The Roots of Black Radicalism

Black lives matter. Absolutely. I would never say otherwise.

But Black Lives Matter, the organization, is another matter. As are many other organizations fomenting the riots and revolutionary actions currently tearing apart America's cities and wreaking havoc on their residents, including the very people such organizations claim to want to elevate.

Sadly, many caught up in the movement would be horrified to learn of what the organizations backing it are really after.

William Walter Kay has been studying such movements for years. He's recently published three papers on some of them, the first of which is linked here, the second and third in the comments immediately below. They're worth reading.

While this is brilliant as is everything from our old friend William Kay, I do disagree with his opening:

"Racists presume the Black Movement must be the puppet of some non-Black eminence. Ignoramuses blame Black Movement activism on foreign powers or on diablos like Antifa or Soros. No, the Black Movement is as American as baseball. A more fruitful hypothesis might be that the Black Movement seems to be perfecting, and profiting from, the incitement of riots."

I disagree, and in fact I think William does likewise; he points out that this movement (or movements) is ultimately well funded by progressive corporations and foundations, which means it IS ultimately a product of the plutocracy. You can argue it is grass roots - and in some ways it is - but in the end it wouldn't exist without the real profits coming from the uber wealthy who are giving it succour. It would be a minor fringe - and a lot of the people currently involved would never have joined had it not been for bandwagoning.

That's how you astroturf a movement. It's always a matter of following the money.
