NASA'S TESS satellite (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) has found a planet not much larger than Earth in the habitable zone around a star 101.5 light years away.
From the article:
TESS found three different planets circling the star TOI 700 (TOI is short for "Tess Object of Interest"). One of the other planets is a red dwarfabout 40% as massive, 40% as wide and 50% as hot as Earth's sun. The innermost world, TOI 700 b, is roughly Earth-sized and completes one orbit every 10 Earth days. The center planet, TOI 700 c, is 2.6 times bigger than our planet, meaning it's likely a gassy "mini-Neptune," and zips around TOI 700 every 16 days.
TOI 700 d, the outermost known planet in the system, is the really intriguing one. It's just 20% larger than Earth and completes one orbit every 37 days. The alien world receives 86% of the stellar energy that Earth gets from the sun, putting TOI 700 d in the habitable zone (at least as it's traditionally defined), discovery team members said.
All three planets may be tidally locked to TOI 700, always showing it the same face just as Earth's moon only ever shows us its near side. But tidal locking doesn't necessarily preclude the possibility of life on an alien world, astronomers say. And there's more good news along these lines regarding TOI 700.
"In 11 months of data, we saw no flares from the star, which improves the chances TOI 700 d is habitable and makes it easier to model its atmospheric and surface conditions," discovery team leader Emily Gilbert, a graduate student at the University of Chicago, said in the same statement.
(Red dwarfsare generally much more active than the sun, and there's considerable debate about how habitable their planets may be as a result. Frequent and powerful flaring, for example, can strip away a planet's atmosphere.)
It's fascinating if only academic; we won't be going there any time soon, if ever. But it is fun to consider that there may be a planet that COULD be habitable, or made so at some point.

Interstellar probes may use light sails that are essentially compact discs or DVD's.
From Space.com:
The $100 illion Breakthrough Starshot initiative, which was announced in 2016, plans to launch swarms of microchip-size spacecraft to Alpha Centauri, each of them sporting extraordinarily thin, incredibly reflective sails propelled by the most powerful lasers ever built. The plan has them flying at up to 20% the speed of light, reaching Alpha Centauri in about 20 years.
One concern with using laser sails is that if they drift out of alignment with the propelling laser beams — which will be based here on Earth, at least initially, inBreakthrough Starshot's plan— they may veer wildly off course from their targets. Now scientists have designed and tested a new sail that could in principle automatically keep itself centered on a laser beam for the required few minutes, allowing a spacecraft to stay on course for interplanetary or even interstellar journeys.
Now the article author gets it wrong; 20% of lightspeed would be the MAXIMUM speed; it takes a long time to get there, especially using light pressure. It would take more than 20 years, in my opinion, to reach the Centauri systems. The author just took the distance (4.3 ly) and multiplied by five. It's sloppy work for a science publication. And they won't be able to slow down, which means flashing through the system at this ferocious velocity. We won't learn all that much.
And we'll have to keep the laser going all that time. I rather doubt funding will last that long.
But be that as it may it's fascinating that it may be possible to send probles to nearby stars. But I'm not holding my breath.
One thing is certain; there are enough DVD discs to convert to light sails around. I have dozens here in my home!

Reforms in New York City have allowed the release of terrorists from custody, and with a porous border, America is ripe for terrorist attacks on soft targets, particularly in the rural areas.
Author Anthony Sabio - a special forces guy, Secret Service agent, and CIA man, pens an interesting piece albeit a bit long.
It's hard to excerpt, so read it for yourself. He ties a few things together that I hadn't considered, although he spends most of his time on DeBlasio's "criminal justice reforms".

