There are so many reasons for EV's that are unsavory. They will be used to pen citizens into the cities. Once the subsidies are taken off and the demand rises these things will become too expensive - but we will have killed the internal combustion engine, so there will be only one alternative - public transit. The Left has wanted that for decades.
And so everyone will move into the cities and be one big happy family (right). You'll walk or bike or take the bus everywhere. Most people will end up living within miles of where they were born and never going beyond that, like people used to do in the old days. And government will be able to keep tabs on everyone and you will own nothing and be happy...
