How Dumb the Climate Crisis?

James Doogue

The push for net zero is the new religion. The rich can afford to pay for indulgences to carry on their lifestyles under decarbonisation . But decarbonisation will cost the lower and middle class a greater part of their income and dramatically restrict their lifestyles.

Meanwhile global temperature has failed to rise as predicted by the global warmists, despite massive corruption of temperature records to 'cool' the past to make warming seem more significant.

All the other markers of climate catastrophe have been delayed from the scary predictions repeated every decade since the 1980's. We keep getting told humanity has just 10 years before everything is a disaster.

- The oceans are rising in some places, falling in others. Easily explained by subsidence and geological movements mainly.

- The Great Barrier Reef is not only still there, but as healthy as ever.

- The Maldives, which should have been underwater by now have completed a new airport and multiple new hotel resorts with plans for more.

- Sea ice extent in the Arctic and Antarctic is above average.

- The rate of ice melt in Greenland is no greater than it has been since the Little Ice Age.

- NASA satellites show the planet has greened by more than 17% in the last 30 years due to CO2 fertilisation of plants. Plants thrive with greater access to CO2, are more productive and are more drought tolerant.

- The globe has avoided mass starvation predicted in the 1960's to happen from the 1980's onwards, due to the population explosion because crops are more productive. Largely this is because we have developed more hardy and productive grains and other crops, but also because greater atmospheric CO2 has increased productivity.

- Areas where glaciers are reversing, or permafrost is thawing it is being revealed that forests and grasslands once thrived before the advent of the Little Ice Age.

Releasing these frozen lands so they provide land where plants, animals and humans can once more survive, can only be considered a bad thing by wealthy people who own much of the world's arable land.

In fact if the world does warm by the 1.5°C - 2.0°C we are told to dread, there will be more positive than negative outcomes for the world's plants, animals marine-life and humans. You don't have to be a scientist to know this. Just compare the life in the tropics, compared to temperate zones and then arctic regions. On land or in the oceans, the warmer climes do better. Desserts exist across all latitudes.

COP26 spent no time trying to prove the theory that human CO2 emissions will cause catastrophic climate change. The decades of propaganda has meant that is taken as a given. Despite the fact the long term ice core data which they once used to prove the correlation between atmospheric CO2 and global temperature actually shows that rising temperatures come before rising CO2 levels, not the other way round.

Only the unthinking morons and those who cheer the policy outcomes now accept that human CO2 emissions are causing uncontrollable global temperature increases causing catastrophic climate change.

You can't logically believe, as the Extinction Rebellion people claim, that there's only about 22 years to go before a mass extinction event, and at the same time cheer China's commitment to be net zero by 2060. That's 39 years from now, by which time they will be responsible for emitting most of the globes human CO2 emissions.

That's how dumb the climate issue has become.

Why Socialism Fails

Without ownership, there is no exchange. Without exchange, there are no prices. Without prices, there is no economic calculation. Without economic calculation, production decisions are made in the dark. When that happens, basic needs go unmet. - Ludwig von Mises, describing why socialism fails

Unlikely Infection Rates

Bill H.

In regards to claims half of America has been infected with Covid 19:

Highly unlikely. For one thing, I believe virtually nothing that the CDC reports. In addition, consider a couple of cases:

Diamond Princess. Several thousand people cooped up in a ship at sea, eating in communal facilities, served by common waitstaff, breathing recirculated air, for weeks. 100% tested, and only 20% were infected.

USS Theodore Rooseveldt. Crew even more cramped, Eating together, sleeping in common bunk areas, bathing in communal showers, using communal sanitary facilities. Two months at sea. 100% tested, and only 20% were infected.

And yet the CDC wants us to believe that in the diverse and widely spread US population, 50% were infected? Not likely.

