My Comments:

At the 1:16 mark until the 3:19 mark of the included YouTube video of a U.S. Senate hearing, Boxer tries to grill a priest on the Catholic position on global warming (a non-theological issue). Boxer, who is Jewish, tries to essentially lecture Catholic morality to a priest. Father Sirico goes on to defend his educational intitute's funding against accusations by both Boxer and another U.S. Senator, Republican John Barrasso. The Father bluntly says that his organization's actions were being distorted to make it seem the organiztion's members were like "moral prostitutes."

There is an expression I heard about in Hebrew when I was in Israel as a young man. It was used to quiet an obnoxious woman working in a canning factory on a kibbutz. It is the most vulgar expression I know in any language and I can curse in several. For that reason I won't repeat it here, but I will just say it would be most appropriate to say to Barbara Boxer at this time - or any other time.

Boxer is the so-called feminist who after joining with the NOW crowd for decades, attacked Condoleezza Rice at her Sec. of State confirmation hearings because Ms. Rice didn't have children and thus was not invested in the next generation, an argument Boxer never used in public - or perhaps anywhere - against Gloria Steinem. And, of course, there was Boxer getting angry at a U.S. General for addressing her by the standard military form of "Ma'am," a form used to address a woman of superior rank, a military term Boxer was entirely unfamiliar with.

I'm glad Boxer is retiring from the Senate but we may not have seen the last of her in public life or just making public statements.