A group of liberal Evangelicals have written an open letter to Donald Trump decrying his faith.
Here is the letter:
Dear President Trump,
Mr. President, you are coming to our home in Florida to launch a new coalition for your reelection campaign called "Evangelicals for Trump." As members of the Christian faith, we cannot stand idly by while you attempt to co-opt our religion for your political gain and claim support from our community.
You are coming here to make promises you’re incapable of fulfilling and profess values you possess in name only. In the gospel of John, the Lord tells us: let us not to serve Him "in word or talk, but in deed and in truth.
Mr. President, you espouse the words of Christian values, but your policies and your behavior do not reflect that. There is absolutely nothing good or virtuous about tearing immigrant families apart, cutting programs for the poor while giving hundreds of millions of tax cuts to the wealthiest among us, or threatening to take away healthcare from those with preexisting conditions — all of which are lynchpins of your agenda.
Jesus expects us to care for rich and poor alike. But, while you passed tax breaks for the rich, you have tried to make massive cuts to programs like SNAP that address the growing problem of hunger in America. In Florida, about 200,000 children could lose their access to free lunches under changes your administration has planned.
When you were a candidate in Florida, you promised to "massively lower your taxes. That’s businesses. That’s middle income That’s everybody." But you broke that promise to help "everybody." Almost half of the tax cuts are going to the richest 1 percent of Florida taxpayers. Worse, your tax bill raises taxes on 3.6 million middle and low-income Floridians. Helping to enrich those who already have plenty while burdening those who are struggling is not reflective of our Christian values.
Christ helped to heal the sick and Christians have spent decades working to ease suffering. Instead of working to expand affordable healthcare -- you have attempted to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). You put protections for people with preexisting conditions at risk, threatening their ability to afford care.
If you succeed in dismantling the ACA, coverage protections for 3,526,000 Floridians with preexisting conditions would be in danger. It would also eliminate benefits, including maternity care coverage and the ability for children to stay on their parent’s insurance up to age 26. Your mission to dismantle our health care system is not only bad policy, but it is immoral and is not Christian.
What have you done to "love thy neighbor as thyself?" You ordered your administration to separate immigrant families and detain children in prison-like centers. You used vulgar language to describe countries in Africa. You demean, mock, and sometimes threaten your political rivals.
So, Mr. President, you are coming here to rally around a faith that you have failed to uphold. We need more than a sermon on your Christian values, we need you to act on those proclaimed values to uplift the poor, help the sick, and love thy neighbor. A person who cannot stay true to their values has no place in the Oval Office and you, sir, do not have the moral fortitude to deserve our support.
Sincerely,
Reverend Kevin Chambliss, Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, Miami-Dade County
Reverend James T Golden, Manatee County
Rev. Ana Higginbothan, Director of Social Action Commission, St. Paul A.M.E Church, Palm Beach County
Reverend Gerald Kisner, Palm Beach County
Missionary Dr. Stephanie Poole, Church of God in Christ, Palm Beach County
Reverend Kevin Jones, Assistant Pastor, Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church
Dr. Robert M. Spooney, Pastor, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Orange County
Reverend Jason Fairbanks, First Congregational United Church of Christ, Palm Beach County
Reverend Lionel F. Camel, Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Palm Beach County
Elder Richard Broxey, Church of God In Christ, Palm Beach County
Elder Dr. Deandre Poole, Church of God in Christ, Palm Beach County
Elder Dr. Philip Hall, Church of God in Christ, Palm Beach County
Elder James Tapscott, Church of God in Christ, Palm Beach County
I wrote about the problem with this thinking in Christian circles a few years ago. The point is, Jesus commanded the individual to acts of charity NOT Caesar. Charrity works both ways, for the giver as well as the receiver. Liberal Christians forget that the main job of Christians is the salvation of souls, not the corporal works of mercy. Theirs is essentially socialism with a Christian face. It is profoundly wrong.Oh, and what happened to "judge not lest ye be judged"? That is the liberal Christian's favorite passage, but it strangely disappears when a conservative is involved.
I might add this is dishonest to boot. President Trump was following the law by "separating families" - a law his opponents saw fit to put in place. Mr. Obama, his besainted predecessor, was the guy who actually implemented this plan. It's intended to separate children from human traffickers as well as protect them from danger. They would be reunited with the parents if they obtain asylum, or return home. This is following the law and court order. To NOT do this would be a terrible cruelty, and I suspect these faux Evangelical pastors know this. I believe lying is still a sin, even if it is in the service of some odd notion of Christianity.
These "Christians" serve a strange god. Theirs is a god of social justice, not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The former is about remaking society much like the antichrist is said to do 'he thinks to change times and laws". The latter is God, who wants us to give freely to the poor and needy but in the end who is more concerned with the eternal destination of souls. God doesn't want people to go to Hell. These "Christian leaders" don't want Democrats to go back home from Washington.

