Johnson in Trouble

Timothy Birdnow

Mike "Tiny" Johnson is in trouble over his budget-busting CR as Conservative Republicans blasted the pork-laden steaming pile as "business as usual".

This 1,500 page bill had a number of add-ons, including funding for farmers, for rebuilding the F.S. Keys bridge in Baltimore, disaster relief funding, a big pay raise for Congress, a reautthorizaton of the DHS funding for regulating drones, etc. All to keep the government open AFTER an election.

Tom Massey went on record saying he will oppose Johnson's Speakership, for instance.

But of course the Democrats could save Johnson again - as they did in the no-confidence vote prior. And I suspect this is his paying them back for that, giving them what they want now since they kept his sorry posterior in office.

The real problem in our government are the RiNO Republicans. If we had control of the party we would make great strides, but these people (like Johnson) will sell their souls for another two years in power. And they have. Mike Johnson was a rising star among Conservatives; now he's just another in a line of weak and cowardly Speakers, on a par with McCarthy, Ryan, Boehner, Hastert, etc. As soon as these guys get the gavel they morph into Democrats. Personally I suspect they are blackmailed (I know Hastert was; he was paying bribes to a blackmailer to not bring up his pedophilic rape of a young man).

Anyway we need Johnson replaced pronto. He's not going to accomplish anything and will wind up obstructing Trump's agenda.

I have a theory that the top brass in the GOP in Congress don't WANT to win or accomplish anything. They want to keep the numbers very close then use that as an excuse to not take any action. That way they have campaign issues to run on, but don't have to worry about having a record to defend. Even worse I think they want to let the Democrats have their way because deep down they really don't support Conservatism or MAGA but like the big-spending welfare state. Just look at what they didn't do when they took control of both chambers of Congress last time; after years of promising "repeal and replace" Obamacare they did not send a single bill to President Trump to fix it. They did this based on the argument "we can't take something away from the Amrican People" but what did Obama do but take something away from the American People in instituting it? And the whole point was "repeal and replace" not just repeal. Obamacare is grossly unpopular (I know; I have had an ACA plan since it's inception and it's very unpopular with ME!) This was a winner! But especially Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan didn't want Trump to have any legislative victories because it would assure him re-election and they knew it. So they stymied him at every turn over everything. I would argue they actually purposely threw the last three elections prior to '24 because of "the Long Game" as McConnell is so fond of promoting. They figured they could afford to lose control of Congress to get their dirty work done and get rid of tat SOB Trump. So McConnell defunded many MAGA candidates who could win and wasted money on guaranteed losers back east so as to then blame TRUMP for the failures. Ryan was no better.

I remember when Trump was first elected; Rush Limbaugh gave the GOP sound advice "enact Trump's agenda". He argued that by enacting the agenda Mr. Trump won on (despite seemingly overwhelming odds) the GOP would prosper. Sadly Ryan and McConnell also heard that and did the opposite because they wanted to crush MAGA. And thus Trump was then a one-term President.

That appears to be what Tiny is trying to do now. He just promoted a disgraceful waste of taxpayer money ostensibly out of fear of being blamed for a government shutdown. But after Trump's election why would the REPUBLICANS be blamed for a shutdown? And why care; it's four years until the next Presidential and two years until the midterms. The public will have long forgotten this shutdown, and after the new Congress takes charge a more favorable condition - with a Republican Senate and President - will prevail. There was absolutely no reason to blow this huge wad of cash now.

Of course Johnson will blame the tight House numbers. AS usual. As planned. But of course those numbers are so tight because they lost a couple of Republican seats, one of which they simply threw away (in New York with George Santos, a fibber certainly but one they should have let remain until the election.) And don't forget Matt Gaetz, who Kevin McCarthy worked to get tossed out.

Santos was the first House member expelled in 20 years. So what was his terrible crime? He lied about being Jewish. (Funny; I seem to remember a sitting Senator who lied about being Cherokee.) He was also accused of fraud and misuse of campaign funds, but he did nothing worse than any other sitting Congresscritter. The Democrats simply targeted him because he won in "their" district and the GOP let them because of the reasons I mentioned above. Santos was only one of six House members ever expelled from that august body, and he was the only one ever expelled without being convicted of a crime.

