I dreamed up this little ditty this morning. Thought it would be fun to post. I think I hit about every point needed for a good country western song.
Don't Swim in Public Pools
by Timothy Birdnow
When I was a little boy
my daddy never brung me any toys
but I sat there plenty with him at the bar
all alone or with his pals
and a bunch of flashy made up gals
and I still remember the words he spoke to me
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
waste your time in sleazy bars
a drink and smoke those cheap cigars
and keep those skanks from sittin' on your knee
Pretty soon I became a man
and took to sittin' on my can
in honky tonks near Houston or Abileen
drinkin' whiskey without ice
playin' cards and shootin' dice
I forgot those words my daddy said to me
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
waste your time in sleazy bars
a drink and smoke those cheap cigars
and keep those skanks from sittin' on your knee
I remember one particular night
with a lady, my she looked a fright
But I was high on booze from Kentucky
she robbed me when it all was done
I remember starin' down the barrel of a gun
but I was way too drunk for me to see
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
waste your time in sleazy bars
a drink and smoke those cheap cigars
and keep those skanks from sittin' on your knee
I won another playin' poker strip
she give me nasty pickle drip
I spent six months chewin penicillin
I know that she was more than willin'
but the burn just wasn't worth the thrillin
nor the cold sore now upon my lip
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
waste your time in sleazy bars
a drink and smoke those cheap cigars
and keep those skanks from sittin' on your knee
When I met Janie I fell real hard
but she maxxed out my credit card
and left by taking my dog from out the yard
she'd asked me if I was a cop
when we first met, I shoudla stopped
But son I never drew that lucky card
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
waste your time in sleazy bars
a drink and smoke those cheap cigars
and keep those skanks from sittin' on your knee
Now I'm getting long in years
I still pound down those Lone Star beers
I still get down with the honky tonkin' scene
I got five kids who call me dad
on greeting cards
it make me sad
I sometimes think how different it could've been
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
waste your time in sleazy bars
a drink and smoke those cheap cigars
and keep those skanks from sittin' on your knee
Now the flag it barely flies
all the ladies laugh at it's small size
and I ain't won a round of poker for a year
my daddy never played the fool he said son take care of all your tools
but at this rate I'll wind up like a steer
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
drunk and broke and awful whoozie
chasin' all those nasty floozies
It just ain't worth it son now don't you see
Son don't swim in public pools
or go to breaking all the rules
you don't want to end up bein' just like me
there ain't no luck in a pickup truck
with a girl who only wants to buck
you just don't want to end up being me

As usual, China pretty much stole its J-35 stealth aircraft.
According to the National Interest:
One suspicion about the sudden advance in China’s aerospace program has been a predictable one: China cheated. One retired U.S. Navy captain described Beijing as having achieved in a decade a level of technical prowess it took the Navy a century to achieve and cited the country’s ability to use both open-source and stolen data to improve its programs.
China has been caught engaging in such operations before. In 2014, a Chinese national was arrested in Canada on suspicion of engaging in cyberattacks; two years later, he pled guilty to stealing data on the design of the F-22 and F-35 jets.
China has certainly made domestic advances in aerospace design, too. Between this and illicitly acquired data, however, there is a strikingandprobablynon-coincidentalsimilarity between the most recent iteration of the J-35 jet andAmerica’sF-35 jet. It remains to be seen, however, if the J-35 jet can perform at the level of its American counterpart.
While you can't blame China for stealing what we leave lying about unguarded, it does illustrate that China is in fact a paper tiger. They never actually develop their own tech but steal it from us.But it won't make the weapon any less lethal if we go to war with China.
The real evil is our own government, who not only allowed China to become a superpower at our expense but actually encouraged it - and still does.

Having an argument on Facebook (again). A woman named Sheryl Zettner says:
Why are we (in the US) the world's largest oil consumer still? We need to get off fossil fuels.
Daniel L. Wells says:
Country's in Europe run on wind mills they have no trouble in winter and they get colder there.
Stephen Fox retorts:
There's a lot of maintenance on those. Have you seen the scrap yards full of fiberglass propellers that they don't know what to do with? And China with the most windpower capacity is building hundreds of coal fired power plants this year.
Daniel Wells replies in the usual leftie condescending fashion:
You sending laughing emojis shows how little brain you have not smart at all.If you live in Texas that says it all. A state with a very bad power grid.
Stephen Fox replies:
3%...3%. Of all the windwills and solar we have, make up all our energy here in the United States. Shows your lack of intelligence. Let me guess.. Your from California?
I chime in:
Daniel L. Wells "Get by fine on renewables?" In case you missed it they had to build a pipeline from Russia to get natural gas because those "fine" renewables aren't worth a crap. And they pay through the nose for energy in Europe. https://dailycaller.com/2016/05/01/these-maps-show-just-how-much-more-europeans-pay-for-electricity-than-americans/ BTW Texas gets one fifth of it's energy from "renewables" https://www.eia.gov/state/analysis.php?sid=TX "Renewable energy fueled more than one-fifth of all utility-scale net generation in Texas in 2020, and the state accounted for one-fifth of the nation's utility-scale electricity generation from nonhydroelectric renewable sources.120 Wind accounts for nearly all of the electricity generated from renewable resources in Texas. The state leads the nation in wind-powered electricity generation, producing almost three-tenths of the U.S. total in 2020.121,122" That is why they had that big power outage last winter. The windmills froze up.