The only reason we have "interests" in the Persian Gulf is oil. We certainly have friends there, after WW2 there are a number of gulf states that were our erstwhile allies and legitimate friends like Turkey, Pakistan and Israel, but generally the COld War and the free flow of oil at market prices was a key interest for the free world.
Now that the US has broken the back of OPEC and has become a net exporter of oil and natural gas, we have no need to get all bent out of shape if the supply of oil is threatened.
For decades, North America has had all the oil we needed, but it was locked up in sands and shales. We developed the technology to get this oil at market prices and BAM Iran cannot cause an oil shock by threatening its neighbors.
Hippy dimwits like to chant "No Blood For Oil" but the truth is that oil makes the economy run - globally. Choke off the oil supply and people go hungry. Hungry people act nuts and start trouble - trouble leads to death. Hippy dimwitss who chant "No Blood for Oil" are not living in the real world.
The real world now is, we can whack terrorists - or not - because the economic weapon of cutting off oil is no longer available to actors in the Middle East.
A NOTE FROM TIM:
The Iranians know it deep down, too, which is why they were so eager to get on board the Kerry/Obama deal. Now that Trump has withdrawn us from that sucker's game they realize the jig will soon be up.
We can squeeze them absolutely dry if we have to. They will continue to push, continue to escalate until they get help from their Russian and Chinese friends - and the U.N.
I really do think this could lead to war, but the other, the Obama way, was guaranteed to lead to war. Clearly a firm hand now is the better option, in that we may be able to force some kind of change. Appeasement only gave the Iranians more money to use to promote war.

And so forth. This is a long article, but history lessons tend to be long. Apparently too long for some people to learn: Jimmy Carter never learned, and neither did John Kerry. Nor will today's Leftists.President Trump on Wednesday gave the most honest, direct speech about Iran's dictatorship that has ever given by an American president. It was a refreshing break from the lies and self-deception that have characterized much of the American establishment’s efforts to avoid thinking about it.
Watching the various reactions to the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, I have been struck by how historically ignorant most politicians and commentators are – and how our political-diplomatic language and mindset block us from reality.
The reality is: Iran's dictatorship has been waging war against the United States for more than 40 years.
I was a freshman in House of Representatives in 1979 when the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was overthrown and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini became the dictator of Iran.
Khomeini maneuvered brilliantly from Paris to Tehran. He gave President Jimmy Carter’s administration smooth reassurances that he feared the Americans too much to be a threat. Once in power, however, Khomeini was quite clear about his hostility to the United States.
For the last 40 years, I have watched the Iranian dictatorship wage war on America.
On Nov. 4, 1979 protesters chanting "Death to America†seized the U.S. Embassy in the Iranian capital of Tehran in complete violation of international law.
Host governments have an obligation to protect embassies. But, in fact, the Iranian dictatorship used the embassy seizure to pressure the United States.
When it was clear President Carter would not respond forcefully to the attack on our embassy and the hostage taking, Khomeini said "the Americans can’t do a damn thing against us,†which became a slogan in Iran.
I have listened to a Carter administration official who had been in the negotiations with Khomeini’s new dictatorship. The United States offered economic aid, offered to fulfill its military contracts, and promised to supply the parts for the American military equipment Iran already had.
On every offer, the Iranians responded that they didn’t care about any of that. They wanted the U.S. to turn over the shah, who was in exile in the U.S. and dying of cancer, so they could try him and kill him in public.
The hostility was implacable and unyielding. Further, "Death to America Day†became a national holiday in Iran in 1987, commemorating the anniversary of the seizing of the American Embassy.
This attitude of American weakness persisted for 40 years. As Clifford May reported for The Washington Times: "Indeed, on Jan. 1, in response to Mr. Trump’s vow to hold Iran’s rulers 'fully responsible’ for any lives lost at the besieged Baghdad embassy, the supreme leader’s official website proclaimed: "There is no damn thing you can do.â€
Despite every effort of the Carter administration, the 52 American hostages were held for 444 days and released only as Ronald Reagan was sworn in as president.

