ride?

The article says that he was "convicted by a jury in Washington, D.C." Tell me, friends, what do you think are the chances of finding a jury in D.C. that would be totally impartial in a case like this? About the same as the jury in the Emmet Till murder case, I'd say. (How many of you are old enough to remember the Till case, by the way?)

This article is chock-full of good writing. I prefer to give you the link and let you go for the gold, rather than excerpting it, OK?

And for more of my two-cents, I think any and all "cases" arising out of the Mueller "probe" should be vacated as "tainted." Stone, Flynn, Manafort, and any others if indeed they exist.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Of course, I still want the IG to finish his report, and AG Barr and friends to do their work. They don't come from the Mueller witch hunt.

"Epstein Didn't Kill Himself" meme goes international

Dana Mathewson

And why not? It's a welcome distraction from the Schiff-Head Show.

But look who's promoting it now! None other than Syria's President Bashar Assad!

Syria’s Assad claims Jeffrey Epstein didn’t commit suicide

Yep, that's a surprise! And his reasoning makes perfect sense.

The "Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself” meme appears to have now gone international.

Syrian President Bashar Assad, in an interview with Russian state TV Thursday, waded into the bizarre viral craze by offering his own take on what happened to the convicted pedophile inside his Manhattan federal prison cell in August.

"American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was killed several weeks ago, they said he had committed suicide in jail,” Newsweek quoted Assad as telling the TASS Russian News Agency. "However, he was killed because he knew a lot of vital secrets connected with very important people in the British and American regimes, and possibly in other countries as well."

Assad’s unsolicited take on Epstein came when he was asked for his reaction to the death of James Le Mesurier, the founder of the White Helmets humanitarian volunteer group, which performed emergency response functions in Syria. Le Mesurier was discovered dead early Monday in Turkey.

Assad's a guy whose reputation for offing his opposition is well-known. I'd say it's worthwhile to pay attention to him on this one. The rest of the story is found here: https://www.foxnews.com/world/syria-assad-jeffrey-esptain-killed-speculation

OTOH, respected homicide detective Mark Fuhrman (O.J. Simpson case, among others) cries B.S. and gives good reasons. Says people are silly to believe Epstein didn't off himself. Go here https://www.foxnews.com/media/jeffrey-epstein-suicide-homicide-fox-nation for the story. And hey, he has years of experience as a detective, and Assad does not.

Recess Forever!

Timothy Birdnow

Progressive educators (sic) in Canada have a new policy; let kids walk out of class whenever they choose!

From the article

Students at Confederation Park Community School in Saskatoon can leave classany time to burn off some energy at the gym.

The school has a"body break" program geared at helping kids concentrate by encouraging different kinds of physical activity.

The idea is to "reset and reintegrate back into the classroom," said physical education teacher Jeff Marshall, who started the program.

About 30 students at the elementary school use body breaks regularly. Many children come at least once a day.

Gee. what could go wrong with that!

That was what we did at recess, when I was a kid. Basically these forward thinking Progs have given a "get out of jail free" card to these kids. I would never have been in class had my school had such a policy.

But what do I know; I don't have a Ph.D. in education...

Schiff's Pedophile Pal

Timothy Birdnow

One of Adam Schiff's BFF's was just arrested for  trying to molest a nine year old girl.

From a post at Newspunch:

Rep. Adam Schiff and Dr. (Bruce) Hensel have been closely linked for years, with the LA Times describing the doctor as a "special guest” at Schiff’s 50th birthday party in 2010. Schiff also handpicked Dr. Hensel to work with him on health care townhalls in California and has been the recipient of big dollar donations from the 71-year-old throughout his political career.

The Los Angeles Police Departmentc onfirmed Dr. Hensel was arrested Wednesday morning in Beverly Hills and charged with contact with a minor for sexual purposes.

The arrest came after achild sexual exploitation investigation involving the 9-year-old after inappropriate messages and photographs were shared between the child and Dr. Hensel. The 71-year-old was booked for contact with a minor with the purpose of committing sexual acts.