Arguing with a dope who denies Biden is responsible for the increase in the price of gasoline.
Eric Henner says:
But ignoring Canadian oil.XL pipeline cancelled on his first day in office,
Robert Kurt Damrau takes exception:
Eric Henner that pipeline was not going to carry any oil for the unites states it was all going to china every single drop it can not be used here because of the amount of sulfur it contains American cars will not run on tar sand oil . the fact is biden has approved over 2100 oil leases on federal land since January and we are the largest producer of oil in the world since august 18.5 million barrels a day we are at the lowest import number on oil in 30 years we now produce 75 percent of our own oil and are exporting millions of barrels a day under a law that trump passed that allows American oil companies to sell our oil outside of the united states which they could not do before trump and irt goes to china were trump wanted it sold
I retort:
I see you don't cite your sources Robert Kurt Damrau. I rather suspect someone who hands out numbers without citing a source.
Biden most certainly tried to suspend oil and gas leases. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/27/biden-suspends-oil-and-gas-drilling-in-series-of.html He even appealed this in court. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/biden-admin-appeal-order-blocking-oil-gas-lease-79488580 BIDEN wanted to stop drilling. https://www.npr.org/2021/06/15/1006948814/bidens-ban-on-new-oil-and-gas-leases-is-blocked-by-a-federal-judge He canned all drilling in Alaska. https://www.nbcnews.com/business/energy/biden-suspends-oil-drilling-leases-alaska-s-arctic-refuge-n1269270 I suspect your claim is he was forced to renew drilling - not that he approved new drilling. Or we are to believe that Mr. Biden had some sort of change of heart?
This article https://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/us-drilling-approvals-increase-biden-climate-pledge-78803956 admits Biden has changed his position - but only after the damage was done. I guess you missed that.
Biden also dragged his feet on the leases you brag about. https://headlineusa.com/biden-admin-disobeys-judges-order-drags-feet-on-oil-gas-leases/ Remember, these leases were already negotiated and were never supposed to have been canceled. You credit Biden with doing what he was obligated to do.
And oil imports have been dropping for years https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2018-07-10/eia-us-net-oil-imports-to-drop-to-lowest-levels-in-60-years; Biden merely is riding this crest. But his actions are killing the oil and gas markets even while we are importing less oil.
As to your assertion that all the oil would be exported to China, why send it to the Gulf of Mexico and not California? It was going to refineries in the Gulf. IF it was intended for export to China the Canadians could have done it themselves. But WE were making the profit of refining this oil - not China. The overall market is important, not just what is sold here.
Even the left-wing Politifact says your claim is false. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2017/apr/16/kirsten-gillibrand/will-oil-keystone-xl-pipeline-stay-us/
Oh, and oil is used for more things than gasoline. Even if what you say is true about the sulfur making it impossible to use it would still relieve us of having to use our low sulfur oil for plastics and whatnot.
As for the business about sulfur, I find no proof of your claim it cannot be used. It is just a matter of refining the sulfur out. Tar sand bitumen can indeed be refined as needed. Environmentalists just don't like the process.
The biggest thing Mr. Biden did to cause this price spike was promise to destroy the oil and gas industries via a return to the Paris Accord, as well as his promise to kill drilling on public lands. Oil and gas prices are based on futures, and if you frighten investors you wind up with the price of gas and oil skyrocketing. Couple that with his pissing off the Saudis over that Kashoggi business and he drove the price through the roof. He has also made it increasingly difficult for oil and gas companies to get the loans they need. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/gop-senators-warn-biden-administration-on-de-banking-energy-companies
Sorry, but this problem is entirely owned by Mr. Biden.
Oh, and who has been in bed with the Chinese? Hmm? It wasn't Trump. See https://nypost.com/article/hunter-biden-china-timeline-business-ties/ and https://www.newsweek.com/biden-administration-china-ties-reveal-deeper-disturbing-truth-opinion-1572589 and https://nypost.com/2021/09/25/joe-biden-and-china-on-a-collusion-course-goodwin/ and https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2021/09/26/peter_schweizer_senior_people_in_bidens_administration_and_family_have_financial_ties_to_china.html
I suppose you forgot that Trump imposed tariffs on China.