(BTW Anyone remember the House Banking Scandal? How was that any worse than what Santos had been doing? Yet nobody was expelled, including John "fly my kite" McCain, who went on to the a thorn in our sides as Senator.)

According to the New People's Republic aka NPR:

"The freshman lawmaker was mired in controversy since before he was sworn in to Congress.

The North Shore Leader, a newspaper in Santos' Long Island district, originally raised questions about claims that Santos' made in campaign filings in which he estimated his net worth at roughly $11 million. More extensive allegations were published last December in The New York Times.

Among other lies, the 35-year-old Santos falsely claimed that he had been a volleyball star at Baruch College, that he had worked for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup and that he was Jewish — stories he later amended or recanted in a December 2022 interview.

[...]

Then, in May, Santos was indicted on 13 criminal charges including wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and making materially false statements to the House of Representatives.

In October, prosecutors added an additional 10 charges in a superseding indictment, following a plea deal by a former campaign finance official affiliated with Santos' campaign.

This bears a striking resemblance to what happened to Donald Trump, does it not? It was clearly a concerted effort to take the man out.

Now, I'm not excusing Santos by any means, but am pointing out that the same methods employed against Trump were used against him, and the GOP led the charge in removing him despite the very narrow margin in the House. They could simply have left it up to the American People or waited for Santos to be charged and convicted. But they chose to kick him out without due process because they are either cowards or duplicitous. I tend to think the latter, at least where leadership is concerned. Everyone knew the Democrats would win Santos' seat.

Here is a database of misconduct by House members over the years. Yet almost all of these people remained in office under the theory that the voters should decide and not their representatives.

Anyway, Johnson has betrayed us yet again and will continue to do so as long as there are no repercussions. He is part of the Deep State whether he admits it or not. He talks a a great game but in the end he's just another Cryin' John" Boehner, who was a staunch conservative until he became Speaker then he became "Go Along to Get Along" Johnnie. Oh, did I mention he and Johnson have become great friends and he's a regular adviser to the current Speaker?

If Trump's popularity lasts until the midterms he should find a way of successfully removing Johnson. Johnson is not his friend - nor ours.

Trump Ordered Guard for J6, was Refused

Timothy Birdnow

It appears that Trump not only offered the National Guard to the J6 Coffee Klatch and book club meeting but actually ordered it - and his orders were disobeyed by then acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller.

Bombshell; Trump didn't Just Offer the Military to Protect the Capitol He ordered and and was Disobeyed

Trump-hating General Mark Milli (Vanilli) told investigators that Trump said:

"Hey, I don’t care if you use Guard, or soldiers, active-duty soldiers, do whatever you have to do. Just make sure it’s safe.”

And yet Miller didn't obey the order. He told the IG investigator:

"There was absolutely — there is absolutely no way I was putting U.S. Military forces at the Capitol.”

Why did Miller disobey orders? He was cowed by an op-ed authored by Dick Cheney and his daughter, and out of a desire to protect his future career prospects:

"Then you had this constant drumbeat of, remember when I came in the story was that I was a stuffed suit that I was a Trump crony that was going to use the United States Military to conduct a military coup to overthrow the Government, the elected Government of the United States. So that is what was out there in the Twitter sphere.”

Get that? He was more concerned with how he was perceived by the media and others than doing what he was supposed to do.

Cowardice, betrayal, and plitics all led to the events of January 6 and it is increasingly clear that Nancy Pelosi engineered much of this, along with Cheney. Heads need to roll.

Christmas from the Heart

Timothy Birdnow

I just listened to a wonderful Christmas CD - Christmas from the Heart. Done by our northern tier editor Dana Mathewson and his wife and colleagues this beautiful music was quite a treat for the Christmas season and I recommend everyone to get a copy.