You sometimes CAN judge someone by the company they keep. Strangely, the Democrats have always been cozy with the Jeffrey Epsteins, the Harvey Weinsteins, the Roman Polansky's of this world. But then, they've been sodomizing the American People for decades.

Tlaib in the Cookie Jar

Timothy Birdnow

Rashida Tlaib  (D-Ramallah) had her arm in the cookie jar, up to her shoulder, and she's refusing to cooperate with investigators.

According to Free the Bacon:

Tlaib received two potentially illegal payments from the campaign after the last general election, according to the report. A salary payment of $2,000 occurred on Nov. 16, 2018, and another payment of $15,500 occurred on Dec. 1.

Payment for work during the campaign is legally permitted, but payment for work afterwards would violate the law. Emails indicate that Tlaib was paid for work done after the campaign as the Dec. 1 check was labeled as payment for work between "Nov. 16, 2018 to December 31, 2018." The election occurred on Nov. 6.

The report includes several emails from Tlaib to campaign staff, including an April 4, 2018, email in which she asked for "a one time payment of 5K" due to personal financial struggles.

A later email showed Tlaib reaching out to a larger number of campaign staff and informing them she would not make it through the campaign without a stipend. She requested payments of "$2,000 per two weeks but not exceeding $12,000″ from the campaign.

Tlaib denied wrongdoing, according to the Detroit News. Her lawyers claimed the payments were to catch up on work she had done during the campaign. She claimed that the checks were "the minimum salary payments necessary for me to meet my personal financial obligations."

Tlaib and her staffers refused to cooperate with officials throughout the investigation, according to the report.

"Because Rep. Tlaib refused to interview with the OCE, the OCE could not address thesepotentially problematic payments with her," the report states. "Likewise, the OCE was unable to address these documents with members of her campaign staff given their refusals to interview with the OCE."

Tlaib will be investigated further. I wonder how much dirt is under her fingernails.

And I wonder how much the media will cover for her. I suspect if the noose starts tightening too much the media will "forget" her and her arrest will only be a footbote.

Big Tech "Color Revolution" at Home and Abroad

Timothy Birdnow

Looks like our friend Google has been harvesting peoples' health information on the sly.

According to Natural News:

As originally reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Project Nightingale is said to be the biggest data-harvesting scheme of its kind, outpacing similar ones launched by Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft.

Launched under the cover of darkness last year with St. Louis-based Ascension, the second-largest health system in the United States, Google’s Project Nightingale program involves collecting lab results, doctor diagnoses, hospitalization records, and other private patient information across multiple categories.

If successful, Project Nightingale will give Google access to people’s complete health histories, including patient names and dates of birth.

Now Natural News is not the most dependable, but it does use information from the Wall Street Journal, a very solid publication.

Google is doing what the Gestapo and KGB could only dream of doing; they can collect - and use - more information on a person than at any time in history. Tyrants have long dreamed of having this kind of data on the citizenry.

How long before Google starts offering a service to employers, say, on health data? Yes, it's illegal, but there may be a loophole. And what happens when the government wants it?

Google is an evil entity, despite it's old slogan. Founded in no small part with CIA money, it had a major impact on the so-called "Arab Spring", with one of the Google Vice Presidents - Wael Ghonim - being one of the principle organizers of the rebellion against Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. Does anyone think Ghonim acted alone? And Google and Facebook helped train activists in the use of social media prior to this and the other "color" revolutions.

And it has been Google which has manipulated the search results to promote any and every revolutionary movement in the last few years. Those movements have largely been the product of covert "black ops" by our intelligence agencies, or the work of the networks financed by George Soros. Ferguson, Baltimore, etc. have a striking similarity to what happened in Serbia, in Ukraine, in Egypt, in Tunisia, etc. That is because they are being run the same way largely by the same people. Google has been one of the leaders in this.

