PETA: Cow's milk a symbol of white supremacy

In a statement, the animal rights group links the dairy industry’s treatment of the cows to the concept of white supremacy.

"Aside from ‘lactose-tolerant’ white supremacists, cow’s milk really is the perfect drink of choice for all (even unwitting) supremacists, since the dairy industry inflicts extreme violence on other living beings,” the organization said in part.

"PETA is trying to wake people up to the implications of choosing this white beverage and suggesting that they choose something else pronto,” the statement continues.

1  Aside from blind white supremacists,a white light bulb really is the perfect light bulb of choice for all (even unwitting) supremacists,since the white light bulb industry inflicts extreme violence on other living beings.   This game is fun. There are endless white products that can replace milk  in their statement. Therefore all white products are racist and must be abolished.A world without white. What a perfect world that would be.

3 Idea: we should ask those PETA freaks this question: what if that white milk comes from black cows? Is it then a problem? The standard milk cow is a Holstein, or more properly, Holstein-Freisian. They come in various patterns of black and white, going all the way to solid black. Their milk is white, except for the cream, which is (wait for the punch line) cream-colored.

4 I'll play. Maybe we should ban refrigerators? Most are white, after all. I guess we need "refrigerators of color" to avoid being racist.

5 We used to have "refrigerators of color." Who can forget avocado green and harvest gold?

We had to get a new kitchen range last year, and our landlady "picked one out for us." I kidded her that she didn't ask us about the color, that I wanted one in avocado green. She has a good sense of humor and told me she asked for one but they were all sold out.

Speaking of milk: did you ever hear this variation of the old "Purple Cow" poem? I've never seen a purple cow, I never hope to see one. But from the milk we're getting now I'm sure that there must be one!

6 I didn't have an avocado refrigerator but I did have an ancient brown one I bought at a flee market when I first moved out. Hideous, but it only cost me a couple of bucks and it worked (well, sort of) until I could scrape the money together to buy a new white one. (I'm so evil!) Used it as a beer box in the basement until it died.

My dad said sometimes cows made "onion milk" when they ate wild green onions on the farm. So why not purple milk?

7 Your Dad's right about "onion milk." Shortly after I was first married, the milk we were getting from our dairy tasted like onions. We had to switch dairies -- this was the dairy my parents had patronized ever since we'd moved back from Florida in 1945. Luckily, there were two of them in the area, and obviously they had different sources.