Weather Gods

Dallas Jackson

WEATHER HOAXS

Native American societies all had their Weather Gods religions like we do today with The Climate Change cult religion. The Inca Mayan and Aztec societies sacrificed Thousands of their citizens to promote the settled weather science of their times outcomes The left has combined religion Pseudoscience and politics all together in Global weather hoax crisis. Is this even legal. Or Moral? I don’t think so.

About that FBI Raid on O'Keefe...

Steven Chase

THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE this weekend. Please read 30 seconds from my friend, David Gaudrault:

Project Veritas is a journalistic concern owned and operated by James O’Keefe, famous for exposing corruption and nefarious activities. Project Veritas has an ACTIVE defamation lawsuit against The NY Times and things are not going well for the newspaper.

Project Veritas came into a copy of Joe Biden’s daughter’s diary, which contains her description of her father showering with her when she was a young girl and she considered it inappropriate.

Project Veritas DID NOT PUBLISH one single word from that diary because they were unable to authenticate it. Like journalists should.
This past week, the FBI raided James O’Keefe’s home, entering with a battering ram, searching his home while he was outside in handcuffs and seized his cellphone.

O’Keefe’s phone contains highly sensitive & consequential information about sources, future stories, and employees' personal info.
Yesterday the New York Times published attorney-client privileged emails, showing Veritas obtaining legal opinions to ensure they violated no laws if they went forward with stories.

A federal judge has noted the obvious hanky-panky and collusion between the FBI & the Times. In what world does the FEDERAL government have law enforcement jurisdiction over a lost/stolen diary, even if it belonged to the daughter of the President? That is a matter for the appropriate police department.
A Special Prosecutor should be appointed immediately.
The FBI is too broken to fix. (me here: It has become the KGB of the Left)

NO MORE!

David C. Moyer:

I have consistently said that Kyle Rittenhouse should not have been there but he is perfectly innocent of any charges because what he did was in self defense. In one way, I'm going to say he shouldn't have been there- he shouldn't have needed to be there, but he showed us our faults by being there, and was a hero because he went there.

We as a society have become too soft and complacent in allowing rioters and other criminals free reign to destroy and threaten. We don't arrest and prosecute them. We don't threaten them so that they don't do the theft and property damage. We have tied the hands of the police so that they can't perform that job, and yet, we don't step in to take over what they aren't allowed to do. It is time to make a major change in attitude. If there is another riot in Kenosha, every able bodied citizen should line the sidewalks three deep armed with whatever they have. If they have ARs, fine. If they have a 12 gauge shotgun- fine. If they have a deer rifle- fine. If all they have is a baseball bat (more deadly weapon than any firearm at close range), or butcher knife, or pepper spray- bring lots of pepper spray even if you have weapons- pitch fork, axe, or even trained fists- fine. Be there so a Kyle doesn't feel the need to be there. If the local citizens can't step up to the plate due to cowardice- it is time for thousands or tens of thousands of us skilled shooters to show up and line the streets three deep. IT IS TIME for us to take back this country from the criminals- no more playing nice. NO MORE!

Tim adds:

So very well said David! I agree 100% with your assessment. We have allowed this country to be taken over by barbarians and they are protected by a complicit media and a Ruling Class that sees advantage in this. We as a People owe it to our civilization, our parents, our grandparents, all those who bequeethed this to us, and to the children who come after us, to take action to put a stop to this. It's going to require some courage, especially with the radicals who have taken the positions of power ie. prosecutors and mayors and the like. But think about what our forefathers did to save their country? All of the Founders knew they would be hanged if caught by Britain. How many died in that war? How many died in the Civil War? This is small potatoes next to those. We may not be the men they were, but we certainly can show up at a riot and restore order if the police are not allowed to do so. This is America; we do things as citizens, not wait for things to be done as subjects.

The Alchemists

I caught this on Facebook. Pretty much nails it:

By Bartholomew Chiaroscuro

Aynsley Kellow in The Spectator has an article pointing out some of the absurdities of the ‘green’ argument being forced down our throats at the moment. My friend Richard North has posted the whole thing if you want to read it.