A mix of traditional and jazz, with a heavy emphasis on the traditional, this compilation of songs offers an eclectic mix, something for everyone. (Me, I'm a traditionalist where Christmas music is concerned and it has plenty of that, but it has something for everyone.)

Dana does the woodwinds, and his wife Martha does the piano. Both are very well respected professional musicians with extensive experience with the top names in the business.

Singers are Melissa O'Neill and Tom Witry, both of whom have absolutely beautiful voices.

This was a lovely album and I would heartily recommend it to everyone. A lovely treat on this winter's day a week before Christmas!

To learn more about From the Heart or buy this wonderful cd go to https://fthquartet.wixsite.com/fromtheheartartists. They are also available for events if you are in the Twin Cities area.

Gain of Disfunction

Timothy Birdnow

Johnson and company didn't learn a blessed thing from Covid and gain-of-function research.

House spending bill mandates 12 biolabs to study ‘emerging infectious diseases.’

Maybe they can get Tony Fauci to run them? I hear he is available after his last job.

FBI Says Not to Shoot Down Drones

If the FBI is telling us not to do that it suggests they know something we do not.

Congress Gives Itself a Raise

Timothy Birdnow

Oh, by the way, Congress gave itself a nice raise in Tiny Johnson's last minute spending spree.

FTA:

According to the New York Times, individual members could be reimbursed up to about $34,000 in the first year.

Most members of Congress earn $174,000 annually, although some in leadership positions receive higher salaries. The Speaker of the House receives $223,500, while the Senate president pro tempore receives $193,400.

With the provision blocking pay raises stripped, lawmakers will receive an annual adjustment in pay equal to the change in the government’s Employment Cost Index for the fourth quarter of the prior calendar year versus the year before that.

That adjustment will be made each year unless Congress again blocks its pay raise.

Trump '20 Alternate Electors Vote in '24

Timothy Birdnow

You just have to love Trump!

13 accused of being 'fake electors' cast Electoral College votes for Trump

That's the way the Democrats would have done it, but the GOP usually begs off of such obvious thumb-in-the-eye tactics. But Trump thinks like a Democrat (which is why they hate him so) and this is what cows the opposition. Being humiliated usually deters an enemy.

In point of fact they weren't "fake" electors at all but the real ones; the fakes were the ones who signed off on Biden's Presidency when it was obvious he stole key states to win.

Drone Rangers

Timothy Birdnow

I may have just found the answer to the drones flying over Jersey and Pennsylvania, New York and Virginia! Or at least one of them, anyway.

In another budget-busting deal from our hero, the Rick Moranis of the GOP, House Speaker Mike "Tiny" Johnson, there is this provision:

"Reauthorization the Department of Homeland Security's unmanned aircraft systems program, which would allow for coordination among all Homeland Security agencies to address and counter the potential threats from drones."

My oh my! "Counter the threat from drones" right at a time when we have drones buzzing about like flies at an outhouse in midsummer! Does that coincidence strike anyone as, uh, fortuitous for them?

There is a move afoot to pass a kind of Patriot Act for drones, to ban their use by private citizens. Up until now governments were the only ones to hold the high ground, to control aerial surveillance and attack. Drones level that playing field, thus allowing some revulutionary army to compete with the bombers and fighter jets and other aerial technology. Can't have that!

So there you have it!

Ukrainian Terrorism

Timothy Birdnow

The Ukrainians have turned to pure terrorism in a desperate attempt to get the Russian jackboot off their throats.

Yes, they recruited an uzbecki to murder a Russian General with a bomb.

The Ukrainians actually had the terrorist film it so they could watch it live.

This war is hardening a whole generation of people and will lead to bitterness for a hundred years or more. And terrorism usually metastasizes into something that cannot be controlled. Now it's targeted against the Russians, but eventually it could well target the U.S. or Europe or Japan.

This war should never have been fought, and it should have been settled two years ago. We are going to pay dearly for it in years to come, mark my words.

Radioactive Material Found

Timothy Birdnow

Looks like the lost radioactive material that went missing in New Jersey has been found or allegedly so, according to James Dalzell, M.D., at the Nazha Cancer Center, the people who ordered the stuff in the first place. Or so the lying ABC News claims.