The attempted coup against President Trump - the ongoing coup - follows the "color revolution" script. Accusations of corruption and evil intent, along with a media narrative that can be boiled down into sound bytes "Russian Collusion" or "quid pro quo"  which the media picks up and runs with. Simple. Do not make it complex or explain things in a logical way. Then there's mockery, which we have seen every night on "comedy" shows that used to be late night variety. Now they are endless Trump-hating fests, ever sneering, ever deriding. And the public protests; we've seen a number of those.

It fits the script for a "color revolution". In other words, the skills developed in successfully overthrowing stable governments are being used here in the U.S.

I have little doubt our good friends at Google are involved, at least to a degree.

That is why Trump MUST survive; while the superstructure of America, the Constitutional political scheme, will remain if Trump is evicted from the White House, the damage will be incalculable. Mike Pence will be a figurehead, and he'll be defeated in the next election - or face impeachment himself. In the end, victory here for the "coloreds" will mean an eventual degrading of the Constitution and will make it clear that you can get the political outcome you want by a bloodless coup.

It will require that our side do it in retaliation if the Democrats take Trump down. It will be absolutely necessary, or the GOP will become a eunuch party, completely impotent and feckless. The GOP should be saying this right now, I might add.

At any rate, it's clear Big Tech is busily creating an empire for itself, and is helping to overthrow and destabilize not only nations overseas but the United States itself.

Christian college bans pro-life display because people might think it’s pro-life

Dana Mathewson

You read that correctly, sadly.

A Christian college refused to allow a display of Christian crosses to honor "abortion victims,” saying it would be "divisive,” according to email correspondence obtained by conservative and civil liberties groups.

"I didn’t think it was really going to be a problem at all,” Emily Kokot, treasurer and secretary for Young Americans for Freedom at Rocky Mountain College, told The College Fix in a phone interview.

That’s because "for the last couple of years,” the administration has allowed the campus affiliate of the Young America’s Foundation to install "a 9/11 memorial where we put flags up on the ground on the campus outside,” she said.

Instead, Dean of Student Life Brad Nason told Kokot that "we draw the line at public displays of divisive topics,” in an email referenced by Young America’s Foundation and the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. (Kokot works part-time in Nason’s office.)

Pressed as to why public displays are not allowed, Nason responded that "we have effectively eliminated every student’s ability to choose to engage or not engage with that issue” if the college allows public displays. They could also imply the endorsement of the college, he wrote.

Don't expect it to make sense, dear readers. These things never do, except to highly-educated college professors and administrators. They go through special training, where they learn to make words mean other than they normally do.

"I think the idea that people can’t separate out actions of college students from actions of a college is naive,” Adam Goldstein, program officer in FIRE’s Individual Rights Defense Program, told The Fix in a phone interview.

"I think we all know that college students engage in activism and no one is confused that institutions are enthusiastic necessarily about every protester who shows up on campus,” he said.

FIRE launched a pressure campaign against the college last week. Its auto-generated email to President Robert Wilmouth says RMC graduates "will be ill-prepared for the world after graduation if the school continues to prohibit ‘divisive’ displays and speech.”

AMEN to that!

Ocasio-Cortez confirms impeachment is Dems' 2020 election strategy

Dana Mathewson

This is from WND, not The Onion or The Babylon Bee. Honestly. But like everything else from AOC, it's pretty hard to take seriously.

One of the Democratic Party's rising starlets, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, confirmed her party's impeachment campaign against President Trump is based on fear their candidates could not defeat him in the 2020 election.

Cortez, who previously has made wild claims such as "the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don't address climate change" and the nation has to spend trillions of dollars on her radical "Green New Deal," was interviewed by CNN after the impeachment hearing Wednesday led by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

She also previously insisted on subpoenas for certain members of the Trump administration with security clearances because she feared they will be "putting nuclear codes in Instagram DMs."

See what I mean?