Conservative HQ has an article about the dangers of the USMCA. It warns:
How many patriotic Americans are going to tolerate President Trump’s much vaunted USMCA once it begins being implemented by the powers of the UN globalist, once our patriots see what the USMCA really does.
It will:
Take our sovereignty,
Override our Constitution,
Circumvent our Congress,
Take jurisdiction over our Courts
Override our Property Rights with the UN’s Sustainable Development/Agenda 2030
Establish a Single Energy Grid for Canada, Mexico and the US run by the UN
Establish a Supranational Bureaucracy for all three countries
Establish Open Immigration among the 3 countries
Climate Change regulations & taxes will be implemented
"Gender Identity†and "gender-related issues†(aka LGBTQ) will be promoted
Control our Customs Duties
Effectively make us a member state of the globalists run North American Union
And then there are the exceptions for each country (even more UN control of America)
This article is very short on specifics, but I have heard much of it before. AND, most worrisome, the Democrats in the House advanced this to the Senate, in the middle of the Impeachment inquiry! They wouldn't do this if it wasn't a poison pill. Also, the liberal Council on Foreign Relations is supporting this.
I have always believed in Trust but Verify. If this is as bad as some say - and it appears to be a globalist treaty - then we should not trust President Trump blindly on this. How much of it was actually the President's work? How much was it the work of the professional diplomatic cadre?
Remember, Bill Clinton gave us NAFTA and that hangs around the Democrats' heads. If Trump does this he and the Republicans own it.
When in doubt, don't I always say.

A Viking Rune worries about Climate Change - in the year 800!
From Physorg:
The stuy is based on new archaeological research describing how badly Scandinavia suffered from a previous climate catastrophe with lower average temperatures, crop failures, hunger and mass extinctions. Bo Gräslund, professor in Archaeology at Uppsala University, points to several reasons why people may have feared a new catastrophe of this kind:
"Before the Rök runestone was erected, a number of events occurred which must have seemed extremely ominous: a powerful solar storm colored the sky in dramatic shades of red, crop yields suffered from an extremely cold summer, and later a solar eclipse occurred just after sunrise. Even one of these events would have been enough to raise fears of another Fimbulwinter," says Bo Gräslund.
According to the researchers' new interpretation now being published, the inscription consists of nine riddles. The answer to five of these riddles is "the Sun." One is a riddle asking who was dead but now lives again. The remaining four riddles are about Odin and his warriors.
Gee, I guess all of those Norse SUV''S were the cause of all this!Goes to show the climate has ALWAYS been a concern. Carbon Dioxide has little to do with it.

