Yes, the border wall is being built.
From Conservative HQ:
"Construction started Friday at Border Field State Park in San Diego. The old wall was only 10 feet high, the new wall will stand between 18 and 30 feet tall, include an "anti-climbing†plate and replace over 14 miles of improvised border fencing built in the 1990s out of scrap metal and repurposed steel plates.
Crews will build the wall starting half a mile from the Pacific Ocean, east to the bottom of Otay Mountain in East County, reported Allison Horn of San Diego’s FOX News 4.
Trump’s new wall will replace the old one that stretched 8-to-10-feet-high with metal fencing that was built in the 1990s out of scrap metal and repurposed steel plates. The old rusty border wall has proven to be no match for modern day drug smugglers and human traffickers says Jeroslyn Johnson of hollywoodunlocked.com."
End excerpt.
You can't keep a good man down they say. But you CAN keep a trespassing alien down - if you really want to - south of the border, that is. It just takes the will to do it.

From American Thinker:
Here is the money quote:
Rick Monday was in center field for the Chicago Cubs back on April 25, 1976, when two men emerged from the stands and walked out on to the outfield grass with an American flag...and a can of lighter fluid and a pack of matches.
While Dodger Stadium watched in horror, ex-Marine Monday sprinted from his position and snatched the flag away just before the protesters were able to put flame to it.
Back in 1976, Monday said, "I've visited too many V.A. hospitals and seen too many kids who were mangled trying to protect what it stands for."
Forty years later, he noted, "What I knew was what they were doing was wrong then, and it's wrong today. I had a lot of friends who lost their lives protecting the rights and freedoms that flag represented[.] ... Maybe I was thinking about the drill instructors from boot camp. I didn't want any of them saying, 'Marine, why did you stand by and watch those guys burn that American flag?'"
Where have you gone, Rick Monday? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you... more...

This tidbit of wisdom, which I have been agreeing with for a long time, is courtesy of the Federalist Patriot:
"Those gentlemen, who will be elected senators, will fix themselves in the federal town, and become citizens of that town more than of your state.â€
—George Mason (1788)
Mason, you may recall, was an anti-Federalist and he thought the Constitution was going to create a monster. He was wrong - at first - but now he can be seen as more prescient than we knew.

In a special election in a Kansas City suburb, a former school teacher supported by Big Labor has defeated the Republican candidate, and our friends at Yahoo News are ecstatic.
"Tonight’s result is the latest example of the unprecedented energy we’re seeing across the country, and further proof that when we organize, we can win everywhere,†Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said in a statement.
Following Arthur’s win, a Missouri Republican consultant issued a warning to the GOP for the looming November midterms.
"Every suburban Republican should be petrified tonight,†the consultant told the Star, speaking anonymously. "This devastating loss signals they could lose this fall.â€

Hell, YES!!! G-d Bless America.
If I were a Democrat, I'd vote for Trump in 2020 at least 20 times. I also see the Mayor of Philly is angry. Boo Hoo.
https://www.aol.com/article/news/2018/06/05/trump-taunts-nfl-over-escaping-to-locker-rooms-after-changing-eagles-visit-to-a-national-anthem-party/23451289/
President Donald Trump taunted the NFL on Tuesday by hyping up a party at the White House he decided to throw without them.
Typically, US sports teams who win a championship may be invited to the White House. But during Trump's presidency, with his repeated criticism of the NFL and sports teams, the affair has become more complicated.
On Monday, the White House released a statement saying the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles would not attend the ceremony.
It said they weren't coming since "they disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country."
Instead, Trump said that Eagles fans could still come to the White House for a patriotic celebration, and taunted the NFL about it on Tuesday.
"We will proudly be playing the National Anthem and other wonderful music celebrating our Country today at 3 P.M., The White House, with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus. Honoring America! NFL, no escaping to Locker Rooms!" Trump tweeted.