Now she says her party has "to be able to come together as a caucus, and if it is this Ukrainian allegation that is what brings the caucus together, then I think we have to run with however we unify the House."

And that party unity is needed for what purpose?

"We also need to move quite quickly because we're talking about the potential compromise of the 2020 elections. This is not just about something that has occurred, this is about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year," she said.

The Washington Examiner described her comment as an admission "that the Democrats' efforts to investigate President Trump are, in part, meant to prevent him from winning reelection in November 2020."

She said she's already convinced Trump committed impeachable offenses.

"I personally do believe that the president has engaged in flagrant violations of the emoluments clause. I'm concerned that we would allow this corruption to continue," she said. "But at the end of the day, we have to be able to come together as a caucus, and if it is this Ukrainian allegation that is what brings the caucus together, then I think we have to run with however we unify the House."

Actually, she has demanded the president's impeachment since even before she formally was added to Congress.

She's harping on the emoluments clause now. I seriously doubt if she actually knows what that's all about. She might be right about impeachment being the party's election strategy, but unless she's cleared this with Botox Nancy, I'm not going to put much stock in the idea.

At any rate, the rest of the article is here, https://www.wnd.com/2019/11/ocasio-cortez-confirms-impeachment-dems-2020-election-strategy/ and if you haven't had your daily belly laugh, please go and read it.

Elizabeth Warren Claims She Works Out to Patsy Cline; How Is That Even Possible?

Dana Mathewson

Is it possible for Fauxcahontas to speak to a crowd without pandering somehow? Is she even aware, these days, that she's doing it anymore?
In yet another cringe-worthy moment for presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, she was asked what her favorite music to exercise to is during an MSNBC interview full of hard-hitting questions that no one wanted to know the answers to. Inexplicably, she chose Patsy Cline.
Well, Kenny Rogers' stuff may be harder for her to find?

The country crooner's music isn't quite suited to getting your heart rate up to fat-burning levels, but I spent some time thinking about what kind of exercises one could do to this type of music. Perhaps a modified burpee, where you get down on the floor.. and then stay there. Or perhaps some sit-downs followed by a few lie-downs and some hot tea to go with the dulcet tones of the music.

At first I thought maybe she was playing to the seniors, but when I looked up seniors exercising, even eighty-year-olds like a beat to step to. Chalk it up to more of the Democrat candidate's hopeless efforts to be relevant and approachable and failing miserably.

Hey, I like Patsy Cline, though I'm not really "into" country. She had one of those voices that just reached out and caressed you. But as people say in this article, https://pjmedia.com/trending/elizabeth-warren-claims-she-works-out-to-patsy-cline-how-is-that-even-possible/ it's not workout music. Makeout music, perhaps. If you're cuddling with a gal who needs her tears dried.

St. Louis may ban Conversion Therapy

Timothy Birdnow

Bev Ehlen from Concerned Women for America gives us this heads up:

BB152, the ban on "conversion therapy", was heard in the Health and Human Services Committee in St. Louis City Hall on Wednesday. After hearing from those who came to testify, the Committee voted unanimously to pass it out of Committee on to the whole Board of Aldermen.

So St. Louis, one of America's most violent cities with a declining tax base, decaying infrastructure, crumbling buildings, and a seriously declining population, has nothing else to worry about but voluntary programs to help people who don't want to be homosexuals.THAT is the clear danger to our community!

Is it any wonder St. Louis is sinking like Nancy Pelosi's face before a botox shot?

Impeachment Going Forward on Calvinball Rules

Dana Mathewson

Regular readers will know that one of my favorite writers is PJMedia's Stephen Green, the self-styled "Vodkapundit." I've sometimes thought of calling myself "Bourbonpundit," but haven't done so in case he catches me and is inspired to sue me for too-close imitation.

Here, he posits that yesterday's Clown Show in the House reminded him of the game Calvinball, from the wonderful now-defunct comic strip "Calvin and Hobbes." How I miss that strip! I'll let him explain.