In a facebook post a long lost cousin of mine linked up a Breitbart article about the Australian fires and a liberal reader huffed and puffed, leading yours truly to take him on.
First, Ginny posted this:
Just because it's a Breitbart article doesnt make it the information within incorrect. Also, the conditions described toward the end of the article are absolutely man made factors that contributed to the spread of the fires. The article agrees that the climate conditions in Australia are man made, just not the result of global warming. This isn't trying to debunk global warming, and does reference the temperature as a contributing factor, but with all of the other ripe conditions, these fires would have happened with or without record breaking temps.
Liberal Chris snorted his derision:
I didnt say incorrect. I said biased. They are known climate change deniers. So while their story may be true that some fires are started by arsonists, their assumption that that is the only cause is suspect due to their bias.
I replied
You don't think the mainstream media is biased? Even when they are truthful they do not understand the science and grossly distort an issue like this - when not actively, purposefully promoting this theory. Example; there has been no RISE in sea level rise but the media keeps reporting sea level rise (it's been rising at roughly the same rate since the end of the Little Ice Age.)
Chris
Timothy Birdnow My point is not to argue for or against man made climate change. I'm simply stating that the source should not be trusted due to the extreme bias of Breitbart. I dont believe any story is accurately reported by The National Enqiurer, and I trust them about the same as Breitbart. Kudos to Ginny for providing other examples of similar reporting from other media outlets. IMO, the sheer number of fires and the scope of the burn, seems like it would be a lot more than just arson as the main culprit. California suffers arson attacks almost every year but the entire state, every square mile, has never been on fire. Not even close. There are more factors at play. Maybe arson, maybe natural warming, maybe climate change. Regardless, Breitbart would not have run the article if it didnt support their bias. Just my take on the subject matter.
I replied:
Australia is prone to massive fires, but fire suppression efforts keep it down (as in California.) Australia just happened to have a very hot and dry year coupled with a governmental policy to NOT clear away deadwood or do controlled burns, Chris Hartwig. The heat is entirely natural, a result of a broken Antarctic polar vortex and a strong Indian Ocean Dipole which sucked water out of the western Indian Ocean and heat in - right into Australia. It had nothing to do with Climate Change. http://icecap.us/index.php/go/political-climate/heat_and_drought_in_australia_and_drought_in_south_africa_tied_to_negative_/ and https://
notalotofpeoplek nowthat.wordpre ss.com/2020/01/ 05/ australia-drough t-the-indian-oc ean-dipole-sudd en-stratospheri c-warming/ As to your point about Breitbart - -rove it. It's easy to make ad-hominem attacks without any evidence - which is what you are doing here. How is Breitbart in any way comparable to the National Enquirer? And how is a mainstream outlet any more credible? I can name countless stories by mainstream media that were incorrect or biased, probably more than you can so name for Breitbart. Just because they hold a different political view than do you does not make them a junk site, sir.
Oh, by the way, every square mile of Australia is not on fire either. According to this CNN article from three days ago, (I imagine you like my quoting this source) https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/03/australia/australian-fire-inferno-intl-hnk/index.html?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiTgrvUmvTmAhUxmeAKHXsxDggQFjAAegQIABAB 1,020 square miles of land have been burned - a very large amount, to be certain, but a drop in the bucket compared to Australias 2.9 million square miles in area. Last year in California 970 square miles burned - not a whole lot less than Australia now. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2019-08-19/california-wildfire-acreage-down?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwilzpeDnPTmAhVhg-AKHQL9CngQFjAHegQIBRAB And it should be pointed out that 21,000 square miles of forest burned in Siberia last year,https://www.vox.com/world/2019/8/20/20813786/wildfire-amazon-rainforest-brazil-siberia?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi4l9G_nPTmAhVITd8KHS7XCUAQFjAKegQIBBAB and in 2016 1.8 million square miles of Africa burned. https://apnews.com/49f74a56b5564cae8d49f3022223d003?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjdz8bPnvTmAhVGwFkKHXwNCG8QFjADegQIBxAB The point is, there was and is burning on this scale all over the world. It's not that unusual. The problem is human beings are trying to restore "ancient" forests by not thinning, not logging, and thus allowing fuel to accumulate. Massive fires are natural and beenficial to the ecosystem. But we have to control them to avoid their getting out of control We used to do controlled burns. No longer. It's bad government policy that is the cause, not much else. But the media latches on to any such disaster as Australia because it drives a political agenda.
According to Wikipedia - a user-edited and therefore unreliable site - the total square mileage of Australia burned as of today (January 8) is 41,000 square miles. That is a lot, for sure, but not more than South America this season (there were major fires in Bolivia and Paraguay as well as Brazil). It should be noted that South America's fire season last year was at the fifteen year average. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-49433767 In other words, it was not all that unusual, despite the hype in the media. It should be pointed out there were worse fires in Australia in both 1984 and even more so in 1974. https://interactive.guim.co.uk/embed/iframeable/2019/01/reusable-vertical-bar-chart-v4/html/index.html?key=1IFWboR47jypmAXJyqiCk3PNw2sqmoJbtBMK2lASEfvQ

Florida is crazy. It reminds me of California back in the '70's, when every nut went there. I fear it will wind up becoming the next Golden State.
Florida Police were Called for a Woman Screaming "Let me Out" it was a Parrot
After showing up to the Lake Worth Beach home, the deputies soon discovered that the supposed "victim" was actually a parrot named Rambo.
The homeowner was changing the brakes on his car, according to NBC News affiliate WPTV , when the deputies arrived and notified him that his neighbor had called to report that there was a woman screaming inside asking for help and to be let out.
The owner then introduced Rambo to the officers.