Probably but I wouldn't take this as the end of the story by any stretch. It wouldn't be the first time we've been lied to, especially about this.

The disappearance of this material (Germanium 68) led many to speculate the drones seen all over the Garden State may have been carrying detectors to seek out the lost material.

So one theory may be exploded (MAYBE) but there is still something going on that the lying government and lying media won't tell us. What?

Millions to Taliban to ProtectWomen

Timothy Birdnow

I would call this insane but that would be an insult to the clinically insane everywhere.

Afghanistan Gets $122.5 Mil to Combat Gender-Based Violence ...

Didn't the geniuses at the State Department bother to read about the Taliban? Or the Koran? "Gender violence" is what they call Sharia. In Islam women are "unclean".

FTA:

"Uncle Sam has continued to fund Afghanistan’s education sector through six programs that cost $185.2 million even though the Taliban has issued decrees drastically limiting access to education for girls and women as well as restricting women’s ability to work and other basic freedoms. The extremist group has also infiltrated local NGOs delivering educational assistance by targeting and extorting Afghans who receive monetary support from U.S.-funded education programs under the guise of taxation. NGOs are also coerced to hire Taliban supporters or purchase goods from Taliban-owned companies.

There is no telling where the hundreds of millions of dollars for gender-based violence have gone, and the feds do not seem terribly concerned about it. Since October 2020, the U.S. has spent $237 million on 31 GBV-related programs in Afghanistan, with more than half of it—$122.5 million—doled out after the collapse of the Afghan government between September 2021 and October 2022. More than two years after the Taliban took over, the audit confirms that the U.S. government has not updated its strategies to assure the programs succeed under terrorist rulers. Prior to the abrupt U.S. military withdraw the former Afghan government with the help of American support established the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and enacted the Elimination of Violence Against Women criminalizing rape in Afghanistan for the first time and numerous other acts of violence against women, including forced marriage, underage marriage, and giving away women and girls as restitution for crimes. The Taliban has killed most of the reforms, according to human rights groups cited in the report. "For example, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs no longer exists, the 2009 Elimination of Violence Against Women law is largely unenforced or ignored, and nearly all 30 women’s shelters that were still open in September 2021 to support and care for GBV survivors are closed,” SIGAR writes.

Yet the U.S. taxpayer dollars keep flowing, even though the State Department’s Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls, and Human Rights confirms the Taliban wants to erase Afghan women and girls from society, prohibiting them from accessing education or working in most sectors, restricting freedom of movement, and effectively banning them from public. "Those who raise their voices to protest or resist risk harassment, detention, and violence,” the probe found."

Chinese Auto Makers Rule the World

Timothy Birdnow

China has become a top producer of cars, especially EV's, and until we get rid of these toy vehicles China will dominate the car market.

In the last 20 years China's grip on the auto market has risen from 1% to 39%.

Even Japan is suffering as the Chinese overtake their ev industry.

This is interesting in that In 2023, there were almost 294 million privately-owned motor vehicles registered in China, out of a population of 1.41 billion. So one out of four people own cars. But in the U.S., with a population of 339.4 million, there are 278,870,463 privately owned vehicles - So every 1.5 peoople own cars here. China's sales are predominantly based on exports.

Exports that may not survive the end of "green" dream cars.

Much of China's success stems from heavy subsidization by government, as well as government research and development. In short, it's artificial. Once Trump's tariffs kick in the Chinese grib on auto manufacturing will start to crumble.

China also enjoys the benefits of low-paid labor, and tax breaks. The labor costs are way belong American costs, which are driven by powerful union contracts. According to Reuters:

"A Reuters analysis of the estimated income included in recent job adverts from 30 auto firms showed hourly salaries of 14 yuan ($1.93) to 31 yuan."

So certainly auto workers there cannot afford to buy any of their own products.