Some highlights struck me.

How about ‘renewables’ producing 300 times more waste than nuclear plants?

How about a renewables plant, solar or wind power, requiring 17 times more steel to build then a nuclear plant, and 30 times more concrete?

How about the production of solar panels releasing complex chemicals that have 200 times the global warming impact of carbon dioxide?

How about the production of these panels and wind turbines in China itself being reliant entirely on coal supplied energy?

In medieval times people seriously believed in alchemy. Alchemists searched for the means to turn lead into gold, instantly. But their quest was also a spiritual one. They searched for the philosophers' stone, the means to turn the ‘clay’ of humanity, by the addition of a chemical discovery, into the ‘gold’ of a superior and worthier, more spiritual, more angelic, being.

Much has been made of the cult-like aspects of modern environmentalis m. It’s been pointed out that it has key aspects of religious fundamentalism to it--the belief that man is flawed and sinful, the belief that punishment for the sins is required, the belief that natural disasters are God’s or Nature’s reactions to these sins, the belief in a coming apocalypse, and the belief in a moral divide between the sacred, sanctified, holy and enlightened people, the believers, and the obscene, polluting, unholy and unenlightened people, the sceptics.

It’s the ‘coming apocalypse’ bit that really should tell everyone this stuff isn’t rational. But look at the other elements too. How is any belief system that includes all of these aspects of religious fundamentalism ‘scientific’?

It’s also difficult to point out to such people when their policies are damaging. The damage, to us, to human sinners, is the point. We must be punished for the crimes of industrialisati on and for escaping a past in which natural man only lived to 35. We sinned. Therefore we deserve higher taxes and don’t deserve heated homes.

But I think I’m the first to note the similarity with alchemy. Because the solutions being proposed are purely magical ones directly akin to the idea of transmuting lead into gold. What we are told to invest trillions of pounds in is a transmutation of our economy, our way of life, our standards of living. We are told that we turning lead into gold, and this is possible.
It isn’t.

Renewables don’t really work. They might with much more research and development work. They don’t work now.

They are inefficient. They are costly. They are unreliable. They can’t meet current energy needs, let alone future ones. They require support from other energy sources. They produce massive environmental costs themselves. They rely on highly polluting processes for their creation.

They are lead. In terms of energy supply, we are exchanging gold for lead. But there is a purely magical belief we are getting something better. And it’s a mystical, spiritual belief too. It is making us better. We are improved by doing it. We are transmuted into angelic beings. That’s even before you note how many of these loons are also transhumanists who want us to meddle in human DNA as much as possible. No respect for Nature and it’s boundaries in THAT part of their philosophy.

Our current leaders are like the medieval kings who invited people like John Dee to their courts to commune with angels and produce gold from clay. Some of the alchemists actually made real discoveries, founding the science of chemistry. Most didn’t. Many were total charlatans, who knew that they were lying, some were, like Dee, sincere believers. The whole effort was largely absurd.

In one sense the alchemists were far less dangerous. They didn’t ever suggest totally changing the whole of society and impoverishing the people in pursuit of their claims. They just wanted a laboratory, some funding, and belief in their madness.

How much worse is it when alchemists decide that WE are their laboratory, or the entire planet? How curious it is that people who consider the planet fragile enough to be affected by the accidental crimes of man, never consider that it might be damaged by their deliberate solutions which seek to tamper with global climate processes they can’t fully explain. At one and the same time they tell us that man is too stupid not to damage everything, and that man is so wise that he can change everything at once.

That is the thinking of an alchemist.

CDC No Longer Wants Herd Immunity

This courtesy of Steven Schueler

https://www.latimes.com/science/story/2021-11-12/cdc-shifts-pandemic-goals-away-from-reaching-herd-immunity

"Since the earliest days of the pandemic, there has been one collective goal for bringing it to an end: achieving herd immunity. That’s when so many people are immune to a virus that it runs out of potential hosts to infect, causing an outbreak to sputter out.