(In regards to the post about Soleimani and his Qud chewers)
Quds or Beitol moghadas (Persian : قدس - بیت المقدس ‎) refer to the city of Jerusalem.
So Soleimani's Quds force wants to take Jerusalem. Well, Israel developed these military drones a while back and I believe shared the technology with America. So Soleimani got a bit of Jerusalem inspired technology sent to him via airmail, special delivery.

Go here https://patriotpulse.net/maxine-waters-had-a-call-with-greta-thunberg-but-there-was-one-big-problem/ to read the rest of the article and enjoy the video. Popcorn is recommended!Maxine Waters may be the dumbest person ever to serve in Congress.
She proves that every single day.
And she did it yet again after having a call with Greta Thunberg where there was one big problem.
After being awarded TIME’s person of the year, there is nobody the left is worshipping more than Greta Thunberg.
Somehow skipping to school to demand far-left policies on "climate change†is enough to become the face of the left.
So when Maxine Waters got the chance to talk to Thunberg, she jumped at the opportunity.
The only problem is that it wasn’t actually Thunberg on the phone, but instead two Russian pranksters known for tricking politicians.
While impersonating Thunberg, they were able to get Waters to show solidarity with the imaginary island people of "Choon-Go-Chonga†in a hilarious exchange.
Fox News reports:
Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., appeared to have been tricked by Russian pranksters into thinking she was speaking on the phone with Greta Thunberg and that the teenage climate activist had dirt on President Trump.
Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, who go by the names Vovan and Lexus on YouTube, released audio of a phone conversation allegedly between Waters and people she believed to be Thunberg and her father. The audio was accompanied by illustrations poking fun at the conversation.
The conversation began with "Thunberg†telling Waters that she was calling from a climate strike meeting in North Carolina where they were advocating for the protection of the fictitious "Chon-Go-Chango†islands. She asked Waters to make remarks to the meeting attendees, where she showered "Thunberg†with praise.

The mainstream media is ecstatic over the Australian fires, claiming it is "proof" of Global Warming Climate Change.
They are claiming that the heat wave in Australia is THE WORST EVER and a result of carbon dioxide emissions and we are all going to die.
But are they?
No; there have been numerous people arrested for purposely setting these fires.
From Newsweek:
"Investigations into the cause, origin and overall impact of fires are continuing and since the latest State of Emergency was declared...Strike Force Tronto has provided expertise to six police area commands and eight police districts," NSW police said in a statement.
"As inquiries continue, police are appealing to the community to provide footage and/or images from phones, dashcam, or other devices, that show any of the fires in their infancy, even if only from a distance."
Police in the state have also taken legal action against a further 159 people. Among them are 53 people who allegedly failed to comply with a total fire ban and 47 people who allegedly discarded a lit cigarette or match on land.
Breitbart also reports that:Who are they and what motivates them? Are they environmental activists trying to force Scoldilocks Thurnberg's vision? Are they Islamic Jihadists? I want to know.
And gross mismanagement of land by the Australian government at the behest of the Greens is one of the root causes of these massive fires, which have plenty of fuel because
See more from Joseph D'Aleo at Icecap.
It should also be pointed out that, completely ignored by the mainstream media, the heat wave/drought ties in with the Indian Ocean Dipole, a phenomenon similar to the ENSO and La Ninoa This results from easterly winds which lead to an upwelling in cold water - and this means hot dry air is drawn over Australia. It's a NATURAL phenomenon.
Also, there was a breakdown of the south polar vortex (unusual in Antarctica but common in the Arctic) which has helped draw in hot dry air to Australia.he government of Australia will not allow the removal of fallen deadwood or controlled burns.
So, we have an unusually hot and dry year, people purposely setting fires, and a lot of deadwood lying around thanks to environmentalists. It was guaranteed to lead to a major fire season, just as it was in Brazil this last year or in California.