By comparison the average U.S. auto worker earns
$49,095 per year with top pay averaging $62,500, according to Ziprecruiter. It takes 50 workers to build one car in the U.S. I was unable to find how many it takes in China, but it is probably more than that (it takes 100 in Japan) but who cares when you are paying them two bucks an hour and they are happy to get it?

I've said it before and I'll say it again; China is a paper tiger; it's success has been entirely built on the mistakes and assistance of the Western elites and it will fail spectacularly once the policies that provided China with what it needed are changed. If Trump squeezes China it will fold. Of course it might be most unpleasant in it's death throes.

Myorkas Wants States to Lead on Drones

Timothy Birdnow

Al My-dorkass (Myorkas) head of DHS, says states should be given the authority to shoot down drones.

The disgraced, impeached My-dorkass apparently doesn't realize that firefighters and other emergency workers frequently shoot down drones interfering with their work. Firefighters often just hose the darned nosey things.

And the states have the authority under article-1 section-10 clause-3 of the U.S. constitution:

"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."

What is this but "immanent danger" from a potential foreign power?

And if this is not a foreign power? Then it is a matter of policing and police have always had the authority to shoot at fleeing criminals.

Federal law allows governors to have control over airspaces around airports and other such facilities. They may not be legally allowed to shoot down a drone elsewhere, but when they impinge on airports they can take them out.

Myorkas is tossing out red herrings here to hide his own culpability in this matter.

Frankly, any governor who does shoot one of these down will be a hero and can look to win higher office. I am particularly thinking of Pennsylvania's Governor Josh Shapiro, who could hand himself the Democratic nomination by doing it. He would be unstoppable if he took one of these out (provided the Biden DOJ doesn't take HIM out first, that is).

You will notice most of the drone incidents have been in Democrat-controlled states like New York or Pennsylvania where the governors won't dare take such action. The drones in Florida seem to have stopped - before DeSantis could order them taken out. And Ohio is run by the appropriately named Mike Dewhine, er, Dewine, a RINO weenie. Only Virginia seems to be a Red state that is still experiencing a lot of drone visits while having a MAGA governor.

And don't tell me Myorkas doesn't know exactly who is sending these things and why! He's a fool but not THAT big a fool!

I'm sick to death of our government gaslighting us all the time. Trump is right; time to shoot these things down and tell the world what they are.

Dominoes Falling in Germany

Timothy Birdnow

More of the Trump Effect. Germany's chancellor is being forced out after a vote of no-confidence in the Bundestag, the German parliament.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz allegedly hoped for this outcome as it will allow him to sack all of his coalition partners and run again free of them. BUt I would argue this is in fact a coefficient of the worldwide MAGA revolution, that Scholz was so weak he had to take drastic action. Establishment leaders are suffering worldwide these days.

Elections will be held in late February.

Scholz is the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SPD),a leftist party. His coalition partners were the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and the Greens - both left leaning parties themselves.

The coalition crack-up came over a dispute with his finance minister (from the SPD) over how to fix the lousy German economy.

His Finance Minister -Christian Lindner - was proposing tax cuts, something anathema to the more socialistic FDP.

Schulz has dreadful public opinion numbers yet believes he can win re-election come February.

I believe his declining popularity is as much tied to the invasion of Middle Eastern colonists as it is to the terrible economy his policies have produced. The German public has had enough.

A poll back in September showed 73% of respondents support increased border controls, while 71% favor deporting the invaders.

Couple that with the fact Germany is paying to support all of these military-aged men (As of 2019 the foreign residents of Germany numbers 26% of the total inhabitants of Germany. And Muslims account for six percent of the German population at least (probably more as there are many illegal aliens in the country not counted by official census records). Germany spends a whopping 30% of it's GDP on welfare programs, and the aliens are sucking a lot of that up. Half of all German Muslims are unemployed.

Immigration is an economic issue. Yet Schulz wants more, more, more aliens.

The German People are now saying mach Deutschland wieder gross - MDWG. (That means Make Germany Great Again in Deutsch.)

The big lie has always been that the West needs more immigrants to cover for population decline, to "do the jobs westerners just won't do" and to pay into the generous social safety net so native born folks can enjoy a life of leisure. But it hasn't worked out that way at all. Instead we've made the immigrants the top of the food chain and the native born have increasingly been pushed into the shadows.