Calvin & Hobbes creator Bill Watterson gave his title characters the best-ever children's game to play: Calvinball. The rules of Calvinball are simple, in that there aren't any. Players can make up or abandon rules on the spot, with or without informing the other players. The only hard-and-fast Calvinball rule is that no rule may be used more than once.

Congressman Adam Schiff (D, Calif.) is apparently something of a Calvinball aficionado. Watch as he changes rules on the fly, and without bothering to tell anyone what those rules might be.

In the comic strip world, Calvinball is a sprightly game played with gusto by a young boy and his stuffed tiger. It's gentlemanly in its own strange way, played for innocent thrills and no score. Calvinball, as played by Schiff, is a political bloodsport meant to overturn the results of a free and fair election.

Or, being a bit more generous, maybe Calvinball is just Schiff's way of appeasing the Impeachment-at-Any-Price-Crazy-Chacha-Pants Wing of the Democratic party. I mean, if he doesn't expect to actually accomplish anything, then why not play by the only-rule-is-that-there-are-no-rules non-rules of Calvinball?

I know these unfair, unprecedented, and underhanded hearings are supposed to get our constitutional hackles all up, but when I see such an obvious pantomime of justice like Schiff's, the best I can manage is a knowing laugh.

For the record: I'm knowingly laughing at Schiff, not with him.

Green is going in a very interesting direction here, and I don't want to spoil it by quoting more. Rather, I will stop and point you to his article, which is here. https://pjmedia.com/vodkapundit/schiff-show-impeachment-going-forward-on-calvinball-rules/ See if you agree. He may well be onto something!

In the Sweet Pie and Pie

Timothy Birdnow

Just a few personal notes.

For some time I have had to see a retina specialist, and my vision has been degrading. I have considerable vision loss in my right eye but my left had been holding steady. Well, that has changed and I've been struggling for the last year or so.

At any rate, over the last month and a half I have visited the retina doctor three times, and each time she wanted to give me an avastin shot. Avastin was a drug originally developed for colorectal cancer, so she wants to inject butt medicine into me. Well, I'm not from San Francisco, but I'm no square either, so what the heck.

Actually, I've had it many times before, and it hasn't worked, but she was determined to do it.. So I agreed.

Well, my left eye is inflamed and very sensitive. The first time she tried she gave up, then the second time she used stronger pain killers but it was still too sore.

So yesterday I had to try it again. She kept me waiting until last (I was there four hours) because she knew it was going to be a rough one. She wanted to give me a shot in the eye so she could give me a shot in the eye; something patently ridiculous on the face of it, but what they heck.

So my doctor (and I think she's probably a good one, but it sure didn't seem like it yesterday) lays me back in the chair and starts dribbling my eyeball like she was Meadowlark Lemon. I mean that woman was doing spins and twists and back rolls with it. I asked twice "are you done yet" because I kept feeling stabbing pains. She told me I probably wouln't even feel it, and I didn't, because after a couple of minutes I yanked her hand away and said "Enough!"

So they (she had a resident in training) tried to insert Q-tips into my sore bulb. I felt like one of the Stooges facing Moe's wrath!
"Stop! You're crushing my eyebrows!"

It hurt too bad and the resident trying to insert them had to surrender.

I then suggested they use the numbing eye jell (which all of my past eye doctors used). They said "it's locked up". The supervising physician in Ophthomology didn't have access to a topical pain killer?

So they decided to try to inject me with just the drops. The doctor piddled around, and finally stabbed the needle in my eye. I couldn't help but jerk my head. I asked "did you get it?"  "No" she replied "you jerked".

But she DID manage to nick a capillary in there, and had to give me topical antibiotics.

So, after four hours I got an eye bleed, a bunch of pain, high blood pressure, and another three weeks to recover before Frau Bluecher devises some new torture for me!