Google's New Slogan
Dennis Prager writes:
"The original slogan of Google was "Don't be evil." When Google changed its corporate name to Alphabet in 2015, it changed the slogan to "Do the right thing."
If it were to be true to its values, Google should have changed its slogan from "Don't be evil" to "Don't fight evil."
Here is The New York Times report from this past Friday: "Google, hoping to head off a rebellion by employees upset that the technology they were working on could be used for lethal purposes, will not renew a contract with the Pentagon for artificial intelligence work ...
"Google's work with the Defense Department on the Maven program, which uses artificial intelligence to interpret video images and could be used to improve the targeting of drone strikes, roiled the internet giant's work force. Many of the company's top A.I. researchers, in particular, worried that the contract was the first step toward using the nascent technology in advanced weapons. ...
"About 4,000 Google employees signed a petition demanding 'a clear policy stating that neither Google nor its contractors will ever build warfare technology.'"
CBS News reported that the petition also said, "We believe that Google should not be in the business of war."
In other words, to the heads of Google and thousands of its elite employees, it is immoral to aid in the defense of their country, and all war is immoral.
Google and these 4,000 employees embody two terrible traits: moral idiocy and ingratitude.

This is one of the best new books on thriving after the stresses of combat or just serving in a war zone. The author is a former woman Marine who served in Iraq as a military police officer. She had her own issues with PTSD and is now, over a decade later, a health services professional with a PhD. who goes around the country helping veterans (and, of course, writing books). The comments by veterans below say that this is the real deal, not some abstract academic b.s. by someone who never was in the military and never deployed. She comes from a Marine family with her father and brother being Marines. Now she is married and has a young boy. And she also opens up and talks about her emotional vulnarabilities and is quite a combination of strength and caring. I've read about 42 pages of this book and am very much impressed with her.

Adam Ford Sells 'Babylon Bee,' Takes on the Facebook-Google Mafia's 'Duopoly on Information'
"On Tuesday, Christian comic writer Adam Ford announced he had sold the popular satire website "The Babylon Bee" for a variety of reasons. While Ford said he sold the Bee for personal as well as ideological reasons, his statement emphasized his battle against the "tyranny over information" stemming from the centralization of the Internet around sites like Facebook and Google.
Ford noted that the Babylon Bee succeeded largely thanks to social media and Facebook in particular, "but the power that Facebook held over me as a content creator began to make me very uneasy," he said in an extended statement. The Christian comic artist likened Facebook to a mob boss."

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/06/portland_bakery_fires_two_employees_for_refusing_service_to_a_black_customer_after_closing_time.html
It turns out that the comedy TV series Portlandia may be a documentary. KOMO-TV, a Seattle station, reports on the latest manifestation of absurdity emanating from a city so absurd that it generated its own parody television series: Two employees of a bakery in Northeast Portland were fired earlier this month for denying a black woman service because the business had closed. "Back To Eden Bakery" released several public apologies and statements following the incident, before letting the employees go. In one Facebook post, the bakery´s co-owner wrote, "We are doing business in a gentrified neighborhood in a racist city

When Oakland, San Francisco and California sued major oil companies for (selling them) oil and natural gas that the litigants now claim are causing warmer seasons, worse weather, rising seas and other climate chaos, they expected a slam dunk – or at least a quick settlement by the defendant companies for billions of dollars. They did not expect the companies would fight back … or that they would get a tech-savvy judge like William Alsup … or that the judge would say they must present actual scientific evidence to back up their manmade climate cataclysm assertions.
They certainly didn’t expect Judge Alsup to tell them they must tally not only the alleged damages from burning oil, natural gas and coal – but also theimmense benefits to humanity and Californians from using those fuels for the past 150 years.
To help Judge Alsup – and the litigating attorneys, citizens, politicians and journalists of jurisdictions that are suing oil companies over speculative manmade climate change – Roger Bezdek and I have compiled a concise history, science, health and economics lesson in how fossil fuels have undeniably improved, enhanced, safeguarded and saved countless lives over the past century and a half.
