From Victor Thomas Ignatious:
One of the criticisms about some people is that they think too highly
of themselves. That some folks think they're better than the rest of
us. While that is true, and there are plenty of those types out there,
I find that the opposite is true for many more...
We tend to
think too lowly of ourselves. We can be our worst critics, and the
guilt we place upon ourselves can leave us stuck spiritually or
psychologically
Jung said that neurosis is always a substitute for legitimate suffering. Wise words indeed.
At the core of self abuse is fear and doubt. We cannot accept the fact
that God forgives us once we turn to Christ. Christ atoned for our sins
on the cross. But many of us, while we accept this intellectually doubt
it spiritually.
Filled with guilt, fear, and doubt, we traverse
through life unconsciously, creating events in such a way that the
results of our actions or inactions are harmful and painful. We suffer
needlessly. But unconsciously, we relieve ourselves, albeit
temporarily, from our guilt and shame.
It is part of human nature
to seek atonement and forgiveness for our missing the mark, or living
our lives unconsciously. That part of our nature was put there by God.
It is a part of His imprint within us.
So we do think less of
ourselves more than we think too highly. We think what can I do? What
difference can I make? It's useless to pray for certain things...what
can my prayers accomplish?
I thought about all this because I
prayed for America. The evil that has beset our land is massive and
greater than any time in our history. I thought, what can my one prayer
accomplish?
Now I don't real the Bible nearly as much as I used to in my youth, but these words entered my mind...
"The prayers of a righteous man..." I couldn't remember the rest, so I had to google it... Lol.
The Prayers of a righteous man is powerful and effective...or availeth much.
Me, righteous? NO WAY! As Paul said, of all sinners in this world, I am
the worst! A Catholic prayer often said is, "Jesus forgive me of my
sins. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy
mercy."
Who are those most in need of God's mercy?
ME and YOU!
But knowing this, and accepting Christ makes us righteous!
So stop doubting. Your prayers are powerful and effective. They can
change your life, the lives of others, and help save this nation.
We do need to act. But more powerful and effective than action is prayer. Your prayers. Said alone and said often.
Pray for America.
We desperately need it.
Abusers always break down a victim's sense of self-worth first. Satan is no different. And neither is the Left, which accuseth the bretheren of America night and day to break our self-confidence and thus make us obedient to their abusive ways. But we should know that God Himself blessed this nation and for a reason.
If you look at the history of America we succeeded against some overwhelming odds. George Washington, for instance, overcame impossible odds to win the Revolution. He had horses shot out from under him, and was several times within the grasp of the British. When Benedict Arnold betrayed him some CRIMINALS robbed a guy in the woods and found a lettter from West Point Governor Arnold. Washington was coming to meet Arnold, so they took it to him. He opened it and learned of Arnold's treatury. It was a miracle; had he not seen it he would have fallen into the trap set for him.
We repeatedly have been blessed. Otto Von Bismarck observed " "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America".
So who are we to hang our heads? If God is for us why do we beat ourselves up and treat America like a POS?
The Left seeks that because they want to abuse us. They are civilizational rapists. They want to destroy America, her culture, her traditions, her heritage, her religion and political system. And to do that they first must make us lose all faith in America.
They do that by accusing night and day. America is racist, sexist, homophobic, unjust, unfair, exploitive, mean, nasty, cheap, drunken, lacking any culture, lacking polish, lacking any merit whatsoever. And we must atone, because we are guilty, guilty, guilty!
So they attack the symbols of our country. They go after our statutes, our monuments. They rename streets and schools and other public buildings. They remove the Confederate flag, a part of our history, and replace it with the rainbow flag representing a pervcerse sexual movement. They kneel at the national anthem and play a "black national anthem" in it's stead.
They impugne our history. They find every fault and claim it proves we have a "toxic" culture - even when we have already corrected the problem. (How long will we stand accused over slavery, a system that was ubiquitous at the founding of America, which America got rid of at about the same time as everyone else - save the British - and which we ended with our blood?) the create calumnous lies such as the 1619 Project. And they do all this through the educational system we fund at OUR expense.
Systematically they are breaking down our emotional and intellectual personality and replacing it with a twisted and demonic one of their choosing. Just like an abuser who torments his victim, they seek to make us subservient.
I say nuts to that! God blessed this country and we should be proud of it if only for that reason. If God says we are worthy than we are worthy - and no amount of criticism from these clowns should make us lose faith in her.
Satan is the accuser, he accuseth the bretheren night and day before the throne of the Most High. And his servants accuse the United States on this Earth. But we can choose to ignore those accusations. In fact, we can accuse them of the guilt with which they are driven to hate us.