Also, I have been unable to drive most of the summer and fall because of aneurysms inside the eye, and they gave me a medication that will blur the vision where I won't be able to drive again. It's getting worse than annoying; I have commitments and I must have a way of getting around. I took my wife to a doctor in a cab once; we got there and they told us "oh, we were trying to call - the doctor got called away." That cost us about fifty bucks. A pox upon them!

So, at any rate, I may be hit or miss for a while. I'm going to try to run as many errands as possible in the next couple of days, then I'll be limited in my blogging as I'll have to use my bad eye.

It really is a pain, because my wife's muffler went out and I have to fix that before I can take my car in to get a state inspection to renew my plate. I've been putting it off due to blindness.

At any rate, there you have it. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few things up and Dana and Jack can keep everyone company.

Schiff's Little Irregularities

On the latest episode of Jerry Springer Schiff's Impeachment hearing  Bill H. observes:

Ambassador Taylor actually said, "I'm just here to pass along what I was told by other people." He came right out and said that. In plain words.

Hearsay evidence is not permitted in a legitimate court not because it is bad evidence. Not because it is unreliable evidence. It is not permitted because it is not evidence at all. It is nothing more than gossip.

Bu calling for testimony from someone who is "just here to pass along what was told to me by others,"the Democrats have said that they are not interested in gathering evidence at all. They are just interested in collecting the latest gossip. They believe we should impeach the President of the United States of America based on gossip.

Tim Birdnow adds:

Amen Bill! This is not a grand jury hearing; it is a political rally pretending to be a hearing, with gossip over the back fence being portrayed as evidence. It's a farce in no uncertain terms.

This farce reminds me of the trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin. According to Wikipedia:

"In the narrative of all the canonical gospels, after the arrest of Jesus he is taken to the Sanhedrin. From a historical perspective, in the era in which the narrative is set, the Sanhedrin body was an ad hoc gathering, rather than a fixed court.[3]The portrayal of the Sanhedrin contradicts that of Jewish tradition and texts, which portray the Sanhedrin to be an established court based in Jerusalem with strict guidelines on how to function.[4]This is often considered by Christian sources to have been a deliberate contradiction by the Gospel authors, accusing the Sanhedrin of illegally violating the Torah during the trial."

In other words, it was a kangaroo court whose sole purpose was to convict - much like Schiff's fake hearings.

Rep. Jim Jordan shoots down Schiff's Star Witness

Dana Mathewson

If this is the way the "impeachment hearings" circus is going to go, Mr. Trump has little to fear, despite FNC's Chris (the New Christine, as bad as the Old Christine, his father Mike) Wallace, who apparently said "Taylor's testimony 'very damaging to the President.'"

Not according to this article in Breitbart News, which indicates that Rep. Jordan slammed Taylor like a screen door in a hurricane.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) decimated the Democrats’ "star witness” by demonstrating Ambassador William Taylor’s stunning lack of knowledge of the conversation between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and highlighting the layers upon layers of hearsay that the impeachment-driven Democrats’ inquiry is largely relying on.

Taylor testified in his prior deposition that he had a "clear understanding” that Ukrainians weren’t going to get U.S. aid until they announced the requested investigations.

Jordan said, quoting Taylor, "My clear understanding was security assistance money would not come until President Zelensky committed to pursue the investigations.”

"With all due respect, your clear understanding was obviously wrong, because it didn’t happen,” Jordan added, noting that Zelensky never stated that he was going to investigate the Bidens – not in a tweet, press conference, or media appearance.

"Where did you get this clear understanding?” Jordan asked, reading an excerpt of the addendum from U.S. ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland. Jordan read:

"Ambassador Taylor recalls that Mr. Morrison told Ambassador Taylor that I told Mr. Morrison that I had conveyed this message to Mr. Yermak on September 1, 2019, in connection with Vice President Pence’s visit to Warsaw and a meeting with President Zelensky.”

"This is is [sic] clarification. Let me read it one more time,” he said, reading the excerpt aloud again.