Many Americans embraced the novel farmyard phrase, and with it, the projection that once 70% to 80% or 85% of the population was vaccinated against COVID-19, the virus would go away and the pandemic would be over.

Now the herd is restless. And experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have set aside herd immunity as a national goal.

The prospects for meeting a clear herd-immunity target are "very complicated,” said Dr. Jefferson Jones, a medical officer on the CDC’s COVID-19 Epidemiology Task Force.

None Dare Call it Evil

Timothy Birdnow

And the liberals tell us wages are stagnant because of corporate greed. Ri-ight!

Safeway in Castro Cuts Hours Due to "Off the Charts" Shoplifting

Perhaps the cornerstone of liberalism is the proposition that Man is inherently good. The corollary to that is they do bad things because of systemic evil. Not that people are bad or evil.

The end result of this sort of thinking is that people steal because they are being mistreated.

Of course, that completely ignores the white collar crimes, which are done from pure greed. Their answer to that is these are people so embedded in the unjust social order they are corrupted to that point. But how did the social order become corrupted? People are what make up the social order.

The Liberal refusal to believe in the existence of Evil and Original Sin are at the root of their errors, and the cause of most of the ills of our modern world.

Stealing is evil. If we won't call it that we have even bigger problems.

The Immorality of Forcing Children to Get the Covid Vaccine

James Doogue

More proof if you needed it, that Covid-19 isn't a serious risk to the young and healthy.

This data is replicated around the world. This debunks the need for mass lockdowns, covid-19 restrictions and compulsory vaccinations.

By all means encourage the elderly, and those with serious co-morbidities to get vaccinated and take whatever other precautions they want, including wearing masks, or self isolation if they choose.

But it is immoral to force or coerce others to do those things.

Inflation: it's a Biden Thing

Warner Todd Huston

By the way, we need to point out that inflation in the USA is NOT part of a world-wide trend.

At 6.2%, Biden has driven inflation double most of the rest of the industrialized world. For instance, in Britain, inflation is only 2.1% today. France is at 2.6%, Italy 2.9%, Australia, 3%, Canada 4.4%, Germany 4.5%. The next closest is Spain at 5.5%.

My point is, more often in the past when inflation hit the USA it was nearly the same in every western nation. Today it isn't and we can place the blame on Biden.

Tim adds:

AND they are trying to say this is the highest it's been since 1992. That is only technically true. There was a one month spike in the runup to the Gulf War. That truly WAS situational and temporary. This is systemic and sustained.

And yes, it is all Biden's fault. He's killed the energy sector. He's blown through trillions of dollars and simply printed it, Spiked the price of fuel so it is much more expensive to move goods, he's allowed the shipping crisis to metastasize, he's done everything that will lead to hyper-inflation.

The Effects of Covid

This from James G. Gallinger on Covid 19:

The illness rarely has any effect... It is a cold... Look up common cold viruses .... Even wiki knows... If they had any bad reactions or lingering effects it was from a secondary infection like bacterial pneumonia... You should note that wearing a mask INCREASES the chances of secondary infections and death... The clotshot doesn't stop you from catching or transmitting it .... It doesn't lower the symptoms or lower the risk of death... In fact the latest studies are finding that it increases the chances of ending up in the hospital and ICU by up to 132% over the unvaccinated.... https://theexpose.uk/2021/10/29/ukhsa-report-covid-vaccines-negative-effectiveness-minus-132-percent/?fbclid=IwAR20V1reR2O7aWt7zpwY3uBJNTixTNJpftmvscGicSPIFNP9cXwzwHchzn8

The Biden Energy Crisis

Timothy Birdnow

But, but, but...it's like not at all Biden's fault. I mean, he killed the pipelines, stopped fracking, squeezed coal, cut off loans for American oil companies, scared off investors by promising to force an end to oil and gas and make America all-electric, pissed of the Saudis and antagonized the Russian, but hey man! It wasn't his fault!