(This is in response to the Aviary story about Michael Bloomberg's lust for gun confiscation.)
Bloomberg's proposed gun control laws are the same as Adolph Hitler's. That is not an exaggeration but literally true. All these crazed elitist Jews who think their small population would not become the victims of a left wing government or petty armed criminal chaos were they to get their wet dream gun laws passed are totally self-delusional. Or possess hired armed guards which they believe they would be allowed to keep.
You may recall an article I wrote a long time ago about some Jewish group opposing a cross on federal land near San Diego. I told this story briefly to a Russian Jewish immigrant who used to write for Amer. Thinker and experienced a harsher life in Russia. She immediately replied, "First they want Gentile police officers to protect their synagogues and then they attack the faith of these police." I didn't have to develop a long article's argument to explain the repercussions of Bloomberg's gun laws to her. She immediately understood it would mean strong resentment of Bloomberg AND HIS ETHNIC GROUP among the General American (Gentile) population. Who's gonna protect the synagogues - Al Sharpton? As my late mother used to say, "This MAKES (creates) anti-semitism."
The more Bloomberg and Steyer become the public face of Judaism in America, the worse it is for me - and even the members of Jonathan Cahn's Messianic congregation. As the chief rabbi of Moscow said when Leon Trotsky (born "Bronstein") refused to protect the Moscow main synagogue, "It is the Trotskys that make the revolution and it is the Bronsteins who pay."And, if you recall the history, Trotsky himself was hunted down by Stalin's assassins who put an ice pick into his skull, killing him. In the end, the Trotskys payed as well for their revolution.

Liberal claims to the contrary, American agriculture is producing record crops, despite media claims of a "climate change catastrophe'" on America's farms - and around the world.
From CFACT:
Presenting crop data collected by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the Global Economy website documents that U.S. crop yieldsare enjoying excellent short-term, mid-term, and long-term growth, with new records being set almost every year. According to the USDA publication, "Crop Production Historical Track Records,†the past three years produced the three highest U.S. wheat yields per acre in history. The past five years produced the five highest U.S. corn yields and the five highest soybean yields per acre in history. U.S. and global crop production are a story of steady growth and almost yearly new records as the Earth modestly warms.
Even with the "catastrophic weather this year,†the USDA projects this year’s corn, soybean, and wheat yields to each be among the top six years all-time. Also, much of the problematic "catastrophic weather†occurred as part of early-spring snowstorms and late-fall snowstorms, which will continue to become less frequent and severe with ongoing modest warming.
At the global level, the UN Food and Agriculture’s "World Food Situation†website documents the same strong, consistent crop growth globally, with new records being set virtually every year.
Yet the media repeats the lie that we are witnessing unprecedented climatic disasters and are going to starve. And so many people believe that.Basically, when the Earth did not cooperate with the climate models the environmental lobby aka the Gang Green simply altered the Earth's records. They FRAMED industry, as surely as an innocent man is framed for a crime he did not committ. They simply moved forward with their predictions as fact, ignoring the reality. We now have an alternate universe, a reality that is at odds with the universe we inhabit.
I've always said Liberalism is the sin of witchcraft; an attempt to create your own reality and ignore what God made real. I think that is what the Bible means when it says in the Last Days men would not repent of the sorcery; they won't admit there is something outside of their godhead.
This is proof of that assertion, methinks.
The article goes on to discuss the "refugee" crisis:
The UN global crop production data is particularly helpful getting to the bottom of claims that climate change is a major factor in people attempting to enter the United States from Central America. NBC News, for example, published a July 2019 article titled, "Central America’s choice: Pray for rain or migrate.†The subtitle read, "Ravaged by drought, farmers in rural Honduras and Guatemala live on the edge of hunger.†The article placed the blame for drought, crop failures, and resultant migration on global warming.
UN Food and Agriculture data, however, show Honduras and Guatemalaare enjoying long-term growth in crop yields per acre, with record crop yields being set throughout the past decade. The same holds true for Mexico and nearly every other country in Central America.
So it is definitely not crop failure that is driving the Central American invasion. It's not violence, either; I've crunched the numbers in the past and the violence levels are not much worse than many American cities.
If it's not food and not violence, what is it? I don't think we'll like the answer. Suffice it to say I suspect we've been RECRUITING colonists to settle here. George Soros and others of his ilk have been advertising to find people looking for a better life and promising them they will be given help circumventing our immigration laws.
At any rate, nothing is as it appears in the mainstream media.