"Ambassador, you weren’t on the call were you?” You didn’t listen in on President Trump’s call and President Zelensky’s call? he asked.

Ambassador Taylor had the grace not to equivocate, at least.

"I did not,” Taylor said.

"You never talked with Chief of Staff Mulvaney?” he asked.

"I never did,” Taylor said.

"You never met the president?” Jordan asked.

"That’s correct,” Taylor confirmed.

"You had three meetings, again, with Zelensky and it didn’t come up,” Jordan said.

"And two of those – they never heard of about it as far as I know – there was no reason for it to come up, ” Taylor said.

"And President Zelensky never made an announcement,” Jordan said, mocking the Democrats for choosing such a weak "star witness.”

"This is what I can’t believe. And you’re their star witness. You’re their first witness. You’re the guy – you’re the guy.
Either Schiff expected something he certainly didn't get from Taylor, or else Taylor was sent out as a hoax. But why would that be? Schiff is serious about all this, unless he is as deluded about it all as Hillary is about another run for the Oval Office.

Mark Levin Unleashes on Faux Conservatives

Dana Mathewson

Those of you who are familiar with Mark Levin know that when he takes a stand, he stands his ground. And he's a staunch conservative. He does not hold his finger up to the wind to see which way it's blowing.

On his extremely popular radio talk show, Mark Levin lashed out at Ann Coulter, The Drudge Report, Anthony Scaramucci, Democrats, and the mainstream media for their relentless war on President Trump and now their collective call for his impeachment.

"Mr. Producer did you see the blaring headline: 'Ann Coulter has had enough of Trump, she wants him out.' Did you see that Mr. Producer? I hadn't seen it until someone sent me an email [with a] link. And there it was on The Drudge Report," Levin said immediately after the opening credits of his show. "I didn't even know Ann Coulter was still around. [...] I had no idea. But now that she wants Trump out, along with the slobbering news media and the slobbering Democrats and our enemies overseas... I think we should all now genuflect and attack the president of the United States. And my brother Drudge is doing a hell of a good job of it."

[...]

"I get sick and tired of these crybabies, these pseudo-conservatives, who have gotten rich and famous as conservatives, now all of a sudden: 'I'm not sure.' For a variety of reasons: positioning themselves and so forth. It's much easier if you're in my business or if you're in the media business to attack Trump. Because then they love you," he said about specific conservatives who have turned against the president -- either from the very first day he took office or more recently.

[...]

"These people are sellouts, for whatever the reason, and I don't much care. We have to fight for our liberty and for the future of our children and grandchildren. That's what's at stake," he said, not only about politics in general but more specifically about the impeachment-saga. "Our universities and colleges have gone to hell. Hollywood has gone to hell. The Democratic Party is going to hell and has gone to hell. The media is going to hell."

"We're it," Levin said. "We're the last ones left. This is it. So the Tokyo Roses in the media and the rest of them? They can go to hell too." Just in case those "sellouts" think they can get back in conservatives' good graces after a while, Levin warned them. We have long memories here, don't we, Levinites? Long memories."

"I love the way they write about me," the conservative radio talker said about leftists and anti-Trump faux conservatives in the mainstream media. "A vociferous Trump-defender. I'm a vociferous defender of liberty and constitutionalism. That doesn't mean I'm perfect, that doesn't mean the president is perfect. But the other side is perfectly repulsive and tyrannical."

This is why, Levin explained, he and his fellow conservatives will stand their ground. "I don't give a damn what any website says, or Ann Coulter. 'Oh my God, I must change my view!' Do you want these people in a foxhole with you? Hell no!"

"I've only just begun. Only just begun. We'll see in the days ahead because I'm thinking hard about this, how I choose to pursue this."

The entire article is a must-read, in my estimation. You'll find it here: https://pjmedia.com/trending/mark-levin-unleashes-were-not-surrendering-to-ann-coulter/