And whose idea were at work that required these immigrants in the first place? Paul Ehrlich and the Club of Rome created the population control movement that led to the western World's decline in population growth while at the same time the generous welfare and retirement benefits made for a lazy working class that required new people to come in and fill those jobs. Socialism made us all soft and then we have to pay for that by being erased from our own lands. In fact our leadership tells us to shut up and go away and die already so this new nation, an alien nation, may take over.

The Progressives did this to us, then blame us for resisting them over our own demise.

I think the German People are waking up, realizing their nation is in peril. Everyone needs to remember who and what they were before the Anschluss of Europe and this whole utopian idea of international socialism and world government took hold of our nations, like a nasty infection.

Milei in Argentina started the ball rolling, and Trump has driven it forward. Now the dominoes are starting to drop all over the world.

Is this the end of the oppression of the radical left? Perhaps. If it is the Will of God. But it will still require a big, big fight. It's hard for people to turn down free stuff and stand on their own two feet. Ask any trust fund kid.

But this is a good start. Well begun is half done, the saying goes. Maybe we've started something that cannot be stopped. At least we must hope as much.

Dem Judge Refuses to Toss Trump Conviction

Timothy Birdnow

Proof tthis was always about politics and not about justice or the law.

Breaking — Judge Merchan refuses to throw out Trump conviction based on ‘presidential immunity.’

Merchan keeps foot-dragging, knowing full well Trump would win on appeal. He doesn't want to appeal; he wants Trump stuck in limbo, with this hanging over him. He hopes that the political climate will become more favorable in a few years then he can throw the book at Trump as soon as he leaves office. Oh, and they can continue to call him a convicted felon.

So Trump has to keep wasting time and money on this thing while Merchan wastes taxpayer dollars. It's not costing Him anything!

I hope there are private investigators looking into this judge's own affairs. He needs to be taken to the woodshed one way or another.

Merchan knows full well this was intimately intertwined with Trump's duties as President of the United States and that he has no authority over this matter any longer. (Who would doubt that the "hush money" aka NdE was about protecting the dignity of the office of the President?) He also knows that Alvin Bragg created several new legal theories to turn what was at most a misdemeanor and a FEDERAL crime into a state violation. But Merchan refuses to drop this despite the fact he's undoubtedly facing a major spanking when this gets to a higher court. That is at least part of the reason he won't let it go to a higher court; he wants control of this.

In a sane state this man would be removed from office. We need to find proof of collusion with the Democrats, or corruption from him (something I'm sure is there - almost every Democrat has some dirt under their fingernails).

To quote Tony Montana in Scarface "if you want to play rough, say hello to my little friend!"

Trudeau Falling Down

Timothy Birdnow

Justin "Baby Doc" Trudeau is about to resign his post as his government is facing complete collapse after the Trump revolution in the U.S.

It's well past time the Trudeau's left the political scene in Canada.

This would not have happened had Trump not won last month. Trump has been the grain of sand around which the pearl of wisdom has formed inside the oyster of political life here and it is reverberating around the world. Just as the American revolution led to the fall of the monarchy in France and eventually most of the western world, so too is the election of Trump leading to the fall of the wokeocracy around the globe.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out of the igloo chum!

Cheney Referred for Prosecution

Timothy Birdnow

Liz Shady, er, Cheney has been referred for criminal prosecution for witness tampering!

While Merrick Garland will no doubt try to dismiss this, he won't be able to before Pam Bondi takes the reins.

It has come to light Cheney was texting with star witness Cassidy Hutchinson behind her lawyer's back (and the backs of the Trump attorneys) and likely suborning perjury.

No wonder the Dems were floating the idea of Biden issuing a pre-emptive pardon for the rabid ex-congresswoman.

I wonder who she will throw under the bus if she's facing jail time?

The whole J6 committee belongs behind bars; it was nothing but a frame up of Trump from the very beginning and that is now coming to light.