With such a major rise in fuel prices, coupled with the fact so many ships are stranded in the ocean, is it any wonder? It won't last though.

Gas is going up. Biden wants to close down US oil and natural gas gas production. And then begs foriegn producers to make more. That weakens America and causes prices to rise. Dumb dumb.
According to Reuters:
Oil and gas are the lifeblood of modern technology. "Renewables" are a red herring to force us into the straightjacket of energy dependency. And I don't mean just on the Middle East (although that certainly is a goal of the internationalists
It means having government control us by controlling our energy usage. Smart meters are an example; they want to be able to simply shut us down when they decide to do so.
It's called a hydraulic empire. Ancient totalitarians controlled the flow of water. We saw this in Egypt and China and other totalitarian states in the ancient world. By control of rivers and canals they could simply stop the flow of water to a rebellious province and crush them. Nobody dared challenge Pharoah lest they go thirsty.
It made Pharoah a god.
Control of electricity and heat and mobility would give the State even greater power than Pharoah had over the citizenry. Rationing is a critical part of the left's dream of a socialist world. Socialism always requires rationing in order to work; you have to have the few goods available as an incentive to obedience to the central authority. Oil and gas are the primary weapons of choice of the Left.
So naturally they want us energy dependent. Global warming was a major tool in their arsenal; they can claim our actions are harming people in other countries, and so we MUST cut back our energy usage. Then when they have control of our energy usage they can threaten to cut us off if we don't toe the line.
I'm not saying everyone in Biden's junta thinks this way but certainly the inner cadre who Biden represents believe in this. It is ultimately about power and control.
Franz Unterreiner adds:
President Trump made our country energy independent, only to have his success overturned by Biden on day one of Biden's presidency. That forced our country to once again be dependent on foreign oil. Biden said his action would help protect the environment. We scratch our heads and wonder how it makes sense to ship millions of barrels of oil on cargo ships from thousands of miles away, only to be used the same way it was used when it was processed here. Does foreign oil have less environmental effect than American oil?

Yep - the Greeks can be credited with winning the War. Had they surrendered Hitler would have invaded Russia far earlier and quite possibly have secured the eastern front. It would have been a very different war.
From Stephen Kaludis
Happy "OXI†or No day. October 28th 1940 when the Greek Prime Minister told the Italians No to surrendering Greece without a fight. The Greeks beat the Italians for one of the first victories of WW 2 causing the Germans to take over the fight and delayed the Russian invasion by several crucial months.

What are these Politicians thinking? So, people that were breaking our laws in the first place are now being rewarded for their illegal actions.🤬
"The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that
were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person
in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as
several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents
and children who say the government subjected them to lasting
psychological trauma.
The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland
Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that
could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers
could shift, the people familiar with the matter said. Most of the
families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum
in the U.S. included one parent and one child, the people said. Many
families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their
circumstances, the people said."