Ah, basking in the glow of Victory - and the incandescent light bulb!
In a little noticed move, President Trump has saved the incandescent light bulb from the clutches of the gang-greanous environmental lobby.
Dr. Bonner Cohen gives us the story at CFACT:
Yet eleven days before stricter energy efficiency standards were to begin, effective Jan. 1, 2020, DOE announced the regulations "are not economically justified.â€
Innovation and Technology, Not Government Overregulation
"Today the Trump Administration chose to protect consumer choice by ensuring that the American people do not pay the price for unnecessary overregulation from the federal government,†Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette said in a statement. "Innovation and technology are already driving progress, increasing the efficiency and affordability of lightbulbs, without federal government intervention. The American people will continue to have a choice on how they light their homes.â€
The new rule affects pair-shaped bulbs and a range of other forms of lighting, including three-way bulbs, cone-shaped reflector bulbs used in recessed and track lighting, candle-shaped bulbs used in chandeliers and sconces, and round globe-shaped bulbs used in bathroom fixtures.
Look how close we came to being forced into using the eye-damaging LED's or the worse toxic and dim curlique compact florescents. There never was a single good reason to force all Americans to use these bulbs, but the Bush Administration went right along with the Democrats in banning the incandescent bulb. Now why is that?
We have plenty of energy to light bulbs, and the choice should be the consumer, not the bureaucrat. Is America a free society or not? A free society is not centrally planned.
IF LED bulbs were so much better than incandescents they would not have had to mandate them. The public would have eagerly purchased these products.
Dr. Cohen goes on to discuss other such mandates, such as the "low flow" toilet that must be flushed at least three times to eliminate the eliminations, and usually has to be plunged, and the low water dishwasher which failed to actually wash dishes, or get them clean at any rate.
Promotion of technology is as bad as suppression; both lead to the suppression of some tech in the end, tech that might lead to a revolution. Cellular phones, for example, are actually fairly old technology, but the U.S. government banned their use. I suspect it was to make it harder for Soviet spies to communicate without our knowing it or some such, but did this do us any favors?
The Romans invented a steam engine and the Emperor suppressed it, realizing it would upset the slave economy of the Empire. So Rome never had an industrial revolution as they should have, and the world suffered an entire millenia as a result. Suppressing such things only hurts you in the end - and helps your competitors if they get there first.

From Kenneth Timmerman at The New York Post:
Wherever Iran has sent its expeditionary Quds Force to war — in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen — there you would find Soleimani.
[...]
He also set up a far-flung financial empire, reportedly taking a percentage of the float on all foreign currency exchange from Iraqi banks, netting close to $1 billion per month in black money to finance his terror empire.
[...]
His many brushes with death and his outrageous terror rap sheet, which is longer than bin Laden’s, led Soleimani and his supporters to consider him invincible. His demise at the hands of US forces on Thursday not only shows that is not the case but that the aura of invincibility of the regime itself is over....
He was the irreplaceable man - and he's now at room temperature!

Missouri Governor Mike Parsons screwed us here in the Show Me State. I called his office and gave them an earful, but I doubt it will matter. That's a large part of why the Democrats were so eager to get rid of Eric Greitens; they knew Parsons was a weenie from the get-go.go.
What is the point of electing Republicans if we get Democratic policies?
