I got FoxNation for 2 years for 99 bucks which is about 4 bucks a month. The first thing we watched was a Tucker Carlson investigation about retired Lieutenant Commander Thomas Caldwell, a elderly, physically handicapped veteran who was arrested and thrown in solitary confinement for 49 days based upon charges that have no substance in fact.
He was not part of any conspiracy. He did not go into the capital. He did not hurt anyone or damage any property. He was arrested by a huge crowd of armed FBI officers who showed up with weapons drawn, a battering ram, and arrested him and seized his computers ransacked his home and car, including family photo albums. At this late date, they still have not dropped charges or returned his property. I would think members of the FBI should hang their heads in shame about this terrible episode in American history.

This is how totalitarian regimes cement their power. Random fear. In The Gulag Archipelago Solzenitsen tells the story of a friend of his who, when the KGB showed up at his door, jumped out a window and ran down the street and escaped. He went back to work the next day and never heard anything again. The authorites had a quota, see, and when they lost this fellow they just went to the next name on their list. It had nothing to do with what the man did but was simply random, designed to put fear in the hearts of the citizenry. Crime was immaterial.