In the following I describe my own anecdotes on the topic and those of someone I know to be honest to a fault who writes:
'One of my frustrations is the inability to seek the truth. We have to rely on anecdotes. And while anecdotes do not make good science, they can certainly help formulate a hypothesis from which scientific Enquiry can occur.
To this end, I question the sheer volume of personal anecdotes of adverse reactions to the Covid vaccines currently on offer in Australia and compare them to the anecdotes I have heard over the entire course of my lifetime about adverse reactions to all other vaccines such as regular childhood vaccine, the flu shot, travel vaccines.
In my case - these are a big fat zero (although of course I know such reactions do occur - just not that I have personally known). It gets harder to stay out of the rabbit holes as time goes by.'
This is why we need a Royal Commission to investigate the State and Federal Government's response to the pandemic which must include the vaccine mandate and what systems were set up to collect short, medium and long term adverse reactions. We know we can't rely on Big Pharma to tell us the truth!
My Relevant Medical History
I have a blood disorder diagnosed when I was 41, which causes me some medical problems. I suffer chronic pain from degenerative osteoarthritis of the spine (spondylosis), in a number of locations since my early 40's. I also suffer from widespread muscle pain and tenderness which has been diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. Thought to be part of 'post viral syndrome' resulting from catching Mumps in my early 40's despite having been exposed to mumps as a child.
As is common, the fibromyalgia is accompanied by fatigue and adversely impacted sleep, memory and as with anyone in pain, mood. Pain medication taken for spondylosis exacerbates fatigue and brain function. The blood disorder impacts my level of energy, strength and recovery from vigorous activity.
This all means that on some days, I'm totally useless and other days less so. On some days I take more pain meds than I should, to enable me to join in with an important activity, then I pay the price in the following days.
Days like today, the pain, drugs and fatigue conspire to make typing this an incredibly difficult task, which hopefully isn't noticeable in the finished product.
My Vaccine Experience
I had my first AstraZenaca vaccination in early June and my second on 6th August. I received a government automated follow-up to check on my response to the vaccine which I duly completed.
About 24 hours after the first vaccine I suffered as if I had a severe infection. A high temperature, pain and general weakness. I didn't seek medical assistance because I was aware the reaction was not abnormal. Had I been in paid employment I would have missed a week from work.
After the second vaccination, I had no discernable adverse response.
The above is what's in the TGA's record of vaccine response based on the surveys I completed.
What isn't in the report is that since 'recovering' from that first jab, the level of pain and fatigue I have been suffering has increased notably. The automated survey didn't allow for inclusion of such information had I recognised the response was more than transient back then.
Joint inflammation has increased. Glands in my neck are swollen and sensitive to touch. I'm more fatigued and needing to sleep during the day more, and have had to take significantly more pain medication.
The evidence is clear. My long term pain
medication consumption records reflect the increase in medication
consumed post-vaccinatio
My scores in the fortnightly shooting competition I participate in have plummeted, because of reduced strength and focus.
I have cancelled or pulled out of more family and social events since the vaccinations.
My GP is adamant I'm not suffering an adverse reaction to the vaccination. But how can she be sure? The swollen glands in my neck indicate an infection, but no specific infection has been found. I've been prescribed antibiotics anyway. There's no explanation for the increased pain, but the morning dose of pain meds has been doubled.
Given we are still learning about the Covid-19 virus, how can we be so certain what is, and isn't an adverse vaccine response? Particularly when no other medical explanation is offered?
Other's Experience
This is the verbatim experience of one friend.
"Anecdotally I know many people who have had reactions - from mild to severe. Yet the common theme is that when they reach out for medical assistance they are all universally told there is no correlation with the vaccine.
My daughter is now experiencing daily headaches.
Her friend (male) presented to hospital with chest pain and was diagnosed with pericarditis after his 1st jab. He was told there is no connection and despite his heart damage, will not be issued an exemption for the 2nd jab.
A dear friend got shingles.
My brother had an anaphylactic reaction less than 24 hours after his first needle.
There are many more in my own circle alone.

Biden admin barred from firing unvaccinated employees after DC judge issues injunction
A Washington, D.C., district court judge issued a temporary restraining order Thursday that prevents both civilian and active-duty military plaintiffs from being terminated after they sued the Biden administration over religious exemptions to COVID-19 vaccines.
"None of the civilian employee plaintiffs will be subject to discipline while his or her request for a religious exception is pending," District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ordered, according to a Minute Order obtained by Fox News.
The judge also ruled that "active duty military plaintiffs, whose religious exception requests have been denied, will not be disciplined or separated during the pendency of their appeals."
The court further ordered the defendants in the Biden administration to file a supplemental notice by noon on Friday that indicates whether they will agree that no plaintiff will be disciplined or terminated pending the court's ruling.
"The Biden administration has shown an unprecedented, cavalier attitude toward the rule of law and an utter ineptitude at basic constitutional contours," said the plaintiffs' attorney Michael Yoder in a statement to Fox News.
"This combination is dangerous to American liberty," Yoder continued. "Thankfully, our Constitution protects and secures the right to remain free from religious persecution and coercion. With this order, we are one step closer to putting the Biden administration back in its place by limiting government to its enumerated powers. It’s time citizens and courts said no to tyranny. The Constitution does not need to be rewritten, it needs to be reread."

Another Chinese property company (Modern Land) has missed its loan payment. This company and others together owe hundreds of billions in debt that is on their balance sheet and some news reports indicate these companies used accounting tricks to move some of their debt off of their balance sheets. (Anyone remember Enron?)
This is building up to be the biggest economic collapse in history.

Now a report from the U.K. confirms suspicions I and others have long held, that the Covid vaccine may in fact make things worse.
https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-uk-report-raises-concerns-about-suboptimal-vaccine-antibodies-erasing-natural-immunity?fbclid=IwAR0CqAdJuIUWnVOxhhEhng1N2gf4KvK12LMa27CqwkICUHmu62yv_HpdWRg
From the Blaze article:
On page 23 of PHE's "COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report Week 42," British health officials report a shocking finding. They believe their serology tests are underestimating the number of people with prior infection due to "recent observations from UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) surveillance data that N antibody levels appear to be lower in individuals who acquire infection following 2 doses of vaccination." In other words, the vaccine might be reducing the all-important N antibodies that one generates from natural infection. Kudos to former NYT reporter Alex Berenson for discovering this important point."
